Back Home. A break.

Where I sleep, Time Flies hangs on the wall. Half quilted. A reminder of how things get away from me. A real time story cloth.

Maybe I will take it down and hold it today.

Then I will hang it again but give it more space. To fly. Make it useful in its UN-finished-ness.

I didn't take a stitch this weekend.

Most Indigo cloth in this piece by Glennis. Before I learned to dye my own. Hope to find some time for that this summer.

Severance,
The birds of leaving call to us,
yet here we stand
endowed with the fear of flight.
Overland

How Light Might Pass Through Her

There are some holes that go right through and some areas of less density in this piece I have to call Whatever right now. And in certain light you cannot detect the thin spots. We are like that really, and it is often hard to tell unless you get real close. And wait until the light is just right.

This is one of my Diaries projects, and I will be talking more about it over there soon. I can't seem to fit much stitching or video or anything in right now, So it is hanging here on the curtain in Mom's room and I thought you might want to look through it with me. Because the light is just right.

But different.

Looking though stacks of cloth last night, Thinking about how one reveals the other. But how the order never matters. Still a story. I'll be at Mom's till Tuesday with a camera, the cloth I call HOME, and hopefully a few quiet moments to stitch and take a few photos.
