A Letter To A Missing Father

Story behind song:

As an artist of real hip hop music. Kayo wanted to touch an audience he felt needed to be reached. Kayo grew up as a young black male who never once met his father. Growing up it hurt him a lot because he never got to experience the love from his father. He had to grow learning the ways of being a man himself. So as he got older all he ever knew was his name(Marcus). Never seen a picture, nor memories only a dream that one day he will get his chance. Still waiting on that day, he found a passion in music which he felt was the best way for him to express himself and release the pain over so many years.

So he wrote "Dear Marcus" which is him portraying to be a stranger, writing a man he never knew and then telling him he is not a stranger. He is your son. He is the little boy you left at birth and caused so much pain/neglect that still sometimes hurt today. So he made the video tell the same exact story of his wish. Illustrating he could have walked right past his father and never known it. He hid his face the entire video because he didn't want those who know him, to realize this is his story till the end. He wanted people to watch the whole video in suspense wondering who is it, that's writing the letter. So we hope you enjoy the message of this video and if you are a fatherless child yourself, we hope this shows that you are not alone. It's more people then just yourself that feels your pain and also can relate.

She feel like, this is something she's good at , and progressing at everyday! In 5 years she can see herself in either, following through with her passion or going with her back-up plan and starting her own business. The thing that made her start writing music was the fact that her uncles, mother, and brothers rapped! So in her mind she looked at it as tradition. When she first got in the studio and recorded her first song was what made her continue to write music. It was a totally different thing between just writing/rapping and recording/rapping. So she stuck with this and each day she is perfecting her craft with music.

We asked Alyssa what is it that she actually does?

Her Response: Well briefly I am an all around entertainer..rapper, dancer, songwriter and singer but 4 years ago I noticed I was a gifted artist in the field of make-up. So because it was realistic for now with my lifestyle I chosen to slowly build my skills for it.

We asked what are some of your accomplishments?

Her Response: In 2011 I was in production for my business by working with clients a few times a month and getting my name out there. In April 2012 I teamed up with a modeling agency called Pure Elegance Talent Agency to help get my skills more noticeable and started a company called TrustOne Mua(MakeUpArtist). Now I have done a fashion show, working on an upcoming photo shoot and have clients lined up in another fashion show soon.

Last we asked where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Her Response: 5 years I would not only want to work traveling around major cities doing makeup, but also start building my record label and have a salon that works with the best make-up artist in Lake County.
