This is why I love RLS... His sound is so different, and he is super sexy haha. I love his voice and his lyrics. He produces his own beats and he's soon to become an icon, I hope. Lupe's 3rd album will be dropping sometime at the end of this year. It better! He's dropped his first single Shining Down ft. Matthew Santos and I've also also heard some tracks, but I'm not sure if it made the album or not. Yes, I'm a die hard Lupe Fan lol. I love his music. It seems to me that he's crossed over to the rock sound, I love it. I wish he could come out here, but I know that'll never happen because people don't appreciate good music out here! haha I'm joking, but it's true, sheesh!

Why is it so hard for me to find a decent guy? All I want is a guy that is respectful. I want a guy who wants to listen to rap music and eat sour gummy worms and Doritos all night and just talk, doesn't have to be sexual as expected. I want a guy to think I'm bad because I'm goofy and I'm not afraid to use my brain. I want a guy that's into fashion, haha. [ he has to go shopping with me] I want a guy that I don't have to feel insecure around. I want him to feel right. I want a guy that takes risks. I want a guy that likes it when I snort while laughing or when I make funny faces. I want a guy whose crazy stupid fun but knows when to be serious. I want to have a real conversation, I want to love unconditionally. I want him to break the stereotypes. I don't wanna be with a guy because he wants a girlfriend...I want him to want me. I want him to want to spend time, take time, make time. I want him to be my friend, because friends last longer than lovers. I want a guy who's weird, who doesn't give a fuck, who likes to be different. I want somebody who can see deeper than others, that has a different outlook on life, someone who fascinates me & I fascinate him, someone whose willing to stay up all night just to hear my voice, someone who I'd think about constantly, someone who genuinely cares, someone who makes mistakes but has the balls to say whats real. I want us to be each others inspiration, motivation, someone who gets me and I'd get him and no one else in this world would understand us, and it wouldn't matter. Is that too much to ask for? Just a Thought.

Good Hair

I was watching Tyra today and I feeling so good about myself. About a week ago I took out my weave and I've been doing braid-outs and styling them which so far has been good but it's a lot of work to maintain. Chris Rock appeared on the show to talk about his documentary called Good Hair coming out in select cities October 9th, tomorrow. After having a weave it was so hard to have my hair short. My neck felt so naked and I wasn't really comfortable. But I love to stand out and I've been getting compliments on my hair so I feel pretty good about myself. Unfortunately, so many girls think that long and straight hair is needed. I'd prefer curly and short, it's cute, daring, bold and different. I love different. thanks to Chris Rock I hope more women, especially black women would stop the relaxers and let go of their insecurities with their hair being to short or too nappy. Also thanks to Tyra for stepping up and showing her real hair and creating inspiration to all of us.

Makeup Tip

I started doing this when I realized that I spend most of my morning putting on eyeshadow. The multiple colors, the blending! I don't know about ya'll but I take forever because I want it to be perfect. Well instead of cakeing your whole eye lid with eyeshadow every morning and if you want a bold, standoutish style, just use any bright color eyeliner. I put it on the water line, [the bottom of you eye] and on the top I use black eyeliner. Sometimes I'll add a brown/neutral eyeshadow to add a little glitter on my lid. Or instead of buying color eyeliner you can use any eyeshadow with a eyeliner brush and get the same maybe even better effect. I have brown eyes and I've noticed that when I use a light greenish-blue color my eyes pop! cool huh? I've heard about ways to make your eyes pop but I never thought it would work for me. I also make it more dramatic, but you can make it subtle. Who cares! Just try it niggahhss! lol jk. Peace!

Forget the perm and weave!! I wanna go back to my curls and fro's, so I'm transitioning my hair right now by using light perm root touch up, and rocking the braid out hairstyles. It's been a year and I'm debating if i should cut my hair short or try to let it grow out some more. I'm just so tired of the fake hair, it's not even mine! So fuck it! So I'm gonna Embrace my India Arie, Erykah Badu side for the fall so watch out! Just because my hair is nappy doesn't mean it's "bad hair". Thank You to all the women who embraces their beauty and helped me to realize that my hair is beautiful!

As you guys already know, I'm into using natural products when it comes to taking care of myself. You all know about Aloe Vera, it's a plant and I've noticed it in a lot of different lotions and soaps. I actually got the chance to use the plant thanks to my great aunt and it works real well. It's a skin protector, non-toxic, not greasy, and allows skin to breathe. If you can't get the actual plant, try to find products that say they have aloe in it!

Ever since I was lil I always had issues with itchy skin. This method works every time and leaves your skin soft and moisturized. It's very cheap and relieves itching and dry skin. Try it!

Step 1

Grind up oatmeal in blender or processor to a fine powder.

Step 2

Add water to make a paste. This paste should not be runny.

Step 3

Apply to skin and let dry, then gently remove with a wash cloth and rinse skin with lukewarm water.

I love him! I believe his name is pronounced Ma-Tay-Oh. I've noticed he's been out for a while but i never was really interested in his music until I heard Get to Know Me. Now i play it everywhere I go. He has this voice where you get all "butterflyery" when he sings. He's truly talented and amazing. I'm so relieved to hear some good music for a change because I was kind of getting tired of the auto-tones and the drop it down low songs. This is some real music & I'm looking forward to hear more of it.
