Vicki Taufer and her husband Jed started V Gallery in the cramped basement of their house in 1999.  With a focus on artistic portraiture, their business has evolved into a 7,000 square foot storefront.  Vicki attributes a large portion of their success to the high profile image she and Jed have created for their portrait gallery. Vicki has won numerous awards for her photography and unique marketing ideas, including a WPPI Grand Award in the portrait category and the highest scoring print at the Orvieto Fotografia event in Italy in 2005.

The key to a successful children’s business is to offer custom products that your client cannot get at the studio down the street.  From design work to photographing and pricing, learn how to take your ordinary product and create custom "boutique" art pieces for those upscale clients. Everyone is selling 8x10's...so why not sell custom wall art and create a demand for something a cut above?

Julie Klaasmeyer started her photography business in 2001 in Paola, Kansas. Though the photography business has increased rapidly, she has seen an even larger gain in the sales of templates available on a website she set up specifically for that part of the business called Design Revolution. She builds her career around a busy home life that involves a helpful husband, Dale, and their four children, ages 2 to 16.

Come see Heather photograph a newborn baby and hear how she took her boutique studio through the first choppy waters of the economic downturn and has come out on the other side, already, with a stronger business than ever.

 
Heather Bookout specializes in photographing babies, children and maternity. She lives with her husband, Ben, and 2 daughters in Huntsville, Alabama.  Ben and Heather host their own photography workshops called The RIPE Conference.  Heather desires to inspire other photographers and to instill the confidence in them that they are "RIPE" and ready to become the artists that God called them to be.
