"We are the survivors of a disintegrated solar system. At this moment, the remainder of our fleet is circling your globe."

"What do you want with me?"

"Arrange for your leaders to confer with us in the city of Washington."

Thus begins the trailer for the classic 1950s film EARTH VS THE FLYING SAUCERS ...

And if it all sounds too familiar, it should: it's the same basic message being promoted today by the "exopolitical movement," the "disclosure movement," and anyone else willing to throw their political weight against an alledged White House gateway to "UFO truth."

Some folks take this subject way too seriously -- Ryan Dube at Reality Uncovered was all over me yesterday for revealing a snippet of email from the messages leaked in 2006 by Ron Pandolfi at DNI DIA/MASINT.

This is strange because the same snippet was already posted at Reality Uncovered in 2007.

Ryan continues to pursue an agenda against the UFO believers with a fervency that often surprises me.

In a somewhat threatening tone, Ryan wrote to me:

"Whether or not you're a collaborator, knowingly or not - everything you're doing is assisting the Scammers, making you enemy #1."

Good to know I'm Number One, Ryan, but who is Number Six?

It's become true: the Internet has created "the whole world as The Village."

Back to the "saucer problem" ...

Fortunately modern technology (The Internet) allows for less destructive ways of getting attention to an issue than crashing a flying saucer into the Capitol or disintegrating the White House.

The problem with forcing government disclosure (on any subject) is the resulting mess tends to crash and burn.

Secrets are, after all, intended to remain hidden from the public at large. It's the law, and saying otherwise doesn't make it so. If they wanted you to know, they'd tell you.

No one should be surprised to learn they are the target of counterintelligence if they oppose government policy.

Of course the whole idea behind an "exopolitical movement" is to gently nudge the government in the executive and congressional ribs by pointing out that they appear to be excluded from "the big secret" too.

And some enthusiasts claim that is exactly what is happening right now as witnessed by the SERPO Affair. (Which is apparently evil and not entertainment, in the world of Ryan Dube.)

Spy Games Revealed

This is a tale about a tale, filled with spies, lies, and polygraph tape.

The core of this story involves high level government intelligence persons and SERPO, a "soap opera" about US government contact with an extraterrestrial alien intelligence.

For some, SERPO may be an entertaining work of fiction, virally amplified to mythic status by the Internet.

For others, including a high level official from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, former CIA analyst Ron Pandolfi; and Kit Green, another former senior CIA division head who consults on national security issues of rapidly advancing technologies for the DIA TIGER Committee, more may be at stake.

The "fall guy" in our tale, who continues to be the target of allegations of creating and distributing the UFO core story, is Richard (Rick) C. Doty, a law enforcement officer in New Mexico.

During the 1980s, while working as a counterintelligence operative for the USAF (according to Doty's own testimony on national radio), Doty emerged as the point man spreading the extraterrestrial intelligence trail.

Doty remains the most publicly visible player in the UFO spy game.

Stepping forward from the shadows (largely through his civilian proxy, Dan T. Smith) CIA's Dr. Ron Pandolfi provided a measured revelation of his interests and investigations into the extraterrestrial core story, and more serious concerns of core tales used to access real core government secrets.

In June 2005, Dan T.Smith contacted Dr. Kit Green about his intention to pursue government disclosure of the core story.

Smith cited several items which he believed signaled the possibility of a core revelation, including Pandolfi's "recent elevation at DNI [Office of the Director of National Intelligence]," a book by former USAF Captain Robert Collins which claimed to reveal the details behind an outlandish government cover-up of the UFO core story, and a proposed meeting to approach Dr. Henry Kissinger, who was rumored to have held the highest level position within an alleged UFO committee at the National Security Council.

"Mr. Smith is correct regarding my position with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence," Pandolfi would later write to one researcher, a fact now verified by the official release of Pandolfi's DIA/MASINT high frequency gravity wave study.

"Currently my component is housed within a DIA facility and we use their servers for Internet access so my official e-mail ends with @dia.mil. My close friend and colleague Dr. Green has investigated the SERPO story and may be able to offer some clues as to who might be behind the story."

A few months earlier Pandolfi had questioned whether the seduction of otherworldly sources within the core story had been used to penetrate the blackness of government secrecy.

Pandolfi's personal use of "sources and methods" was, as always, unconventional.

In June 2006 Mr. Smith described a conversation with Pandolfi involving the UFO core story and a previous revelation of government complicity of the extraterrestrial kind.

In the 1980s, UFO revelations were largely driven by a series of "leaked" but unconfirmed documents about a government group known as MAJESTIC, presumably managed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff as MAJIC (JIC being the ubiquitous acronym for Joint Intelligence Committee) and under command of MJ-12.

Over time the ever growing number of MJ related documents were debunked by skeptics for various flaws and their idiosyncratic design.

Smith reported, "Ron [Pandolfi] is now stating that some of the faked MJ-12 documents contained actually declassified information unrelated to UFO's ... Ron wondered out loud if persons involved in the MJ-12 document affair would respond to an FBI warrant concerning the transfer of classified material to the KGB."

The related 1988 national broadcast of UFO COVER-UP LIVE, which brought together American intelligence sources identified only by bird names (the so-called AVIARY) with Soviet researchers, revealed then SECRET government information hidden within the broadcast.

Two "birds" appeared during the broadcast: FALCON and CONDOR.

One man whose name is often identified with investigation of the AVIAN/MJ-12 Affair is USAF Colonel Barry Hennessey.

It was Pandolfi who had initially blessed Mr. Smith's efforts to mention Barry Hennessey in a public forum, as early as June 2006.

According to Mr. Smith, Pandolfi had been searching for traces of the USAF BLUE BOOK during a visit to Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

BLUE BOOK was an acknowledged Air Force investigation into the UFO phenomena which had been closed down at the end of the 1960s. According to Smith, Pandolfi was working with someone who had been involved with BLUE BOOK.

Many have questioned the veracity of Mr. Smith regarding his reporting of the activities of his friend Ron Pandolfi, which Smith loosely conceals using "code names" wrapped inside of his own philosophical meanderings.

Pandolfi later confirmed to another researcher interested in the origins of the SERPO tale:

"Although sometimes acting in the capacity of the insane, Mr. Smith is very clever, capable, and well informed."

Mr. Smith tells the story of the events that immediately followed the 1988 AVIARY disclosure:

"Colonels Hennessey and Weaver [from the USAF] were called over to the CIA after the 1988 TV show [UFO COVER-UP LIVE] to discuss Rick Doty's situation. They denied any continuing connection with Doty, claiming he was nothing more than a petty criminal. The alleged proof of that was that Rick Doty had failed a polygraph test relative to his case. Kit Green [a former senior CIA analyst and division head] had [seen] the polygraph charts ... the conclusion was that Doty had not lied."

Although the actual meeting was not in question, having been confirmed by both Pandolfi and Green, there was no consensus about the polygraph issue Green allegedly raised with the two men from the USAF.

Smith explained, "When confronted with the evidence, Hennessey and Weaver walked out of the meeting ... now that [Ron] has raised the issue of espionage in connection with the Doty case, Hennessey would have even more reason to find out who the [AVIARY] FALCON is, especially since he is now head of security for the Air Force's special access programs."

Pandolfi apparently felt the need to quench the "leak" of his involvement in the search for the FALCON.

In July of 2006, Pandolfi wrote to me requesting certain information be withheld from an impending article.

Pandolfi clarified his position on the Hennessey affair:

"It was Doty who claimed Col. Hennessey was the Falcon, and it was Doty who claimed Col. Hennessey had provided him (Doty) with UFO documents for release to the public. My opinion is that Doty personally forged these documents, that he used the FALCON name to cover his tracks, and that he had absolutely no professional or personal relationship with Col. Hennessey."

Regardless of any involvement by Hennessey in the FALCON matter, other documents evidence his involvement in dealing with persons snooping for information on the UFO issue.

One 1986 Defense Investigative Service document about defense worker Lee Graham, who doggedly pursued his belief in the extraterrestrial issue using the Freedom of Information Act, noted:

"It has come to our attention that Subject [Graham] has had frequent correspondance with the U.S. Air Force regarding UFOs. His correspondence may be reviewed by contacting Col. Barry Hennessey, USAF, Office of Special Projects, at the Pentagon."

Lee Graham sent me a hand-written letter, purportedly from the late John Andrews of Testor Corp., to the late Ben Rich of Lockheed.

The letter is dated 28 May 1987.

"We have (the researcher groups) finally gotten the National Security Council to release a document indicating the NSC Special Studies Project Group known as MJ-12 did indeed exist."

The handwriting in the letter appears to match another document from Graham's FOIA provided DIS file marked UNCLASSIFIED.

Andrews continues, "I have known of MJ-12 for many years even though, officially, it 'didn't exist.' There was an Air Force radar (AC&W) detachment at Sinop, Turkey under the cover of the Turkey-U.S. Logistics Agency (TUSLOG) who tracked Soviet aircraft and, many times UFOs. It was standard for the detachment to forward radar tapes of the UFOs to MJ-12. That was policy. I knew it because a man who was stationed there revealed 'MJ-12' in conversation. It is doubtful he knew how high the MJ-12 group was."

An unrelated source familiar with TUSLOG, who was former USAF and later NSA, was unable to confirm any of this information.

Another letter attributed to John Andrews dated 16 Sep. 1987 describes some of the fallout from the Andrews and Graham attempts to penetrate secret UFO information.

"Col. Hennessey (Barry) was in my office yesterday -- perhaps at the same time FBI was talking with you ... [Hennessey] then got on the topic of a Lockheed airplane -- Instructing me to not use its 'F' number in further writing not its codename. He did not ask me how I learned such things and I didn't offer. I -- just guessing -- feel your FBI talk may be related."

On the date in question, Lee Graham was visited by FBI Agent Hurley and another man, concerning information he had received from John Andrews. Agent Hurley later confirmed to Graham's employer AeroJet that the other gentleman was Special Agent Mickey Wilson of the OSI.

In another letter attributed to Andrews, addressed to "Ron," Andrews writes:

"... I knew of a NJ-12/MJ-12 long before Bill Moore's papers. I also know AC&W radars of USAF were sending their signal information (when 'UFOs' were picked up) to NJ-12/MJ-12 ..."

According to this letter, the radar data was sent on to USAF SECURITY COMMAND at Medina Base (Medina Annex) at Kelly AFB in Texas.

One letter attributed to Andrews, marked UNCLASSIFIED, states:

"Col. Barry Hennessey has been my AFOSI contact ... I should point out FOIA requests to AFOSI, FBI, CIA have all indicated I have never been 'investigated' ..."

Lee Graham continued to request information from the Air Force.

After receiving confirmation that "some records have surfaced" he received a letter signed by Col. Richard L. Weaver that "the Air Force has no responsive records."

It was Col. Weaver who accompanied Col. Hennessey to the 1988 meeting, according to Smith, Pandolfi and Green.

It is possible that Pandolfi had been sitting on this information for years, and saw the SERPO affair as an opportunity to proceed using unconventional methods.

Controversy surrounded Pandolfi, but history supported his methods.

Pandolfi's previous concerns about Hughes providing the Chinese assistance to improve their missile technology, "were not warmly received back at CIA headquarters," according to New York Times journalist Jeff Gerth, who added "the agency killed his study, called a National Intelligence Estimate [NIE]."

Eventually enough questions were raised about why CIA killed the NIE that Pandolfi was called to testify before closed sessions of the Senate Intelligence Committee. That information remains classified.

By the end of 2006, no one seemed to really know the status of Pandolfi's UFO-related espionage investigation, either.

Pandolfi told one interested party, "Keep in mind that the SERPO storytellers left many false links back to DIA and other intelligence organizations while protecting their own trail with false e-mail addresses."

Strangely enough, the most flammable information had been provided by Pandolfi himself, a few months earlier.

Pandolfi released a series of email exchanges between Pandolfi and Green, concerning Rick Doty, phony DIA persons, SERPO, and the 1980s meeting with USAF Colonels Hennessey and Weaver at Pandolfi's CIA office.

When he learned of the release, Dr. Green was alarmed.

Green immediately raised his concerns that the information he had provided was "requested in an official capacity."

"I am not sure, but I believe it is a federal offense, a felony, for a stated member of the Executive or State governments to disclose publicly information they have requested as official under guise of confidentiality."

Green expressed his personal concerns to a Starstream Research contributing writer in London, who had been given copies for editing and eventual distribution.

"If, however," Green wrote, "any emails that were private from me, or to me, or from the Police Officer to me for Ron, as Ron requested, and they related to what I and the FBI has told me is an official investigation, I will naturally turn the set over to the Justice Department and the New Mexico State Police Internal Affairs office who is investigating the case for the Justice Department, at the Police Officer's request."

One of the messages appeared to contain a potential bombshell concerning an alleged source for the SERPO tale:

"I need you to know that Col. Weaver has contacted me and said he is Gene Loscowski. Her [sic] referred in detail to the meeting you and I had with Barry Hennessey about Rick's polygraph records ... He quoted what I said, what you did, and the circumstances of the meeting to convince me of who he was. He also told me the essence of the SERPO story was true."

A Disturbing Tale: Why we may never see government UFO disclosure

I have bad news for the UFO disclosure crowd.

If the alleged extraterrestrial presence is real, the odds are against disclosure.

Among members of the Intelligence Community, the tale of the alien presence is known as the "core story" of contact between the aliens and the government.

The strong rumor is there is a "disturbing" aspect to this "core story," something so dire
it leaves battle-hardened military types shaking in their boots.

An example of a real government program so secret that revealing its very existence endangers the national security involves martial law plans and preparations in the event of first strike use of nuclear weapons.

A 1992 cover story for TIME Magazine called "The Doomsday Blueprints" pieces together early cold war preparations intended to enable the survival of the government following a catastrophic nuclear exchange.

"What they envisioned was an America darkened not only by nuclear war but also by the imposition of martial law, food rationing, censorship and the suspension of many civil liberties," explains the article's author, who adds, "while preparations for rescuing the nation's leaders and cultural treasures remain in place, efforts to shield the civilian population were virtually abandoned decades ago."

In my series KNOWING THE FUTURE: CIA, 9/11, UFOs and the Extraterrestrial Presence, available at the STARpod.org website, I examined the methods and sources of confirmed members of the Intelligence Community as they tracked and investigated UFO-related technology and "persons of interest."

According to one of the intelligence officials who pursue the UFO topic (and many are at the highest levels of the government) the "core story" may fall outside of the President of the United States' "need to know."

Perhaps that explains the failure of previous efforts to seek out help from the Clinton White House for UFO disclosure, like the mid-1990s Rockefeller disclosure initiative.

Although it remains difficult to determine where official business ends and personal interests take over, there is solid evidence of high ranking intelligence involvement with the UFO and alien contact topic.

Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the Apollo astronaut who was the sixth man to walk on the moon, remains an outspoken supporter of the "core story" explanation for government secrecy.

Mitchell spoke of his contact with a ranking Admiral with the Joint Chiefs who agreed to investigate the "core story" of alien contact and report back. Some reporters were miffed when Mitchell refused to disclose the name of the Admiral, but Mitchell did provide to me confirmation that another report was "essentially correct."

Mitchell requested my help in clarifying why his testimony appeared to be contradicted by the Admiral, who had been identified by the Herald Tribune as Rear Admiral Thomas R. Wilson.

Quoting an article taken from the prestigious Janes Defence Weekly, Mitchell implied that the Admiral had discovered that the "core story" was protected by a "Special Access Program."

As explained by Janes, such a "black program" must remain unacknowledged when it is "considered so sensitive that the fact of its existence is a 'core-secret,'" defined as "any item, progress, strategy or element of information, the compromise of which would result in unrecoverable failure."

Astronaut Mitchell then added, "The UFO program that the admiral sought would be in this category. Thus by law he would be required to deny the existence of such a program. For a core secret SAP, even a 'no comment' would be a breach of security."

Consider, as an example, that in 1948 President Truman signed the "United States Policy on Atomic Warfare" which stated "the decision as to the employment of atomic weapons in the event of war is to be made by the Chief Executive."

This effectively allowed for a possible, although unlikely U.S. first-use first-strike with nuclear weapons.

A few years later, when President Eisenhower's "Doomsday Blueprints" were put into place, knowledge of their existence threatened more than "unrecoverable failure" of the government's survival plans.

The existence of doomsday plans and the initialed martial law order was a "core secret."

Knowledge of the existence of doomsday plans risked misinterpretation or manipulation by Soviet intelligence who might interpret them as evidence of an impending first strike by the United States, resulting in possible undesirable actions by the Soviets.

Evidence of the existence of UFOs and an alien presence, or worse, of manipulation by an alien intelligence in the affairs of the human race, would constitute a "core secret" at the deepest levels of the government.

An even more disturbing possibility would be the existence of government doomsday survival plans in the event of massive extraterrestrial manipulation of the world's population.

Would the government draw up plans for massive retaliation against the population, knowing that an "alien virus," an otherworldly manipulation had altered members of the human race in such a way as to effectively threaten the powers that be?

The ground-truth reasons for the cover-up of the "core story," a truly disturbing tale, is one mystery that almost certainly will never be made known.

New details released concerning UFO spy game

This story is too important to be lost in the dust bin of history, but probably not entirely for reasons of interest to UFO enthusiasts.

I'm referring to new details exposed (to the best of my knowledge) for the first time in KNOWING THE FUTURE: CIA, 9/11, UFOs, and the Extraterrestrial Presence Part Eleven -- Forbidden Topics.

The latest chapter of KtF tells a tale of Internet spy games as manipulated by Ron Pandolfi, former CIA analyst recently with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence DIA/MASINT.

A handful of STARstream Research files have been scanned and uploaded for anyone interested in open-source background on Dr. Pandolfi, supplemented by internal SSR confidential files including a 2004 response from FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force to a general question about procedure involving Internet contacts with CIA and DIA officials.

It's all about sources and methods and actions "outside the legal framework."

Although there are no accusations of misconduct taking place, the use of the Internet as an intelligence tool may be too tempting for officials pursuing personal agendas.

The new details are revealed under the shadow of a major intelligence "spy war" taking place between the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Central Intelligence Agency.

The Washington Post explains:

There are spy wars, and there are turf wars. But watch out when the two are combined, as in the battle over who will appoint America's intelligence chiefs abroad -- Dennis Blair, the director of national intelligence, or Leon Panetta, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Blair, a retired admiral who likes an orderly chain of command, fired off a memo on May 19 claiming the right to install non-CIA officers as his representatives overseas. Panetta, thinking this contentious issue was still under review at the White House, sent a cable the next day saying, in effect, that station chiefs should ignore Blair's edict until the matter is resolved by the National Security Council. Blair went ballistic, viewing Panetta's actions as, in the words of one official, "an act of insubordination."

Persons interested in pursuing disclosure of the hot topic of an alien visitation, allegedly the biggest secret of all time, should consider how intelligence turf wars play out at the White House.

The big question remains: If the President of the United States has "no need to know" about the alleged visitation, then who remains accountable to the public at large?

The real story, as best as can be discerned from additional information provided in early to mid 2005, may have been initiated by an earlier effort by Dan Smith to reach then President George W. Bush concerning the alleged (core story of an) "extraterrestrial presence."

To the extent that there is any reality to the core story, and if it is true that the President, our Commander in Chief, has been isolated from the core intelligence of alien visitation by "no need to know," any valid disclosure effort must rely on creating enough curiosity for the White House to issue a statement, followed by official and mainstream media interest in tracking down the nature of black operations deemed too sensitive for Presidential knowledge.

Yes Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, there are UFOs and Men in Black

It's interesting how the mainstream media downplays the connection made by Apollo astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the moon, between UFOs and the "men in black."

Over the weekend I took a few minutes to review interviews conducted with Dr. Mitchell when he appeared on CNN, Fox, and other programs in the summer of 2008, following his claim on Kerrang Radio in the UK of a government cover-up of an extraterrestrial presence.

According to Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the aliens are here.

As one commentator noted, "Dr. Mitchell, if this is true, this would be the story of the century!"

Of course the true believers already know the UFOs have arrived. And they hold a million tales of alien visitation near and dear to their hearts.

Yes, Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, there are UFOs and Men in Black.

Your little friends in the media are wrong, sir.

"They have been affected by a skepticism of a skeptical age."

UFOs and Men in Black exist as certainly as paranoia and duplicity, deception and misdirection, cover-ups and scandals, misdeeds and mistakes, tricksters all, hidden under the guise of protecting our national security.

"They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be that is not comprehensible by their little minds."

"All minds," Dr. Mitchell, "Whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge."

The power of these words, penned by Francis Pharcellus Church in 1897, transcend and translate universal truth.

A truth no one knows better than you, Dr. Mitchell, when you gazed at our tiny world lost in the blackness of infinite space and knew there was more intelligence "out there" than the little minds of men could hold.

First steps; infant steps taken toward the stars.

Alas! How dreary would be late night talk radio, were there no UFOs, aliens, and Men in Black. It would be as dreary as if there were no Dr. Edgar Mitchell to bring forth a disclosure of the secrets and the cover-ups.

"There would be no child-like faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence."

Not believe in UFOs sir?

You might as well not believe in the Men in Black, who watch every sensor in space, every movement on the Earth, read every message as it passes from spark to thought around our world and back again.

You might as well not believe in Ingo Swann, in spite of his TOP SECRET clearance, who flew to the moon and back on a thought, not a rocket, and later trained teams of psychics to provide defense intelligence under approval of the Deputy Secretary of Defense and Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

You might ask the NSA, but even if then they did not find a single UFO or an alien presence, what would that prove?

"The most real things in the world are those than neither men nor children can see ... Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world."

We have been told about these things, and have heard a few tales as well.

We have heard that the Men in Black cannot track the phenomena, so instead they track the people involved with the phenomena.

We have heard about "network analysis" and secret government "core stories," about "alien guests of the U.S. government," and "extraterrestrial biological entities."

We have heard tales of government cover-ups, of secret locations, of reverse engineered extraterrestrial derived technologies, of minds, machines, and madness.

We have read accounts from "human time machines" and their predictions of 9/11 years and months before the events took place.

We have seen letters, documents, email messages, declassified memorandums, power plays, Internet spy games, and fingers pointed to those who are no longer with us.

We have read the testimony of your late colleague, Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper, about engineering information passed on to NASA from a "telepathic extraterrestrial source."

We have experienced the magic of dreams and visions, encounters at the limit of the human mind, and the reality beyond.

"You may tear apart a baby's rattle, to see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond."

Is it all real?

Are there UFOs and Men in Black, an alien presence, hidden agendas and a cosmic mystery?

Yes, Dr. Mitchell, "in all this world there is nothing else as real and abiding."

The UFO TIGER Affair, John Gannon and Homeland Security

It didn't take long: fall out from my last two articles co-published by American Chronicle arrived shortly after I received the "approved for publication" message on my Blackberry.

Of course I wasn't really surprised, since I had taken a few loose ends and bundled them together with a handful of words.

It was my choice of one word in particular that appears to have generated the most controversy.

"UFO"

Yep, that's UFO, formerly known as Unidentified Flying Object, once a quasi-politically correct way of saying "Flying Saucer," which, curiously, is how Director of Central Intelligence W.B. Smith referred to them in 1952.

Or how an earlier USG Office Memorandum, also from CIA archives, referred to them in 1949.

Over the years "flying saucer," a term apparently reserved for disc-shaped flying planforms of unknown origin, evolved into "UFO," a politically correct acronym which today I believe is synonymous with "reverse engineered alien technology" thanks to the viral explosion of science fiction.

Today's mainstream pop culture understands "UFO" to mean "it came from outer space" or any of a host of other references to "making STAR TREK real" by reverse engineering the alleged technology of an intelligence far more advanced than the human race.

I believe that definition stands whether or not the "extraterrestrial" "alien" "UFO" inspiration was derived from black-world pieces of a crashed "flying disc" or watching a late night re-run of "The Day the Earth Stood Still."

The reason is clear: For the aliens to get here, they must be far more advanced than our imagination of the deepest black government research.

"UFO" represents Clarke's third law of a technology indistinguishable from magic.

For the majority of humans on this planet, with little to no technical knowledge, existing 21st century technology appears as magic, without a doubt.

Meanwhile, back on our home world, we find TIGER (Technology Insight Gauge-Evaluate-Review) -- a DIA National Academies' standing committee -- tasked as a futurist think tank to provide early warning of emerging threats from rapidly accelerating knowledge.

It was physicist Jack Sarfatti who first responded concerning his role in what I will now call "The UFO-TIGER affair."

Basically there are two issues of concern to Sarfatti, who wrote to me:

"My point is that you have misrepresented my role in all this in that article and you need to correct it. You make it appear that I told you that JASON had a UFO team. Also you pulled out of context my inquiry to you about NAS members of TIGER to try to get the info for Mark because it was you who had already written about it or I thought you had at the time (2006)."

The connection of TIGER to "UFO" technology began with an on-line widely distributed discussion of Jack Sarfatti's evaluation of Hal Puthoff's "UFO" energy and propulsion research.

When the pros and cons heated up on line, it was a member of TIGER who replied that Puthoff's recent papers had been a topic of discussion at one of the meetings.

I later confirmed with this source that the topic had indeed been discussed although it was not part of the formal agenda.

Let's be clear about one thing: "Zero point energy" pulled from empty space and "metric engineering" of the spacetime continuum IS reverse engineered "UFO" technology.

It certainly isn't mainstream science.

It was not Sarfatti's message, but a message from ODNI MASINT Mark Pesses to Sarfatti, which Sarfatti forwarded to me asking for the "names of all the members of the National Academy of Science "UFO" tiger team" because "I have come up with something [Ron P] wants briefed to them."

This is strange for two reasons.

The first is the use of "UFO" before tiger team; I would have added "alleged" personally, but in any case we already know ZPE/Metric Engineering was discussed by some of the participants.

The second reason, one that suggests elicitation, is why would Pesses at MASINT (claiming to be tasked by Ron P.) need to inquire about TIGER membership in the first place, since the TIGER has an open membership and Pandolfi is a friend of one of the members.

The only logical reason to do so would be to determine how much was actually known about the committee or to track the message as it was passed on.

Finally, the core of this story revolves around the "spies, lies, and polygraph tape" affair which erupted when John Gannon of the TIGER committee, a highly respected and influential member of the American Intelligence Community both in and out of government, was implicated in the sordid SERPO alien exchange program release on the Internet.

We'll come back to that topic in future "episodes" of KNOWING THE FUTURE.

For now just keep in mind that Gannon was the Deputy Director for Intelligence when Ron was at CIA.

Oh, and I should add Gannon's name has recently been tossed out by the mainstream media as a candidate for Director of Central Intelligence and according to one source in the TIGER, as a possible Secretary of Defense.

(Meanwhile, President Barack Hussein Obama's nominee for DHS has backed down over the CIA torture controversy.)

Final point before we move on to JASON: Protecting Gannon should be strictly viewed under an umbrella of intelligence politics and not simply viewed as innocent "Internet UFO antics."

JASON: what have I done? I have tarnished the elite by splattering "UFO" on their good and respected name.

On the other hand, it was Ron who brought them a plate loaded with obvious "UFO" "junk science" right?

And what about academic research into HFGW, notably Dr. Raymond Chiao's solidly argued "conceptual tension" between Einstein's General Relativity and Quantum Theory? If Chiao's work is of interest to DARPA, omission of Chiao's work in the JASON study suggests other agendas are at play.

(It should be added here that a "classified portion" of the MITRE JASON HFGW study may provide details on the Chinese connection.)

Is HFGW "UFO" technology, regardless of how it is labeled by JASON?

High Frequency Gravity Wave research qualifies as "UFO" inspired based upon the incredible claims made by the proponents of the work debunked by JASON. This is clearly in contrast to mainstream gravity wave research programs like LIGO and LISA.

You will find the claims of HFGW in any episode of STAR TREK where the Captain orders ship's sensors to scan an alien world.

"UFO" has come to represent any "science fiction" inspired technology, some of which we now take for granted, like my Blackberry Storm "communicator."

The proposed HFGW sensor is no exception.

Regardless of my personal opinion, it was Pandolfi who made the UFO/HFGW connection when he directed the issue to alien conspiracy author Bob Collins, who then promptly shared Ron's inquiry by email.

When I asked Ron about this, he explained to me that his data indicated a connection between UFOs and HFGW among American researchers but had discovered that was not the case for foreign HFGW researchers.

This suggests Ron is using network analysis software to track researchers involved in "exotic" research topics.

"Exotic" as in UFOs, extraterrestrial derived technology, reverse engineering, and so on.

Presenting the BAKER/CHINESE HFGW to JASON (who then thoroughly debunked the research) is an example of due diligence concerning emerging "UFO" inspired technology risks.

If Ray Chiao's HFGW experiment succeeds, the implications for the long term would be far reaching, as well as clarify one potential new UFO "threat from beyond."

It is not surprising that DARPA appears to be interested.

"UFO" remains a stigmata impressed upon the careers of serious researchers for absolutely no reason other than popular and academic misperception and bias.

The release of small bits of the U.S. government archive now proves the topic was taken seriously right from the beginning.

Spy Game Disrupts UFO Disclosure

The biggest question faced by the extraterrestrial disclosure movement (exopolitics) is not whether the public has a right to know about the alleged alien presence, but does the current President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, have a "need to know."

A couple of years ago investigative author Gus Russo asked the question, "Is Uncle Sam a closet UFOlogist?"

After reading various materials supplied by his sponsor, Dan T. Smith, son of a famous Harvard economist who worked for the Eisenhower administration, Russo concluded that the reason Smith's friend, former CIA analyst Ronald "Ron" Pandolfi remained involved with UFO-related topics and persons, was "national security."

At the time of Russo's investigation, Pandolfi was with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence MASINT. The ODNI coordinates all national intelligence and is responsible for briefing the President.

According to Smith, who notes that his older sister is a friend of Nancy Bush Ellis (President George H.W. Bush's sister), with every change of administration there is a ripple effect within the government's closely held secrets that he calls the "repositioning."

A recent example is the Presidential release of classified CIA "torture memos."

In spite of enhancements to Freedom Of Information (FOIA), attempts to gain access to UFO-related government memos remains torturous, with numerous escape clauses designed to protect the national security.

A recent attempt comes from Lee Graham, who was investigated by the Defense Investigative Service for his UFO interests. Graham asked the USAF for images of two specific anomalous "UFO" events.

The Air Force provided Graham with a "neither confirm not deny" response on the grounds of national security.

One source to Russo, a gentleman who provides high level input to a Defense Intelligence Agency sponsored National Academies' scientific committee, was questioned about the extraterrestrial rumors:

"I have spoken to three former Presidents and the subject always comes up, not as a briefing, but they also want to know the truth. But apparently they aren´t cleared for it."

Perhaps the President is not allowed to discuss the topic with Senior Intelligence Officials who are not on a short and closely held "need to know" list.

One would hope (and naively expect) that "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

Unfortunately the bitter history of secrets deemed too sensitive for consumption by the man on the street and foreign governments, both friend and foe, remains a stumbling block to further pursuit of the topic.

I take note of my previous line with a sense of disdain: the citizens of this nation and foreign nationals, both good and bad, have been compartmented together under an umbrella of national secrecy.

The historical record is pockmarked by ugly abuses of power, intended not for the protection of the people, but to conceal the nefarious activities of select persons and their shadow agendas.

And so we are left to look to our leaders, and the President of the United States, for guidance as we gaze into the dark unknown. If we cannot see into the darkness, and if the leader of our nation has "no need to know," then who remains accountable to our collective future?

At least the President remains comfortably visible.

We know for certain, based upon government documents and personal accounts shared by many past and present officials, there exists an interest in developing "crazy ideas" like telepathy, psychic remote viewing, mind to mind influence, earth penetrating gravity waves, anti-gravity propulsion, wormholes and warp drives, and other staples from science fiction.

These exploits appear on the surface to be "extraterrestrial derived technology."

Less is known about the levels of government in-the-know: one declassified example from the 1980s proves that TOP SECRET research into psychic warfare against terrorists was a topic directed to the Deputy Secretary of Defense when "human-use" guidelines required high-level approval.

It was the elder President H.W. Bush, a former DCI, who was later briefed on the psychic programs as Vice President during the Reagan Administration. With the officially sanctioned release of the CIA STAR GATE files, we are able to prove the almost unbelievable depth of secrecy used to protect "the men who stared at empty space" of their mind's eye in the 1980s.

It does give pause to the idea of obtaining any access to information about an alleged alien presence.

The topic of psychic defense returned following 9/11, as told by British author Jon Ronson in his book, THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS. Ronson's book has been adapted into a fictional film starring George Clooney.

I have mentioned Ron Pandolfi, and Dan Smith's "repositioning" as it relates to government disclosure on of an alleged "extraterrestrial presence."

For Jon Ronson, the trail began with the search for "Ron," a mysterious intelligence official psychic Uri Geller identified as the man who "reactivated" his services for the Bush War on Terror.

A prior effort to dislodge the secrets was launched with the repositioning taking place when Bill Clinton was elected, and Ron Pandolfi was involved as well.

The story is told by Grant Cameron at his http://www.presidentialufo.com website, and involved familiar names like Laurance Rockefeller, his friendship with Hillary Clinton, and many involved in the Bill Clinton Administration including Leon Panetta, the current Director of Central Intelligence (DCI).

It is worth noting that the job of briefing the President was taken from the DCI and handed to the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). Pandolfi's last known position with the Office of the DNI places him close to the primary authority for all US intelligence agencies.

It is also worth mentioning in 2006 Pandolfi passed email messages to US and foreign nationals concerning a possible penetration of secure facilities, including some at Los Alamos, by a former USAF agent named Rick Doty, under an agenda to see "who would take Rick's place" in promoting a "core story" of extraterrestrial visitation.

Curiously this all went away without much fanfare, in spite of discussion of the FBI and Justice Department and the fact that Doty continues to work for law enforcement in New Mexico.

When Pandolfi was publicly confronted concerning this release, he requested redaction of specific detailed information concerning "sources and methods" and stated that the entire affair was a "personal matter" to protect John Gannon, former Deputy Director for Intelligence at CIA during the Clinton Administration.

John Gannon's name had been allegedly passed on by two "DIA sources" who were never identified, according to Pandolfi's email.

Meanwhile Pandolfi maintained a personal interest in other alleged "derived alien technology" including RAM -- Replication Alien Machine -- and ARV -- Alien Reproduction Vehicle.

A primary party interested in moving disclosure of the alleged RAM/ARV technologies is Gordon Novel, a man notable for his "intelligence file" which goes back to the Jim Garrison JFK assassination conspiracy investigation of the 1960s.

The "intelligence files" concerning Mr. Novel come from CIA, FBI, and ONI offices.

Based upon email exchanges I have seen, Pandolfi, the former CIA man and ODNI scientific expert, apparently supports Mr. Novel's right to pursue the alleged alien technology.

In recent years Mr. Novel, who was consulted by pop superstar Michael Jackson according to a feature story in VANITY FAIR, has been more forthcoming about his interest in the alleged ET technology.

Michael Jackson is a friend of Uri Geller, the UK based psychic star Jon Ronson claims sent him on a search for "Ron" which uncovered the psychokinetic heart-stopping "Men Who Stare at Goats."

Meanwhile Mr. Novel continues to promote the RAM/ARV quest which included a quietly conducted confidential study by a major university on the effect of time machines on human psychology.

This weird mixture of superstar personalities, scientific and techno-futurists, government intelligence officials, foreign nationals, use of the Internet in violation of government guidelines, and the personal agendas of the rich and strange has evolved into a convoluted spy game.

Rather than pressing disclosure of government secrecy forward, the spy game disrupts any serious attempt to engage the mainstream media for a sensible, reasoned evaluation of what may truly be going on behind the scenes.

A few years ago Sharon Weinberger, a well known author and defense journalist answered my request for a letter of reference on the topics of interest here.

Weinberger wrote, "The Pentagon and national security institutions are a reflection of society --meaning, as in society, there are those who in the Pentagon who believe in psychics, UFOs and similar things. Regardless of whether one agrees with their view -- the fact that these officials have influenced policy is fascinating, sometimes frightening, and certainly worth writing about."

It is time for the mainstream media to realize this is serious business: these are the people who will help direct the future course of our nation's defense.

It is time to move ahead of the spy game and engage the issue in a calm, clear, and unbiased fashion.

Information fed to the public directly impacts the national health and well being of countless millions of individuals. Deliberate disinformation, fantasy, and unfounded belief systems fed by quasi-official input from players at the spy game can and often does make people sick.

An esteemed American hero, Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the sixth human being to walk on the moon, has also called for a serious investigation based on rumors and roadblocks he has encountered concerning an "extraterrestrial presence."

When Dr. Mitchell's comments about alien visitation were picked up by the mainstream media last summer, he asked for my assistance in clarifying that the truth remains opaque to him as well.

Dr. Mitchell pointed to an article from Jane's Defence Weekly, the preeminent defense publication, where it was noted:

"An unacknowledged SAP [Special Access Program] -- a black program -- is a program considered so sensitive that the fact of its existence is a "core secret," defined in USAF regulations as "any item, progress, strategy or element of information, the compromise of which would result in unrecoverable failure. In other words, revealing the existence of a black program would undermine its military value."

What is the acceptable cost to be paid by the public at large to protect "military value" -- especially when that protection appears to be making members of the public ill?

One item so secret it remained "in the black" for years was the existence of a doomsday martial law order initialed by President Eisenhower. The order was prepared and kept locked in a White House safe.

It was during those same dark years, when mortal men faced the untenable prospect of restoring order following a nuclear holocaust, that the legends of crashed flying saucers and alien recoveries are said to have taken place.

Nothing short of open intelligence committee hearings or action from the White House will resolve these issues, which remain an open sore on the public consciousness.

Active Denial: AIR FORCE "Glomar Response" to FOIA

The USAF "can neither confirm nor deny" a Freedom of Information request concerning the detection of extraterrestrial controlled flight by their DSP satellite.

And that's the final word, as stated in this response to an appeal made by Lee Graham when the Air Force used the so-called "Glomar response" to avoid revealing classified information about UFOs.

With FOIA executive orders tightening the noose around government agencies and services, one last resort is to "opt out" by using the spy's "get out of jail free card": FOIA Exemption 1, 5 U.S. Code 552 (b)(1) which permits "the withholding of information," "to be kept secret in the interest of national defense or foreign policy if properly classified."

MJ-12, MAJIC, and The Doomsday Blueprints

It seems that the good folks at REALITY UNCOVERED have no appreciation for a "working assumption."

And even less of a sense of humor.

They certainly cannot understand the benefit of imaginative, non-linear creative thought as an approach to a problem.

In this case the problem at hand involves highly controversial UFO disclosure allegations sparked by the unconfirmed MJ-12 Eisenhower Briefing Document, or MJ-12 EBD.

The MJ-12 EBD was previously declared "BOGUS!" by the FBI, based upon input from the Air Force Office of Special Investigation (AFOSI).

Rather than repeating myself ad nauseam here, I will skip the gory details now archived for your amusement at Reality Uncovered, and present the latest results.

I normally do not work with documents that have not been officially released by the US government. In this case I have made an exception due to some unusual details which I believe remain unexplained. I also risk repeating numerous efforts already undertaken and written about in popular UFO literature which I am mostly unfamiliar with.

In January of this year, Lee Graham sent me a package containing documents copied from his his Defense Investigative Service (DIS) file. Some of the documents had been stamped with an UNCLASSIFIED marking I hadn't seen used in the declassified documents I was familiar with from the CIA's STAR GATE collection.

One of the DIS file UNCLASSIFIED documents was the MJ-12 EBD. Another was a hand-written letter from John Andrews of Testor Corporation from the 1980s.

Rather than taking the FBI for their word (see the FBI FOIA reading room) I thought it might be educational to examine the MJ-12 EBD against real classified documents from the same time period.

After several frustrating searches, a moment of inspiration lead me to realize I had missed the most important clue: the slash following TOP SECRET, as in TOP SECRET/MAJIC.

If you click on the image at the top of this post, you can clearly see the use the slash in TOP SECRET/SENSITIVE followed by another caveat, XGDS, which means EXEMPT from General Disclosure Schedule.

You will also notice that this was determined by the originating authority for the document at the National Security Council (NSC): Henry Kissinger.

The next item is the hand written note from John Andrews which has been stamped UNCLASSIFIED next to his signature.

I should mention that the reason for all of this was due to Andrews giving Graham the designation for the F-117 Stealth while it was still secret. Graham in turn passed that information to Vice President Dan Quayle's office, along with a copy of the MJ-12 EBD.

The next item is the "warning notice" from the EBD, with TOP SECRET - EYES ONLY and the TOP SECRET/MAJIC stamp at the bottom, followed by the UNCLASSIFIED marking added before the document found it's way into the DIS file and back to Graham.

Also notice what appears to be an exemption on the MJ-12 EBD: "T52-EXEMPT."

To the right of the MJ-12 EBD you will see the TOP SECRET/SENSITIVE - XGDS (3) by Kissinger, for comparison. Keep in mind the EBD was allegedly produced in 1952 and the Kissinger document is from 1975.

The next paragraph is a SECRET message from FBI HQ to their Dallas field office where they state that AFOSI advised them the EBD was "BOGUS."

The final paragraph was sent to Lee Graham by AFOSI after he sent a Freedom of Information Request asking for documentation to support the FBI HQ claim.

"AFOSI does not posses any records that would prohibit you from circulating the copies of the unclassified briefing [MJ-12 EBD]."

The final piece which IMHO may be related to this mystery are the so-called "Doomsday Blueprints" discussed in an article from TIME Magazine.

It would seem that the issue of a possible preemptive nuclear strike against the Soviet Union had driven the Eisenhower administration to prepare for martial law: in other words "martial jurisdiction," or, perhaps, and this is purely speculative on my part, MJ.

According to the article:

In a White House vault were Eisenhower's standby crisis orders, already initialed by the President, including some that would have imposed martial law...

A "secret" White House memo dated 1956 records his rebuke when a Cabinet Secretary noted that 450 people were evacuated "rather smoothly" during an exercise. Eisenhower "reminded the Cabinet that in a real situation, these will not be normal people -- they will be scared, will be hysterical, will be 'absolutely nuts.' We are going to have to be prepared to operate with people who are 'nuts.' "

He warned his Cabinet not to get entangled in bureaucratic details. "Who is going to bury the dead?" asked Eisenhower. "Where would one find the tools? The organization to do it? We must not assume that we are going to handle these problems with calmness." Later he observed, "We will be running soup kitchens -- we are going to be taking care of a completely bewildered population." He feared anarchy. "Government which goes on with some kind of continuity will be like a one-eyed man in the land of the blind," the White House memo concluded.

Going further on a limb, one might speculate that under the martial order, to assure a balance of power, the governing military authority (MA) would fall upon a select group of persons -- a committee -- perhaps modeled after the elite Joint Intelligence Committee who also served on the Intelligence Advisory Committee, all neatly connected to the Joint Chiefs and the NSC.

Which of course brings us back to the Kissinger memo and the TOP SECRET/ ... and the idea of a MA JIC oversight for MJ?

"Alien Technology" Under Development at DARPA?

A few years ago Dr. Eric Davis, author of the USAF Teleportation Study, confirmed to me that a physicist had been taken under control by an "alien telepathic experience" at Utah's Skinwalker Ranch.

Ever since then, I've noticed an ever-increasing number of stories in the mainstream media about interest in "telepathic communication" on the battlefield by the US military.

Pentagon Preps Soldier Telepathy Push

According to the post from DANGER ROOM:

DARPA -- the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency -- is about to spend serious money on the idea:

The agency’s budget for the next fiscal year includes $4 million to start up a program called Silent Talk. The goal is to “allow user-to-user communication on the battlefield without the use of vocalized speech through analysis of neural signals.” That’s on top of the $4 million the Army handed out last year to the University of California to investigate the potential for computer-mediated telepathy.

Compared to the alleged alien technology experienced at the Skinwalker Ranch, which was investigated by Bob Bigelow's former paranormal investigative unit known as NIDS, it would appear to be a major investment in the concept.

According to Davis, the alien telepathic technology was able to render the bewildered physicist completely immobile, and take control of sensory perceptions. Once under telepathic control, the physicist received a "terse, threatening" warning experienced as multiple male voices commanding in unison to not interfere.

According to WIRED:

Last year, the National Research Council and the Defense Intelligence Agency released a report suggesting that neuroscience might also be useful to “make the enemy obey our commands.”

A possible clue to all of this may come from subjective reports that alien telepathy communicates an awareness of a person's future thoughts before they are internally experienced.

Recently I have been contacted by numerous persons, many who are professionals in the medical and technology sectors, who claim unusual experiences of this nature.

One outcome of the new awareness of direct mind-to-mind interfaces may lead to an awareness of the need to differentiate between anomalous experiences produced by disease and possible alien encounters.

CIA's "Flying Saucer" files and Psychological Warfare

"The National Security Council has recognized as a national security problem our present limited capabilities in making prompt positive visual or mechanical identification of flying objects. The problem is recognized also as one which bears directly upon both offensive and defensive capabilities of the armed forces; as one of concern to operations as well as to intelligence; and is one having possible implications for psychological warfare." -- CIA archive

In a phone conversation with Dan Smith over the weekend, we discussed the modern day on-going equivalent of yesterdays UFO/Flying Saucer problem now slowly coming to light in the FOIA archives of the CIA.

Smith noted that his friend Ron Pandolfi, the former CIA analyst who was last confirmed working for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence DIA/MASINT, told him that because the phenomena are real but cannot be nailed down physically, intelligence operations focus on tracking the people who are involved with the phenomena instead.

Meanwhile the CIA appears to be working overtime to throw a monkey wrench into the Freedom of Information process with their new CREST document archive.

For example , a quick search for "flying saucer" at the CREST 25-year project on-line search site brings up numerous documents with titles like "ABOARD A FLYING SAUCER THE ADVENTURES OF TWO 'KIDNAPPED' HUMANS."

Unfortunately, unless you are prepared to invest a lot of time and money, that may be as far as you get. The documents at CREST cannot be accessed on line like the handful available at the CIA FOIA Electronic Reading Room.

As the Federation of American Scientists pointed out, "... by refusing to place the CREST database online (or to release it to others who will do so), the CIA is undermining the “effective utilization” of this existing agency database.

The Mother Jones article cited by the FAS explains:

In a quiet, fluorescently lit room in the National Archives' auxiliary campus in suburban College Park, Maryland, 10 miles outside of Washington, are four computer terminals, each providing instant access to the more than 10 million pages of documents the CIA has declassified since 1995. There's only one problem: these are the only publicly available computers in the world that do so. At a time when Google is scanning and posting the contents of entire libraries to the Web, the agency refuses to link this large collection of documents—accessible through the CIA Records Search Tool, or CREST—to the Internet. This has effectively placed the CIA's declassified library beyond the reach of most Americans.

Mother Jones goes on to explain:

CIA officials also believe that even sanitized documents, if made available online, could potentially compromise "sources and methods." The fear is that foreign spies, utilizing the so-called "mosaic principle," could piece together fragments of information from a wide range of declassified sources to make deductions about ongoing intelligence operations.

One might well wonder what is so sensitive about the flying saucers that might be pieced together to make deductions about on-going intelligence operations.

The on-line fiasco known as SERPO comes to mind, given the numerous past and present intelligence officials involved, as well as their connections to high level CIA related operations like IN-Q-TEL and recent overtures to Chinese researchers.

One very badly reproduced "flying saucer" document that might shed a little light on this subject is available to examine at the CIA electronic reading room (or until they read this post and pull it off the system!) ... from Director of Central Intelligence W.B. SMITH.

CIA calls General Walter Bedell Smith , the fourth Director of Central Intelligence from 1950 to 1953, during the heyday of the flying saucer era, "one of CIA’s most successful and influential directors."

The cover letter to an undated 26 page memorandum from DCI Smith to the Director of the Psychological Strategy Board states:

"I am today transmitting to the National Security Council a proposal (TAB A) in which it is concluded that the problems connected with unidentified flying objects appear to have implications for psychological warfare as well as for Intelligence and operations"

Later Smith calls for "Determination of what if any utilization should be made of these phenomena by US psychological warfare planners and what, if any, defense should be planned in anticipation of Soviet attempts to utilize them."

The fact that the phenomena remain unknown does not appear to deter this effort.

"Intelligence problems include" ... "Knowledge of the exact nature of the phenomena" and "Whether any are susceptible to control, and can be thus utilized for other military or psychological offense or defense."

A National Security Council (NSC) ACTION is recommended for a "centrally administered research program under RD3 be established with "research objective requirements to be specified by the Secretary of Defense, the Director of Central Intelligence, and Director Psychological Strategy Board."

Another draft page notes that "The National Security Council has recognized as a national security problem our present limited capabilities in making prompt positive visual or mechanical identification of flying objects. The problem is recognized also as one which bears directly upon both offensive and defensive capabilities of the armed forces; as one of concern to operations as well as to intelligence; and is one having possible implications for psychological warfare."

TOP SECRET, MAJIC, EYES ONLY

Bob Collins, author of the controversial EXEMPT FROM DISCLOSURE UFO book, sent me an email the other day where he noted that "we see the TOP SECRET/MAJIC on many of the classified MJ12 documents" and "all or most of the MAJIC programs would of fallen under SCI or, Sensitive Compartmented Information which is used primarily for Foreign Intelligence or in this case aliens."

Attempting to uncover evidence to prove that a leaked document is authentic when the alleged program behind the document is buried in the black and highly compartmentalized is nearly impossible, even for the FBI, as an FBI source told NY Times reporter Howard Blum.

Left in this position, the next best option is to falsify the document by finding a fatal error proving that the document is a fake.

One particular example is the original MJ-12 "Eisenhower Briefing Document" -- a document that has been under the microscope since it was first revealed in the 1980s.

Unfortunately, amateur sleuths pretending to be experts make unsubstantiated claims based more on personal opinion than comparison to the historical record.

A recent example comes from the amateur debunkers at REALITY UNCOVERED -- a web site that proclaims using unethical methods to "out" the "scammers" intend on defrauding the innocent and wealthy, as well as the public at large.

Examples of unsubstantiated claims made by so-called members at RU (including one from a gentleman waiving his current security clearance in my virtual face) have been easily falsified using officially released (FOIA) historical documents available to anyone on line.

Here are a couple of issues that have been raised about the Eisenhower Briefing Document, and why these claims are simply wrong:

FASLE CLAIM: (Klass) The incorrect use of a comma in the date line.

EVIDENCE: Numerous FOIA documents exhibit the same error. After brief look in a couple of US government FOIA electronic reading rooms, I found a document featuring the same superfluous comma in the date line. This document was produced within the same month as the date on the Eisenhower Briefing Document.

FALSE CLAIM: (RU) US government DoD documents never are marked EYES ONLY thus the MJ-12 briefing must be a fake.

EVIDENCE: Higher level documents, such as National Intelligence Estimates and Daily Briefings are often marked EYES ONLY, even in the modern era. Handfuls of documents may be found with this marking in the CIA's electronic reading room.

FALSE CLAIM: (RU) Classification markings are never boxed in or emphasized.

EVIDENCE: Numerous variations of boxing, underlining, and use of special characters for emphasis may be found in documents from the late 1940s and 1950s, and in some cases, even today (I have an entire file on paraphysical research released by MoD with SECRET inside a box, as an example).

When RU debunkers are faced with the error of their ways, they typically respond by offering demeaning insults, unsupported retorts, and then to cover the trail of their errors, using their "editorial privilege" to delete select portions of text posted at their forum.

This must not remain unanswered.

Use of the public access to the Internet to disinform the public must be met with a swift and just response -- the truth.

So what is the truth?

The closest access for the people, comes from the historical records of the US government.

Although searching the records is a time consuming and frustrating endeavour, it is the one and only means of refuting the bogus claims of the debunkers.

We know, for example, that the Eisenhower document, and many others, are marked as TOP SECRET, MAJIC, EYES ONLY.

We know for a fact that in the 1940s and 1950s (and even today in the United Kingdom) joint intelligence was handled by a JOINT INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE, also know as "JIC."

The JIC was a very high level authority which debated and issued intelligence reports based upon a majority opinion.

Further digging revealed a related document JIGSAW (Joint Intelligence Group) -- which features pages of internal committee discussion.

And there, on the real page, is SECRET boxed using dashes.

Not exactly the same as the MAJIC document, but an interesting example for the record.

It's true that no evidence has been found in the historical record to verify MAJIC -- but evidence does exist to debunk the debunker's claims.

In other words, while no evidence exists for a MILITARY AUTHORITY JOINT INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE, one should never make false claims to prove it could never have existed.

Someone, somewhere, at sometime created the MJ-12 documents.

Understanding the reasoning behind the elements found in the document is the first step to understanding the thought process of the creator.

That's the difference between using facts, and opinions, something the Reality Uncovered crowd needs to learn if they want to be taken seriously.

The Times They Aren't A-Changin'

"Do you believe the Pentagon is spending money in this area of research?"

"The Pentagon has denied that. The estimates have been that they're probably spending $6 million a year. I don't know. I think they're probably spending something. But if they really thought that there was a psychic potential, the amount that they are spending is about one penny in every thousand dollars that is being spent on the total defense budget."

"Do you object to their spending it?"

"I really object to the public being mislead in this. I think --"

"How is the public being mislead?"

"In thinking that there is some kind of mystical or mysterious way, some formulae in which we will break through, put up a psychic arms shield, for example, stop incoming missiles. We think we need an intelligent debate of defense policies."

From an interview with Paul Kurtz, taken from the CIA's transcript of The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, November 13, 1984, on the "psychic arms race" between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Twenty-five years later the debate rages on, again over the spending of money on "imaginary science," but this time the debate concerns controlling how the wealthy and eccentric chose to spend their money.

And according to a handful of citizen journalists operating as Internet investigators -- allegedly -- are tricked into spending it.

Joe Firmage and Robert Bigelow immediately come to mind.

The front-line attack comes largely from the "Reality Uncovered" debunking operation, lead by Ryan Dube and Stephen Broadbent. The behind the scenes impetus for this attack against "scammers" would appear to originate elsewhere, perhaps even in the bowels of the intelligence community.

Reality Uncovered articles aiming to target the "scammers" may be found at their blog.

What the RU boys aren't talking about is how the tale of an investigation into funding of possibly questionable "fringe" science may have originated in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. At the core of this story is the shifting landscape of emails, covert agendas, and interaction between government employees, contractors, and the fringe.

In the end, who remains accountable for the use of our tax dollars spent on the fringe, never mind the private venture capitalists willing to take the risk to further their own curiosity about the unknown?

As for the "saucer rumors" and "alien guests" of the United States, at the minimum I can verify having heard these tales from a young former US Air Force source nicknamed "Sarge" -- and that was in 1983.

"If you knew the truth you wouldn't be able to sleep at night."

Honestly, I'd rather know the truth.

How much time, tax payer money, and effort have been spent in funding lies, spies, and keeping the truth from the people who are paying for it all.

At least Hollywood seems to have benefited quite nicely.

MAJESTIC 12 Documents and Her MAJESTY's MoD Markings

The UNCLASSIFIED marking on the MJ-12 document returned to Lee Graham following his request to the United States government, looks, to my eyes only, quite similar to markings used by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence for their recently declassified UFO and remote viewing documents.

I also note the ubiquitous use of "Eyes Only" markings by the MoD.

Caryn Anscomb reveals more about the spies, the lies, and the polygraph tape incident

Caryn Anscomb writes about her involvement with Rick Doty, Dan Smith, Ron Pandolfi, Kit Green, and the "UFO" spy meetings in Washington, D.C.

As far as my part goes, this all sounds a little dramatic – the reality is more benign.

[Rick] Doty contacted me to arrange a meeting in DC with him. I still have the email exchanges.

Dan [Smith] informed Ron [Pandolfi], as he is wont to do.

There were several email exchanges including Dan asking Ron for his advice on how I should handle Doty. (I was not scheduled to meet with Green.)

I turned up at the arranged meeting place, was briefed by Ron over the phone shortly before the meeting was due, but Doty failed to show.

I later found out that Ron had allegedly informed [Kit] Green that I was meeting with Doty and Green had advised Doty not to meet with me.

On asking Green why, he informed me that Ron had informed him (Green) that I had asked some off topic questions when having dinner with Ron and Dan a few weeks before. This was untrue of course.

I don’t believe anyone actually accused me of working for MI6. That bit of nonsense originated at one of the UFO forums if I recall.

The Hennessey/Weaver/Doty/Pandolfi/Green, meeting [at CIA office] did take place but had nothing to do with UFOs. Pandolfi’s recollection of events differ somewhat to Green’s.

[I have noticed that Pandofi's "recollection of events" often changes after he is presented with documented factual evidence!]

It was Pandolfi who brought up the Hennessey/Doty link with Dan, and Dan ran with it of course.

I have not yet come across anything written by Doty in which he claims Hennessey was providing him with UFO related information to disseminate. However, during my research into who governs who, it did come to light that USAF counterintelligence report directly to Washington -- in Doty’s case that would have been Hennessey, assuming Doty was in fact in counterintelligence.

These so called ‘leaked’ messages were partly staged.

The reason they went through me and not Gary is due to the events that led up to them which did not involve Gary.

[Caryn acted as a STARstream Research investigative source since early 2006, beginning with the San Francisco "disclosure" meeting arranged by Dan Smith. I was primarily interested in the US government historical record of paranormal and paraphysical sciences, which often overlapped with the UFO community. Many of the same past and present government persons were involved in both fields. ]

I was already communicating with a couple of the RU boys [Reality Uncovered -- Ryan Dube and Stephen Broadbent] when something came up that may have been a possible security risk – that information was passed to Ron along with the information on Doty’s threats made to an RU member.

[Curiously just a few weeks prior to this "security risk" we had been offered more information about the alleged "core story" -- however the source clamped up due to Dan Smith's leaking of what had been considered personally sensitive and confidential information.]

A promise was made by Ron to look into it and forward on the findings to the RU team through me. That eventually happened and consisted of a long email stream between Ron, Doty and Green – amongst other things Doty made a number of threats to Ron and stated that he had not been involved with the UFO community, at all, for a number of years!!!

[It should be noted here that some of the leaked communications were sent over DIA email accounts. According to another leaked message, Dr. Pandolfi, under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, had been conducting MASINT intelligence from a Defense Intelligence Agency facility. It is also strange that he supplied the information to Caryn and Reality Uncovered, since RU is partially based in the UK.]

I spent a lot of time with Dan, and was privy to a number of exchanges between him and Ron, and a few others.

I can state that Dan is not quite the ticket. He grossly garbles information, often unintentionally but sometimes quite deliberately, when it suits his agenda to do so.

[Dan's knowledge of the "spy games" should not be underestimated, in my opinion. Another message allegedly from Pandolfi confirms the same. An internal STARstream Research memo about the China-gate high frequency gravity wave affair clearly shows that Dan provides an open-source of intelligence concerning Ron's activities. ]

As for me being a useful tool, as it were, I turned out not to be a very useful tool. Most of my dealings and exchanges have stopped at me – not being passed on because the bulk of it was obviously garbage from the outset. And although a wild guess, I suspect that was the real motive behind sabotaging the meeting between me and Doty ... I wouldn’t have been quite as gullible as [others named who had been duped by "UFO" counterintelligence.]

[I asked Caryn about a few other details concerning this affair. Her final answers left me rolling with laughter ...]

[I know you were alleged to have revealed info on a narcotics case as I recall.]

Hardly! I couldn't release something I had no knowledge of. That bit of gumpf was passed to Dan supposedly by Ron -- Dan was there and knew damn well I never mentioned anything of the sort, not even a mere sniff of narcotics ... but Dan passed the bogus info on anyhow.

The only thing that came close to 'off topic' was the Golmar incident -- however, that subject was broached by Ron and Dan.

[It has been suggested by Dan Smith that Glomar is the glue that connects the dots between submerged UFOs, nuclear weapons, the Navy, Kit Green (who had been involved while at CIA), Ron Pandolfi (allegedly his uncle had also been involved) and Ingo Swann's report to DIA about a UFO over a Soviet submarine.]

I think by that point I had already slid under the table in a fit of giggles at Ron's suggestion that Bob Collins [author of EXEMPT FROM DISCLOSURE] was the mastermind behind the whole bird poop thing and MJ12 crap, so wasn't paying much attention.

[Btw as good citizen of UK I would expect you to report to MI6 any dealings with US intel!]

Oh no need, I have no doubt that they are monitoring my every move, comp, phone and inside my head.......twitch, twitch ;-)

International Cyber-Spies and Virtual Flypaper Counterintelligence

International spies are targeting sites and computers on the Internet, including government machines in numerous countries.

As reported in the mainstream news media at csmonitor.com:

A group of hackers based almost exclusively in China has hacked into 1,295 computers in 103 countries. Canadian researchers at the University of Toronto revealed that cyber spies infiltrated systems in foreign ministries, embassies, international organizations, and the offices of the Dalai Lama. Thirty percent of the targeted computers could be considered "high-value" targets. No US government computers were compromised; however, the cyber spies broke into a NATO computer for half a day.

Less is known about cyber counterintelligence efforts presumably in place to take advantage of this kind of professional hacking.

The collective experience of UFO researchers over the past thirty years, as well as historical records released under the Freedom of Information Act, suggest one strategy may involve creating sticky virtual flypaper on the web.

It is likely that a mixture of real and dis-information is used to infiltrate networks of cyber-spies and their masters.

And I suspect that information is distributed into select networks of persons and organizations to create the appearance of duplicty on the part of certain intelligence officials.

It has been reported in the mainstream media that the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) intensified efforts to work the Internet for counterintelligence purposes after testing the concept about three years ago.

One primary question remains in the tale of spies, lies, and polygraph tape passed by a senior intelligence official to website citizen-journalists: under what legal capacity can a senior government official from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence pass private email messages to citizens of both the United States and Great Britain when the subject matter of the messages concerns allegations of possible foreign espionage against the United States?

I also wonder how many copies of the same have been intercepted by foreign intelligence services?

STARpod.org on KNOWING THE FUTURE: CIA, 9/11, UFOs and the Extraterrestrial Presence

First in a new series.

What would you do if you could see into the future? And what if your visions were filled with images of terror?

The CIA and other intelligence agencies have been asking that question from the beginning.
Is it really possible to know the future?

Ask a modern physicist steeped in Einstein's theory of General Relativity, in which space and time may be curved into time machines by wormholes and exotic negative energy, and the answer might be a highly qualified maybe.

Mix in a little quantum theory, and interpret the results as parallel universes, and the answer, as explained by popular physicist and author Michio Kaku is "Apparently, time travel seems to be consistent with the known laws of physics."

The truth is, as always, stranger than simple explanations of time machines portrayed in popular films and television.

Tales and rumors of the future are the stuff of dreams from which Internet myths become viral memes, ideas spread like a disease over the world wide web of deceit and confusion.

Hidden within the flood of insanity and paranoia are little truths: predictions come true, warnings unheeded, and coincidences of misfortune.

Or perhaps, genuine knowing of the future.

The US government would like to put "the knowing" into a national intelligence briefing, if it were possible.

As documented at the STARpod.org website, more than twenty years ago the Defense Intelligence Agency extended a program initiated by the CIA to determine if the future was written, not in the stars, but on the front page of newspapers yet to be published.

Called Project "P," the idea was to determine if trained psychics, also under the tutelage of the intelligence agency, would be able to predict with accuracy the headlines of near future events.

Intelligence officials had some reason to expect success: it had been demonstrated that their psychics could "read" aspects of documents hidden and locked behind closed doors. This was during the heyday of America's secret infatuation with paranormal espionage in the mid 1980s.

Unfortunately the psychics missed most of the targeted headlines, leading DIA intelligence officials to conclude that Project "P" "revealed a near total inability to predict future events. Except for a few and isolated, eye-catching successes, there was no evidence of consistency or reliability in the results obtained from remote viewing efforts conducted in a predictive mode."

One curious coincidence from Project "P" is notable.

According to CIA STAR GATE files, released under the Freedom of Information Act, DIA psychic spy 079 described a "secret project" "911" when tasked to view a future edition of the Washington Post. Typically the DIA psychics were tasked in secret, without revealing the actual target they were intended to "view."

Some of the STAR GATE Project "P" files may be viewed at the STARpod.org website.

Agent 079 described the vision of June 18th, 1987:

"I saw pieces of white paper with black print. One piece of paper said a formula or project's number was 911. These papers were on a long light brown table sitting out and they were in draft form."

Was the future yet to be written in draft form waiting for that fateful day when aircraft would be used as weapons of mass destruction against buildings in New York City and Washington, D.C.?

DIA psychics also reported interrupted viewing sessions filled with terrible visions of aircraft flow as weapons against the U.S. Capitol Building and simultaneous attacks in New York City and against the Pentagon and the White House in Washington.

Closer to the fateful events of September 11th, 2001, Professor Gary E.R. Schwartz was testing paranormal dreamer Chris Robinson, a British citizen who had predicted various catastrophes by carefully interpreting symbols in his nocturnal visions. In August of 2001, at the University of Arizona where the tests were being staged, he told Schwartz of a horrific dream of airplanes crashing into buildings.

Was this vision related to a DIA psychic's 1986 brush with future fear?

In the 1986 vision, the psychic spy saw "A rather large, tall structure ..."

"Site is a massive grey structure. It has a stepped or different level feeling, stacked...newspaper headlines have something to do with a collapse of a building -- a lot of people hurt or injured. I also sense a feeling of panic, people scrambling and perhaps something to do with an aircraft ... I sense that the object may cause structural damage as it crashes through the building. All of this takes place sometime in the future."

According to the DIA records, "This particular Source commented later that these perceptions were so strong and clear that she attempted to flag down a member of the interviewer staff on the highway to report her on-going perceptions. The Source further became somewhat anxious by her unusually clear perceptions due to two personal agendas - a spouse who is assigned to the Pentagon and a sister who is intending to participate in the [1986] NYC ceremonies. She went so far as to request guidance from the interviewer staff on what actions, if any she should take, to insure the safety of her relatives, bearing in mind that as of yet, she has not been told the nature of the questions or the entire project."

It was the responsibility of DIA intelligence officers in charge of the project to interpret the meaning behind the psychics warnings of an impending attack. They concluded that "NYC (New York City) will be the target of an unexpected terrorist attack, by air and ground, of ... suicide-forces ... Washington will also be a target, simultaneously with (the) primary targets (being) the White House... (and the) Pentagon..."

Then, on September 11th, terrorists unleashed the unthinkable.

Professor Gary E.R. Schwartz was in shock.

A little more than a year prior to the 9/11 attacks, I had been in virtual discussion over the Internet with Professor Schwartz and physicist Jack Sarfatti, both well known for their alternative view that within the mind's eye the future can reach into the past.

Internet entrepreneur Joe Firmage had recently come out of the closet about his belief in an extraterrestrial presence, and launched the ISSO -- the International Space Sciences Organization -- to review possible modes of intergalactic travel. It was reported that NASA launched an investigation, worried that proprietary government information might be discussed at ISSO where foreign physicists were among the elite UFO believers.

And not too far removed in the shadows, CIA was in the loop.

Reality Uncovered?

On March 10th, 2009, the Reality Uncovered blog posted the following, potentially libelous paragraphs, without documentation or support, identification of sources and methods:

This time, the same group who released the earlier MJ-12 documents attempted to use the technology of the Internet to distribute the same meme again, nearly 25 years after they started the effort in 1980. That attempt to utilize the power of the Internet is ultimately what led to their demise. The group which RU researchers discovered actively distributing Serpo related materials included the same folks who were central figures in the MJ12/Aquarius activity with Moore/Pratt/Shandera….that group included, in part, Robert Collins and Rick Doty. But this time, through a counter-intelligence initiative conducted against the group by Reality Uncovered investigators, additional members of those involved alongside Doty were finally revealed. Two of these individuals included Dr. Harold Puthoff and Dr. Christopher (Kit) Green.

Those were only the "semi-public" individuals who portrayed themselves as only involved with "investigating" the releases alongside those individuals who were chosen (by allegedly "anonymous" sources) to release the information via email and the web. Their (Green and Puthoff’s) intention was to remain "under the radar," during the releases. The non-public members of the group consist of a satellite group of ex-intelligence and ex-military men – all collaborating to inject various parts of this story into the field of Ufology. These satellite “agents” include: James Angleton Jr., an Arizona group which may or may not include a J. Lackey, and other individuals who may be posing as fake email identities (either real stolen names, or fake ones entirely) including a Paul McGovern, Gene Lakes, Herb Milton (no longer active), and Tamara Linden. One involved individual even falsely presented himself, in person, at a UFO conference as Paul McGovern. There may still be additional individuals involved as well.

Much of the post concerns the origins of recent internet "soap opera" drama about extraterrestrials and UFOs, and a connection to Dale Graff , formerly with the USAF FTD.

In the future, I suggest that Reality Uncovered should rely a bit more on the official records (now that many have been released to the public) and less on hearsay evidence, or worse, speculative opinion.
Statements concerning persons' involvement in alleged or even nefarious activities should be supported by sourcing or methods explicitly stated within your articles. Anything less appears to be potentially libelous.

For example, had RU actually checked the record, they could state that according to a SECRET CIA OIS memo dated April 23, 1976, "Mr. Graff was met and briefed by [redacted] concerning the history and results of CIA's R&D efforts in parapsychology ... Mr. Graff admitted he has already committed 50K to SRI with the intention of providing another 50K next year ... Mr. Graff does not have a charter which allows him to do research. Therefore, he was very pleased to learn that some basic work had been done by CIA ... Mr. Graff invited OTS to closely follow his program."

Some of RU references to "weird sceince" at FTD may be related to the GRILL FLAME WORKING GROUP which acted as "A clearinghouse for exchange of information and technologies among DoD participants.

If RU had bothered to check the records they would have learned that the original GRILL FLAME COMMITTEE members were:

On the 28th of Novmerber, 1978, it is reported within the minutes of the GRILL FLAME meeting:

"Mr. Graff suggested a COVER STORY [my emphasis] be developed for the program."

It should also be noted that at the time SRI funding was coming from multiple sources:

100k from FTD
115k from AMSAA
20k from DIA

etc.

On May 4, 1979, Graff briefed the DoD GRILL FLAME Committee:

"Dale Graff briefed the committee concerning the recent exercise done by his people in helping the Agency locate a missing aircraft. Details of the exercise are considered very sensitive by the AF and all committee members had to sign a statement of acknowledging receipt of the information."

Following from this you would also have learned that during a meeting held at DIA on Sept. 25, 1979:

Graff briefed the committee on "on-going research in parapsychology phenomena in the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, and Rumania." Graff was therefore tasked to monitor and collect information on foreign persons and organizations of interest.

Did USAF OSI Fabricate the MJ-12 Documents?

Recently several new (to me, anyway) items arrived, including a packet of FOIA material supplied by Lee Marvin Graham, which on a preliminary and very superficial first glance sheds new light on the FBI MJ-12 "BOGUS" document controversy.

Although I am hesitant to write about this information without having vetted the supplied documentation, there are enough clues presented to force a re-examination of officially released US government documents and statements.

Included among the documents (presumably supplied to Graham under a FOIA request) is a copy of his file from a Department of Defense / Defense Investigative Service (DIS) investigation, file number 89311-DK1-3408-1W9, concerning his activities while employed as an electronic test tech by AeroJet.

[DIS is now the Defense Security Service]

I have been rather outspoken (and often criticized, especially by the folks at Reality Uncovered) about the risk of non-classified information, and government concerns.

Graham's DIS file is an excellent example of this kind of security risk:

Following his employer's statement that Graham is an "honest, responsible person," it is noted that "... Graham does have a problem in requesting information for which he had no 'need-to-know' ... "

The report also states that his employer was concerned that "unclassified data being combined with other unclassified data yielding classified data," and that "Graham could be used by others (UFO buffs) to collect data ..."

He then added that he felt that "Graham was susceptible to being tricked into providing research or data" in spite of his opinion that Graham was "basically loyal."

The bottom line?

Graham is "irresponsible in risking his clearance over his interests of which he has no need-to-know."

The later might also apply to others we have encountered in the UFO field, who have or once had high-level government employment involving national security issues.

All of this appears to support my position: when national security meets the UFO world, real concerns are at stake.

Another item of interest in the DIS file is a memo from DIS dated May 14th, 1986, with a paragraph that states:

It has come to our attention that subject [Graham] has had frequent correspondance with the U.S. Air Force regarding UFOs. His correspondance may be reviewed by contacting Col. Barry Hennessey, USAF, Office of Special Investigations, at the Pentagon (telephone number 494-9495).

It was the USAF OSI that informed the FBI that the MJ-12 document being circulated in the fall of 1988 was "BOGUS" -- which apparently was enough for FBI to shut down their own investigative effort, which had gone all the way to FBIHQ:

Dallas notes that within the last six weeks, there has been local publicity regarding "OPERATION MAJESTIC-12" ... Dallas [FBI] realizes the purported document is over 35 years old, but does not know if it has been properly declassified ... The Bureau is requested to discern if the document is still classified."

A memo dated 12/2/88 FM DIRECTOR FBI to FBI DALLAS with original classification marked SECRET, states:

The Office of Special Investigations, U.S. Air Force, advised on November 30th, 1988, that the document was fabricated. Copies of the document have been distributed to various parts of the United States. The document is completely bogus.

Dallas is to close captioned investigation.

Note that in the released documentation, there is no indication of who or what was behind the fabrication, other than the information came from the USAF OSI.

On 12/4/2000, Graham filed a FOIA request to Air Force OSI:

"... if the Air Force knows that the Briefing Document Operation MJ-12 is a fabrication and bogus they would possess records of proof for same ..."

Even more curious, Graham writes:

"I had sent a copy of the still classified [as marked] Briefing Document Operation Majestic 12 to Vice President Dan Quayle requesting its classification and authenticity status. The document was returned to me in its UNCLASSIFIED form as part of a Defense Investigative Service File number 89311-DK1-3408-1W9 I had received under the Freedom of Information Act. I had been investigated by the Defense Investigative Service because in my letter to Vice President Dan Quayle I I had included the designation of F-117 [stealth aircraft] in connection with SENIOR TREND which was at the time still classified information."

It should be noted that under official document marking guidelines:

Information may not be considered for classification unless it follows into one of the categories specified in section 1.5 of the EO 12958:

a. military plans, weapons systems or operations;
b. foreign government information;
c. intelligence activities (including special activities), intelligence sources or methods,
or cryptology;
d. foreign relations or foreign activities of the U.S., including confidential sources;
e. scientific, technological, or economic matters relating to the national security;
f. U.S. Government programs for safeguarding nuclear materials or facilities;
g. vulnerabilities or capabilities of systems, installations, projects or plans relating to the
national security.

As for the markings which fall under this umbrella requirement of US Classification:

TOP SECRET (TS)
SECRET (S)
CONFIDENTIAL (C)
UNCLASSIFIED (U)

Clearly the UNCLASSIFIED designation in the documents returned to Graham would indicate the Briefing Document MJ-12 must have fallen under one of the categories above.

Graham then requests of the OSI:

"If the Briefing Document Operation Majestic 12 was fabricated and bogus -- Under the Freedom of Information Act 5 U.S.C. I respectfully request a copy of that record that proves such a fact."

Graham received confirmation of the receipt of his request from HQ AFOSI on Feb. 6, 2001:

"... our average processing time, from receipt of request to response to the requester is approximately 60 - 90 days."

More than a year passes, until Graham finally receives the response to his request from HQ AFOSI, dated Feb. 14, 2002.

So, what did the USAF OSI have to say about their statement to FBI concerning the "BOGUS" Briefing Document Operation Majestic 12? Perhaps a redacted file, a memo to FBI, anything at all to support the 1988 claim that the document had been "fabricated?"

"... the Air Force Office of Special Investigation is not maintaining any files identifiable with your request ... We also consulted with other AFOSI offices to determine if the responsive documents existed. AFOSI does not possess any documentation that gave the Air Force permission to circulate the reference documents ... we have searched our files and cannot locate any records relating to Operation Majestic 12."

SECRET Revealed: UFO Cover-up LIVE, 1988

Thanks to Ryan Dube of Reality Uncovered, who earlier this week provided a link to an on-line version of the legendary "AVIARY" TV special, UFO Cover-up Live, I can confirm at least one SECRET that was revealed during the 1988 broadcast.

The SECRET appears ever so briefly in a chart of the alleged "secret government" said to control knowledge of extraterrestrial visitors.

According to Wikipedia:

On October 14 1988, actor Mike Farrell hosted "U.S. UFO Cover-Up: Live!" a two-hour prime-time syndicated television special that was broadcast in North America (and elsewhere). William Moore and Jamie Shandera appeared (among many other guests) and discussed the acquisition of the Majestic 12 documents, and introduced their sources "Falcon" and "Condor", allegedly high-level government intelligence officials. Interviewed in shadow and with masked voices, Falcon and Condor disclosed information about the U.S. government’s involvement in UFOs and alien interaction, UFO crashes and occupant retrievals, and alien biology. This broadcast also included the first known mention of Area 51 on television.

For those who are too young, too old to remember, or simply were not interested at the time, UFO Cover-up Live was hyped as a major event, as told by this post from ALIEN ZOO:

Anticipation ran high. Promotions for the show were everywhere, as we waited to see the LIVE connection they promised with a prominent Soviet ufologist, who would announce on U.S. TV that Soviet scientists accepted the ET presence, and that many UFOs are ETs interstellar vehicles. Mike Farrell was the master of ceremonies of the show that was produced by Tracy Torme. The cast was a showcase of many of the best-known faces in ufology at that time.

The most startling revelations involved US government involvement with extraterrestrial biological entities known as EBE. Interestingly I had heard a similar story in 1983 from a gentleman I worked with in the private sector, who had recently left the Air Force.

As ALIEN ZOO explains:

Moore had "sensitive" videotape of Falcon and Condor's testimony, which painted a picture of reality very much like what Bob Lazar claimed. Falcon and Condor vouched for the fact that the government had secret dealings with ETs for decades, and that a living alien (EBE-1) communicated much information about interstellar travel and humankind's history. Our
"secret history," according to EBE-1, included the fact that we are a species created by aliens via genetic manipulation of primitive hominids. It also included the notion that thousands of years ago, aliens "staged" religion as we know it, including the Biblical miracles, to manage and direct the development of our species. EBE-1, similar to what we think of as a Grey alien, was said to have come from a star system known as Zeta-Reticula, a double star on a "trade route" with Earth.

During the various interviews a chart is very briefly displayed of the alleged SECRET government behind the "extraterrestrial cover-up." That chart, displayed above, shows that there was a "parapsychology research unit" under the auspices of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

The existence of the parapsychology unit(s), and in particular the DIA management of the "weird" division of the Intelligence Community, was still classified as SECRET/NOFORN/WNINTEL according to a FOIA CIA-released STAR GATE review of government parapsychology research dated May 10, 1995.

SECRET/NOFORN/WNINTEL means that revelation of the existence of this program in 1988 was considered a national security issue, that no foreign nationals were to be given this information, and the WNINTEL is a Warning Notice that sensitive sources and or methods of intelligence were involved.

In other words, someone involved in the production of this 1988 program revealed a SECRET to the whole nation, and of course, to all other nations interested in monitoring

I suspect "bird" treason ... to be continued.

Col. John B. Alexander on the ALIEN REPRODUCTION VEHICLE

The Ten Trillion Dollar Challenge

For many years the proponents of the Alien Reproduction Vehicle (ARV) have suggested that some unidentified agency (THEY) has had control over a crashed UFO and were successful in reverse engineering that craft. According to this theory, THEY have controlled all access to information pertaining to ARV. Select versions of this story suggest that some, but not all, former presidents of the United States of America, have been allowed to have this knowledge. Exactly who makes the decisions about access to the information is never articulated, but the proponents are convinced that THEY exist. Speculation regarding control runs from some deep black governmental agency, to private industrial organizations, or even extra-governmental bodies which are totally devoid of oversight from either the Executive or Legislative branches of government.

Those not steeped in UFO conspiracy theory may not be aware that there exists a substantial body of published information that state that THEY have gained the scientific knowledge necessary to provide limitless energy at very low cost. Ostensibly, that advance was derived from the UFO crash at Roswell in 1947. According to this legend, once successfully reverse engineered, THEY intentionally blocked access to this knowledge in order to literally take over the world through domination of the macro socio-economic structures. Support for these theories go far beyond a few loose nuts and gain credibility through commentary by higly credentialed persons, such as a former Canadian Minister of Defense, active and retired military officers, and experienced researchers.

The evidence provided to support their conclusions of the existence of ARV involve a few, hard to substantiate, eye-witness accounts, and some low-quality videotape of questionable origin that purports to show an object morphing in an unusual manner. These same rumors suggest that ARV is housed at Area 51, or S-4 which are under US Government control in Southern Nevada.

Of course, development of such a craft infers intimate knowledge of some propulsion mechanism that is unknown to the traditional scientific community. If this has been accomplished, then development of a flying craft is minuscule compared with the true value of this monumental scientific breakthrough. Successful development of ARV means that a previously unknown energy source not only has been discovered, but has been engineered. Obviously, ARV is but one variation of use. However interesting ARV might be, it pales in comparison to other applications.

The main focus would be on energy generation. The proponents of the ARV thesis acknowledge this, and state that the rationale for keeping the new technology secret is so that THEY can dominate the energy market and make trillions of dollars through ownership of this technology. For the sake of discussion, we can set aside the argument that THEY have any legal jurisdiction over the application of such a breakthrough. Since the technology would have been derived, directly or indirectly, from US Government owned sources, the technology would belong rightfully to the American people.

However, since ARV does not exist, that position is moot. Prior to the 2008 national elections I stated publicly that if ARV were real, THEY would have revealed the existence of it in order to sway the elections in favor of the Republicans. As we all know, that revelation did not happen. Now there is another fact that has come to light that certainly argues most strongly against ARV. That is the decline in global wealth from 2007 through 2008. According to a report in BusinessWeek, during that period there was a real decline in global wealth amounting to about ten trillion dollars ($10T). While unstable financial situations played a significant role, at the heart of the loss was the volatility in global energy sources. To believe that THEY control ARV, means that THEY were willing to allow an eight percent decline in global wealth, while THEY had the capability to mitigate, or even reverse, this disastrous economic collapse. This is completely illogical and runs counter to the thesis that THEY were driven by greed and would use ARV technology to further their own economic interests. In fact, during the economic recession of 2008 (and continuing in 2009) more wealth was lost than THEY projected to make though introduction of the new energy source. Had THEY had access to ARV technology, there is no doubt that it would have been made public so that we could be! gin to c ounter the current global economic crisis. There simply is no sane rationale for continuing to allow further disintegration of the technologically developed world.

While it is said that it is impossible to prove a negative, the current economic meltdown comes about as close to proving that ARV does not exist as any argument could. The only alternative is to believe that THEY are prepared to allow national and global financial suicide, just to keep their secret. My ten trillion dollar challenge is for anyone to explain why that amount of money was willfully destroyed, if an answer was available.

As noted in my pre-election prediction, ET did not get the message and the rescue ship will not arrive in time to save us from ourselves. Therefore, we had all better get to bailing as hard as we can and come up with solutions to the energy and economic crises that we have.

Top Ten Reasons I 'Might' Be a Spy! -- Part Two

Here are five more reasons I 'might' be (considered) a spy:

6. One of my primary sources/associates, a foreign national providing information about the spy game, was accused of being an Agent of MI6.

One of my foreign sources was rumored to be a British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) agent for MI6, the real-life home of the fictional super-agent James Bond. Fingers were pointed in multiple directions over this fiasco, with everyone denying any and all knowledge including the accused. Some suspected the rumor had been designed to deter meetings between a former USAF intelligence officer and our source. Another suggested the rumor may have originated with the wife of an intelligence person who had met with our source in Washington, D.C. and allegedly told her husband she thought our source was a spy.

In the end it all appeared to be a puff of smoke intended to momentarily distract or dissuade those of us already confused by the hall of mirrors.

7. Elicitation

I founded STARstream Research to gather and analyze intelligence on emerging science and technology trends. (Some of those trends include UFO-inspired science-fiction technologies and exotic mind-brain research.)

If you're in the intelligence gathering and reporting business you probably rely on basic methods, including "elicitation" to obtain information.

Elicitation is a useful technique often used by "rogue journalists" acting as investigative reporters, as well as spies.

One explanation of "elicitation," provided by the US government Department of Energy:

In the espionage trade, elicitation is the term applied to subtle extraction of information during an apparently normal and innocent conversation.

Conducted by a skillful intelligence collector, elicitation appears to be normal social or professional conversation and can occur anywhere – in a restaurant, at a conference, or during a visit to one’s home.

As an intelligence technique, elicitation exploits several fundamental aspects of human nature.

Most of us want to be polite and helpful, so we answer questions even from relative strangers.
We want to appear well informed about our professional specialty, so we may be tempted to say more than we should.
We want to be appreciated, and to feel that we are doing something important and useful. As a result, we often talk more expansively in response to praise about the value or importance of our work.
As open and honest people, we are often reluctant to withhold information, lie, or be suspicious of others’ motives.

Establishing communications with a US government consultant, gaining their trust, and ultimately obtaining a hard-copy where they admit to a problem involving "telepathic mind-to-mind communication," might be considered elicitation. And yes, one USAF consultant did confirm to me an experience by a physicist of an extraordinary "telepathic warning" that froze a scientist in his tracks.

As for the government's advice?

BE AWARE TO WHOM YOU ARE SPEAKING AND TO WHOM YOUR CONVERSATION MAY BE REPORTED. DON’T BE PARANOID, JUST BE CAREFUL.

8. The Spies, Lies, and Polygraph Tape Affair: Counterintelligence Operation or Internet Fiasco?

In the fall of 2006 one of my sources provided a series of email messages alleged to have been released by a sitting DNI DIA official (you can probably guess who this person is).

Most of the messages concerned an investigative interest on the part of the official as to whether or not a certain former intelligence officer might have been working for a foreign government, and covering his tracks using UFO-related disinformation. The affair was closely linked to a group of foreign documentary film makers. The use of documentary film makers as cover for intelligence collection is well known.

More recently the DIA has been given a green-light to conduct "Offensive Counterintelligence" actions, including within the United States, if they involve foreign nationals.

DIA announced this new counterintelligence offensive at a Media Roundtable.

Offensive CI operations are – CI folks call OFCO – are clandestine CI activities run in support of DOD military national security objectives and programs against individuals known or suspected to be foreign intelligence officers with connections to foreign intelligence or international terrorist activities. And they’re run to counter the foreign intelligence operations, espionage, against DOD national activities and, of course, terrorist operations against DOD or national. These are very tightly controlled departmental activities run by a small group of specially selected people within DOD. There are only four organizations in the department that can run these operations – Army Counterintelligence, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Air Force Office of Special Investigations, and now DIA with the center.

The SLP affair involved DIA and a former Air Force Office of Special Investigations person of interest.

During the August 5th, 2008 press conference, director of counterintelligence for USD(I) Toby Sullivan stated:

"Until about two years ago, DIA did not have the authority to run these ops. The Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, at the request or in response to a request from DIA, granted them a two-year trial basis to run these things. So my shop has been working with DIA, as did CIFA, to help them build this capability. And they performed admirably."

Curiously this was about the same time period as the SLP affair.

When questioned about the operations that had taken place beginning in 2006, Sullivan added:

"There have been investigations come from these offensive CI operations. There have been spies caught because of someone else making a mistake and us catching up on it. But by and large, these are not run to identify spies. They are run to thwart what the opposition is trying to do to us and to learn more about what they’re trying to get from us ... Our focus in the investigation in working with the FBI is the DOD person. If we’re involved in an espionage investigation, it will be looking at the person in the department of Defense who is allegedly spying for somebody else. In the operation, we’re going after the somebody else."

As for Internet espionage?

When questioned, Sullivan responded:

" [I] can’t talk about any kind of operational activity, but you have people using the Internet to meet and talk and speak to each other and you have people communicating. So you can have that opportunity for folks who need it as much as you can have an opportunity for folks to meet in a restaurant."

9. Emails that go directly to the Department of Justice

At least one source has confirmed that all of our email messages are copied in real time and go directly to the Department of Justice. Note this is also recommended by government policy to thwart suspected elicitation by a real foreign operative:

To discourage someone who seems to be too pushy about discussing sensitive information or arranging a private meeting with you, state that you would have to clear this with your security office. That is the last thing an intelligence operative wants to hear. It usually causes him/her to back off immediately, as no intelligence operative wants the FBI or CIA to become aware of their contact with you.

10. Many of my sources have questioned whether or not I actually am a spy.

Once you enter the murky world of the spy games, you can never trust anyone, completely.

Top Ten Reasons I 'Might' Be a Spy! -- Part One

The Internet is filled with spies.

American intelligence agencies are working to counter the perceived threat of potential access into the homes of nearly every citizen by foreign powers.

But what about journalists and bloggers who report on the spy games? Can they be considered "agents" of the games?

Yes, and they are sometimes approached by intelligence services, domestic and foreign, to "assist" the cause; typically they are asked to publish specific content at specific websites.

Here are the first five of the Top Ten reasons I might be suspected of being a spy:

1. The hunt for "Ron."

Jon Ronson made "Ron" famous in his book, The Men Who Stare at Goats, but I actually wrote the expose' about "Ron" and Internet spy game exploits. In his battle to preserve truth, justice, and the American way of life, "Ron" went after technology leaks to China and pseudo-scientific mumbo jumbo. Already an Internet legend for his UFO interests, "Ron" has recently left the Office of the Director of National Intelligence DIA MASINT for a new job, according to his friend, Dan Smith. A few persons have expressed the opinion that exposing "Ron" is all part of the spy game.

2. Dan T. Smith.

Dan writes about his spy friends and disguises the information within paragraphs of philosophical ramblings about the nature of the Best Possible World. To an outsider, Dan's blog might appear as the rants and raves of an unsettled mind. If you know how to separate the facts from the rest, you can glean details of on-going spy-agency stuff, like the recent DNI DIA MASINT HFGW Report, which Dan reported about a year before it was published, which makes Dan an "agent" in the spy games.

3. Some of my sources have or used to have day jobs with a real spy agency ...

Some of my sources' day jobs involve(d) working for the USG intelligence community. Anyone who reports on the spies and their various associates probably has been in communication with numerous 'persons of interest' who are involved at some level within the spy games.

... And some of my sources are government advisers.

This includes anyone in a position to affect government policy based upon their expert opinion. Any undue influence on that opinion may be considered suspect.

For example, this recent "For Official Use Only" DNI document about influential British journalists which was obtained by the Federation of American Scientists:

The Open Source Center (OSC) of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence recently ranked the individuals whom it considers to be the ten most influential political commentators in the British press and profiled them in an OSC publication.

The OSC publication, which has not been approved for public release, is marked "for official use only." Furthermore, its "authorized use is for national security purposes of the United States Government only." What the relevant U.S. Government national security purposes of such material might be was not specified.

4. Some of my sources are Foreign Nationals:

Networking with foreign persons of interest (especially scientists) and introducing them to your other (virtual) friends (some of whom are/were 'the spies') might make you look at least a small bit suspicious on both sides of the big pond. Especially if (after they meet in person on foreign soil) there is discussion of a collaborative research program.

5. I approached the FBI about how my ex-wife refused to release confidential proprietary research papers during a hotly disputed divorce.

It was Senator Robert Byrd who supported the funding that brought Dr. James Corum from defense contractor SARA Corporation to the ISR (Institute for Scientific (formerly "Software") Research) -- but early on it was Joe Firmage's International Space Sciences Organization (ISSO) debating the merits of Corum's vacuum reaction propulsion concept. I had obtained a copy of the (then) confidential ISSO analysis of the Corum concept and my ex-wife refused to allow me to obtain the documents from our home during our divorce.

Needless to say I was furious over how easily confidential documents (with potential national security implications, according to NASA Special Agent Keith Tate) could be obtained using local domestic legal actions.

Eventually my ex-wife relented and I regained possession of the documents, after several months had passed.

Was CIA unwittingly infiltrated by Scientologists?

REALITY UNCOVERED's Ryan Dube latest blog post suggests the story behind the AVIARY "Core Story" of US government contact with an intelligence not of this Earth begins with L. Ron Hubbard and the inner teachings of Scientology.

In a piece titled "How Scientologists Created a Cult of the U.S. Government," Dube writes:

... in the 1970’s, the CIA was not averse to using Scientology auditing “technology” through the employment of high-level Scientology OTs. Keep in mind, these were guys where active members of a cult that was actively taking part in Intelligence warfare with the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies. Yet the top three guys running the SRI-CIA contract were, all three, high level Scientologists.

Never mind that the "guys running the SRI-CIA contract" were not the researchers at SRI but various persons at CIA Technical Services Division (TSD) including Sidney Gottlieb, Office of Research and Development (ORD), Office of Technical Services (OTS) and others from Life Sciences (CIA Science and Technology).

Dube appears so focused on the connection of key researchers at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) to Scientology that he completely overlooks the game of 'psychic (cold) warfare' CIA and KGB initiated at least ten or more years prior to the effort at SRI.

Dube continues: The CIA allowed these three Scientologists to spread this belief system created by the cult of Scientology, and allowed them to infect other personnel within the agency with this doctrine and these practices. These personnel in turn, as well as Swann himself, spread these techniques to other agencies as well as the military, such as the research and operations conducted at INSCOM, Fort Meade. A religion was born…except our government could legally practice it.

Dube rather naively appears to believe that the Intelligence Community overlooked the influence of Scientology on the belief systems of key persons involved in the CIA psychic research program.

A preliminary psychological examination of six key test subjects at SRI, released by CIA in the STAR GATE collection, noted:
When looked at from the point of view of psychopathology, the indicators both in projective and in objective testing do not appear to me to show marked trends, either for the six subjects taken together or for the subjects in each group ...

To elaborate, all six subjects tended to have high feminine scores on the masculinity-femininity scale of the M.M.P.I. ... Both the men and the women in this group of subjects tended to have high feminine scores. The trend is seen again in the vocational aptitude survey, the Strong Vocational Interest Blank, wherein all of the subjects tended to achieve high scores in music, art and writing, but particularly in writing was this consistent ... This pattern is common in people who tend to be introspective, to have a rich inner fantasy life, and in fact to refer that kind of expression of their emotions to interpersonal expression. The capacity to stand back from one's feelings, observe them, analyze them, even savor them, is common among artists and particularly among writers ... A tendency toward artistic interests, a rich fantasy life and an introversive style of emotional expression may be accidental in all of these six subjects. It may be characteristic of persons who are willing to participate in parapsychological studies. It may be characteristic of person's who have some extrasensory capacity, whether great or small, or it may relate to some other variable which happens to be common to these six subjects. At least four of the subjects in this study describe to me an interest in scientology and two of then indicate that they have been involved in the Church of Scientology for some time. This commonality may account for the similarity described above.

Clearly the CIA-contracted psychologists were aware of the influence of Scientology.

Dube rapidly moves towards his conclussion that the government had been infiltrated and overrun by persons emersed in the doctrine of Scientology. He naively writes:
Little did the CIA know that they had just allowed an infectious virus into their inner sactum.

However, the historical record of the US government clearly shows that CIA knew exactly what they were dealing with.

Indeed, it was CIA's Technical Service Division (TSD) that covertly experimented on unwitting test subjects under MKULTRA and related mind-control research efforts beginning nearly twenty years prior to funding part of the SRI program.

The WIRED Threat Level Blog is reporting on alleged abuses of domestic spying by the National Security Agency (NSA).

Threat Level's reporting is a must -read for any American who is concerned with violations of personal liberty. According to Russell Tice, in an interview with MSNBC's Keith Olbermann:

"The National Security Agency had access to all Americans' communications," Tice said. "Faxes, phone calls and their computer communications. ... They monitored all communications."

Here are a few of the main points of interest, as reported by Threat Level:

[Tice] said he was told to monitor certain groups in order to eliminate them as suspects for more intense targeting. Those groups, he said, were U.S. journalists and news agencies. But rather than excluding the news organizations from monitoring, he discovered that the NSA was collecting the organizations' communications 24 hours a day year round.

Olbermann asked if this means there's a file somewhere containing every e-mail and phone conversation these reporters ever had with sources, editors and family members.

"If it was involved in this specific avenue of collection, it would be everything, yes." Tice answered.

If true, the NSA spying adds additional support to concerns that intelligence agencies have been infiltrating all forms of communication, including the Internet.
