The question – God, myth or reality? is the most contentious one in our post Darwin world. I have always had difficulty with the concept of God as being something that is outside of and separate from me, but I can accept the ideology that God is the source of all life, is everything and not something separate of life or ourselves. I should perhaps mention that I am in no way religious, but I do consider myself to be spiritual and in that spirituality we all part of the whole, part of everything we see and feel around us. We are not separate from the planet but part of it; not separate from the universe but part of it; not separate from the source but part of it, and not separate of life but part of it and all that it is.

I have always felt that religion has, over the centuries, misinterpreted the original teachings of their founders. That the original views of the first pioneers of Christianity have becoem lost amidst later political interests and the interperation and re-interperation of their message. Much earlier works than the ones which form the basis of the scriptures we now have been deliberately ignored as they challenge the present understanding which has become the cornerstones of the many different branches of the Christianity we are left with today.

There are two types of criticism. The criticism that just wishes to attack and the criticism that seeks to open a genuine and open minded dialogue and debate about the very foundation not just of religion, but of the mindset that religion has left us with. When I consider much of the content of the Dead Sea Scrolls, especially the Gospel of Thomas, then I can’t but help feel that there has been a deviation from the original message.

The most difficult aspect of religion for me has been the concept of placing all my faith and trust in something I cannot see or feel. The belief that if I do this then all will be well undermines my confidence in my critical faculties and personal experience. It has become far more important to believe in myself when I face the many challenges in life.

It is us as individuals who must negotiate these challenges, either overcoming or failing them. There has never in my experience been some unseen force come to my rescue but rather the abilities I have that have seen me through.

This has led to a simple although profound realisation – the more I invest in myself the more opportunities become available to me. With this understanding in place we can now begin to look for the source, the power of God within us and not in some distant heaven. I have felt that this power has always been within us, to be nurtured and allowed to flourish. This is profoundly linked to our own personal development and growth, helping us to discover who we truly are as part of the source within which we experience our connection, one with another and to all life, everywhere. This power, this connectedness is founded on a platform of unconditional love that finds joy in us as creators and not followers of a thou shalt not philosophy. When we support others to reach this simple understanding, to reach fulfilment then we are also helping ourselves. I share so much with others, does not their unfolding and blossoming become my own? helping others as well as ourselves to our full potential is to allow us all to experience love, joy, and the happiness we are gifted through the love of the indwelling spirit of God. This understanding and recognition of our oneness relinquishes social stigmas and inflexible doctrines that adhere to the belief that God is in heaven as a stern judge. This new understanding, based as it is on our direct personal experience can begin with our own communities and then build up to a global scale. All our protestations for a better world will come crashing upon the rocks of our selfishness without this genuine, inner shift and realisation of our oneness and the love that is freely available to any that needs and asks of it within themselves, directly to the indwelling spirit in all our hearts.

The realisation that God is everything, and in each and every one of us, inspires a new and powerful message that encourages us to reach our full potential from a point of love, not to be driven to do the right thing out of fear of a vengeful God.

When we do that, we become that message in our loving and compassionate dealings with our own pain and the pain of others. We transform into the change we most need to see in the world, and become beacons of a greater truth, that we no longer need be driven by fear but instead become inspired by love, and by that inspiration inspire others to the same end.

The benefits of relating to our communities in such a way builds stronger and more supportive friendships, and from there, communities. Through spiritual enlightenment and empowerment the role we play, no matter how great or small in the world around us is a valuable and significant one.

This inner experience of the source within, helping us unite and become strong, to become more caring and loving towards each other, to help us experience that love is the key to life is the only mindset that can save us from the insanity of the human ego. The ego that is destroying the planet in an ongoing crazed process of demanding and needing more than we actually need. The more love we put into our lives the better it will become because love alone can relinquish the ego in the greater reality of itself.

Because God is everything nurturing the planet is to nurture that indwelling flame of spirit and seeing it grow stronger by the day. Securing its survival for future generations and not exploiting it for financial gain is a process not driven by fear but inspired by love.

This is not to suggest that we are not able to use the planets resources, but to say that we should be also be helping with the regeneration of those resources.

We can take our cue from the indigenous peoples who reside in our tropical rainforests. They do not devastate vast tracts of mother earth for the materials they need to build their homes and communities. They pay careful attention to what they take from where in order to allow the regeneration of their environment so that the needs of future generations will be met.

As individuals everyone has a part to play in this rescuing of our planet through a deep and powerful shift within that inspires us to nurture the planet through love. The love of both the incredible nature around us as well as the love of each other as expressions of the same indwelling source within. We all have unique skills and qualities that can help create a better world and more loving world if we all unite as one. This cannot succeed on a political or organisational level until that oneness of purpose is realised firstly as a oneness of being that we all share and are a part of. Only then can we eliminate war, famine, poverty, social injustice and much, much more.

I believe that this inner shift is being shared by many around the globe.

At this point it might all seem a strange perspective coming from someone who has connections to both spirit guides and angels talking about difficulties with the concept of God.

Surely there must have been some communication with such beings about who or what God is! The answer to this is no, and I believe the reason for this is because we have the freedom of choice to build our own understanding of what God is. As a medium I see my guides and angels as messengers who work with and through me from a platform of unconditional love passing on their wisdom, love, and guidance to help us all. Through their guidance and inspiration we achieve a joyful and loving life, for they work from the source and are equally connected to us, as we to them. We come from source and we return to it, so by connecting to each other and to the planet on this level there really is very little we are unable to achieve. In God there is no division, but an all powerful unity of Love and the purposes of love. It is in this unity that the greatest strength imaginable arises, the strength to relinquish the darkness andembrace the light.

Is loneliness a missed opportunity? And what kind of positive opportunity can anything with such negative overtones present to us?

The experience of loneliness inevitably lead us to feeling a wide range of emotions and mental states we can live without. Isolation, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and a lack of motivation are all possible once we feel cut off and separated from our fellow man or woman. It can make us feel like the light that shines within is just a flicker and no more. This is an experience that a large number of people around the globe go through at some point in their lives. Yet with understanding we can positively use a time such as this; to develop the very qualities that deliver us from the negativity it would otherwise inflict upon our minds and hearts. It doesn’t have to be all bad.

Being on our own can be one of the most useful opportunities to us and one not often found in the social and professional blur of modern life. We have to use rather than resent it. A period of quiet contemplation to re-evaluate our life and what changes would be beneficial to make require a certain objectivity. The mountain is seen clearer from the plain. We cannot see the mountain in its proper perspective at all when our noses are within six inches from it! This time that is apart and separated from the busyness holds great potential for self discovery, not to mention working through the issues that are holding us back from experiencing life fully. We can look at attaining new skills to reflect our deeper aims and aspirations and improve or change our work or career as a direct result from sitting in reflection and contemplation. When such a perspective arises, when we can see and appreciate the mountain as a whole, what is truly important to us becomes clear. We can reflect on the highs and lows of our past, taking the highs and projecting them onto our future, helping to create the life that we really desire and deserve.

Such a perspective, a gift of a quiet (but meaningful) journey of self discovery is an invaluable experience in the face of all the pressures a modern life inflicts upon us. It is all too easy to lose the sense of who we are through the pressures of work, life situations and those negative experiences we nearly all go through. A time that can be utilised to explore in detail your needs and what you want to achieve is so often rare and, when it does come, is often resented and resisted as ‘lonely’. In these times, realise their value and attend to your inner needs and perspectives. In the opportunity before you to visualise and create your new life, the one that can begin once the time of ‘apartness’ is over, be very descriptive – the more detailed the better.

Look also what help or guidance there is available to you. The shelves of many bookshops have excellent guides and resources that can enrich and empower any period of reflection and withdrawal. Don’t forget what interests you already have, or a social activity that was important to you but may have fallen by the wayside as you became more and more wrapped up in what is now fading from your present experience. All of this can become a life changing opportunity. It’s your life, and the more you put in the more you get from it. This is as true on a deeply personal developmental level as in business or relationships.

In a period of reflection and the perspective it brings we can see how much we have lived our lives to the expectations and needs of others, or of society. Are you really living the life you want or have you been pandering to the wants of others?

Remember your life and your goals are just as important as those of others. To reach your sense of fulfilment is important and not as selfish as some would have us believe. A fulfilled person is of far more help and use to others than someone who is conflicted and uncertain. On reflection, are you leading the life you want, or is it what others want you to believe it should be? So long as your desired life does not harm or prevent others close to you from realizing their dreams and aspirations then it’s OK to change and transform. Give yourself that permission, be adventurous. Challenge convention and make the life you want as magical and mysterious as you want it to be.

As mentioned, there are many resources for the intrepid inner voyager. Meditation is one such tool that can be incredibly useful in tapping in to your inner needs and fulfilling them. Don’t be put off by thinking that meditation is too difficult. Many people who say they can’t visualise have no trouble visualising what they would like for Christmas! Meditate on the things you want and the journey towards that which makes you feel happy. Putting your heart and soul into meditation changes the energy you give to the world and the law of attraction will manifest from that new, fresh energy new, fresh situations and experiences. But a word of caution, if I may. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF INTO DEBT thinking that the universe can tidy up after you. This isn’t the law of attraction, rather it is the nature of irresponsibility. In re-aligning your purpose and your life in reflection and contemplation, the goal is to re-engage with life, becoming more aware of the opportunities that become available to you as you change and develop. Work with the heightened inner intuition that will grow within you as you begin to become more aware of who you are, and the life that you want to lead.

We all have spirit guides and angels. They draw close and offer love and guidance, they also support us whenever we ask for help. To build an awareness of them is not difficult – all you have to do is find an awareness circle in your area and ask to join it. They are usually financially inexpensive and spiritually rewarding. Development circles can be most beneficial in helping you build on your inner intuition, meditation techniques and much, much more. They are a great way of meeting new people and making friendships that accentuate the positive changes you are both seeking to make and have already made. Circles encourage an open minded exploration of life and the universe from many different perspectives. This frees us from the assumptions and limitations of our past, releasing our unhappy conditioning giving us a new beginning. Spiritual awareness circles can give us the opportunity to feel and experience the love that embraces us with such warmth that it comforts the most troubled mind. They may also offer an opportunity to view life in a completely different light.

If I have any advice to anyone feeling alone and apart is to sit with pen and paper and reflect on the life you would rather be leading. Putting those reflections on paper may change from week to week but that’s OK, you are writing the outlines of what it is you want from your life as a whole. Then begin to fill in the details and be as explicit as you can. This is an opportunity for you to write the next chapter of your life; an opportunity to work through any issues from past experiences and find the positives from them. Most importantly, see that you have grown from facing them and that you are a much stronger person than you once were. All change begins from the inside. Change your beliefs about yourself and find that changes happen around you because you have changed the energy that you are giving off. You will begin to attract your desires.

From a negative experience or episode in ones life, positive life-altering opportunities can come from that through the process of reflection, self-exploration and self-development. This can also be guided into spiritual enlightenment as well, if that’s what you wish. Investing in yourself can be so very beneficial and will help raise your self-confidence/esteem which is often lacking when we see ourselves as alone and cut off. Working on our inner needs and realising how you can meet them helps us to motivate ourselves more fully, coming as it does from an authentic place deep inside of you rather than keeping up appearances for the sake of others! In using contemplation and reflection we can discover how to allow the light that shines within burn more brightly as we re-enter the great arena of life, with clarity and renewed purpose.

Our guides and angels embrace us in unconditional love, the purest love there is. To be touched with this love is a truly magical experience and one I cherish each time I have the privilege of working with them.

As parents we shower our children with unconditional love, even though their behaviour can be challenging at times. But to demonstrate this love is the most beneficial experience in their upbringing.

I have met many people on my journey through life, but only a very few have radiated love from their whole being. I have had the privilege to meet one such person very recently, and its these people you would least expect to be radiating love at all, such are the challenges they have before them. They will always have a special place in my heart for who they are despite their experiences. The experience of love can be both pleasurable and emotionally painful. Some experiences in life can lead us to placing barriers around us which in turn can block our ability not only to give love but to receive and experience it fully. This leads to an an empty void within, and can leave us on the never-ending treadmill chasing elusive dreams and dealing with far more serious consequences if left and not dealt with.

Love is like a small seed buried deep within and, if allowed to grow and flourish, you radiate like the brightest beacon. The real you shines love! This energy pouring from every pore in your body and connecting to the love energy in the universe brings us back to wholeness, the oneness with everything and everyone. The energy you are pushing out returns ten fold bringing back to you, carrying all that your heart desires. This is metaphysics in action. The only thing that will block this action is you, so keeping the free flow of love open in your heart and mind is the single most beneficial act in helping us to achieve a fulfilling life.

Loving yourself is the first step in the chain, and fundamental in our development of who we can become. Love nourishes our self-esteem and motivates us to succeed in all we do. Love is the driving force of life itself, it is central to a healthy life and a healthy world. This isn’t what certain others would like us to believe. Love is the most vital ingredient when trying to get any venture off the ground, it builds up from the heart and because like attracts like, can lead you to the success you desire. Relationships can often be challenging but could these challenges be of our own making by placing barriers before love? Barriers in the form of perceptions like age or good looks. True love has no barriers, so broaden your horizons. Love may well be found in the most unlikely places and people. \If we can take some time out and look deeper we can often be surprised.

Love really is the key to a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life, opening you to the magic and mystery of this great universe. Love helps us to see beyond the regular and mundane experience, and allows the free flow of this energy into every aspect of our lives. Love will inevitably enhance your life and, through like attracting like, help you bring about the changes you need to achieve a loving and fulfilling life, If you have any experiences or observations about love, please share! I would love to hear them.

Philosophy is viewed as a study of the bare bones of human thought. Inevitably images of book after book, treatise after treatise come to mind. But we can move towards a natural philosophy, one that arises naturally as a part of our own observations of our feelings and thoughts. The foundation of this ‘unlearnt’ philosophy is mindfulness. Some people take a walk in the countryside either to help clear their mind or to ponder over an issue or problem their trying to solve. But how many of us have considered the thought that a walk in the countryside could help us in a philosophical way, a way that can help us find and apply truth in our lives? The path taken through open country could in fact help you more than you may think; just the simple act of being leaving an environment that restricts your thought and feelings with the inevitable pressures of everyday life is inherently valuable.

More importantly is that the path you walk and your responses to the many obstacles that may be on it can help you negotiate the obstacles and challenges you may be facing in your life. Being mindful of the way you walk, think and move in a peaceful tranquil setting brings you into the present moment with an ease not always possible in the midst of an urban experience. This connection to present moment awareness through mindfulness in our countryside walks helps us to find, and maintain, a balance and a perspective on our problems and issues. It is hard to see clearly with a mind full of thoughts that are driven by our hectic and distracting lives. Mindful walking in a peaceful environment connects us to a clarity and an objective perspective that allows truly creative insights to manifest.

Not all country paths are smooth and flat! Mostly they become rough and challenging and it’s these that could offer the best help. Simply observe the path you’re walking on and how careful you may need to be to avoid twisting an ankle or falling flat on your face.

This is an opportunity to reflect that life is a path, and our path through life is not always flat and smooth. Even little things can create the opportunity for us to fall flat on our faces if we’re not observant and aware of the problem from a calm, centred point rather than from a busy mind. Can we stop and ask ourselves how certain we are that our chosen path leads to our desired destination? Are we sure that the destination is somewhere that can bring the fulfilment we deserve? Has it truly the potential to bring happiness?

Our paths in the countryside often have many other paths that lead from it. Are they diversions, or are they opportunities to think and feel in new and rewarding ways? We are so goal-fixated we often forget to notice the journey, let alone the potential of the options that we pass by. In retrospect we all have times where we wonder how different things might be if we had chosen another path, another way of doing things when we had the opportunity to do so. In a goal obsessed march through the country we will miss the many other paths that exist. Likewise in life, these alternative paths, these options can only be seen when we let go of our obsession with a future goal and become mindful of what, simply, is. This is to truly see what our surroundings are and all the potential in them. We move from a dream of how life is going to be when we attain our goal (and from the anxiety when we experience the pressures that drive us on) to a fresh, open space of being fully present in the moment.

We have all encountered a large and challenging obstacle on our walks at one time or other. Perhaps a five bar gate covered in barbed wire presents itself in your way! It is so often valuable to reflect on your thoughts and observations you’re making to allow a safe negotiation of this obstruction. If you are with your family on this walk, how are your children responding to the walk and this obstruction? Are they excited and viewing it as an adventure? Are they taking your lead on how to react to obstacles? How do you view your own path in your life, and especially how do you view yourself when faced with obstacles and challenges? Is it with the same enthusiasm and excitement as your children? Or are you all finding that the walk has become a little boring and lacking in something? Do you feel that your life also reflects this? If so what is it that is wrong with it and what can you do to change it?

Make a note of these thoughts and feelings and use them for the safe transition of those large challenges you have in your own life. Having this awareness could help you and save a lot of heartache and pain!

This is only a philosophical musing but one that has aided me many time throughout my life, allowing the mind to open. From there the opportunity arises to explore things from many different directions instead of the issue just going around and around in circles with no forward movement at all. Going around in circles offers no resolution. Being aware of our thoughts and actions in practical situations can help usin the choices we may have to make during the course of our lives. Smoother transitions to new chapters are always possible, and mindfulness is a great help in achieving them.

Thank you for reading these posts and I hope you have been able to take something helpful from them.

It will open doors within that you were unaware of and will open your mind so to the wonders of this universe in which we reside. The spiritual journey is an empowering journey through an empowering universe. You are a unique individual, able to find the switch deep within you that can illuminate your whole being. You have the right to build your own perception of what you feel you are here for, you do not have to follow a particular doctrine or faith, but you can encompass all if you wish to. The journey grants us faith in ourselves, this includes being happy with who you are, because what you are is of such beauty and power. Whether or not you wish to embark on this journey, the choice will always be yours to make and none other.

There are many examples of what one may consider to be demonstrations of spirituality. Expressions of compassionate humanity, acts that are loving and caring, demonstrations of these by individuals, groups and organisations through their efforts to enhance the lives of those less fortunate are all expressions of spirituality. You too have been a contributor through donations you have made, either through giving your time to someone who needed you, or through placing a donation of money to enable others to care, or even by a single act of kindness.

Spirituality for some may not encompass connecting to their guides, their angels, or progressing to mediumship. For some will feel it important to further develop their knowledge of spiritual philosophies in order to develop their compassionate humanity, their connection to the universe and the world they live in. Looking beyond the behaviours and dysfunctions of others to see the person within is a powerful gift, as is the aspiration to heal and teach on many different levels. Spirituality encompasses all these and more. Each expression is an integral aspect of the spiritual journey for that individual.

There are many doors for you to explore once you have begun your journey into enlightenment. Doors that you were once unable to see become visible as you clear the mists of unknowing, opening up to the potential of the energy around you. Learning to work with it, and with the love that is continually being offered you at all times, in all situations reveals all the many facets of life and spirituality that you can explore.

Being open to life and the universe has brought me spiritual riches from many different cultures and belief systems from around the world. Watching people closely and honing my listening skills have added to this process. Together with the philosophy attained through the many challenges of life these have been, and still are, the best tools I have to help me formulate the many facets of my spirituality. They enable me, through my experiences, to continue to develop and grow both personally and spiritually with the best experiences yet to come. I embark on this journey of sharing the knowledge and experiences I have acquired through my journey with all who wish to join me. You will receive a warm welcome, that I promise you.

Our Guides love for us is so strong and their desire to help us live a fulfilling and meaningful life is unshakable. However it’s important to remember we still have freedom of choice, that it’s up to us whether or not we open up to spirit communication and accept their help.

One of the methods of communication commonly used by our spirit guides and angels is your inner intuition. We can feel drawn to certain individuals, books, places and anything else that feels relevant. These resources offer us the assistance we may need to help us achieve our goal, that of living our lives to the full.

How many times have we prayed for help and felt no-one is listening? In fact there are those who listen, but it is us who fail to listen, not realising that prayer is a two way street and we are required to be still, drop down into our hearts and be open. What gets in the way of that? The stress of the situations we find ourselves in are a barrier to our spirit communication on such a deep level. Therefore the primary step we need to take is to learn to be at peace. In the practice and techniques of Spiritualism (and any other mystic tradition) there are clear and simple meditation instructions that can be easily followed. Firstly comes the protection exercises, this creates a space where we can remain undisturbed and focused on the work at hand.

Finding a little time to do even this on a daily basis will give you a space where peace and contemplation are but a step away. Without this initial practice then we walk our path with a barrier of compulsive and incessant thoughts and worries between us and listening to Spirit.

Tools and aids to contemplation are available through the useful links page on this site as well as on the ‘about meditation’ page under ‘information’ on the main menu. Which ever way you choose, patience will be key. Remember that the answer can be given you in the most unexpected ways, often between our meditations and contemplations. But have faith, inspiration will come.

It is said that those we meet during our life we meet for a reason. It could be that we are drawn to them because they have something to impart to us. This gift could manifest as skills or abilities that could help us in some way. In fact help can come from many different directions, some direct and some indirect, so being open to all possibilities is a vital tool to be used with inner intuition. Over time this practice has helped considerably me, in some cases iy has actually saved me time and money!

Many people around the world have had powerful, intuitive moments. For some it has altered the direction of their lives for the better. Acting on gut instinct, or from an inner knowing, intuition has become a very important aspect of their lives, and invariably they seek to improve and development it.

Awareness of your own awareness in the calm atmosphere of your protective circle will help in developing inner intuition, as it is this open, gentle and non-localised space that intuition both taps into and is a part of. From this space anything becomes possible. We can sense intuitively the opportunities hidden in our circumstances to draw closer to the voice and guidance of Spirit. The connection we have with our own spirit guides and angels is strengthened, and from that link we are directed to act in so many ways for our own advancement and for the well-being of others. Once this link has been made the benefits of listening to our inner intuition and the voice of Spirit always outweighs the consequences of not listening.

I would be really interested in hearing your views and opinions about the use and practice of spirit communication. I am more than happy to listen, discuss and learn!

Change and personal development is a necessary process of life, for without change we do not progress, and life cannot remain static.

And change is upon this planet and will affect us all. We can either embrace it and move forward and welcome the new opportunities that will be created as a result, or fight it and stand still. The choice will be yours.

When change enters our life it is often accompanied by disruption. In the case of the changes that are coming, the disruption may be a lot bigger because it will affect the whole world, but I believe it will bring a better and fairer world for all.

Some people actively seek change. They find that they are in a dead end job and wish to change it for something better. They may find they’re in a relationship that’s going nowhere. Some are fed up of the monotony of their own lives. But in order to make those type of changes one has to be aware of what it is they want from their lives. Whenever change has entered my life it has always been for the better, even though I may not have seen it at the time, but on reflection it has served me well.

Reflect back over your life at the periods when change came to you. Were they positive periods, did they leave you in a better place or position? Did they allow you to move on, what opportunities were opened as a result? Or were you left wishing the changes never happened? If it was the latter, then did you only reflect on what you lost, instead of what you could gain?

A belief in an afterlife has been around for as long as mankind. There is evidence from early cave paintings depicting spirit people and animals, to discoveries made by archaeologists examining burial sites stretching back to the iron age, where food and clothing had been placed in the graves for the dead to take with them to the other side. All this points to a belief and a practice in the spiritual journey.

There’s also evidence from the Pharaoh dynasty, where kings were buried with most of their belongings to take with them to the spirit realms. Most religions speak of angels and an afterlife, so a belief in an afterlife has been around well before Christianity and any other religion.

The Native American Indians were great believers in spirit, particularly their ancestors. Various ceremonies were performed to make contact with the spirit world, where wisdom and advice was sought, and many stories where spirit helped when tribes were in great need. Belief in spirits is still very much a part of different cultures of indigenous peoples from around the globe today, and very importantly the connection between their spirituality and the earth, their respect for their environment in which they live, the respect and unconditional love they have for one another, and of course the spiritual beliefs of spiritualists today.

We are never really alone; we all have spirits walking with us through out our lives, and they talk to us quite often. But are we unaware of their communications, or just lack the knowledge of them? Why are they here? They are here to help guide and help us with our daily lives, and to help us spot the opportunities that are open to us, and facilitate the changes needed to create new opportunities.

For some change can be a daunting experience, but we need change, nothing can remain the same, and as one door closes another is waiting to open, and this is true to all aspects of our lives.

Walking with spirit is a wonderful experience. It has changed my life for the better, with some really truly magical moments that I will cherish forever. It has also strengthened my faith that those from spirit who walk with me will never let me down. Walking with spirit is to confidently progress upon a spiritual journey meant for you.

The more you put into your awareness and development, the more you get back. The spirits are there when we ask them to be, and their eagerness to help is unshakeable, so dedicated in their pursuit to help, and when they draw close the touch of love is immense.

Stress is the biggest block to communication with them. If we are stressed then we do not hear what they are trying say. Stress also blocks the awareness of their presence, but their willingness to help does not disappear; in fact they will do all they can to get through.

Spirit communicates in many different ways, it is not always thoughts dropped into our minds, or hearing voices. But to be really connected, you have to engage fully with life and the universe. Feelings also play an important part in communications, heightening your inner intuition listening to yourself, colour also, but don’t just see it, feel it too. The more relaxed you are the more you will see and hear. It could be that you are drawn to different things, people, books, even to overhear a conversation, all these things you may find give you the answer to some question you may have had. The repertoire spirit has to communicate with us is huge, so being open to all is very important.

With spiritual awareness and development come personal awareness and development, and with each experience life throws at you it’s an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth, an opportunity to know yourself more. This could reveal hidden talents or skills you were unaware of. It’s also important to try and look to the positives of all experiences whether good ones or bad. They are all opportunities for growth, and we do in fact grow stronger.

Being spiritual does not mean you have to be religious. Spirituality is an individual choice and philosophy. For me it’s the connection I have with the universe and all that resides within, whether human or animal, and that everything has a right to life, and to respect all living things, something that has slowly been eroding over my lifetime.

Much speculation about 2012 is available throughout the world, and there are many websites with differing prophecies. There is no doubt that there are changes being made to lots of different aspects of our daily lives, and in particular with the financial status of the globe. These changes will affect us all, greed being the main issue in creating the mess we find ourselves in today (this is my opinion) but I believe this opinion could be shared by many.

I believe that with the changes that will take place over the next few years, there will be the creation of new opportunities, so please do not dwell on the negatives, but rather look to your creative side and look for those opportunities that are right for you. These could lead you to a better and brighter future, doing more through the aspects of love, rather than for financial or material gain. Love is the key for us all moving forward from this mess.

More and more people are beginning to see that changing the things around them are not helping to make the changes they really want within. Changing the wallpaper, or the car, or furnishings, does not always change how we feel. It could just lead to more stress because of the cost. Being more aware of what it is that makes us happy and feel fulfilled is a good starting point to finding happiness. This could be a prime moment to begin to look at what we can do to help fulfil our goals and aspirations – perhaps look at further education, or further training, anything that helps you to achieve the better prospect of doing what you would prefer to be doing rather than having to continue in the same monotonous way.

Often with great change, disruption precedes it. Reflect on your own life for a second, when major changes have occurred in your life. How much chaos did you feel at the time, and how much did it benefit you? I guess it’s more than you think, so look forward to a more positive future, I am sure it will be.
