The window ring

I love how wind will bend a cloth and change the form of what's on it. Over and Over. I love the eye that forms when a ring bends. And I love how a thin cloth shows itself so honestly. Truly a cloth whispering. And I really love how any color can become brown with a bit of tweaking. Sometimes it is just the time of day.

This is an old fling thing, revisited. Disassembled. I have found new purpose in taking some old thoughts apart in order to put them back together.

It is nice to see students starting blogs and sharing their work. We all know how hard it is to find folks to come visit when we first step into this big web. So go say hi.

Then. there is the the woven/ dyed fling...

the nature of old and new

Today I am asking myself if (?) new thoughts might move through old self more easily for the same reason as the needle glides through old cloth. .

Yesterday, in Diaries I began to focus on Dragons (it is the year of the dragon) as story keepers for Magic Cloth 1.

And so all things being connected, I have also decided to make the dragon my beast of focus for now. Is that too many things? I don't think so. Focus is a little game I play with myself to expand my vision. I have become a lot better at it over the years... besides, deciding, without worrying is easier. So now we have:

color = brown

shape = ring

beast = dragon

concept = sympathetic evolution

OK.

Something runs through it

Today's rings are slices. Parts of things that are really not separate even though they seem to be sometimes. I imagine that something still connects them like pieces of a puzzle. I drew this in high school. It is an apple. The new text connects it to the post from yesterday. In a way, it is now a self portrait. A form of self, Sympathetically Evolving to survive the unspoken violence of selfishness and greed.

And now I will go thread a needle.

So the tree and its shadow looked a bit like hands on a clock. And after a night of rain, the snow is gone and spring has suddenly appeared mid-winter. I guess it means it is Time to go outside and get some fresh air. Later.
