To start thinking for yourself, about yourself. Haven't you grown weary of other people's opinions and suggestions on what would be best for you and your life. Folks are quick to give you direction on what would be best for you and which choice you should make, but when was the last time you made the choice for yourself. We go from living under the influence and instruction of our parents, and school teachers and employers and seem to often continue to flow in the pattern of waiting to do what we do until someone tells us to. Unfortunately we even allow this to happen in church at times....Stand up, Sit-down, talk to a friend, tell a neighbor, turn around, join this group, sing this loud, sit-down, run around, slap them high-five, say amen, say it louder, say it again, even louder, praise, worship, be quiet, give, play, preach, go home, and on and on and on.....I just wonder are you doing any of that at any time because it's in your heart, mind and soul or because you're being told to. Don't get me wrong, much of it is good to do, but isn't it just time that you started living in "Passion" instead of Passivity and "Relationship" as oppose to Religion. You're more than a warm body, or oxygen sucker, you are a living, destined, precious, wonderfully made, purpose filled creation of the almighty God and it's a great time right now for you to be and live out what you were specifically designed to be!

You've been trying and trying over and over again to get it right. No one really plans to get it wrong or make a mess of things this many times, and neither did you. You are sincere in your endeavor and in your heart of hearts you want to make it right. Check your pulse, is there a heart beat, place your hand in from of your mouth...Are you breathing? can you hear yourself reading this aloud?..., and are you able to blink the eyes you've been using to read this message? If so, one thing we both know is that you are not finished, and definitely not defeated. take a deep breath and get ready to ....WAIT! you thought I was gonna say get back in there huh...lol... Naw, we learn from our mistakes...it;'s ime now to devote some time to prayer and reading God's word and seeking his will...when's the last time you went on a fast...try one today even if it;s a short one...we gotta get ourselves in a place where we can hear God's voice and not the carnal foolishness we've been receiving lately. So here is the plan...start on your knees and open up your heart...and let the Lord lead you before you move. He will speak...we just need to hear.

So I was out today and I saw a woman with a t-shirt on that had the scriptural passage on it about how Jesus said that when whatever we do to the least it’s as if we had done it unto them…I’m sure you can recall…Well at any rate…as I walked out of the store…that thing really began to speak to me and in clear terms….It was as if the Lord was opening my eyes a little more to the fact that are refusal to feed, visit, and take care of those who are in need…when we have the resource, is as if we are in refusing to serve the Lord. Our love for Him comes into direct question because He has given us the responsibility of expressing our love for Him thru our loving and caring for those we see everyday. Immediately after each lesson the Lord gives, He is faithful to allow us to demonstrate what we have learned….and sure enough at the next store I had the opportunity to share what I learned and touch a life…Now that was an obvious lesson and test…and a quick victory! I am ready to live it out every day …in many more ways….Thank you Lord for loving me first…now I can love you back as I love my fellow man. I heard the Word!

Living Free....

There are so many outside influences that threaten the freedom and liberty that we have in Christ. It's not so much that they can take us away from His care, or cause our ability to live free to cease, but they can lure us away from His cover. When we are drawn away by our own lusts and enticed, it is possible for us to lose out on the peace and joy that is found in God's presence. Remember, the peace and joy of the Lord never dies or is ever made inaccessible to us. It's just that in order to have it, know it and live in it we must stay close to God. Whatever it is that temps us, and or causes our eyes to be distracted and lose focus must be destroyed in our lives. Your ability to handle temptation for a moment does not prove your ability to endure it for a minute. Refuse to play in that playground because ultimately temptations do not play fair. They are meant to bring eternal harm to you and your life. The pleasures of the flesh are temporal and only masquerade as everlasting joys. The result of these carnal delights can indeed produce eternal results, but joy is nowhere seen in the future. Start now to build walls that separate you from these areas of your life that cause you to give in to sin. It is your life, and eternal destiny that is at stake here. Your soul is not worth it friend. Start to rebuild the walls of spiritual devotional, prayer, fasting, and worship. It is not too late, but it is necessary now. Living free was always God's plan for our lives. Let's be all that He made us to be.

Life can be challenging...but that's the beauty of it too. We live and grow and become what we want to be with the pressures, tests and obstacles all coming along with it. They are strategically placed and positioned to bring us strength and assurance of the Holy one God. It is a sly trick of the enemy to cause us to perceive what is good in our life as something that is not adequate enough for us. It might come in the form of our homes, our jobs, our socio-economic status, our church and possibly our spouse. The trick is to cause us to spend more time contemplating what life would be like if any of these were different...and to spend our time constantly with this thought on our minds. It is consuming and draining yet if not careful will cause us to abort something great believing we are in store for something better. God knows how to bless us better than we can ourselves. He is faithful to provide us with all that we need and give us increase in every area of our lives. He is equally concerned that we learn to be grateful, thankful and content with such things as we have and in what state we are presently in. It is an act of faith and trust when we learn to rejoice and be glad today...and right now.

Lord, thank you for the peace that you bring to my life. This road often finds us experiencing rocks and bumps that appear to be strong enough to flatten our tires of will, confidence and strength. You alone are the soource of my motiviation to reach forth and to continue pressing towards the mark you set forth for me to win. I look at the ground i've covered and recognize that my feet were often not the ones who were walking on that road, but you were carrying me through those seasons. i am not afraid of tommorrow nor am I in fear of what it holds, because you are there and you hold it all in the pal m of your hands. Thank you for the confidence to live and the assurance to trust you more. I'm in Love with loving you!
