At last something new to anticipate from my job. It's only been slightly more than 2 months and I am already feeling bored. I can't wait to get the deal done and rip those Indians off..

Speaking of Indians, I miss roti canai. Don't really want to have too much of those though..

Let's see, it all started with an inquiry, and then specification sheet, estimate, purchase order, invoice, packing list, shipping advice, sea waybill...

now that isn't too hard is it?

By the way, I love Indian jokes..

P/S: About the picture, it has nothing to do with anything I wrote today. Feeling a bit dizzy and without hesitating, I finished it in one go. Don't ever do that you guys!

A picture tells a thousand words. By today I mean yesterday, exactly.

Well I got myself some kerosine(yes, to carry out an arson), watched a few episodes of Chuck(liking it), and finished my power point thing for the mid-term presentation. I guess that's some huge achievements.

So that's it for tonight, bed's calling out my name.

Ed logging out!

It's a long way home..

To drive back alone wasn't as boring as I thought. But this time it's different. As much as I hate writing, I want to.

The time I first ran into Saosin was about less than a year ago. Yes, it can't even come close compared to the time I've known Backstreet Boys(eww). But since then, their influence have been growing fast in me. I love Cove Reber's high pitched voice. I think his voice suits Saosin more than the previous Anthony Green. And don't even mention the drums...Alex is a prodigy! But I dont know how well will they perform live though. I hope they will make another trip to Japan. I was so disappointed with myself for missing their Tour in Japan last year.

Today, I spent almost an hour listening to all of the songs from their latest album. I've always been listening to their songs but today I think they deserve a little bit of my attention and time. My favourite songs are no doubt Voices and You Are Not Alone. The drums and the harmonized vocals can easily make one achieve orgasm (even guys). Of course the guitars are awesome too!

"Those who haven't listen to Saosin have no slightest idea about screamo/alternative rock music"

That's my line for their music~

And the marks of course!

*drum rolls*

*more drum rolls*

tada!

8.2 out of 10

No I don't usually rate above 8. So you see...It's really worth to get their original CD.(Sorry guys, I'll make sure I buy an ori for the next album) To show even more support, I've bought one of their T-shirts online~

And I want more! I mean not just listening to it but also I feel like composing a few pieces. But it's hard to get started, to be really honest. My busy schedule aside, it required pretty much motivation to finally install FL studio in my computer.

Ok, I got FL Studio icon on my desktop now. I can create music directly from my mind and make it visible. FL Studio is that good.

So check it out -> FL Studio

But still, even with all the tools needed to create a music piece, I have to go through all the obstacles like geek jargons and all the difficult-to-understand settings. But this time I am serious so it's just a matter of time before I compose my first music. Man I just can't wait till that moment!!

To start things off I've tweaked my audio settings a little. Instead of Windows DirectSound drivers I'm using the ASIO4ALL, which is a free ASIO(Audio Stream Input Output) driver.

Why?

Good question. According to FL Help,

"ASIO drivers give the better performance in terms of CPU efficiency. ASIO is also a prerequisite for audio recording. "

And that's true. I've tested both of them(ASIO driver and DirectSound). With music playing on the background, I tried to minimize FL Studio to my taskbar. When I set to ASIO4ALL there wasn't any lag but I can hear the lag if I switch to DirectSound. It was obvious.

That's just a simple example of the differences between both drivers. Another thing I like about ASIO4ALL is the buttons to switch between Advanced and Simple mode.

Totally ingenious!

Besides that I'm thinking of getting a better sound card and headphones, despite my terrible financial status..

For more info about ASIO, click here

Fun facts about me?

Yes! I can never get enough of it!

"Inquisitive and energetic, the Sagittarian is the traveler of the zodiac. Everybody knows ipod batteries are well known for having a premature ejaculation. Use it for like a year and you'll know what I mean. It will start to lose its juice of life slowly till the state that a fully charged ipod can only last for a couple of hours. It's actually contradictory, compared to sex. Usually, the more you have sex, the more you'll be able to control your urm...thing. But Ipod batteries are exactly the opposite :(

I know that the fact sucks hard. But still I can't part with my ipod. X-( One of the reasons is cuz I'm so fookin used to the iTunes. I'm too lazy to manage my music library which consists of 30+ G of music data. So I let iTunes do all the job for me. "Download me all da album arts!", "Get all my folders organized!" are the most common orders I give to it. The catch? You are enslaved for the rest of your life!

Well, even if Apple dominates the market of mp3 players, I dont really give a damn. All I care is that I must have music while I'm hitting the slopes, simple as that.

Here are some frequently played tunes while I am screwing up the slopes.

Antisocial - Vatican DC
26 - Shawn Lee(Ping Pong Orchestra)
Don't Cry Out - Shiny Toy Guns
Circuit Breaker - Royksopp
Flag Song - Rock n Roll Soldiers
Penelope - Pinback
Interstellar Love - Paola
Heaven is a Halfpipe - OPM

A sudden invitation

"we enjoy the flower-viewing(HANAMI picnic) of
CHIKYU club sponsorship (on Sunday) on May 13.
we recruit a participant.
11:00 gathering in Goryokaku park back gate neighborhood
Cost bites (1500 yen) lunch
Please apply for it by May 11. deadline
CHIKYU club Shimizu "

I know I'm cruel. It's absolutely one of the most reasonable and durable drum thrones.

It came knocking at my door 2 days before, telling me that I ought to improve my drumming skills, which of course, will become a lot better ;)

Zojirushi PA-WA08

Who doesnt love fresh air when they wake up in the morning? I know I do. Cleaner air means more health and less illness. Sounds great doesnt it? That's why I got myself an air purifier just a couple of days ago. I bought it online at the price of 6772 yen, which is a lot lower than the retail price(21000yen).

I've been doing some searching and trust me it's a hell of a time trying to figure out which brand to go for. Especially when you are living in Japan!! And finally I've decided to take this cubic cutie. I dont think this brand (Zojirushi) exists outside of Japan since I'd never heard of it before. So I doubt you'll have any luck finding it unless in Japan.

It's cute, doesnt take away a lot of space, and the coolest thing is that it has a light sensor which automatically switches to silent mode when there isnt any light. That means you wont be bothered by the noise when you turn off the lights and go to bed. Besides that, it deodorizes, gets hold of dead ticks and kills off germs and bacteria. Save trapping dust and pollen in the air.

My room feels a lot better even though I've used it for not more than 48 hrs. Maybe I'm just imagining things..But even if I do, its a small price to pay for.
