So far I already found a bug wherein the app closes whenever I try to access the Archives. But maybe I’m just running out of disk space. The app costs only USD$0.99 so anyone who fancies watching or playing beach volleyball games may wanna try this app out just for the fun of it. Disclaimer: I’m testing this because app developer Daniele Fruzzetti asked me to do so.

BeachVolley Scorboard for your iPhone / iPod

BV.SB it’s a fantastic Beachvolley Scoreboard, useful for audience to follow matches at their best, very useful for referees to keep control all the info about matches such as:
- Score.
- Service order.
- Timeouts with time countdown.
- Court switch report.
- Personal points to elect the MPV of the match.

Possibility of save the matches to continue them later or to archive an entire tournament. Fully configurable:
- Three types of matches: 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, 4 vs 4.
- Customizable team names.
- Customizable players names.
- Points per set: 15, 21, 25.
- Court switch: every 5 ponits, every 7 points, every 10 points.
- Number of timeouts: 1, 2, 3.
- Timeouts duration: 30 sec., 45 sec., 60 sec., 90 sec.

What is NBOL?

First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in Tanauan City, Batangas announced the opening of the 4th North Batangas Open League (NBOL) last July 10, 2010. The NBOL is one of the major sports activities being hosted by First Asia Institute for this school year. Different schools from the CALABARZON region will compete in different events which include Basketball (Men and Women), Volleyball (Men and Women) and Volleyball- High School Division (Boys and Girls).

This season, NBOL is composed of the following members- Canossa Academy – Lipa , Christian College of Tanauan, International Montessori School- Sta. Rosa, Laguna, De La Salle – Lipa, Don Bosco College – Canlubang, Laguna, Kalayaan Christian School – Cuenca, Batangas, Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa, Laguna College of Business and Arts – Calamba City, Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas, Lyceum of the Philippines University – Laguna, Olivarez College – Tagaytay City, Philippine Christian University – Dasmarinas, Cavite, Rex Dei Academy – Sta. Rosa, Laguna, San Pedro College of Business – San Pedro, Laguna, St. Bridget College- Batangas City, System Technological Institute – Sta. Rosa, Laguna, University of Batangas, University of Perpetual Help – Calamba City and First Asia Institute of Techology and Humanities – Tanauan City, Batangas.

First Asia Institute continues to promote the different sports in the region. One of the upcoming sport events is the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)-South opens on September 6, 2010.

• Change in venue for all Men’s games for August 8 and 15 (changed from Trinity University to Gators Makati beside Makati Stock Exchange)
• Change in venue for all Women’s games from August 22 up to Sept 26 (changed from Trinity University to Club650 Libis)
• Final list of venues to be used for this season are:
  
  
  1. JRU gym – along Shaw Blvd, in font of SM Hypermarket
  2. Gators gym – lower parking, Makati Stock Exchange Bldg. along Ayala Ave
  3. Club 650 – E. Rodriguez Ave., Libis. near Eastwood, beside Shopwise

Other important rules and announcements:

• Mizuno lock out: No balls other than Mizuno will be allowed into the venue. Teams will be lent balls at the venue to be used for warm up.
• Warm ups: Same as last time, teams may warm up at the corridors of the venue, without the use of balls. Teams will have 5mins. of ball warm ups on court, and 3mins. free spiking each.
• Eligibility: Teams assume full responsibility for whatever implications playing in the tournament may have on their players eligibility for their collegiate tournaments.
• Coaches: Coaches please come in proper coaching attire (collared shirts, shoes, pants)
• Clarifications: Only the game captains are allowed to speak to the officials, and only to clarify purposes.
• Galllery (official team lineup): All players in the gallery can play. But substitution rules will be followed.
• Libero rule: 2 liberos may be designated before the game. Only 1 libero substitution will be allowed during the course of the match.

How to get to Gators Center Makati: Just find your way to Makati Stock Exchange building along Ayala Ave. The Gators Center volleyball court is located at the lower basement. You can park at the public parking space just across Peninsula Manila hotel along Makati Ave.

Unfortunately, the Garnier Facebook app is buggy and now it won’t even play the videos with most votes. In any case, last time I checked, Daquis (who coincidentally have already proven that she can be a star by appearing in the Active White TV commercial years ago) currently has the most number of votes (1,684). She’s closely followed by another cutie (Junesse wth 1,683). Someone posted Rachel’ entry on YouTube:
