Honestly, I think it went pretty well. There were some rough spots, and some things I could have organized better - but $253 is a decent chunk of change. Thanks again for everyone who participated!

So I sent stories off to judges, and I ended up with a three-way tie.

::facepalm::

That’s what I get for trying to be fancy. So I’m going to send them off to some more judges and we’ll have results by 1 Feb.

The stories that are currently in the running for prize money are (in no particular order):

I’m a tish behind, but I’m sending out the entries so far to judges this week. We’ll be doing a ladder sort of system, so it won’t matter whether you submitted at the beginning or end of the judging period for the contest!

Keep in mind that you can see and read all the entries for the contest, and that they’re announced on the Alliteration Ink News blog (page, tumblr/RSS) if you want to have them announced to you!

Cover art is being prepared. Webpages are being designed. And the eBook is already taking shape.

Sure, it’s a couple months behind schedule, but we don’t need elfin Aerosmith (or meddling kids) to get this Rocket Sled out on schedule.
