Right now this is posted with just the flat colors (no shading or anything), and I will fix this soon, but with this particular comic I’ve dealt with two corrupt files, a total of 18 hours of lost work, and several headaches, so right this moment I’m sick of looking at it, so I’m gonna get tomorrow’s done and fix this after I’ve had a few hours to cool down.

I’m exhausted from a WONDERFUL Setsucon, sick, and delirious from the goo that stuffs my head and invades my brains, so not a whole lot to post, but I do wanna say a couple of things.

THANK YOU, everyone who came to see me at Setsu, and thank you to everyone who checked out the site after receiving a business card from me – an ASTONISHINGLY high percentage of you who promised to did in fact come back and check out the site, and that makes me really happy.

Anywho, I’m gonna go make some tea and do some more comic work while I can still manage to remain conscious, because I have a feeling that tomorrow I’m gonna wake up feeling pretty grody =(.

Sorry the post is late, but I had this and the next few comics already made, figuring I would just post them each tue/thur a bit early each time for those night owls that read.  However, last night, at 9pm, an hour before I originally planned to post the already made comic, I had a better idea and scrapped it and started a brand new idea for this comic, one that works better for the comic, is more exciting, and is TWICE THE SIZE.  As such, I’m almost exactly 24 hours behind the schedule as it was originally planned.

Anyway, Setsucon in a week and a couple days; I will post a map showing the location of my table once I get one so you folks know how to find me.

posting this comic in lineart form right now so you guys can still read it; the finished version with backgrounds and colors will be added hopefully fairly soon, but I’m having a number of issues with my arm at the moment.  I slipped and fell on some black ice last night and hit pretty hard on my elbow, which in turn wrenched my shoulder – it’s still usable, just a lot slower and a lot more painful than normal.

On the subject of the comic, I thought of adding some sobbing sound effects or perhaps a speech bubble to help express Spaz’s crying, but as of yet have decided it’s a more powerful frame when presented silently.  Thoughts?  Agree/Disagree?

As always, I absolutely love feedback, and will take all I can get – don’t worry that you give too much, because frankly that’s impossible.  I’ll ALWAYS take a few moments to listen to you folks.

I’ll be heading to Maine next week, but no worries, the comics will be posted as usual, so all in all it won’t impact you guys.

Not a whole lot to update on, just bug-checking the site, getting the character page together, and putting together a couple of wallpapers and the donate button (I can honestly say this is the first time in my life people have been hounding me to give me money.  Even if it is only small donations, that’s a good feeling to have – usually it’s the other way around!).

Extra special THANK YOU FROM THE VERY DEPTHS OF MY BARNACLED SOUL to T.J., who got me a NEW WACOM TABLET for Christmas.  It’s sexy and makes me want to stop doing, well, all the rest of life in order to make more and more comics and doodles and paintings and ohmygodit’sbeautiful.

Still bug-checking, so if you notice something’s up, shoot me a line so I can look into it =).  At very least the images should look better now – I found a solution, mostly involving not optimizing them and simply adjusting the quality manually to get a small-ish size without sacrificing quality.  Enjoy!

I know the site’s out of sorts at the moment – I recently updated to WordPress 3.3, which is currently destroying the theme I’ve been building, so it’s everybody’s favorite time – bug-checking time.  Aww yeaa.    I’m gonna go do that now, I’ll be posting another comic sometime tomorrow, which’ll put us back on the usual update schedule.

There appears to be a few things wrong with the comic, starting with kinda crappy picture quality… I went back and looked at a few of the other comics, and have noticed some similar artifacts, more than likely a result of optimizing the image.  I’ll look into the other problems and see if I can’t fix them.  Will more than likely end up doing some more research and determining whether or not optimizing the images is at all worth it, or if I should just post the images as properly rendered.  Getting a little tired of pouring work into the comics and crossing my fingers that it’ll export correctly.  As usual with tech problems, though, I’m gonna start with figuring out if I’m doing something wrong or if maybe I’m doing something because I don’t know it’s bad before blaming the imaging program.

In any case, I’ll get this figured out  EDIT EDIT:  Problem 1 – it apparently exported to the wrong res.  wtf…
