Spirit Guides are spiritual beings that are with us through out our lives. All of us who do not have a one on one connection with them, or for even those of us who do, we all often wonder what they look like and who they are.  Spirit Guides help to guide us during good times and bad.  We all have more then one guide, so the excitement is seeing who is around you at this moment in time.

Spirit Guides come in all shapes and sizes. From animals, to human form to beams of light. The form that your Guide takes expresses events and lessons in your life. So if your Guide comes through as a fish or a bug of some kind, they all have a special meaning and message. Even a color of light has a meaning behind it. If your Guide is a fox, a fox is a shape shiftier which means that it is time for change and this Guide is present to help you with your transformation.

Guide drawings are like your own personal Oracle card. Oracle cards hold symbols for us to interpret, the symbolism on the guide drawing is personal just for you. Your Guide is directing Amber in how they want to be seen and how you can utilize their help.

Pendulums are are great tool to use when doing any psychic or intuitive type of work. From looking for lost items to answering questions, these beautiful and unique items work for everyone.

The way that a pendulum works is that it is able to tap into your higher self. The key is to let go and see how your pendulum is going to work for you.

First off you need to find one that you feel fits you. Not all pendulums will “jive” with your higher self. Once you find one that you like, it is good to cleanse it. The way to do this is to lay it out on a windowsill in the sunlight or even better yet, lay it out when there is a full moon. But any kind of moonlight works. You can also use sea salt, smoke from certain kinds of incense or even sage smoke.

Once you have cleared you pendulum of other peoples energy, it is ready to use.

Hold the top of the pendulum so that it hangs about 4 or 6 inches from the table. You can do this standing as well. You will want to try to hold it as straight as possible. Now here is where the fun comes in! Ask your pendulum to show you “YES”. You will need to be patient. Within 10-60 seconds your pendulum will start to move. However it moves, it will ALWAYS move that way when giving you a YES answer. Most likely it will move in either a clockwise, counterclockwise, or back and forth motion. Next you will want to ask it to show you “No”. Then ask for “maybe” or “unknown”.

When I started to learn how to use a pendulum, I read that counter clockwise meant NO, but for me it means Yes. For one of our readers at Illuminate Your Spirit, when she asks a questions and the answer is NO, it will stand still.

When asking a question you will want to be very direct and to the point. “Will Sherry have a baby girl?” is a good way to ask. I have also seen pendulums used with maps to find locations of things and people.

You can also use them to find out which chakra is out of balance as well.

So as you can see there are many ways you can use this fun tool.

INTRO TO WICCA With Courtney

This is a six week course that helps create a greater understanding of this spiritual path and also helps those who want to pursue this path by offering means of learning more about it and offering an environment for like minded people.
