Newington, CT -- The last Saturday of every month is Darren Rivera’s (a.k.a "Bronx") ‘Loads of Laughs’ Comedy Club Night at the Spin Cycle Café. Darren is Connecticut’s Latino King of Comedy, and he will bring his unique blend of wit and wisdom to the Spin Cycle Café, Newington’s alternative destination. Darren Rivera has entertained audiences across the country appearing on a variety of HBO and Comedy Central specials. Local residents will remember Darren as the winner of WCCC’s Last Comic Standing competition and can expect the same energy and humor when he takes the stage

Ed Hardy Wine Tasting

Come join us for a wonderful and tasteful experience with Ed Hardy Wines. The general public is invited however, you must be at least 21 years old to sample any wines. You will be able to place your order that day, but delivery of the product will take one to two weeks. Average cost per bottles is $9 to $13 (plus tax). Only Credit Cards or Cash will be accepted as payment.

Please join us Friday, OCT 15, 2010 between 2 pm and 6 pm. Admission is FREE!!

We will feature the following selections of Ed Hardy Wines:

Moscato: Refreshingly Sweet! Fragrant, with beautiful scents of white peaches and rose.
Well-balanced, with good acidity and a lingering finish of sweet and creamy peach and honeydew melon flavors.

Cabernet Sauvignon: Jammy flavors of blackberry and black currants with toasted vanilla notes. Well balanced, with a slightly sweet finish.

Pinot Grigio: This wine is clean and zesty, a nice cocktail sipper, with flavors of green apples and pears. The honeyed finish is brightened with crisp acidity, the perfect complement to food and outstanding by
the glass.

Sangria: Bursting with the sun drenched flavors of a hot Spanish summer, this Sangria is a refreshing blend of red wine, citrus fruit flavors, and a special spice extract. Add sliced peaches, apples, and
oranges or other fruits for a delicious appertif or try it as a perfect pair with grilled meat.
Serve well chilled.

Newington, CT -- The last Saturday of every month is Darren Rivera’s (a.k.a "Bronx") ‘Loads of Laughs’ Comedy Club Night at the Spin Cycle Café. Darren is Connecticut’s Latino King of Comedy, and he will bring his unique blend of wit and wisdom to the Spin Cycle Café, Newington’s alternative destination. Darren Rivera has entertained audiences across the country appearing on a variety of HBO and Comedy Central specials. Local residents will remember Darren as the winner of WCCC’s Last Comic Standing competition and can expect the same energy and humor when he takes the stage Saturday, Aug 28, 2010 Doors Open at 8pm.

“Darren and his friends were a huge hit when he was featured at the Spin earlier this spring, so we thought why not every month,” Said Laury Rosario, co-owner of the Spin Cycle Café. “We are looking forward to Darren's unique perspectives and bringing Greater Hartford lots of laughs, and new faces, each and every month.”

Opening night will also include performances by Connecticut’s own Mike Garb and Sergio Chicon.

Tickets for the evening are $10 at the door, $8 for students with valid identification.
