Rosemary Beach Rentals

Watercolor Rentals also makes sense from an architectural and community feel standpoint.  The homes in Watercolor have a classic, Southern architectural feel to them with use of natural landscape accentuated.  Watercolor has received the Award of Excellence from the Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit education and research institute with focus on the use of land in order to enhance the total environment.

The Inn at Crystal Beach Rentals also feature a 24 hour front desk, a fitness center and covered parking.  The lobby is perhaps the most inviting of all the condominium projects in the Destin area with an incredible gulf view when you enter the complex. 

Perhaps the biggest draw for the Inn at Crystal Beach Rentals – aside from the beautiful rooms themselves – is Destin’s famous Beachwalk Cafe which is located on the bottom floor of the Inn at Crystal Beach.  Celebrity Chef Tim Creehan’s signature restaurant is arguably the best restaurant on the Emerald Coast.  Savvy vacationers who chose one of The Inn at Crystal Beach Rentals know that the food and wine for both lunch and dinner compare with any restaurant anywhere along the Gulf of Mexico.  The outside dining is as good as it gets in Destin.

I had mentioned that Caribe was a unique gated community with its neighbor across the street being Sandestin.  Sandestin is actually also on the same side of the street as Caribe making the Caribe Rentals even more appealing.  We often walk down from Caribe to the outdoor cafe at the Sandestin Hilton for a wonderful lunch or glass of wine at sunset.

If you are in to walking – and we are – another reason Caribe Rentals is very popular is the morning trek that we oftentimes make to the Whale’s Tail for breakfast.  The food isn’t the absolute best in town, but you can’t beat the view.

If you’re just in the mood for some barbecue or some really tasty smoky chicken, then almost directly across from the entrance to Caribe is a cool little barbecue joint.  Just down the road another quarter mile is Jordano’s Pizza which also delivers to the Caribe Rental contingent.

There are also two gas stations or convenience stores about a quarter mile in either direction for the convenience of the Caribe Rental group.  And just beyond the gas station to the east of Caribe are The Market Shops at Sandestin featuring a Starbucks and Beef O’Brady’s – a good place to catch sporting events.  All of this within easy walking or biking distance for Caribe Rentals.

This gated, gulf front subdivision is located directly across from its well known neighbor, Sandestin.  But Caribe Rentals are just as popular as many Sandestin properties because one can stay in a more secluded, private setting – that of Caribe – and still use the amenities of Sandestin.

There are additional reasons that Caribe Rentals are very popular in the Sandestin area.  Two community pools, tennis court, New Orleans style architecture, two deeded beach accesses and wonderful landscaping make Caribe Rentals one of the top rental communities on the Emerald Coast.

The recent announcement that the Seabreeze Jazz Festival is moving from Gulf Place in Walton County to Pier Park in Panama City Beach  will give the Sterling Breeze condo rentals a real shot in the arm.  The visitors who rent Sterling Breeze condos will have a variety of pluses based on their selection. 

Why Sterling Breeze rentals?

The Sterling Breeze rentals should be full for all five days of the Seabreeze Jazz Festival for several reasons.  First, you will be able to walk to Pier Park from Sterling Breeze.  You can walk down the beach or down a sidewalk to be built.

This is not pertinent to the Jazz Festival, but imagine the impact on Sterling Breeze rentals when the new Panama City International Airport is finished in about two years.  What will be pertinent are the tastefully furnished gulf front units (all units directly gulf front). 

For visitors who experience Sterling Breeze rentals for the first time they will be surprised at the unique touches throughout including several flat panel televisions in each unit.  The bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and every unit is completely furnished down to forks and knives. 

There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy with Sterling Breeze rentals (although you could spend some time in their fully equipped gym overlooking the gulf).  First and foremost is the Gulf of Mexico – but you can also enjoy the beautiful infinity edge pool, the overflow whirlpool and a wine and tapas bar (again with flat panel displays) that overlooks the pool.

The Seabreeze Jazz Festival will make Sterling Breeze rentals a tough reservation for five days in the spring, but rentals in Sterling Breeze should be brisk year round particularly once Pier Park is built out – and certainly once the new International Airport is complete.

Owners Ken & Rusty have done a great job in turning this location in to what should be the go to place in the Niceville/Bluewater Bay area.  Melissa is the young lady out front who coordinates the whole thing and does it all efficiently and with an engaging personality.  We started with firecracker shrimp (pictured above in the first paragraph) and the hot crab dip pictured here (click on all pictures to enlarge and then back arrow key to retun to article).

The crab dip tasted of fresh crab, not too much filler and very good toasted pita bread accompanying. The shrimp dish was particularly good and again fresh shrimp, the coating still nice and crispy but not too thick and the sauce provided a really nice creamy, spicy kick.  We paired all this with an Erath Pinot Gris from Oregon that is also available by the glass – an outstanding economically priced wine really good with all the seafood dishes. 

After a very nice house salad with feta cheese, cucumber, tomato, olives and greens we made our way to the main courses.  My guest went with the snow crab which was a generous portion of crab with a butter dipping sauce while Kelly went with the Parmesan Crusted Grouper.  A little dusting of bread crumbs gave the dish a nice crisp crunch blending in the parmesan with the fresh grouper.

I went with the blackened mahi mahi, which turned out to be an excellent choice.  You can choose other methods of preparation (baked, grilled, etc) and side accompaniments as well – I went with the habanero infused olive oil.  You also have a choice of side vegetable, and I opted for the Cajun fries.  The mashed sweet potatoes looked good, but they werenâ€t available for this soft opening.

We decided to go with the Geyser Peak Sauvignon Blanc with our main courses (this was also particularly good with the feta cheese based salad).  This is another good wine that would go well with all Giuseppiâ€s seafood dishes.

I wish we could have arrived before dark, as I wanted to share some pictures of the restaurant and particularly the great views of the water and the boats.  Since I didnâ€t, you should go and send some pictures in for me to post here.  There is a nice separate dining room along with the spacious bar, but no matter where you sit – Giuseppiâ€s Wharf is a very good dining experience on the water in Niceville.  Call 850–678–4229 for directions and/or more info.

There are 83 Rosemary Beach homes for sale in December.  They range from a two bedroom, one bath, 710 square foot carriage home listed for $809,000 to a six bedroom, six and a half bath, 4356 square foot home on Hopetown Lane asking $5.495 million.

Watercolor is getting a good bit of activity as some prices have fallen pretty dramatically.  A further indicator of the activity is that there are currently eight homes pending for sale in Watercolor. 

There are 135 Watercolor homes for sale in December.  These range from a four bedroom, five bath home with 2190 square feet priced at $739,000 to a four bedroom, five bath home, 2538 square foot home fronting the gulf for $4.995 million.
