My love for all things Alice led me to create my second vintage brooch bouquet inspired by Wonderland. This bouquet features a beautiful muslin fabric bouquet which I purchased again from etsy. I handpicked and attached over 50 vintage brooches in pinks and blues including enamel flowers and butterflies, rhinestone flowers, pink flamingo buttons, tiny mushrooms, resin playing cards, adorable Eat Me and Drink Me containers made for me by my friend Zoe in our Alice and Wonderland swap and a few vintage earring clusters. The Alice figure is actually a ring I had!

I found the most beautiful tiny Cheshire Cat handmade in Italy from etsy shop Mijbil Creatures. He's only 5/8 of an inch and sooo cute! A perfect addition!

Lastly, I tied a vintage handkerchief around the base.
And there you have it... my Alice in Wonderland vintage brooch bouquet!!

I can't believe I have been MIA since last September! All is well and the crafty bug has hit me again....but not with scrapbooking. My latest addiction has now been creating vintage brooch bouquets after seeing Miranda Lambert's beautiful bridal bouquet! I have to say, I cheated a little bit - okay, a lot! - buying a beautiful handmade bouquet made of rolled muslin roses on etsy because I loved the rustic look of the vintage wood handle and how sturdy the bouquet itself looked. It was a shame covering the beautiful roses, but I didn't want to go through the process of creating a base since I don't plan on selling these. (That may change though if I figure out a way to make a sturdy base myself!!!)

I used well over 50 vintage brooches to create this one, some of them belonging to my grandmother, some bought on etsy and ebay, and the rest picked up from numerous trips to antique shops. I arranged and pinned the brooches to the muslin fabric roses and this was the result. This is one heavy bouquet of bling! But it's priceless to me as I can display my grandmother's brooches now in a special way.

I just finished an Alice in Wonderland vintage brooch bouquet which I'll show soon. But that's my latest craze! So if any of you have a bunch of vintage brooches lying around and want a pretty way to display them, this is a great project!

Got another layout made today. YaY!

Creative Imaginations is the background paper I used for "Bloom." I handcut flowers and stems and embellished them with rhinestone cluster brads, Glitz Frosting, Jenni Bowlin pearl flower accents, and brad and pearl centers. I added some Stickles glitter, Thickers letter stickers, two stick pins, buttons and trims and that was it!

This layout is on ebay this week under my seller name: armenian-princess. NFL football starts this week! whooo hoooo!! Any fantasy football players out there? xOxO

Hi Everyone!
I have been in a creative funk lately. All summer actually! But I snapped out of it momentarily thanks to my friend Kelly and made this layout today. Her cousin had a baby girl, Skylar, and she wanted me to make a framed layout for her nursery. I created this using House of 3 patterned paper. I cut the center of the paper out so this could be used as a cool frame. Kelly's cousin can slide a 5 X 7 (or a couple of 4 X 6's) right underneath. This way she can change out the photo whenever she wants to. Embellishments include crochet flowers, a pink and blue Prima pearl swirl, Prima pink rhinestone flowers, dew drops, a vintage earring and Maya Road floral accents. The lollipop is from the talented Lisa Kettel. Love Love Love Lisa! I hope everyone on the east coast is doing okay after Hurricane Irene. Stay well.

Hi Everyone!!

It's been over a month since I have been on blogger! It's nice to be creating again, and I made these four layouts for Halloween which I've listed on ebay under my seller name armenian-princess.

Summer has been exciting! It started out with Kyle splitting his forehead open right to the skull. Twenty eight stitches later, Ky is fine, thank God. He has a little scar, but he is so handsome, it's not too bad! He's taking drumming lessons and loves it.
Ava is doing well. She is taking voice lessons along with piano, and I don't know where her pretty voice comes from (not me!) but she is amazing at 8 years old!

We recently went to Las Vegas. I love it there and we had an awesome time! In fact, we're hoping to go back at the end of the year to meet up with my family!

School starts again this week (yayyyyyyy!) so I hope to have more time here catching up with you guys. Hope all of you have had a great summer! Miss you!!!!!

Here's my last project using the June Pink Ninjas kit "Isn't She Lovely - Oner Upper." The two packs of felties in this kit are so cute and I wasn't sure how I was going to use them, so I came up with the idea for this card. It's so nice having the two sets of letter stickers as well to mix and match. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!! Definitely lots of sunshine where we are. We are excited to have a pool, but each kid has wound up with a horrible ear infection from it...so we have to tackle that issue or summer will be hell around here!

It's been awhile since I've created an embellished house, but this month's Pink Ninjas kit "Isn't She Lovely - Oner Upper" was so jam packed with pretty things, it made for a fun, girlie dollhouse! With all of the trims and embellies in the kit, it was easy to create a house with lots to look at on every side!
I used a basic house kit made by Doodlebug to start. Almost everything other than the pink tissue fringe at the very bottom was in this kit. The full sheet of chipboard accents by Crate Paper were awesome and very vintage looking, which I love. I still have a lot left over! Studio Calico has these cute paper notions which I added to the rooftop and accented with tiny rhinestones. Ally & Nely even included a cute lollipop in the kit and that didn't go to waste, it's on the house right in front! Right now there is a great special going on. We're getting ready for all the mermaids & mermen to arrive for Ava's 8th birthday/swim party! One of our activities is to hunt for buried treasures in the sand. I created this banner for it using the Pink Ninjas June "Isn't She Lovely Oner-Upper" kit. Love this kit! To create the banner, I cut the aqua patterned paper into 4 equal pieces. I then cut the pink lacey patterned paper to fit each of the bottom edges, like a ruffle. I added some silver glitter, handcut flowers as accents, and letter stickers for the title and tied everything together with the pink trims in the kit. (There are two packs of alpha stickers in this kit too! yayyy!) This kit has some awesome colors in it! (I'm in love with the two puffies packs from KI Memories! So cute!) Next week, I'll show my next 'huge' project using the very cool chipboard embellishments from Crate Paper!! In the meantime, it's "mermaid fever" at my house!!!

This is my little sweetie pie Ava at 5 months old! It's hard to believe she turned 8 years old yesterday! I used the adorable ~* Isn't She Lovely *~ "Oner Upper" June scrapbooking kit from the Pink Ninjas to create this sweet layout of her. The patterned papers, accents and trims in this kit are once again cuuuuuute!!! Ninja Masters Nely & Ally never disappoint when it comes to awesome kits. Here, I cut some of the patterned paper to make a cupcake design (lOvE cupcakes!!!) and added the fun acrylic & felt cupcakes included the kit. The Oner Upper kit is available for $45. We're all "mermaid crazy" here getting ready for Ava's 8th birthday party next weekend! I've already started decorating! Yes, it takes me a week! I vowed that my HUGE Alice in Wonderland party would be the last big party I'd have for my kids. Wrong! The party bug has bitten me again and now I am throwing a Mermaid bash for Ava's 8th birthday!

From sparkly starfish wands, to seafoam cupcakes, to Ocean Water punch...this party looks like it may be my favorite one yet! I bought the cutest things on etsy which I'll show soon. But I actually got in the spirit today and made this Mermaid Cove frou frou banner to hang over the buffet table.

I'll show pics from Ava's party after the event, and then you'll see how extreme I get with parties!!! (And this WILL be my last big party!) ;)

My final project using the Pink Ninjas "Scarlet Begonias" May kit is this "i {heart} u" sunflower card. To create it, I cut paper strips and folded them to make a funky, dimensional sunflower.

I took the polka dot ribbon and bunched it up for the center. The floral ribbon was used for the stem. I handcut three hearts out for leaves. And to make the heart in the title, I cut the letter sticker "w" and pieced it together to form a heart. Then I stickled away! Quick and easy!

My third project using the Pink Ninjas May "Scarlet Begonias" kit is a layout of John's Goddaughter, Stephanie, on her wedding day. I loved the photographs of her standing behind the red tulips and knew I wanted to do a layout with them using this kit. So I was pretty happy to see the paper trim with red tulips on it! It also had red Bingo markers with her wedding date, what are the odds! (I won't even mention the pink cabochon rose! Look at her bouquet!) I love it when things work so easily!

The Pink Ninjas have come up with another exciting kit this month. What I love most about the "Scarlet Begonias" kit is that it is so versatile, I can switch it up from a "soft & elegant" layout to "dark & gothic" layout....and that's pretty cool for one kit! Using the pretty black cabochon rose, acrylic flowers and Maya Road red and black flowers in the kit, I created this gothic bouquet! I topped it off with 3 tiny yellow rosebuds, some red tulle and sparkly pipe cleaners for stems. Don't be afraid of the black roses...there is a ton of things you can do with them. Halloween is right around the corner!
I added the pretty black and white pleated polka dot ribbon to tie around my bouquet and topped it off with the sparkly black apple skull accent! And lastly, the Thickers "Rainboots" letter stickers included in the kit just pop off the page. Love that yellow, it matches all the papers in this kit perfectly! On April 29th, John's Goddaughter Stephanie got married. Her mom, Dottie, is one of John's best friends. I am continually inspired by so many of you. And over the years, I'm honored that I've gotten to know quite a few of you personally. One of these precious friends I am grateful for is Anita from Castles Crowns and Cottages. Anita always touches my heart through her inspirational blogposts. Anita is a French teacher who has a gift of using beautiful imagery combined with her natural gift of writing to create inspirational, powerful messages every week. Besides being a gifted writer, Anita is an amazing artist. She created this gorgeous bluebird wand for a giveaway. I am thrilled to say that it is on it's way to my home!
