We’ve had a lot more rain than normal. But when I run out of food, we still have to go shopping. So my human and I stopped by one of our favorite indie pet shops.

This is actually the last time we’ll be visiting this location. They are moving to a new location in the middle of January. This is a good thing because it will be even closer to us than it is now.

We’re actually very happy for them, because the reason they are moving is because they needed a bigger space! Which I hope means even more cat stuff, and maybe some clothes.

I checked out the cat toys they had but we didn’t get any. I really don’t need more…and the peach kitty has a bunch scattered all over the enclosed patio. The other day my human caught the peach kitty’s sister, on the cam, playing with the Trader Joe’s cat toy. So they don’t need any more toys either.

It was time to check out, so I helped.

I also gave out high fives for treats.

We weren’t in there very long, but it got dark really fast! Probably because it was about to rain again.

It was a crazy year, after all — it began with the L.A. wildfires and ended with my Medieval Cat Advent Calendar series. And lots in between!

Of course the peach kitty played a big part in my year, and you’ll see him several times.

You’ll also see some fashion, good and bad. I couldn’t include too many of my modeling videos, but I think you’ll figure out why I included the ones I did.

Also my Halloween costumes — I just included the worst…and the best!

It’s time for the first outtakes of 2026! And I don’t think they will disappoint!

Maybe I spoke too soon! I have no idea why my human snapped this photo…and I don’t think she does either.

This is better. I mean, at least you can see our faces now, even if we do look completely goofy.

My human was trying really hard not to get her hand in the shot while she adjusted the antlers. And she got her hand in the shot.

And, well, I started with my tongue out and I’m ending this week’s outtakes with my tongue out again! I hope you enjoyed these. Let me know your favorites in the comments.

The holidays are over. My human is getting ready to take down the tree. But there was one thing she forgot about. This festive antler headband!

In fact, she had forgotten about it for at least a year. Or two! She picked it up on a whim at some point and it’s been sitting in my photo studio ever since. It even still had the labeling attached to it. So she took a break from pulling out ornament boxes to have me model it.

As you can see, even though she got the smallest size, it’s still a little big on me. I had a problem keeping the antlers straight.

I really should be wearing something to go with it, like PJs. But it’s too late to put something together now. So this will have to do. There’s also a video, which you can see below.

I had a truly crazy 2025! It was fun, adventuresome, productive…and honestly, kind of dangerous!

In fact, the year started out on a dangerous note, with the Los Angeles wildfires. We were close enough to the Eaton fire to be affected by it. Our electricity went out and we were one freeway width away from an evacuation zone. So my human and I escaped to her boyfriend’s little ranch in the Antelope Valley for a few days. In the middle of checking the fire’s path and seeing if the electricity was back on, she did a photo session with me to try to keep things at least semi normal.

Of course, we worried about the peach kitty and his family the whole time we were gone. He showed up when we got back, as did the others, but as you can see from this photo, our backyard was a mess.

In March, I turned eleven! And I had a little birthday party and shared kitty cake with the peach kitty.

I had quite a few cat shows in 2025, but one of my favorites was in April in Norco, where I had never been before.

I also had a TV appearance! Can you see me in the back in the frame? Our friends were pitching the frames on Shark Tank and they asked me to be part of it. I hope my next TV appearance is a little more focused on me!

My therapy visits went well, but they weren’t without stress and possibly danger. The big hospital we visit is in a heavily Latin area of town, and our city was one of the first to be invaded by ICE. Although my human was born here (as were her parents) and she is a citizen, she looks Latin (because she is). And she was so frightened of being racially profiled and taken away while on a therapy visit with me!

This wasn’t an idle fear. A lot of times they don’t check ID, and once they took a woman, a US citizen like my human, who happened to look a lot like her. My human had a couple apps to show her where ICE was, and one time they showed up at the hospital shortly before we got there! She wasn’t sure if we should even do the visit, but a hospital employee showed up and escorted her inside.

It would be easy for my human to stay home and stop doing visits until things calmed down, but instead we’ve continued to visit all the same facilities we always go to. Because it’s more important to be helpful, and if someone has to be in the hospital, they have more stress than my human does and they need me.

June was a lot of fun! I had a variety show for Cat World Domination Day. If you haven’t seen it, you should…and it’s worth watching again!

I also went to Vancouver, BC! The humans had business there, and of course I came along. It was my third trip to Vancouver, but I hadn’t been there since 2017.

I worked with a few brands during 2025, and one UGC video for TikTok needed shots of me being a show cat. (The video was a take on Taylor Swift’s album.) So my human went crazy dressing up my benching area.

In November, I got to visit San Francisco with my human and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend’s movie that he directed was having a big screening, which is why we went. We stayed in the most amazing Victorian bed and breakfast, and my human made sure to do a photo session with me in the room.

So that was my crazy 2025! And it was wild until the end…after so many stalls and disappointments with my YouTube channel, on the very last day, I hit 10,000 followers! Now if I can only get monetized. I guess that’s one of my 2026 goals, right?

If you are wondering why I’ve had no holiday visits with the peach kitty, it’s because of all the rain! It rained through Christmas, and it will be raining again for New Year’s. But at least there was a pause between storms so we could hang out. As soon as it stopped raining, he came over to the leaded glass doors looking for me. It’s still pretty cold out, even if it’s not wet, so I wore one of the sweaters hand knitted for me by a Finnish Instagram follower.

He quickly came into the enclosed patio and say hello.

He continued his PDAs outside…and well, you can see I was a little annoyed by his shameless display.

Eventually it was time for treats! This is how my human gives the peach kitty his treats when I’m trying too hard to steal them.

She also took some time to shoot a few portraits. Here’s one of mine.

She had to use the zoom function on her phone camera to get photos of the peach kitty.

All too soon I had to go back inside. It will be rainy most of the next week! The peach kitty and his family have places to go to stay dry, but my human also leaves the enclosed patio door open most of the time so they can have shelter there too. She’s seen him and his mom taking advantage of that. So maybe they will this time also.

I had one more therapy cat visit scheduled for 2025. For this one, my human and I picked the children’s hospital. We thought it would be a good place to end the year.

We started right away in the elevator, which we shared with a dad and his little girl. My human asked if they were going to rehab or surgery, and it turned out the girl’s brother was in post op. We were headed for surgery too.

The surgery section had lots of pre and post op patients! So I had quite a bit of work up there. Not always with the kids. The first little girl didn’t really want to see me, but her mom sure did! I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to spend time with the parents. You can imagine how stressed out they are when their kids are injured or unwell. Especially on surgery days.

We also saw a baby who was honestly a little oblivious to me, although he sure liked the teddy bear the nurse showed him. The teenage girl in another room was more interested and asked lots of polite questions about me and my work.

As we were finishing up, we saw the dad and his daughter again. His son was still sedated, so the little girl spent time petting me. And I thought the dad needed some attention too so I gave his leg a headbutt.

It was busy in the lobby area and exam rooms too. I paused to show off my bell ringing trick to a couple of kids in the lobby before visiting patients in the rooms.

I had all sorts of kids to see. One baby, not much older than the one in surgery, showed a lot of interest in me. So his mom encouraged him to pet me. It’s always good to have the young kids pet me, since it’s a learning experience for them in so many ways.

I also saw a little boy who fussed about having to take off his sweatshirt (his mom’s husband was more interested in me than he was!), and we finished off with a teen girl.

The hospital scheduled the girl to have surgery on her leg in a few days. So she and her mom were getting instructions about pre and post op care from the staff. It was a lot of information! I sat next to the girl and she petted me almost the whole time. I think it helped keep her centered because there was so much to think about.

Sometimes my visits are like that. It’s almost never a matter of being a calming presence for people (young and old) who are in pain or extremely emotional. That happens sometimes, but more often it’s just being there to smooth out a day or to add a teaching moment to a medical visit. Or just to make people smile. And it’s more important than you might realize.

I look forward to doing lots more visits in 2026.

I went through the whole awful Medieval Cat Advent Calendar and did a video every day. Except for the first couple of days, I wore a different outfit for each slot. Sometimes I got to wear something pretty, like here on Day 6.

But more often, I wore something kind of silly, like Day 15’s Christmas witch outfit.

Or something even more ridiculous, like this Christmas tree hat from Day 23.

But nothing I wore was as bad as those awful looking, AI art trinkets. In fact, on Day 21 I celebrated the winter solstice by dressing up like a medieval cat, just to upstage the trinkets.

Can you believe we’ve reached the end of my 2025 Sunday outtakes? And we’re ending the year with some fun, mostly tongue-out holiday bloopers.

I’m not even going to tell you how many photos there are of me with this scrap of gift wrap on my head.

Clearly I wasn’t aware of what was under the wrapping for me!

If you saw my blog post and video about this cat tunnel bed, you know I was a lot more pleased with it than I show here.

I don’t think my human intended to snap this photo of me getting a treat when I was posing in front of this tree.

Even though it’s been a busy week for her, my human felt it was important that we visit the big hospital on Christmas Day. After all, who wants to be a hospital patient on Christmas? Or work on that day, for that matter? So we scheduled it a few weeks ago.

And we did see a lot of staff. We stopped by to see the residents and they were surprised and happy to see me! A couple of them had never seen me before, and didn’t know a cat came to visit the hospital.

We also stopped by Labor and Delivery, and they always love seeing me. Although they were having a pretty quiet day, they had patients they were caring for, so I was a nice lunchtime break for them.

The most patients I saw were in the Rehab area. The first one I saw was a nonverbal woman who had two older people visiting her. I think they were her parents.

When the nurse asked if they wanted to see me, they were confused at first and said no. But then the patient stood in the doorway in her hospital gown and saw me. And she wanted to see me. So we wound up having a really nice visit.

Both my human and I connect well with nonverbal people. I know why I do — I’m a kitty, I don’t need words. For my human, I think it’s a relief not to have to make small talk, and it makes the visits more meaningful to her. We can connect on a level that doesn’t need conversation.

The second room we saw had two patients in it, both Spanish speaking. The first woman and her family didn’t really want to see me. But it was totally different with the other patient. When she saw me, her face lit up in that special way when a cat person sees me.

Since it was a quiet day for us, I spent a lot of time on the bed with this woman, and I think she got a lot of out of having me there. I’m glad my human didn’t have to rush me off to other rooms.

The last person we saw there was the daughter of a patient. She and her mother actually wanted to see a dog instead of a cat. So my human told her the schedule for our therapy organization, and let her know that if there was pet therapy over the weekend, it would be a dog. In addition to my own therapy work, my human’s job is to be helpful and answer questions about the therapy visits.

Whenever we can schedule therapy cat visit on holidays, we do. My human doesn’t have family, and her boyfriend doesn’t have anyone local either. So it’s easy for us to do, and probably the best way to spend a holiday.
