SUCCESS IN BUSINESS THROUGH FAITH

There are many factors that can contribute to success in business, including having a clear and compelling vision, setting well-defined goals and strategies, understanding and meeting customer needs, building and maintaining strong relationships, and effectively managing resources and operations. Additionally, staying up to date on industry trends and developments, being adaptable and responsive to changes in the market, and continuously seeking to improve and innovate can also help a business succeed. It's also important to have a strong sense of ethics and integrity, and to operate in a socially responsible and sustainable manner. Building a strong team and fostering a positive corporate culture can also be important for success.

Incorporating faith in business can take many forms, depending on an individual's beliefs and the nature of their business. Some ways to incorporate faith into business practices include:

Aligning business decisions with moral and ethical principles such as honesty, fairness, and compassion, which are often taught in many religions.
Seeking guidance and wisdom through prayer or other spiritual practices.
Incorporating religious or spiritual teachings into business practices, such as the Golden Rule ("treat others as you would like to be treated")
Giving back to the community and helping those in need, which can be seen as a way to fulfill religious obligations.

It's important to note that while religious principles may guide your personal and professional choices, it's essential to respect the diversity of beliefs and to not impose your own beliefs on others.

It is through christian songs that you feel comforted and assured of God's promise of salvation.

Painful and challenging times might drag us down, but remain hopeful in Him, for he will save us from anything.

It's a useful tool for reflection this Holy week, especially that I am from Cagayan de Oro City and can't get to attend Bo Sanchez's activities in Manila. Someday, I will be able to do so, but for now, I hope I can follow the 7 Days of Prayer and reflect by myself.

WHO WANTS THIS 20$ BILL?

A well-known speaker started off his seminar holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it...?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We may feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

You are special-Don't EVER forget it." If you do not pass this on, you may never know the lives it touches, the hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it may bring. Count your blessings, not your problems.

GROCERY LIST MIRACLE

SPECIAL GROCERY LIST Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food. John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once. Visualizing the family needs, she said: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.'
John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store. Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two.

The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'Do you have a grocery list?' Louise replied, 'Yes sir.' 'O.K' he said, 'put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries..' Louise hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it.

She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed. The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down. The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'

The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more. The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement. It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said: 'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'

The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence. Louise thanked him and left the store.... The other customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said; 'It was worth every penny of it. Only God Knows how much a prayer weighs..'

JOHN 3:16

John 3:16- I don't understand it.

A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers.

He walked up to a policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and its awful cold in there for tonight. ?Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay." The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "You go down the street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they come out the door you just say John 3:16 and they will let you in."

So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a lady answered. He looked up and said, "John 3:16." The lady said, "Come on in, Son." She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went off. The boy sat there for a while and thought to himself: John 3:16..

I don't understand it, but it sure makes a cold boy warm. Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry?" He said, "Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I guess I could stand a little bit of food," The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn't eat any more. Then he thought to himself: John 3:16... Boy, I sure don't understand it but it sure makes a hungry boy full. She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm water, and he sat there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he thought to himself: John 3:16 ... I sure don't understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy clean. You know, I've not had a bath, a real bath, in my whole life. The only bath I ever had was when I stood in front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out. The lady came in and got him. She took him to a room, tucked him into a big old feather bed, pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned out the lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked out the window at the snow coming down on that cold night, he thought to himself: John 3:16 ..

I don't understand it but it sure makes a tired boy rest. The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to that same big table full of food. After he ate, she took him back to that same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked up a big old Bible. She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face. "Do you understand John 3:16?" she asked gently. He replied, "No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the policeman told me to use it," She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain to him about Jesus. Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave his heart and life to Jesus. He sat there and thought: John 3:16 ? don't understand it, but it sure makes a lost boy feel safe. You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either, how God was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how Jesus would agree to do such a thing.

I don't understand the agony of the Father and every angel in heaven as they watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't understand the intense love for ME that kept Jesus on the cross till the end.

I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth living.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Hello God, I called tonight
To talk a little while
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial.

*7 Principles of the Eagle*

Principle 1
Eagles fly alone at high altitude and not with sparrows or with other small
birds. No other bird can go to the height of the eagle. They stay away from
sparrows and ravens. Eagles fly with eagles.

Principle 2
Eagles have strong vision. They have the ability to focus on something up to
five kilometers away. When an eagle sites his prey, he narrows his focus on
it and sets out to get it.No matter what the obstacle, the eagle will not
move his focus from the prey until he grabs it. Have a vision and remain
focused no matter what the obstacle and you will succeed.

Principle 3
Eagles do not eat dead things. They feed only on fresh prey. Vultures eat
dead animals, but eagles will not. Be careful with what you feed your eyes
and ears with, especially in movies and on TV. Steer clear of outdated and
old information. Always do your research well.

Principle 4
Eagles love the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle
uses the storm's winds to lift it higher. Once it finds the wing of the
storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift him above the clouds. This
gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the
meantime all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees.
We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers relish
challenges and use them profitably.

Principle 5
The Eagle tests before it trusts. When a female eagle meets a male and they
want to mate, she flies down to earth with the male pursuing her and she
picks a twig. She flies back into the air with the male pursuing her. Once
she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the
ground and watches it as it falls. The male chases after the twig. The
faster It falls, the faster he chases it. He has to catch it before it falls to the
ground. He then brings it back to the female eagle. The female eagle grabs
the twig and flies to a higher altitude and then drops the twig for the male to
chase. This goes on for hours, with the height increasing until the female
eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art
of catching the twig which shows commitment. Then and only then, will she
allow him to mate with her. Whether in private life or in business, one
should test commitment of people intended for partnership.

Principle 6
When ready to lay eggs, the female and male eagle identify a place very high
on a cliff where no predators can reach. The male flies to earth and picks
thorns and lays them on the crevice of the cliff, then flies to earth again
to collect twigs which he lays in the intended nest. He flies
back to earth and picks thorns laying them on top of the twigs. He flies
back to earth and picks soft grass to cover the thorns. When this first
layering is complete the male eagle runs back to earth and picks more
thorns, lays them on the nest; runs back to get grass to lay it on top of
the thorns, then plucks his feathers to complete the nest. The thorns on the
outside of the nest protect it from possible intruders. Both male and female
eagles participate in raising the eagle family. She lays the eggs and protects
them; he builds the nest and hunts. During the time of training the young ones
to fly, the mother eagle throws the eaglets out of the nest. Because they are
scared, they jump into the nest again. Next, she throws them out and then takes
off the soft layers of the nest, leaving the thorns bare. When the scared eaglets
again jump into the nest, they are pricked by thorns. Shrieking and bleeding
they jump out again this time wondering why the mother and father who love
them so much are torturing them. Next, mother eagle pushes them off the cliff
into the air. As they shriek in fear, father eagle flies out and catches them up
on his back before they fall and brings them back to the cliff. This goes on for
sometime until they start flapping their wings. They get excited at this new
found knowledge that they can fly. The preparation of the nest teaches us to
prepare for changes; The preparation for the family teaches us that active
participation of both partners leads to success; being pricked by the thorns
tells us that sometimes being too comfortable where we are may result into
our not experiencing life, not progressing and not learning at all. The thorns of
life come to teach us that we need to grow, get out of the nest and live on.
We may not know it but the seemingly comfortable and safe haven may have
thorns. The people who love us do not let us languish in sloth but push us
hard to grow and prosper. Even in their seemingly bad actions they have good
intentions for us.

Principle 7
When an Eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as
fast as he should. When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a
place far away in the rocks. While there, he plucks out every feather on his
body until he is completely bare. He stays in this hiding place until he has
grown new feathers, then he can come out. We occasionally need to shed off
old habits & items that burden us without adding to our lives.
