Tegui is the restaurant that was opened in January two thousand and nine by the star chef German Maertitegui. This place has a completely different approach to the restaurant culture. The façade is covered in graffiti and there are tiny letters on the security door. Even though this restaurant may not look much from outside its shabby door, the inside is just more than worth it.

German wanted the Tegui to not be on the radar. His idea is that people need to be hidden. The hotel has no advertising and it relies heavily on the word of mouth.

The menu is quite minimalist, just like the interiors. There are only five choices for the starters and the entrees. Although, these dishes are changed every week. The food is cook in elegant Mediterranean style and the chef specializes in sea food.

For starters you have dishes like the seared Red tuna in Almond sauce and garnished with raspberries and sprouts. The oysters are topped with trout roe and green apples. All these display and complex mix of flavors and style which is savory, sweet and rich in different textures.

The entrees are generallly made to take the whole Argentinean food experience to another level. One of the most famous dishes here is the Veal tender loin which is served with potatoes and Chimichuri, which is further layered with egg and Brazilian flour. The shrimp ravioli is just off the hook and is covered with tangy foam that is scallop based and mango chunks.

The banana split here is wonderful. It is filled with coconut ice cream and flakes of gingerbread. The cream is infused with cognac. These are just some of the things that make this restaurant such a remarkable experience.

The kitchen is made up of brightly lit steel and glass black spaces, which is on the end side of an Ebony and cream dining area. The staff here has paid close attention to the expressions on the faces of their customers while they bring them their food. The patrons wait in anticipation as their meals are prepared; and the whole scene becomes quite theatrical.

There is a tiny outdoor space which looks into the tiny patio on the interior of the restaurant which is filled with banana trees. You will find many restaurant patrons having their occasional smoke amidst the many banana trees.

The Tegui is located in Buenos Aires and you can reach them at 5411 5291 3333. These courses come without any beverages. It would be a good idea to book a reservation first.

Heaven and Earth consist of more things than those just dreamt of in man’s philosophy. There are some questions that keep arising in human minds regarding life after death. Religion and science can explain some of these queries, but some still believe the paranormal occurring. This statement can be justified by the example of people fearing to enter graveyards after dark, don’t they? Don’t you? Well, if you really don’t, then you are one of the chosen ones who are interested in having a ghostly exchange and there’s no better place than some sited locations that scream the paranormal happenings in them. Paranormal Experts are always there to look after you, when you choose to give such, differently adventurous outings, a try.

The early 20th century happened to witness the somewhat paranormal happening in Venezuela, in an area around the Columbian borders with Venezuela. A Swiss Geologist, Francis de Loys, and his team of explorers happened to oil prospect in this particular area when two huge monkeys attacked them. The monkeys were screeching, standing upright, shaking bushes and they threw their excrements at de Loys and the men. The group was surprised and they started firing at the monkeys with shotguns and it killed one of them. As the body of the dead monkey was so unusual and such a huge monkey hadn’t ever been seen before, de Loys and the explorers chose to preserve the corpse of the creature. But what was discovered later on, by a zoologist, was just a picture and he convinced de Loys that this creature could give them a hold on the missing link between apes and humans.

The picture showed an image of a tailless creature, tall with a small face and and a head similar to that of a spider monkey. Its nose was flat as its forehead and teeth were human like. The arms and toes of the creature were long like an ape’s. The zoologist tried to support his reasoning with evidence and had questioned the natives of that region. But the help that came out was only to further create differences between the ones who supported and the ones who doubted. The ape of this mystery gradually came to be called “de Loys’ Ape”. There were two other species of giant monkeys which were reported in South America. One of them is described as the Giant Baboon, correspondence of which is received by the prominent and authentic evidence, given by the fossils. The other of the two reported species is the Giant Spider Monkey. Its description fits into the frame of that of de Loys’ Ape and is co-incidentally still unproven. In 1987, the mono grande was re-sighted and it was the most recent time it was seen – an ape, 5 foot tall, with two legs to walk and black short hair. It was observed in Guyana.

The question is that does the missing link between apes and humans even exist? And if yes, does it still survive in South America? These questions are yet to be resolved. So, those interested in this kind of semi-paranormal adventure, can choose to trip to South America’s “de Loys’ Ape”, at Venezuela.

South America is well known for its beaches, calming along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. But, the way it’s said that sometimes the large may go unnoticed, many eyes of the world go green to consider South America’s largest part that covers most of its central countries. Amazon rainforests, popularly known as Amazonia, is the world’s largest natural resource remaining till day. It represents 54% of all the area dedicated to rainforests on Earth. This large piece is described as the “Lungs of our Planet” since it is responsible for continuous conversion of carbon-dioxide to oxygen. Thus, 20% of the earth’s oxygen is produced by Amazonia.

The Amazon forests derive the name from the Amazon River, which is considered as life force driving the rainforests. Starting in the laps of Peru, this river flows for more than 4,000 miles, discharging its waters in the Atlantic Ocean, near Brazil. These forests cover an area of about 2.5 million square miles, shadowing up to nine South American countries: Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname, or two thirds of the South America continent. If you plan to pay your next adventure visit to SA, this article helps you to get well revised with some of the facts of the Amazon rainforests. Some facts are already described above, now its time for some more.

The birds from the Amazon rainforests account for about one third of the world’s entire collection of bird species, Toucan being the most popular icon – they are found all through Central America to East Argentina, but reach the Amazonia in highest number and diversity in terms of species.

The world’s estimated number of plant, animal and insect species is approximately ten million. More than half of this whole population is gifted to the Amazon rainforesets.

There are many plants that have anticancer properties, extracts of which are used to cure cancer patients. About 70% of these plants are found in this rainforest.

Also, there are edible fruits found in Amazonia, and the number is about 3,000. The natives of Amazon consume 1,500 of these edibles, but for cultivation only 200 are used and this act is based on various logics and factors.

Amazon natives use the plants from Amazon rainforests for various purposes like food and medicine. But over 85-90% of these plants have not yet been put to research study and experiments by modern science.

The initial population by the banks of Amazon, in 1500, was as huge as 6-9 million Amazon natives. By 1900, this reduced to one and a half million. And according to the current estimates made, it is the number 2,50,000 of Amazon natives. This population comprises of 215 ethnic groups with 170 different languages.

Going to the depths of Amazon rainforests, there may be found about 50 Amazon tribes that have not yet had any contact with the world outside theirs.

The adversity of increasing world population hasn’t left the Amazons untouched with harm. About 2,700 million acres of the rainforests are burned every year to accommodate facilities for deforestation.

The sun, the sand, the waters and a song – Brazil is the country of fun, the first, and second, the beaches. There are many beaches along the coast of Brazil. And, not just that – it scenes a wide variety of beaches. Some beaches are the smiling curves near the cities in the map, while some others are far away in the quiet, remote areas, away from the noise of the screaming town. Porto da Barra is one such beach in Brazil to which you can make a perfect escape in the middle of busy city life. It is one of the world’s famous city beaches in Salvador that comes under the state of Bahia, Brazil. Salvador is literally and actually surrounded by beaches, but this particular beach is one of its kind. The waters here soothe the eyes and the mind. Quiet and calm blue-green waters, giving an incredibly clear, prismatic look through ocean – it seems a true oasis. And the best part of it – it’s all well within your reach. You can visit this beach, while being in you hometown. Just a few hops of traveling and you’re there.

Being a city beach, Porto da Barra is visited by local people, in huge numbers, every weekend. The beach is in a bay, and so, the water is calm, crystal clear and clean. As the waters are shallow near the coast, it’s just perfect for swimming. This beach also serves as a destination for artists and musicians – painters capturing the beautiful scenes in their drawings, poets admiring the beauty of the beach in their words and musicians playing and singing music, as serene as the beach waters. In a short word with a big meaning – it’s a mini heaven. Naturally, with all these features, Porto da Barra is a first and favorite choice for the visitors. It’s quite crowded on the weekends. It is not only a place for relaxing for them after a long week of work and stress, but also a chance to hang out with family and friends, and socialize.

Apart from being liked for its salient beach features, Porto da Barra is also famous for being Bahia’s first site of European settlement. They called it the Vila Velha, which means “Old Village”. It used to be a hangout place for artists like Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, and this tradition of continues till day. Like other beaches in Salvador, Porto da Barra also has barracas, or bahacas, where you can buy beverages like beer and other drinks of your choice.

This beach not only attracts the people residing in the nearby city, but also invites visitors from far away. Since the history of this beach shows signs of European settlement, people from all over the Europe come to visit it. You can look out for hotels and resorts near the beach itself, so you get to enjoy the calm life your doorsteps, though for a while. You can choose boarding places that suit your choice, comfort, and budget. There are hotels that provide a good value for good money, or you can have a budget-suited accommodation. Whatever is it, but the main thing is you shouldn’t miss the majestic time that you can spend on this beach.

Gran Roque is a tiny settlement which is located in Los Roques national park which is located in Venezuela. This large archipelago made of corollas and mangroves lies about one hundred miles away from the Caribbean Sea.

This is a nice hotel that is located in the middle of the village here. And the view from here stretches all the way till you go out of focus. The blackened sea rises above the sandy hill and it quite steep and far from all the other lands.

Los Roques is famous for fishing. The park that that surrounds Gran roque has many flats on which bonefish swim, here you could go on a Tarpon Lol or even a Barracuda hunt. The flight that from Caracas lasts for about forty minutes. This is also the capital of the nation. This place has one of the many great salt water fly fishing grounds that are here on earth. Many other have flown here to fly kites and their surfboards, as this place has strong winds and beautiful beaches. And this place is also a very prominent destination for wind and water sports.

There are many other activities here like snorkeling in the clear waters with different colored coral heads. Some people also come here to just lie on the white sandy beaches in the blazing sun. You could also just watch birds, and sailboats sails which sit down with your giant jug of beer.

The island has many small hotels which are small in size but these have open living area which has large couches and ceiling fans. There are also coffee tables here where people just come to read and even take a short nap.

Los Roques is home to the resident bonefishes which cruise across the shoreline around skiffs and workboats.

This is a nice way to enjoy the pleasure of Los Roques without it being expensive.

This place has some of the best fly fishing sites in the world. Some of the fishing trips here exceed ten hours during a day and there is endless walking and looking over far distances all in a calm silence. There are mudding fish on the flat water and you can see the barracudas fighting with jacks in the water. The shorelines are completely untouched and the fish tailings have been marked well above sand and mal. You will get a variety of shrimp and crab.

You could pass many days just eating fish and enjoying yourself under the beautiful sunlight.

Mohedano has a restaurant that is the brainchild of Edgar Leal and his wife Mariana Montero de Castro. These Venezuelans have restaurants even in the United States. These people have been responsible for bringing in large business to this part of the land especially in the hotel industry. The new business here has large and airy building that is set back from the streets and appear first to be a parch n then a big nice building with a big outdoor space, a dining room bar and of course the acclaimed kitchen.

For dinner you could have some good Venezuelan cooking which are made for kings and queens which is also accompanied by fine Argentinean wine with glasses of rum and scotch. This apparently is one of the Venezuelan specials. Whiskey is used more than rum.

The food concludes elegant chase filled party snacks. This place also has heft Arepas. The corn pancakes here are known as cashapas. This famous dish which is made with corn pancakes which are known as cashapas ad dish that is based on sad Negro. This is mainly caramelized beef that is generally the staple food of the Caraqueno family. This apparently is accompanied by the nationally famous salad of tomatoes, palm, and avocado. All these were followed by the chocolate soufflé. You then get a final glass of rum with the Tonka bean ice cream.

Cusco used to be the center of the world. It was called belly button. The Spanish called it the city of gold; a lot of tourists come here and go to a place called the gateway to the famous Machu Picchu. Cusco is a beautiful place which has adapted itself to the many visitors that come here and make it a point to regularly come to the Machu Picchu as it is rightly considered to be one of the best places to visit on earth.

Lets look at five things that you could do here.

The Spanish took away a lot of Cusco’s wealth for example, the golden cladding which is on the temples and the palaces. They even managed to tear down the great Inca architecture and used it to make buildings of their own.

Although, the architecture is now designed in the colonial fashion, after years of erosion and weathering you can see through the outsides and make out the ancient Inca style and construction.

This place has cobbled streets and huge walls. The terraces are quite prominent and all this is proof of the genius of the Inca architecture and techniques. You will be able to see perfectly cut stones which are of different shapes and sizes. When they are all put together; the somehow fix in such a way that even a piece of paper cannot slip through it.

The local people here speak the Quechua language. They still sell brightly colored handicrafts that are displayed on the streets and the many squares. These people at the end of the day , were descendants of the great Inca architects , so it is quite obvious that the architecture that you would find here would be amazing.

The same style till today is what is on display at the local museums and the ancient ruins.

One the first day

It would be advisable to walk around as doing anything drastic would not work with you maladaptive body. If you feel like you are getting sick because of altitude then try chewing on some coco leaves. This usually helps.

The Plaza de Armas is the first stop for most of the visitors who come to Cusco. This place has some of Cusco’s most fascination buildings made under heavy Spanish influence. There are about four churches. The first one La compania de jesus is famous for having its unique golden alter pieces. These are built on the Inca site of Coricancha.. This was a main site of Inca temple and observatory. Right below the church; there is a museum. This museum has a detailed history of Coricancha. There are unique artifacts and mummies of three people from the ruling families.

This church is right in the center of town. It used to be the center of the empire before. It also used to serve as a local shopping center.

San Blas is just up the hill. . This ia the place where the best bars in town are located. The best thing to visit here is the cedar pulpit which is all carved out of a single piece of wood.

Day two

Head toward Hatunrumiyoc street which is a part of the old town and runs parallel to the great big Inca wall which has the famous twelve angled stone in it.

This wall is a perfect example of the style of Inca architecture. All the stones of all shapes and sized are made to enter into slots with one another in perfect precision.

There are art museums here at the archbishop’s palace. Inside these museums you will find historical paints that show how the Spanish come into the land and integrated themselves as part of this place.

The main area that you come across at this place is the sacsayhuaman, this place is the closed Inca ruin, to the city and lies within the city limits of Cusco.

The most unique attribute about this place are the four hundred metered long and about six meters tall walls. These walls, according to archeologists used to serve as a fortification and are supposed to be looked at from above. Here you can almost trace an outline of a pumas head. The construction of the Plaza de Armas is most impressive. There are some of the largest blocks here which weigh more than one hundred tonnes each.

One of the many tales of this place is that the Incas built tunnels under the entire empire, identically as they built roads on top. These tunnels apparently went all the way out of Quenko.
