Youth Aflame 2009!

We began the week at Cramerton FWB Church with 375 registering plus others who are helping with the cooking, counseling, etc. This is our 2nd largest conference ever! Praise the Lord!

Please continue to pray as we have only four more preaching times during this week. There has been a great moving of God with the young people and we desire to see others "live for something, rather than live for nothing."

Dr. Stox's Health

Many of you have heard about the medicine that Dr. Stox was to take would cost over $5,100 a month and that the insurance complany was not going to pay for it. While this was bad news, God had a letter in the mail from the drug manufacturer who decided to give it to him until December. Needless to say, this was a real answer to prayer as he is responing very positively to the treatments. Please continue to pray for him and Mrs. Dolly. (Send them a card if you like or an email at president@sfwbc.edu, today is their anniversary.)

We have just received a message from Dr. Stox's pastor asking us to pray for him (Brother Lorenza) and for Mrs. Stox's father.

Dr. Stox has recently had some health issues that have become steadily more acute. He has been taken to the Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greeville, NC today and is need of our prayers.

Of course, most of you know and have been praying for Mrs. Dolly's physical needs, but you may not know that her father is in very critical condition at the same hospital.

Please take some time now to pray for this family that has meant so much to so many of you.

Please forgive the lateness of this note, but we want to ask you to pray for Mrs. Dolly Stox and her family. Her mother passed away Monday the 15th.

     Mary Parker Harris
     Mary P. Harris Mrs. Mary Parker Harris, 87, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Parker Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Harris a native of Greene County, had lived in Pitt County most of her life. She attended Pactolus High School, and for a number of years worked for Trinity School Daycare School. Mrs. Harris was a member of Parker Free Will Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Edgar Earl Harris; daughters, Jean Teeter and husband, Gordon, of High Point, Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Wainright, of Ayden, Dolly Ann Stox and husband, Lorenza, of Greenville, Gay Sutton and husband, Earl, of Moyock, and Brenda Faye Harris, of Greenville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Burchett, and Dorothy Lightbody, both of Por tsmouth, Va. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

2008 Southeastern FWB College - Update on Jeff Jones 5-27-08

Jeff Jones, pastor of Hilltop FWB Church, was injured in a serious motorcycle accident on Saturday, May 24th. Please join the Southeastern family in praying for his recovering and for grace and strength for his family.

7:45PM 5/26/08

Hello everyone,
Jeff has just got out of surgery and is now in recovery. Hopefully, he will be back in the room around 8:30 to 9PM. The doctor said the surgery went well. They operated on his right hand. The nerve is in tack and the nerve covering was damaged during the accident. It will take time for the nerve to regenerate itself.
The MRI results on his left side will not be available until tomorrow. Jeff continues to make slow improvements. Please continue to pray for him and the family.
I am asking everyone to please not come to the hospital to visit him yet. The doctor says he needs to rest, and he needs to sleep. He does wake up for a few minutes at the time. He knows he is in the hospital, but he does not remember what happened. He recognizes everyone that he sees, but he just does not remember who he is talking to because of the medication. Every one of you knows him well and if you come up to visit he is going to try to talk to each one of you. He loves each and every one of you. Hopefully, he will be able to have regular visits by the end of the week.
I will have another update for everyone sometime tomorrow morning. It looks like he is going to be here a little while. I know he is going to be excited to see each and everyone of you.

Good morning everyone,
I wanted to give everyone a quick update on Jeff. He rested fairly good last night. He woke up several times last night complaining that he was not very comfortable lying in bed. He even had his little smart remark about already being tired of being in the hospital. He is also still complaining a lot about his left shoulder and arm. As I mentioned last night they did perform surgery on his right hand and the surgery went well.
The doctors have just come in and updated me on his condition. They are pleased with his progress so far. They do not plan to do anymore surgeries so they are going to try to start him on some light foods later on this morning. The doctors have looked at his MRI and they think as of now the issue with his left arm and shoulder are due to the swelling of his nerve endings that control his muscles on his left side. They think for right now they are going to wait to see how the nerves recover by themselves. The doctors are also going to let the specialist look at the MRI to see if there is anything else that they might have missed on the MRI.
Thanks again for all your prayers and please continue to pray for him. I will try to update everyone later this evening.

2008 Southeastern FWB College Update - News Release - Marc Holloman

News Release

Southeastern FWB College is proud to announce that faculty member Marc Holloman has completed his Master of Education degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. The graduation ceremony was held on May 3, 2008 in conjunction with the underclassmen and other graduate recipients.

Mr. Holloman currently teaches in the Education department and has been at the college since 2001. He is an alumnus of Southeastern FWB College and is married to the former Judy Snipes. They reside in Princeton, NC with their two daughters Ariel and Carissa and attend Faith FWB Church in Goldsboro, NC. Congratulations may be sent to mholloman@sfwbc.edu .

Margie Marie Reel Paramore

KINSTON -- Margie Marie Reel Paramore, 79, of Kinston went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 14, 2008.

Mrs. Paramore was born December 24, 1928 to the late Laurie and Eula Roach Reel, and was for years the bookkeeper for the family business, Paramore Cleaners. She was a faithful member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church where her husband pastored for many years. An accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed sewing for her family, making many of the clothes they wore.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. David Paramore of the home; daughter, Margo Marie Rivero and husband Manny of Kinston; sons, Dr. Mike Edward Paramore and wife Joan of Raleigh and Dr. Dwight David Paramore and wife Laurie of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Christin and Jackie Fingleton, Michael Paramore, Jr., David Paramore, Luke Paramore, Joseph Paramore, Manuel Rivero and Connor Rivero; sisters, Miriam Pleasant and Becky McGowan and husband David, all of Greenville, Lois Gray and husband Roy of Black Jack; brother, Elton Reel and wife Louise of Greenville; sister-in-law, Hazel Reel of Greenville.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with Reverends Archie Ratliff and Dann Patrick officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Christian Academy, 1936 Banks School Road, Kinston, NC 28504.
