I really don't have words to express how much it meant to me to be able to take these newborn photos. The mom and dad are a long time friends of mine and the arrival of their son was yearned for so deeply, that creating these images meant a great deal. In fact, both the mama and I were in tears at multiple points during these sessions. Enjoy...

For some reason this quote was running through my head as these photos were loading. Perhaps it was the lovely floral dress that made me think of blossoming; or maybe it was the idea of documenting kids as they grow. I have been very lucky to have many repeat clients over the years and I love watching children blossom year after year. These three delightful kids are no exception...

This awesome mom is a firefighter and thought a few images of her daughter with a massive fire truck might be a fun place to start our photography session. It certainly was... as you can see by all the giggles. After that, we moved to beautiful Deep Cove with their terrific bulldog for some bubble blowing and even more giggles. What a fun day!

Time to share another session with another lovely family. We started with some photos at their home and then moved to one of Vancouver's most perfect spots - Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. The light at the end of this gorgeous day was almost as beautiful as this family...

After a busy summer of photographing wonderful families, beautiful weddings and precious newborns, I am finally trying to get caught up on a hopeless backlog of blog posts. I thought about starting fresh with more recent sessions, but I found a bunch of images from past sessions that I still really wanted to share with you, so here they are.

This family was amazing to work with!

Not once did I have to ask them to hug, get closer, or hold hands... they were such a loving family that the session went by too fast.

I could not be more delighted to share a few photos from a session I did with one of my oldest friends. Who knew when Caralyn and I were whispering about boys at sleepover parties that one day I would be photographing her very own baby girl? It did not even occur to me that we would both ever be mothers, but now I cannot even imagine it otherwise!

When this family decided to get together for a reunion, they were smart enough to give me a call to capture them all together. I can't think of a better time to hire a professional photographer than at a family event like this, where brothers, sisters, grandparents and cousins have flown in from out of town for a gathering. I know this family, and especially this set of six cousins, will treasure these photos for many years to come...
