The Avila Adobe , the oldest house in Los Angeles El Pueblo, built in 1818 by Don Francisco Avila. It is located in Olvera Street. The rooms are restored and furnished in period style.

(1963). At the beginning, there is the New York New York (1977 - Martin Scorsese's film) theme overture. Manhatta Beach isn't the new york city beach ! but it is 19 miles southwest of Los Angeles, California. It's a well known place for surf and beach-volley ball, but it's too a place for shopping and there is traffic jam in summer with yellow cabs... like in the other manhattan... (webcams : surfline - watchthewater , history : on wikipedia) Manhattan Beach n'est pas la plage de New York, mais une plage située à 25 km au sud-ouest du centre de Los Angeles, réputée pour ses spots de surf, ses compétitions de beach-volley mais on y trouve aussi des taxis jaunes... et des embouteillage en été.
