2bitHACK's Bootlegged Banksy "Smiley Copper" Action Figure!

The ridiculously funny 2bitHACK has sent along this pic of his newest creation: the Bootlegged Banksy action figure. Based on the UK street artist's "Smiley Copper" design, this appears to be a standard 3.75" action figure cast in resin and hand-painted. Shown is the prototype, but I know that 2bitHACK has been trying to track down bubble packaging… so I feel it's safe to assume he's planning on printing the backing board and mounting the piece for true parody perfection. We will, of course, keep you updated on this piece.

The always creatively impressive UK street artist Eyesaw has just released the "MICKEY MOU$E BANK$Y" limited edition screen print, which is alternatively known as "This Is Not An Original Banksy, It's A Mickey Mouse Banksy." This mash-up of the iconic Banksy creation "Flower Thrower" and Disney's round-eared mascot was accomplished by doing a one-color screen print in black and then hand-finishing the flower details. Made in an edition of only 30 copies, this roughly 19.5" squared print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is currently available in Eyesaw's web shop for £60 (approx. $95).

64 Colors's pipe smoking custom Foomi is adorable!

Do the duo of 64 Colors ever sleep? Hot after our announcing a wooden Gumdrop run (which can be seen in the background of this pic even), we get this amazing image of a custom Foomi. His acorn hat is too much for me to handle, but the perfection of his argyle trousers complete with their frowny face buttons is what truly floors me. The pipe even appears to have a coiled white cleaner coming out of it, emulating smoke… absolutely brilliant.

Entitled "Rider Of The Great Fire Dragon," this is indeed a custom 7-inch Munny. Or, more precisely, a custom Munny head with a custom 3" Dunny rider and custom zipper pull lure. Canadian artist Sean Viloria did an outstanding job with this piece, which he's submitted into the 2012 Munnyworld contest.

Task One's custom "Dexter" Munny for Plastic Chapel's "As Seen On TV" show!

Continuing the teasers for the previously announced upcoming Task One solo show "As Seen On TV," we have a custom Munny made to resemble Michael C. Hall's character Dexter Morgan from Dexter. Task One continues to do an outstanding job of converting the plain white Munny form into something truly special for television fanatics… not only does he nail Dexter's sly & knowing face but adds all the tell-tale markings of the character's nightly persona: the blood-splattered apron, freshly used knife (I'd imagine the proper scalpel would've been too hard to craft from scratch), and the body filled garbage bag. Brilliant job.

Squink's "Trust Me" Custom Munny evolves his 2011 Dunny form…

At this point, I think most people are familiar with Squink!'s "Ken the Mysterious Tigrrr" from the 2011 Dunny series (and, if not, then you can view an amazing 8-inch custom version HERE). But now he's evolved the form even further, creating this one-off custom 7" Trikky entitled "Trust Me." Per usual, amazingly clean acrylic paints on the vinyl platform and I love how it states "Trust Me" directly above the zipper detail, which obviously implies that something is hidden underneath. This fantastic custom will be available in Squink!'s web shop today at 12 Noon PST for £149.95 (approx. $235).

Chris Brett shares a nice teaser picture for his "They Came From The Street 2" custom Munny. And yes, we're told this is a custom 7" Munny even though we can see Dunny ears… so now I'm wondering, if you cut the top off of an 8" Dunny would it fit perfectly like a cap on a 7" Munny? Intriguing… And I love the tantalizing element of a spatula. What could this be? *** UPDATE *** Or perhaps it's just that Dunny Ears Hat accessory that I always forget about because people don't use them often enough. Silly me.

Racecar 13's "1099'd-Studio Daze" art show at Hold Up Art in LA!

Pause Designs's custom Deep Sea Diver Chuckboy Dunny!

The ever-inventive trio of Pause Designs are taking the best line from Jaws to the next level; "I think we're gonna need a bigger boat" has mutated and re-manifested as a wonderful custom entitled "I think we're going to need a bigger net." Using a 3" Chuckboy Dunny as the basis, a radical amount of sculpting, sewing and painting has transformed him into a deep sea diver, complete with opening helmet frontispiece. The fish and castle were sculpted from scratch out of clay and the diving pump was hand-crafted out of primarily wood. For added effect, the scenario can be displayed inside the fishbowl (as seen above) or outside of it (as seen below).

I love the tongue-in-cheek humor of this scene, especially considering how tiny the net accessory is. All the little pieces look spot on, making the whole absolutely perfect. This was a commission piece, so some lucky collector out there already has claim on it… but you can always contact Eric of Pause Designs about commissioning your a piece of your very own.

Urban Decay 3 announced featuring Kathie Olivas, Travis Lampe, DrilOne, JC Rivera & Rsinart!

As we previously mentioned when we reviewed some of DrilOne's canvas pieces, the opening of Urban Decay 3 is rapidly approaching. Focused on aesthetics of street and urban art culture as well as many emerging contemporary artistic sensibilities, everything from graffiti works to custom designer toys to prints will be on exhibition. There will be 31 artists represented as well as live demonstrations, raffles, and music. The whole shebang kicks off with a special RSVP First Friday pre-event at 7PM: Gregg Deal, HKS181, and Asad ULTRA Walker will be discussing their work and then showcasing their talents live as they paint two 8' x 8' walls that will be raffled off at the opening reception the following night. The festivities truly begin on June 2nd from 5PM to 6PM as James Walker, RSIN, Kenny Brown, and Gabriel Pons hold a special panel discussion which will lead into a live artist demonstrations and other events as the night progresses.

"Urban Decay 3" opens on June 1st with an opening reception on the 2nd from 5-11PM. The exhibit closes on June 24 and can be viewed until then at Workhouse Arts Center, 9601 Ox Road, Lorton, VA 22079.

Cris Rose x Lunabee's French-themed Ruckuses custom robots!

A pair of resin robots were crafted & casted Cris Rose and hand-painted by Lunabee, who them sculpted the breads & cheeses which Rose painted. This duo of Ruckuses have been given a French theme because the artsits behind them wish to take a vacation to France. Makes perfect sense, right? REVEALED Kidrobot Black x Ron English - "America Depress" Art Toy

After the many teaser pictures, speculation, and doubts about the next Kidrobot Black figure, we are seeing the full reveal of the next sculpture in their 'Black' line as pop-artist Ron English brings a new 2D painting to life with his upcoming KR Black art figure titled "America Depress", and according to the site, this massive piece of vinyl will be 12" tall, limited to 200 pieces worldwide, and will carry a $400 price tag! Oh, and just like we assumed, the piece will feature Mickey Mouse "Crucified" on a credit card... just like his OG painting, except we see now that this piece features a black/gold color scheme! Now, I may be swayed because that color-scheme is my alma mater, but I love the color combo!!!

"Pop iconoclast Ron English presents the ultimate black vinyl fetish item – American Depress. A three dimensional depiction of America's Bloated Billionaire Mouse Messiah is crucified upon the mousetrap status symbol of American capitalism: the Black Card. The over-stuffed mouse is splayed on a 12-inch tall sheet of black ABS, embellished with gold printing. So now that we know all of this info, and have seen the figure... what do you think. I initially really dug what I saw, and it appears to be a very massive piece, my only gripe now is the reproduction of the 2D to 3D... the figure itself is much more bulbous that the OG painting (to the left), and I am not sure if I dig that. Also, I think this figure would have been a better fit as a full color figure... imagine that! Mickey pinned to an actual fully embellished green credit card wearing his red shorts... that would be rad. Also, $400 does seem a little steep... but damn that piece is LARGE. This is by far a much more sculptural piece then the rest of the KR Black line-up, and it looks like it will fit in your collection as a pretty epic wall hanging piece. So, what are your thoughts on it now that you have seen the full reveal, I would love to know your thoughts. Oh, and if you are in the NY area, remember that Kidrobot New York will be hosting semi-private event on May 29th, 2012.

'Stegoforest' resin is going into retirement...

In less that 48 hours (Friday night, May 25th) Jesse Narens aka Ghost & Flower will be retiring his cool 'Stegoforest' resin figure. After that, there will only be 2 more places to buy a Stegoforest... 3 mixed part Stegoforests were sent to Rotofugi, and there will be one last custom show at Hip Hop Robot Tattoos in mid-July/August.

The Carmine Vault tour landed BAM in my hood at the Hole Gallery Shop. I was tickled pink whilst awaiting the beautiful Fafi to sign my copy of "The Carmine Vault" If you haven't done so already, read it!!!! It's amazing! The Hole was buzzing, folks drunk on Fafiness, schmoozing and peruzing amidst the pour paintings by Holton Rower. The party continued on at The Standard, I hope it resembled this video directed by the lady herself. PS - Fafi, your batman ring rocked!! BLAM

TADO x 2000AD x Unbox - "JUDGE DEATH" plush

First spotted at London's Toy Fair 2012, Unbox Industries unveiled a new plush figure which was created by UK's own TADO... but it's really not what you think. In 2007 TADO created their unique take on "Judge Death" who by the way is a fictional character of the Judge Dredd universe recounted in the UK comic 2000AD! Well, this awesome looking plush figure is set to drop very soon as it's up in the Unbox online store HERE for just $13 a pop! I remember when this was first announced back in 2008, there were going to be 2 sizes... the one you see above is around 8" tall... but it is rumored that they were going to make a large 20" version... hopefully this is still in the works. More details when this actually drops, so stay tuned!
