[Boy Party] Skateboard Birthday Party!

I love today's skateboarding themed boy's birthday party! It was sent to me by Michelle of Cakewalk and she did such a great job producing a dessert table with very creative skateboard themed desserts. Michelle threw the birthday party for her son's 7th birthday. She wanted it to be fun and reflect real skateboard culture, so she went with the classic black and white checkerboard and added a skateboard graphic -- and incorporated his favorite color blue! The dessert table featured a birthday cake that looked like a Vans hat sitting atop an edible skateboard (LOVE IT!), plus skateboard wheel donuts, hat and skateboard sugar cookies and mini cupcakes. And what's most impressive is that Michelle did all the desserts, printable design, styling and photography herself. More photos after the jump!

[Boy Party] Milk and Cookies Birthday Party!

I have two cookie monsters in my house: my husband and my two year old son. So I have been thinking of doing a milk and cookies dessert table for a while now. Then, magically, this milk and cookies themed party arrived in my mailbox as great boy birthday party inspiration! It was thrown by Kathyrn of the blog The Dragon's Fairy Tail for her son's birthday. [Boy Bash] Vintage Train Birthday Dessert Table

Every Tuesday till early September we're going to be featuring a budget themed dessert table or tablescape as part of our Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge. Every participant gets the Spaceships and Laser Beams Collection of their choice + $50 for a dessert table or $20 for a tablescape. They can also use anything they are able beg or borrow or make themselves. We said that from time to time it was only fair that we'd also throw our own hat in the ring. A $50 budget is hard!!! [Boy Bash] Vintage Fishing Birthday Tablescape!

Every Tuesday till early September we're going to be featuring a budget themed dessert table or tablescape from the talented women who have graciously volunteered to take on our Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge. And we're even going to throw our own work into the ring from time to time and follow the same budget confines. Every participant gets the Spaceships and Laser Beams Collection of their choice + $50 for a dessert table or $20 for a tablescape. They can also use anything they are able beg or borrow or make themselves.

Tuesday is seriously the best day of the week around here as I LOVE featuring all the fabulous Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge submissions. Today's is a gorgeous vintage fishing birthday party tablescape from Jenny of Crossing the Bugger-Dixon Line. If you follow Jenny's work, you already know that she has boatloads of creativity. And her vintage fishing tablescape, which features Janelle's collection, doesn't disappoint. The paper lanterns sprayed to represent bobbers, the "catch of the day" on the back of the chairs (which is actually the fish from our guest book) and the tackle box for favors are amazing DIY projects. [Boy Party] Superhero Birthday Party

I love it when great party submissions arrive in our email box. And today's boy birthday party is the perfect example. It's a Superhero Snack Time Birthday Party thrown by Julie of the blog A Reason to Get Together. She held it in honor of her son's fifth birthday. From the grey and green color scheme to the huge 5 cut out of a televison box (note to self for Sam's third birthday!!!) to the awesome capes/masks for the kids, there are so many super fun ideas. [Cool Customers] Dirt Bike Birthday Party in SoCal!

So awesome to be back today with another great dirt bike themed party. This one was thrown by our customer Jennifer of OC Weddings and Events to celebrate her son's third birthday. She used Jolene's motocross birthday party printables and created this fun dessert table. I'm especially loving the 1st place pedestal that she created for the cake. I'm going to be working on a racecar themed dessert table in the next few months and I think it's a fabulous idea to steal. :-)

[Cool Customers] Bug Birthday Party in NSW!

I'm thrilled to be able to feature a customer party today. This one was sent to me by Julie of My LIttle Mod. She incorporated items from our Bug Bash Collection, which was designed by Andrew, into her son Fintan's insect themed fourth birthday party. She made everything herself included the cake, cupcakes -- and the stand they were on. Julie actually had a fantastic budget saving way to make the stand: I made my own cake stand with three sizes of cake boards and dummy cakes in-between wrapped with crepe paper. The shop bought cake stands were more than twice the price for the very same thing!! Awesome idea that I am actually going to keep "on file."

It's Tuesday! And this week's Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge feature is a little special because it is actually a real party! Dorangela of Two Prince Bakery Theater hosted this vintage racecar themed birthday party for her son Victor Andrew's seventh birthday. Using the collection that Janelle designed as her basis, she created a party that her son loved -- and, most impressively, an entirely gluten free casein free and soy free dessert table with our Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge shoestring budget. If you have ever tried to bake with premium ingredients you will know just how much of a feat that is!

[Boy Party] Fireman Themed Birthday Party!

I am completely into finding fire truck party inspiration as it's the theme of Sam's third birthday this summer (using our new firefighting collection, which was designed by Andrew. So I was thrilled when Kati of the blog It's All About Ty & Ashlee submitted this firefighter themed birthday party. She threw it to celebrate her son's fifth birthday. The event started at a local fire station where the kids learned about fire safety from a real firefighter. Then it was off to Kati's backyard for cake and ice cream. [Cool Customers] Dirt Bike Party in Brazil!

Amazing. That's all I can sa about the photos. They're of a dirt bike themed party that was thrown by Dayna, a fabulous customer from Brazil, for her son's second birthday. The incorporation of the bikes is simply spectacular. I am also loving the tone on tone of the kraft paper and the twine used on the dessert table.
