When a threat or blackmail is useless

🤣

Usually, “emotional blackmail” works when a relationship is not totally commercial.

But when a guy declares openly “I have NOTHING to lose”???? 🤔( Like jihadis? 🙏)

I faced such a guy once. That incident enriched me with the rarest_of_rare kinds of tools, which I used 3 decades later, when I volunteered to help freshers in a spiritual program.

My readers are anonymous to me 🙏. I can only request (blackmail is superfluous) “please tell your own minds, the author has requested to treat the incident as bogus/fictitious, and therefore don't dig deep. Instead look for any value addition based concepts”

Story:

A notorious guy got transferred to my location of workplace. The union_boss warned me “PSN, I apologise. I bargained for a lesser punishment instead of dismissal, since his family is dependent. Please manage. I named your office, because you are more united”( Damn, I thought, unity is to be punished like this😡)

This guy “D” belongs to the type “ I have nothing to lose”.

I wasn't that type 🙏… I am able to visualise a situation where “I am desperate to lose something 🙏” (loose motions, and the 4 toilets are engaged. I can't retain the something i want to lose, loose motions 🙏).

My boss was disturbed. His power and authority won't work on this guy.

He asked me to handle: ”psn, he's your union_member. Handle him”

I stipulated a “condition” ( like the first ever stenographer, Ganesh did to Vyasa, who dictated Mahabharata)... I told my boss “i I need your approval to assign whatever duty I like, to Mr D”... Boss said “okay, anyway he is not going to obey anyone 😜”

I told D “I am authorised to allot duty to you. You will sit on this stool, until I ask you to get up and do something. You are free to go for lunch, drinking water and to the toilet. But officially, sit there”

It worked 👍. He was overjoyed “Ah! Am I not a success! Zero work, yet pay is guaranteed “

3 others, who belonged to D’s cadre, started grumbling “we do even his share of work 😭”( not true. He was an extra person, not a replacement. But psychology works differently 🤣). I told the 3 “do you not trust me 100%!?.... And you continue to trust me, because it worked for years. Can't you invoke the same trust for just_3 more days 🙏,?😥”... They agreed to ignore him enjoying no_work 👍

4th day 😜

D was no exception to the subtle and totally internalised torture of doing nothing. He started squirming on the stool the whole day ( those 3 even satiated their sadism with a teaser “stool has thorns? Pricking your bottom? Like to park your bottom on another stool?” etc)

5th day he requested me to go to him (sitting on stool, until told) and said “UNBEARABLE for me. Please allow me to do some work 🙏”

I had no ill_will, enmity, hate or anything against him ( it's his physiological design to function his_way, and I am manufactured in my_way). But, my structural design is programmed to confine D to suit my colleagues. So I stipulated: “okay, but anything that threatens the peace of my class of staff, if you do… I invoke this power to assign you to sit quietly on stool”

He agreed readily.

He discovered the joy of teaming with the 3 unconditionally. Those 3, bitten by the memory of his notoriety, took care not to abuse his cooperation.

I got relocated soon after. But those 3 never wrote to me anything to complain against D.

Story over 🙏

I used this experience to help freshers to transcend their problems with sitting quietly ( meditation is torturous, if mind can't be quiet 😥)

A joke:

Until a century ago, a namboothiri is prohibited from saying “enough” or “a little more please” to the person serving food during a feast.

Reasons are very very deep 🙏. A modern mind is not compatible with the reasons if I spell it out 🙏 ( level of spiritual evolvement was high!)

But, our “N”namboothiri) in my joke, lived within this century 🙏. And a feast, where he was constrained to abide by this tradition.

A kid was serving a watery dish called “rasam”. Banana leaf is the eating plate. Tough to ‘hold’ rasam from flowing out of the leaf 😭

Kid is not a PhD in maths. Ratio and proportion is out of syllabus for the kid.

N used his palm to gather the rasam and gulped the excess. Kid thought “this guy is enjoying rasam 👍. My duty to serve him more 👍 ( ye dil maange more –rasam)”

It went on & on.

N cannot complain. Kid won't stop.

A golden opporChutney sprung up.

Kid enquired as a matter of social courtesy”Mr N, how many members in your household sir?”

When a mind is prohibited from complaining, intellect is ‘given’ a chance to try a solution 😜🙏

N, grabbed the opportunity and replied “If I manage to survive despite this unstoppable flow of rasam that I am forced to drink, there will be 19 members INCLUDING me, in my household 👍🙏”( kid got the message! Technically, N didn't say “enough of rasam for me😭”

In highly paid IT companies, no use complaining😭. And within 2 years, a software professional gets habituated to CopyPaste of codes😥. The innovation curve tends to become flat. Intellect is not ‘selective’ to function only when ‘complaint’ is useless. Attrition Zindabad 👍.

I too resorted to quitting before the age of superannuation 🙏. But not without the help of my pint_sized intellect 😜. It was ‘because' of my intellect 🤣. ( I have cleverly planted the details of that incident in another distant blog👍😜… Didn't want to get into trouble 🙏). I didn't complain, but decided to quit+retire. My wants and desires ranked lower than my needs🙏😭. So, forsaking the salary was more “practical”.

It's not wise to “supply” examples of intelligence rescuing in the situations where complaining is futile🙏

Why do we complain?

😂 I don't receive any complaints about my blogs. But I know, the complaints are numerous 😥. Just that, the mind of the reader is reluctant to voice it, ….

or even verbalise it within ( some confusions evade even a verbal form 😜. Once I even wrote on “unconventional confusions” 🙏😥😥).

Certain public offices do not ‘receive’ a complaint from the people who deal with those offices (Mostly government offices like municipality, judiciary, legislating netas, police, railway etc). Once a boss at my workplace told us(at a staff meeting) “we have a complaint box which remains empty, but please remember, that doesn't mean that our customers do not have complaints at all. It's because they are sure that complaining is a waste of time”. I think privately, personally and individually, I accidentally turned into a ‘private' complaint box for a good number of customers 😜. They privately confide in me ‘hey, can you help?’, and I ‘carve out’ time to help. It helped me to grow multiDimensional in my ability to ‘respond’.

A baby never complains until it can ‘speak' 😂. A little grown up, the kid complains only when it doesn't get what it likes, not what it ‘needs’. How beautiful life would have been if it were our needs that fill up the blanks of out lists of ‘wants’ instead of our likes and desires? (During a residential program for a months long spiritual bijness, other participants converted their ‘complaints’ into an anger at me 🤣. Because, I was visibly comfortable with what was given to me to ‘eat’😜. Complaints were in abundance, but no use vocalising it, when participation was voluntary 😭. “You asked for trouble, now don't complain” wala argument 🙏. My mind had ‘kindly consented’ to accept anything given to eat. The body loved it like never before 🙏. And when the body cooperates, spirituality sprouts fast 😜).

Is it the intellect which complains? (Stories of rags_to_riches via sheer hard work and non_parasitical productivity are a hard_evidence of non_complaining intellectuals who listen to their Intellect often, instead of their mind, and go ahead with the problem solving process. They turn each difficulty into an opportunity 😜).

Somewhere, in one of my earlier blogs, I tried to suggest we look at the ‘listener’ within us🙏. Either it is our mind or it is our intellect. Otherwise, there is no listener and the data doesn't even get processed inside the ‘physical' organ called brain 🙏. ( A subtle difference between a brain_dead guy and brain_switched off listener😜). Attentiveness and awareness, though exclusive mutually, depend on our mind and/or the intellect to become operational 😥.

When a mind listens, in exclusivity, there is a ‘scope’ for complaint. Intellect can only generate doubts and questions, which the mind might conveniently misinterpret as ‘complaints’. ( Typically, a student's lazy and comfort loving mind says to the intellect: “I will ask the teacher” and informs the teacher “m’am, I didn't understand your lecture, I am confused”. The teacher merely repeats it, probably stretching the sentences a little more 😜. Understanding gets compromised in that kid's mind with “not safe to complain AGAIN now!😥”. A rare few kids translate the query of their Intellect and the words sound more like a ‘doubt’, than a complain ‘didn’t understand’ and the teacher is armed with the ‘specifics’ in the student's doubts to address it with alternative approaches, using a compatible interface as an example, etc!).

Habitual lamenting, cribbing, nagging etc are from those who trust only their own mind which has promised to incessantly chase a better and better comfort zone 😜. I am reminded of a joke : a villager, visiting a metro_city for the first time, was advised “be careful, the shopkeeper can easily spot a villager, and will always quote twice the cost of anything you try to buy”. This guy was forced to buy an umbrella, but decided to be ‘clever + defensive”.

Shop wala : “this umbrella is for ₹100”

Villager : “too overpriced. I will offer only ₹50”

A lot of bargaining, and shopwala agrees for ₹50

Suddenly the villager : “I think its worth only ₹25” ( shopkeeper is “😡😡😡”. But he too listens to only his mind 🙏😭, not intellect. He decides to recover at least the ‘cost of time WASTED” 🙏 😥)

shopwala: “okay, ₹25… and get lost, taking the umbrella “

Villager ( inspired by ‘success’): “Then, why not settle it for ₹12.50 ?”

Shopwala is frustrated. ( His mind is full of negative emotions now🙏)

Shopwala: “oh please 😭… take it for FREE. But vanish from here p-l-e-a-s-e. 😭🙏”

That Villager is full of glee now 👍.

Villager: “Great sir 🙏. In that case, give me 2 👍”

Effect of teacher in maths

My guess is, maths permeates into all kinds of sciences that can sprout in a human brain.

Quite a few are unfortunate to ‘feel’ about themselves, as weak in maths, allergic to maths, not compatible with maths, etc.

It is ‘here’...that I noticed the ‘effect’ of ‘the’ teacher, which plays a significant role in bridging the ‘gap’ between such ill-fated kids/students & the fascinating game called ‘maths’ 🙏

Maths has been a ‘scoring’ subject for me🙏. Psychologically, I ought to be incompetent to advice those who are not ‘good friends’ of the fellow called maths 🙏

It so happened, a child girl ‘G’ was abandoned by a private tuition teacher in maths, and the full fee refunded to G’s mom😭. Two weeks to go for the annual exam of 3rd standard for G. Sure to fail in maths😥. The mom asked my sister to ‘somehow’ get the child to just_pass in maths, or else a whole Year goes waste! I volunteered to ‘try’.

I narrowed down to the ‘clinching’ chapter in maths, (again a ‘maths skill’ 😜, we may_say. Though this_skill of ‘narrowing down’ to the core of a problem helped me in solving legal issues 🙏).

In G’s case, identifying an improper fraction was a sure koschan/question 🙏. It adds 10 marks. This child manages about 25+ marks . Falls short of only 10 more marks(maximum).

I asked this girl to stand & listen to me (reason : I was personally+ privately not ‘comfortable’ that students ‘sit comfortably’ and listen, while teachers ‘stand’ all the 40 minutes to teach 😳. I can't ‘do’ anything about a Global phenomenon. But here it is one-to-one, and I am the ‘dictator’😜).

One more child(miss V) was watching the ‘fun’ ( she was in 2nd standard only).

I asked V to climb on my back when I knelt on the floor on my fours( knees and palms). I asked G to observe “a small girl sitting on me a huge fellow. Seems proper??” G nodded.

“Now see the Improper thing” said I.

V knelt down, and I ‘feigned’ like sitting on her back ( didn't want V to shout & distract😥). I explained to G “V is too small, and I am so big. She cannot bear my weight, isn't it?”( G understood easily)

Now, I connected the fresh visuals to numerals “big number sitting on a tiny number, is an improper fraction… “( i didn't have to”tell” about the ‘proper’ fraction. It is the residue once ‘improper’ test is done. Medical tests are automatically ‘negative’ if the improper_viruses are missing 😜).

A few more repeat-enactments… the visuals and terminology jargon ( numerator, denominator) became friends in G’s “brain” ( identifying bijness)

That girl G passed in maths🙏. Admitted into 4th. ( Sholay movie dialogue: basanti bhi khush, Chachi bhi khush🤣… mom & G both happy 😊. Zero tuition fees)

My love for maths bloomed due to my paternal uncle (next to my dad, among 5 younger brothers). He said “you might be having a problem with Rider number 5, chapter 4 of Hall & Stevens?”

( What's a Rider?.... Quote: In Euclidean geometry, a rider is a problem or theorem that "rides" on a primary theorem. It requires you to apply known axioms, definitions, and major theorems to prove a new geometric statement, calculate unknown values, or establish relationships between sides and angles)

We were walking on a busy road. My uncle quit school decades ago, and was only a matriculate! He still remembers the rider numbers? And can identify the ‘tough' for me? I am ‘lost’ into gaping at him 🙏. He added “Fool, try joining the points D to Q, and extend it to meet the line beyond it at point X. You will sight the “applicability” of the theorem.”( He didn't ‘bother' to verify the results of his hint/tip. Uncle trusted the quality of his blood in me via my grandpa 😜).

Back home, I narrated the incident to 2nd uncle who pooh poohed it 😥, saying “that’s nothing. This elder brother was exempted from doing maths homework, when he yelled the answer the moment that teacher wrote a “sum” on the blackboard. He solves maths_sum mentally 👍”. I dug up a little more stories about that maths_uncle. He created a ‘record’ by making the assistant busy to weigh ration items like rice 725 grams, sugar 285 grams, etc for buyers via ration card 😜 . The ‘normal' was, the billing clerk struggles to calculate manually, ration per head in a family card of 6 adults and 3 children 🙏😥. Full of fractions multiplication, in 1940 or so. Long queues, and the weighing guy waits infinitely for each ‘bill’. This uncle ‘heaps’ the cards with bills tucked in 😜. That's his skills at mental calculation of maths 🙏.

I had a teacher in maths who was an “M.A.” in maths, and taught to final year of M Sc in maths, but quit the college job, preferred to teach kids like me in 7th standard in a school, unmindful of ¼ salary of a school teacher, compared to a professor in college as HoD😥. ( His stories are awesome, and the s-p-e-e-d at which he calculated the affinity of students in maths stupified me 🙏. I still treat it as sheer luck that I was his favourite kid in my class 🙏. I realised only 4 decades later, that this genuis had a greater mastery in spirituality than maths🙏. His blessings were with mathematical precision unto me 😳. Ain't I unduly_fortunate👍??? While the bulk of us think that blessings are just a hollow gesture, placing palms on the head, nothing more than that, this Guru deploys a scientific phenomenon using the same’touch’, something that took me decades to learn & use 🙏🙏🙏).

A joke🙏 ( please read + forget 😥):

At my work place, clerks who are promoted from peons, are a little ‘looked-down-upon’ (merit criteria is diluted in the selection process). The efficiency is unaffected, only the psychological treatment is a sadism in few🙏. I found a ‘way’ to remedy this😜.

Promotee clerks love me unconditionally 🙏(due to my manufacturing defect—I remain small like them👍).

I gave these few clerks a “trick” . They jot_down the interest in each term deposit account for the half year, without any ‘worksheet' 😜. The checking officer needs to only ‘look' at the working (figure work) and a tick in red-ink, at the jotted interest sheet. My trick OBVIATED the worksheet 😜. ‘componding effect ‘ of interest, at monthly and quarterly rests, needs manual labour in those days, when calculators were primitive and its use was unfamiliar (1975-76).

Checking guys were ‘forced’ to recreate the worksheet, arrive at the final numeral(cumulative-interest) listed in the sheet, and tick in red ink 😂. The frustrating part was, zero errors😭. Otherwise, they can give a ‘written order’ to produce the damn worksheet 😜.

( Imagine the inner joy of those clerks, who had to merely CopyPaste a formula without even understanding the merits in it!!! I too chant super_power_sanskrit mantras like those promoted peons, blissfully ignorant of the scientific quantum physics employed in those vibes_of_chants 🙏🙏🙏😥. Am I not a peon in spiritual bijness? 😜🙏)

Now, my moment-of-frustration :

I was toying with a f(x) calculator at a shop. The sales guy said to me : “ not for you. Only engineering students know to use it”

Me : “🙂”( but boiling inside “😡. I carry the genes of my ancestors who never even NEEDED algebra as an INTERFACE in their_way of Vedic_maths. And you are telling me that this f(x) is a live wire of 11000 volts which I shouldn't touch??? Damn!”)

Why to seek Wisdom?

One of the stupid questions that popped up somewhere in my head, when I was a kid! (I was too small to know that there's a physical organ brain, and 2 other confusing entities, mind and me within 😥) : why should I ‘seek’ wisdom? ( The basis = there are elders all around me, all the time, to tell me what-next should I do 👍).

Question deepened as I grew a bit more 😥. Ravana seemed to be the most_knowlegeable guy in the history of mankind 😓. Not a single degree that he didn't acquire! An aircraft “pushpak” which never says “sorry, no seat available”. Music, literature, mysticism, magic, all forms of sciences(he placed the planets affecting horoscope of his son in its proper constellation at the child birth 😥…. much to the embarrassment of Saturn, the in-charge of past deeds!). Just that he failed only at Wisdom 😭. Oops! I felt “wisdom is not something that can be ‘sought’ as a boon!. Absence of wisdom is a ‘bane’ 😓🙏

Slowly, but surely, I inched closer to this fuzzy thing called ‘wisdom’( not that I ‘began’ gathering the damn thing 😜… Just getting familiar with it, to the possible extent 😭).

Concept_based thinking seemed a bit more practical (practicable, in daily life 🙏) than the vast thing called wisdom. Concept_based_Living posed a little difficulty ( mostly due to the hard_wired habit in my brain, which obeys a default_instruction of my_mind, about most of the routine life situations….. example: earthen dam popped up in some ancient brain, when the mind fell silent for a split second, and intellect dealt with the input data “hey! Lets do something about this flooding of river every rainy season, and stupidly watching people getting washed away from the banks of the river” . Wisdom in action??? Dunno yet 🙏😳).

I stopped chasing wisdom 🙏

But, something bigger posed a problem 😭…. Spiritual Wisdom 😭…. Till then, worldly_wisdom kept me just_wondering (duniyadaari, was a Hindi word for functional wisdom, I thought. Not quite sure, though😓).

Spirit within is itself elusive. Only then to ‘think' of making it any_wiser 😂.

One thing seemed too reassuring 👍. No spiritual master was ever branded/alleged/labelled/etc as an Unwise guy😜. Another astounding thing I noticed was that spiritually wise guys ( enlightened guys) were not always highly ‘knowledge_abled’. They posed no threat to the world record created+held by Ravana’s knowledge 😜👍… ( During 1993 or so, a Master in spirituality told us “enlightened guys have the Capability to ‘know’ whatever they Like_to_know….and instantly too !... That ‘instantly’ bijness intrigued me 🙏😓. Till i figured it out by myself 🙏, but I lack courage to spell it out, since I lack the experience 😓. No point, misleading a reader).

Muscle memory of the mind is like a virtual software, that resides in the cache memory of the organ brain ( my own ‘cooked up’ imagination 😓🙏… it seems to work inside me, without my consent 🙏). Sustained+ intense spiritual practices helped me to break the mind's habitual muscle memory effect that deterred my spiritual progress!

A very bizarre experience ( rather experiences) emerged as a result of such sustained practices 😂. A real example, which the readers are going to find it difficult to ‘gulp down their throat’ , was my experience with a tool, a guided meditation called ‘death’. I didn't know whether I was participating in the meditation or merely listening to the audio tape, after its ½ way through it 😥. As soon as it was over, I rediscovered that I was squatting crosslegged, eyes closed😂, not participating. Wisdom, intellect, mind or brain, or even the muscle memory of any of these didn't help me to ‘know' what I was doing 🙏😥…..

My fair guess is….. wisdom is a mere label(like the words ‘darkness, cold, humility etc), something to ‘refer’ to, when we are sensible enough to be at our peak levels of inclusiveness 🙏, and the level of wisdom being relative to our experience of inclusiveness 🙏. Concept based thinking, and living, seems to work for me at least. Awareness and alertness enhances the proximity to basic_life_concepts according to my intensity at it🙏.

See if it seems to find any appeal 👍.

Until I bump into something wiser, I am going to remain stuck to what works for me 😜.

Unofficial Vow

Traditionally a vow is understood as “a formal and serious promise (especially in a religious ceremony)”.

My ultiKhopdi (ultikhopdi is a Hindi word, more apt about me, to describe “quixotic” mind in English) … my quixotic mind is unable to come out of the ‘observation’ that a few guys around, when they ‘knowingly’ engage into doing something that is a negative act unto themselves, and they do it repetitively, I am irreversibly compelled to view it as a vow! 😭🙏. Like somebody habituated to utter nonsense and very routinely says a “sorry” soon after— is he under a ‘vow’ ? He knows “sorry” is NOT an apology 😜. It's like “sorry to hear that you failed in your examination 🙏”----nothing to apologise to the other🤣.

Eating ‘junk’ food, is like an unofficial vow “I shall do everything possible to make my doctor rich 🙏”

Manufacturing tension, hypertension, even about a situation where we know that it is an inevitable outcome of our own past routine, seems like a vow “I undertake to remain stupid, and therefore I need to create tension within 🙏. I have to avoid sensibility, which is unavoidable if I remain relaxed_while_ALERT 😭🙏🙏🙏”

I couldn't ‘contain’ it within myself, this stupid curiosity “are they under an unofficial vow, to patronise absence of intelligence?🤔”. How can I ask someone directly, “are you observing a Vow Sir? That you will avoid sensibility?” 😳. He would get angry! If my curiosity “gets the better of me” …. I try something like “why am I haunted by a negative thought that you are capable of doing this better????... I can see that you are already doing your best👍” Safe question.

I thought, let me compile my “silly questions” and take a safe_risk 😜 ( if it is safe, where is the risk?... I am trying ‘a’ stupidity😂). A blog “silly questions”...and a follow on… as “silly doubts”. Stupendous success👍. No responses to convince me that I am wrong about unofficial vow 😜.

Ideally, “quality questions” from a student is a sure hint for the teacher to know “this kid is a potential candidate for high speed growth of intelligence 🙏. But, the volume of syllabus is a deterrent to encourage questions in a modern classroom. Exam-Scores are proportional to expertise in ‘copypaste technology’👍. By_heart + vomit it in the examination ( again a ‘kind of unofficial vow by the fraternity of academia —” we shall not allow intellect to be nurtured”)

The widely misconstrued version of “freedom is a fundamental right” suits damn well, such unofficial vows of self_destruction. Nuclei families are shrinking further into living separately together, even within a pair of parents & just a kid 😜. No intrusion into others mindset 👍🙏

A very close friend asked me about my_experience with my_sweating ..

I wrote..

Sweat is a side bijness of the glands in the skin. Breathing is main bijness ( "skin suffocation" is a word that suggests 🙏)

Sweat is a "response" to some kind of unusual occurrence in physiology.

About 'cold sweat' google says : Physically, cold sweats (diaphoresis) are triggered by your body's fight-or-flight response or a drop in blood circulation. Common physical causes include:

• Heart problems: Heart attacks or coronary artery disease.

• Low blood sugar: Hypoglycemia from diabetes or fasting.

• Infections and fever: Flu, COVID-19, or severe sepsis.

• Shock or severe pain: Injury, trauma, or intense distress.

• Hormonal shifts: Menopause or hyperthyroidism

Normal sweat : we become physically active. ( Table tennis, basketball...easier to trigger sweating).. body is designed to 'be active' 🙏.... We love AC, couch, etc, so 'gadgets' find a good market 😜

Fan was a gadget which sponsored a 'hate' towards sweat 🙏.... ( Kids say "i am sweating" and elders switch on the fan. Subtle message= avoid tolerating sweat". Corollary=don't do anything that 'causes' sweating 👍..... Eventually, doctors 'love' this free advertising against sweating)

I wipe off the sweat, thereby, providing more opporChutney for sweating 👍. When sweating stops by itself, I decide if I need a water_wash. If a car dries 'clean' after a rain, water wash is redundant 🙏.

( I suspected 'oil' only because I found soap lathering less, while handwashing sweat_soaked clothes. Google said "yes👍". Mogambo khush hua, because, bad oil is drained out 👍)

Who am I to intrude into the freedom of others, who love to use make_up on skin?. If they find it better to retain the sweat below their 7 layered skin, it's a fundamental right now under Indian constitution 💪.

( I have strong 'evidence' as well 👍. Very rarely, I get any encouraging response to my experience I share🙏... Most of them pray for me silently "may he get_well_soon 😔"... I am grateful for both.)

I bagged easily, a few prizes during the mandatory celebration of Hindi_day in the Coimbatore regional office of my bank.

The Hindi officer was too happy to hear a very funny incident related to this book, and at once decided to ‘gift’ it to me, saying "it is lying UNTOUCHED in our mini_library. You will preserve it better 👍"

Incident:

While I was at Amravati, a new university was going to come up. "Vacancies" in the Hindi department are sure.

A close friend of mine decided to 'qualify' for a 'job' in that university. M.A. in Hindi 😥.

He decided to submit the dissertation on this book. All the 'good' professors declined to 'touch' this book if it was for an academic qualification. Tough.

This friend got a humble professor who said "only my signature as a guide/mentor to fill the blanks. Remember 👍"

That friend surprised me by saying "anyway I am going to slog alone by myself 😜. Why don't you give me company?"

"Just company" was okay by me, I thought.

But fate had something else in store for us.

Within a day, he said "help me with the deeper philosophical sense in the verses(he was asking for a vital organ_trandplant, the 'heart' of the poem 😓)"

I said "on one condition 🙏... I am not a born_Hindi guy. Tough words. You give me the translated version in the 'local' Hindi that I can understand. I will give you the deeper philosophical sense in my_Hindi. You re_translate it into literature_wala_Hindi and 'build' your dissertation stuff.

Two days of experience. He decided to gulp 2 pegs of desi daroo and then join me on a hilltop garden( around a huge water tank, catering drinking water to that town).... because, my words were escaping his mind, 😂. ( Chattering incessantly, his mind was engaged into….not listening quietly 🙏. Alcohol quietens, in a ‘measured’ dosage👍)

Daily 10 pm to 2 am... 50 days, winter nights of less than 5°C temperature. 😂

My reward was going to be 'put to use' only 10 years later, during my spiritual bijness ( programs I got enrolled into). The concepts got preserved like an engraved writing in my memory 🙏

Thanks to Shri Bachhan senior 🙏. He 'might' have even blessed me from somewhere high up there, above the skies😥🙏🙏🙏.

A unique experience of the 'book going through me'( usually, 'we' go through a book🙏. But I didn't 😜).

Upholding Sense of fairness

I never thought hitherto that I might dwell upon this aspect of our daily routine life 😂

As a kid, I was stupid to assume that “what is true for me, will be true for others also, when it is about a ‘sense of fairness’ 🙏

But, as I grew, the expectations met disappointment.

Today, are we not scared of hidden conditions, cost, etc??? 😜. Are they being ‘fair’ to the bare minimum trust level that can be reasonably expected?

The original software, with which we are born, is neither fair nor unfair. It's just an open and receptive mind looking for ‘what works’? Kids learn and quietly imbibe the traits related to ‘sense of fairness’. 😂

Parents ‘realise' their flaws only when they face some kind of emotional blackmail from their own children after they are grown up 😥. The fear of losing the child's bonds is ‘used’ as a threat to get something out of the parents 🤣. The “awareness” about who is being fair, gets lost. Fear gives in to the blackmail.

When a pattern emerges where we feel that the other person is not being fair most of the times, mutual trust diminishes 😂🙏

We look for how to rebuild mutual trust, in our non_commercial relationships (usually between close relatives and friends). Whereas, ‘sense of fairness' is the functional form of trust. A deep recognition of emotional interdependence is relative to the level of mutual trust.

It really happened 🤣

About 15 of us were freshers, youngsters and novices at the small office of a workplace in a remote town. The main boss and two officers were well experienced in handling the workplace_situation.

When novices are the subordinates, the temptation is to exploit their ignorance about their own basic rights 😜. “Sense of fairness” had totally evaporated in the main boss. We beginners could even ‘notice' the cunningness only when the two guys( our junior bosses) inadvertently grumbled at the”excessess” of their boss( our main boss😜). That main guy missed awareness of the fact that he has no separate switch inside his brain to be kept on, for maintaining his sense of fairness towards his breed(the 2 officers)😜…

We needed to find out the best ‘available’ defense material amongst ourselves, to fight the ‘absence of fairness’ in that main boss.

We met in privacy.

I was the unanimous choice.

I protested saying “I am the junior-most among us 🙏. I lack familiarity with workplace_related rights (based on sense-of-fairness). My personal anxiety is, everyone pays for my error in Judgement 🙏. Please let a senior among us lead 🙏…etc…etc” ( little did I realise then, when I was 22… that I was inadvertently blurting the basics of non_commercial interpersonal relationships 🙏… the cluster of my thoughts at that point of time, were going to end up as my-personal-thumb-rule for the rest of my life 😜)

The others made a proposal which I could not refuse ( same as the dialogue of the hero of the movie “The Godfather” 🙏😜😜)

They said: “Look, whether you commit an error in judgement or any other among us, all of us are going to ‘pay’ for it alike. We are unanimous that… the probability of error is least in you👍. We guarantee unconditional obedience to your decisions” ( probably, those guys must have felt that my “sense of fairness” was better than theirs, and accompanied by my trustworthiness, & ……dexterity of threat assessment (the boss “uses” his vested powers of disciplinary action to threaten us, at the drop of hat 😜. Pure emotional blackmail).

It worked 👍. I never had to regret any of my decisions, especially when the adherence was 200% plus😜.

My sense of responsibility towards my_breed fuelled an unprecedented speed_of_learning 🙏 ( do we not see instances of illiterates as mega success stories?👍🙏… Driven to the wall, doubles our moral strength).

This intense life_experience, of evolving rapidly into ‘sense of fairness'... I guess…might have contributed to my high scores in “Jurisprudence” paper 8 years later in my LLB, with zero preparation from books 😜.

Another decade later, the intense spiritual practices seemed to act like a fuel for spacecraft, in deepening the same ‘sense of fairness' at subtle levels 😜. ( Obviously, perception ought to deepen!). That's my experience, for whatever it is worth 🙏. It works for me, and therefore I felt “it might be fair enough to share it” 😜👍

My brother, a kid of 3 writhing in pain yelled to our dad “belt is biting my waist”.

Dad got annoyed, pulled out that belt, and lashed at the kid. (The pain due to the lash was too small compared to the ‘belt_bite’ and his sobbing subsided 😜). A scorpion jumped out when the belt was pulled by a jerk.

Dad noticed the scorpion and felt a remorse, in having misunderstood the kid 🙏( I still have strong visuals of the powerful expression in my dads face, when he realised that his_sense_of_fairness fell short, when he failed to ‘look beyond’ the limited vocabulary of a 3-year kid, and used the genuineness in pain, displayed by a scorpion’s sting(“ belt is biting me” 😜).

A lesson for life, for me. Dad, a guru 🙏

Perhaps, my earliest question, when I discovered an ‘ability' in myself to ‘ask’ 😜.

I was too small inside my brain to process such a comprehensive question, and therefore I probably ended up with another easier question “why am I unable to answer this question?”. The easier question stayed, even to keep reminding me of the tougher one 😂

My humble guess was…. other kids were “saved” from giving_birth to such questions 😜. Those kids were probably kept_busy into ‘becoming something’ which their caretakers decided upon to be 🙏. Shaping the ‘nature' of their wards the way they want 👍

What do wardens/parents want their kids to become?

Anything other than their own ‘nature' 😜

Exampull: A mom doesn't like to eat a particular dish, or doesn't like the ‘trouble' to make a dish, she ensures that her kids end up ‘becoming’ adjustable to suit her_own_likes/dislikes 😂. Her parents did the same 😭

A teacher prefers to sail through the syllabus smoothly. She will shape the students to ‘become' good at parroting her_syllabus. Win_win…

30 years later, I enrolled into a spiritual program. The teacher asked “what should you do to be just ‘yourself’? ( He added a hint : Right now, you are required to be something else all your waking hours 👍)”

Participants gaped 😳

( I was ‘naturally’ driven to ‘look' for what others are going to say?. This question didn't seem to nudge me 🙏)

Then, after 3 minutes, when no answer came up, the teacher said “Nothing 😂… you don't need to_do anything to be just_yourself ! All your life you are busy trying to be, struggling to be something else, other than your_self, all the time 😂. To be yourself, you just need to drop off what you are not🙏. Whatever gets left, is your self. Welcome to the art of becoming yourself! “

( I felt like”Bah! Is that all?.... And I was being scolded, mocked, scoffed, ridiculed etc… right from my kid age for not_becoming something Else!. I was just myself, the way I was, I am 😥🙏”. Acquiring skills has nothing to do with becoming something else, in my inner nature 🙏. I am damn flexible to do what a situation requires of me🙏👍. Other than that I am like animals, birds, worms and other creatures 😭…. I am just my species 😥🙏 . The teacher gave me homework, which didn't require me to do it afresh now😜😜😜. I have been on that job long since).

Let me focus on the ‘practices’ part of the program now👍. 13 days passed. I became good at the practices.

Most participants spoke on the last day "I feel a tremendous change in myself 🙏, relaxed and peaceful like never before 🙏. Even my family and neighbours ‘noticed' it”.

I didn't speak. Because I didn't change a bit 😜. Guys around me said “you are still the same old fool😂. The program didn't make any dent in you 😥. It didn't work for you (etc)” I nodded. I didn't know if it was okay to say in the feedback “Hey, I learnt the practices well 👍”. I didn't speak. But I kept climbing on the practices for the next 4 years at a hectic pace 😂. It brought answers to my earliest “tougher koschan” when I was a kid. The time tested ancient spiritual tools came damn useful to progress at high_speed on my spiritual journey 🙏.

At 70+ now, I am just myself ( more of it progressively 😂). If a reader is not going to feel annoyed, the simplest way of saying it is “I am not my body, I am not even my mind🙏”. I am whatever is remaining other than my body and mind. Long way to go , for 😃. But I am at it, post retirement 🙏. 2 ‘square meals’ is almost a’round me. So, becoming ‘something' for ‘earning' my food is not a problem. The needs are slimming fast.

( Retaining that ‘something’ which I am not, as a full_time_job…. 😳… Its side-effects suits medical specialists 😂. Good bijness for them👍. Even LKG kids are becoming patrons of psychological disorders 🙏. Unheard of, since thousands of years 😥. “Persona” used to be a ‘mask’ for male actors in Britain playing a female role, in 18th century. Now “persona’lity” development program is a costly and customised bijness for using in real_time . Real human roles are assigned to robotics 😂. AI is mere upgrade.)

This was a true story 🙏

I request readers to desist ‘probing’ into the details 🙏( I should not be disclosing personal details of people, which I had access to 🙏). My purpose is to share personal experience from real life, where situations were extreme 🙏

An employee of a financially weak enginnering firm lamented in a weak voice : “June. School reopening after summer holidays. Heavy expenses, for books, uniform and term fees for my 2 kids 😭🙏”.

I responded: “you should have planned to save!”

He( visibly annoyed): “ you can afford to sermonise sir. Well paid job, AC office, etc. I am getting my small salary 4 months late! My employer is also broke’’

Me (to further infuriate him😜) : “hey, can you buy me a tumbler of tea?”( In South, it is glass tumbler, not porcelain cups at wayside tea stall)

He ( ego hurt, when already engulfed with money problem 😜) : “Oh, it's a question of just ₹2 … i can buy it👍, come…”( 1997, tea was for ₹2)

We both reached the main gate.

I turned to him, feigning an after thought : Boss, we shall do 1 thing, keep the ₹2 separately for me🙏. Tomorrow we shall have tea”

He nodded.

Next day he sobered a bit, and I exploited it 😜 saying : “next few days only , 1 tea for me … keep aside an additional ₹2 daily”

Now….he grew suspicious 😳. But ₹2 is in his pocket yet, so….no mistrust problem 😜

Time is an element, I turn to my advantage when I decide to exploit somebody’s weakness called “ego” ( financially poor guys are generally more sensitive to being laughed at their poverty 😂). I am glued to him till he succeeds 😜.

30 days…. ₹60…

I demanded : “ open a recurring deposit account for 60 per month. Remember, its my tea_money of ₹2 from you, daily 👍. I help you daily at my office. I am your-good-friend. You owe me 1 tea daily”

An year later, the humble ₹2 per day, with cumulative interest, became his ‘margin money’ of 25% for a second hand sewing machine. His wife started earning, using the machine. Another year, they saved enough to buy an extra sewing machine, and his wife's next door lady got a job 😂.

This guy says to me, 2 years later: “Sir( a respect has crept in towards me, a stupid clerk😜)... Sir, now I can even quit my job 👍. My wife is earning enough to finance my family 😂”

Side effects: My dear colleague sitting next, tracked the entire drama, and whispered to me “PSN, I too started that ₹2 per day bijness. An RD account of mine too”. This colleague ‘retained’ the idea for 5 more years, and when we met post_retirement said “PSN, that ₹2….now the total amount is a 5 digit fixed deposit 😂”

I retorted 😡 “little drops of water…makes the mighty ocean”

( What I held back from telling other colleagues was : my 2 cents a day of spiritual practices 😜… now it is a huge balance of spiritual insight in me, since decades. No paisa involved 🙏)

Apologies, if a reader dropped here to data-mine digital technology related concepts 🙏 ( I merely borrowed ‘terms’ that find an instant appeal to present day's ‘hell bent on logic only’ kind of mind😜)

Until even 75 years ago, kids grew up like a frog_in_a_well, as far as sources of info is concerned. (For example, my sister, when in kindergarten, 1959 or so… chanted “waachaa” in a nursery rhyme she learnt. Dad is the only competent ‘authority' to question anything related to ‘English’😂. He needed 5 minutes to ‘decipher’ it as ‘water’ not ‘waachaa’. That teecha/teacher had a temporary problem in speaking clearly).

Kids didn't need external-insulation(Limited locations of sources of input).

Therefore, the traditional & internal filter seemed redundant 😭

Suddenly, the sources of input expanded ‘3-D’ 😜(crowds around, internet, TV, etc).

The technology involved for internal filters got buried by now.

Insulation from external sources became impractical ( too many holes in the umbrella 😥. Can't ‘avoid' getting wet 😜).

Only 2 options to keep a ‘mind’ healthy 😜. 1)insulate the mind 2)install a powerful filter. Neither options are viable today 😂

The need to install filters is ‘indispensible’

The functional ‘format’ and design of the filter is too complex now, because kids simply inherit overdose of Logic 🤣. Algorithms of logic cannot contain the codes required to process trust 🙏.

How ‘much’ of logic_oriented_codes can a ‘kid's tiny brain’ process???? (How to install an app called “trust” is out_of_syllabus in the textbook of today's-parenting 😜… meanwhile, the commercial world is hell_bent on spreading mutual_MISTRUST 😥. Like, Co_pilot suddenly turned out a ‘threat’ to 174 elite passengers of a large commercial aeroplane 🙏😭).

Building a super_strong (digital Fortress) of self_updating fail-safe & bug-proof logic-based software, to be installed in a human brain… easy???🤔 ( kids of genZ are swaying/oscillating 🙏😥)

Understanding the ‘problem' is the problem/diagnosis. Accepting its complexity is the next level of the problem. Finding/figuring out or…outsourcing a solution is the next stage. Compatibility with a logically-confused kids brain is a mega project with unreasonably_short deadlines (lifeLine?? dunno!).

Spiritual bijness focuses on emotional evolution 🙏. Not a rocket science 🙏. Test check this : Logic divides. Emotions unite. (That simple 😜).

A MasterChef’s real headache.

It's not about his skills. Not about shortages in utensils, spices, or raw ingredients 🙏

It's the level of insensitivity of the taste buds of the fellow who is going to approve his culinary skills 😭.

Luckily, I am kept away from kitchen ( that's the rule in South Indian kitchen 🙏😥. Females seek to retain their relevance, only by banning the male from filling even a “purely temporary vacancy”😜).

Had I been asked to participate in a cookery contest, for sure, I will INSIST on a certificate, signed not earlier than 1 hour, by 2 specialist doctors —tongue specialist & a neurologist 👍. A coated tongue can ‘feel' only the hot spicy 🔥. A defective neuro network can't maintain “data integrity” of messages from taste buds to the organ brain. ( Please ‘think’ of the precarious fate of a MasterChef who is an expert in conveying “sensuality” through his dishes, much to the embarrassment of famous lovers, who can bewitch, planting a kiss!!! Taste buds ‘need' sensitivity 🙏).

A very mild entrance exam ( unlike the NEET) for a new bride is when the mom-in-law suggests “dear child, please add salt to the sliced ash gourd cooking on the stove”(that dish has no spice, not even water😥. Salt makes it release the water needed. Among spices meant for ‘taste buds’ salt is the trickiest. And as a sole participant in the dish called “Olan” salt is a dictator 😜.

I am incompetent to talk about kitchen wizards in cold places🙏.

But, at warmer places, Kerala specialises the-most in pampering the MOST sensitive taste buds 🙏. As we travel north, spices get intense😥. Punjab doesn't need hot pickles at all,😜. Main dishes feel like pickles. In the middle east, the main Judge between the 2- judge-bench( taste buds & nostrils) is the ‘nose’. Spices exuding fragrance wins the contest, not the ones pampering the taste buds.

Kerala ‘deals’ with even the nervous system of vegetables and fruits 😥. Ancient guys name the day(like 7th day) of watering, ( of a particular banana) missed by the gardner. Rings around the main spine of fruit store the ‘data’ of nutrients pumped-up date_wise 😜. Tastebuds need sensitivity 🙏.

Cocoanut tastes very differently when grated, chopped, sliced, ground, pulverized or ‘burnt’ partially 😥. Traditional Chef-experts display their mathematical_skills in each of these 6 ways of using coconut kernel, in permutations and combinations of other spices, vegetables and ‘stages of cooking’. Mind-blowing number of possibilities. I struggled perfecting the plain “chutta chammandee” to my satisfaction 😜. ( I don't OUTSOURCE the test by tastebuds 😥. Mine work well, at 70+ still). Chutta chammandee is coconut pieces burnt on wood flame, and ground on stone and pestle, manually with few spices added patiently, stage wise.

Kerala specialises in intricacy at subtlety 😜. Jaggery and ghee( clarified butter) need to hold hands all_the_while, and walk into the ‘core’ of the rice grain which is just puffed up while being cooked, waiting to be fully cooked. These two guys wait in the core of the cooked rice grain till the bite releases them, only to be instantly grabbed by the tastebuds of the diner. Next millisecond, the saliva intrudes to dilute the flavour 😭🙏. This dish is a sweet porridge “nei payasam” and a prestigious ‘offering’ at temples consecrated with mega_sophistication called “Tantra”, a combo of yantra & mantra. Imagine, when a wizard among tantric priests deploys his spiritual powers alongside his MasterChef expertise in a nei_payasam, and energises it invoking the energies from the consecrated deity, and allows the devotees to enrich their body and spirit as neivedya-prasadam 🤣🙏🙏🙏. ( Today, all these aspects are diluted, when the mind becomes hell_bent on patronizing only commercial thoughts 🙏.

As if to complicate the cooking skills further(😭), Kerala specializes in forging unique alloys of 3 to 5 metals, to be used for ‘special’ dishes. Few radioactive substances which got heated at 3000°c in the belly of earth for centuries, spewed out, cooled and became porous red mud-rocks. These radioactive substances became “embedded software” when the mud was used to shape the alloy vessels of brittle and heavy type(bell metal). Food cooked in such traditional vessels borrow microscopic bits of radioactive substances too! 😥. I don't know if the neuro-network can ignore completely the effects of radioactive substances, while transmitting taste-data from the tastebuds to the brain 🤣

Well, that was my crazy view point of cooking skills around the place which nourished me 🙏

PostScript: a private secret .... I managed making a masala with 36 ingredients, twice in my life ( successful both times🙏), and took 6+ hours of manual grinding on stone and pestle each time 😥. Pure magic, when 6 of the ingredients, when ground have only a week's shelf life maximum, but held on for 6 months, in fridge, the taste increasing with time! But my helper was my sister, who is no more 🙏. And masala ain't my bijness 😜

Especially when the modern trend is to display it glaringly, with a SPLURGE of money, if that person is unsure of the genuiness of one's own affection towards the other( own kid's 😜).

Epic stories convey the concept of ‘hiding affection’ liberally 😜

Ramayana, krishna_avatar( not Mahabharata war), are classic examples where the hero has tons of affection for the ‘villain’ and hides the affection till the last breath of the villain_raakshasa( after_all the villain is a permanent “security staff” of Vishnu… dwaaraPaalaka 😜).

Slightly lower level example is of an enlightened Master 🙏 ( Outwardly ‘merciless’ towards own dear disciple! Master even reincarnates to deploy his powerful tool of MercilessNess to his ‘most’ blue_eyed/dearest disciple😜. I had a ‘taste’ of this ‘cruelty’ between aug-1992 and Dec 1994😭. After that I was ‘let-off’ to Yenjoy_Life 😜👍).

Hindu way of life….

Hiding affection was the sole privilege of dads, until a century ago 🙏. Moms choose it wisely, only if the situation warrants. Sacred reason= mom has a greater responsibility of imparting the ‘knowledge’ related to ‘equipoise of Emotions’ 🙏. A male isn't designed to impart this_one_skill, adequately enough 🙏, an evolved guy gains the competence, but turns into a Guru, from a biological_dad wala status😥

Genuine teachers of today are under severe constraints of needing to “wait” until the student surrenders explicitly, saying “do what you like with me, but Please mould me into an evolved one🙏” . ( I learnt that this kind of a student is rare and 4th kind of a ‘broad’ classification of types of students 😜).

Stray cases of ‘rags to riches’ via honest hard work, are examples of another similar concept : “any kind of refinement necessarily envisages some kind of self imposed restriction” ( ain't it sounding like: hiding own affection unto oneself?😜)

His latent spiritual power is UNAVAILABLE to the opposition, to even ‘sight’ it (नज़रिया/perception deficiency 😭 . Even AI can't see it 🙏). I happened to get a ‘freak’ glimpse of it because I slogged for decades 🙏.

A ‘praise’ misunderstood

I received the following message recently.

It is obvious, that the sender felt the act of my ‘praising' a third person was an excess-in_futility :

"excess praise of individuals—no matter how articulate—does not change the ground reality or move us closer to the finish line" (is the main theme of that lengthier message… other details are personal & private, and I look objectively here, not subjectively. )

This applies at every temple in Bharat 🙏.

Since thousands of years, people even "specialise" in 'praising' God/Goddesses😓

Those who sceptical inwardly ( outwardly like a 'religious' guy), also feel "nothing changes in ground reality" 🤣

If, praising "God" is fruitless, how can me, a non_entity/नाचीज़, praising another human being who is better than many like me around, change the destiny???? Very true 🙏

Then, why do we praise at all, others?( Forget about 'excess' since there are no physical yardstick 😓.. paises can either be genuine or bogus, as far as I know 🙏)

Tragically enough, I not only spent most of my 6+ decades pursuing spirituality, but also tried at volunteering for freshers, for 7 years or so, as a part of a structured design ( privately and indivually, i still do 😥). The tragic part ---- sitting eyes closed ( they call it meditation) or _*doing 'excessively' a stupid thing like 'watching breath'*_ has NOT CHANGED THE GROUND REALITY for the bulk majority of the practitioners 😭... ( I have 'seen' this live. Most of us are shy of openly admitting it, that's all ). My personal_tragedy now.... is : I shouldn't 'praise' a guy, who is 'seen' progressing well in the spiritual practices 😭. Praise is counter-productive on a spiritual journey 🙏. Imagine my plight of being disallowed to praise "mildly" when a tiny progress is so rare 😜🙏

Somebody did a great job at analysis, when too many factors are involved. Yet some other guy was a bit lucky to 'trace' the path_of_analysis of this person, and merely acknowledged the efforts. It does-look-like an excessive praise 🤣, to a casual eye, when that eye is focused more on FAVOURABLE_results_only, not bothered to look deep enough at the effort to make it favourable.

Earlier ships had large 'sails'. Sailing was a long wait "till the winds are favourable"

Later, the technology evolved "multi_sail_ships" 🙏. No matter 'which way the wind blows, the ship will move and ONLY in the desired direction'. A co-passenger is 'right' and has the 'right' of freedom of speech, to call my_praise for the guy who thought of multi-sails idea, as a "waste"🤣. No "law" to compel everyone to 'trace' the path of the intellect of any innovator 🙏🙏🙏😥.

( Today, even the gimmicks related to the reason of wearing a holy thread, upaNayanam... namely the articulation and gesticulation ... is not 'yielding' any ground_reality_experience 😭🙏🙏🙏. I am a mad_nut 😜. I pursued to know the secret of it, the subtle level experience 🙏...... I praise the ancient Rishis silently within 🙏, because it will needlessly irritate others, on WhatsApp.

How flexibility works for me

The whole idea of my writing these blogs is to share my experience 🙏

Digital technology ought to be made use of, to my best possible.

A spiritual master advised me “we can use only the experience of others, not their wisdom ‘. I got it 👍. Wisdom is hack-proof, even under the influence of drugs used for ”Narco analysis” 😜

I observed that, the gadgets we use need “some kind of resistance” which we designed for use! And humans need flexibility to get things done favourably under a given situation 😓 ( Example: In the movie “36th chamber of shaolin”, the newcomer is not flexible enough to quickly jump over a floating log, without getting wet 😜. He trains his body & mind to suit the situation “)

I really don't know why or how the flexibility of mind crept into me (even when a kid)🙏. I was normal in most of the situations, and onlookers would infer according to their rigidities 😂. A classical example was, bulk of my elders at home concluded my visible form of flexibility as “an idiot who can't assert even his own basic rights”(consequentially, I was looked at as a dumb fool as well👍, who can be kicked about like a football. It didn't matter to me, because I was guided by ‘another’ concept : only in the human species, each individual varies too widely in their mutual relationship & behaviour 😥🙏. I needn't react every time. I can respond if possible). After I could stand on ‘my own 2 legs” I got drifted away from ‘relatively related relations’ 😂. A joke happened. A highly evolved relative, also respected among my relatives for his scholarly achievements, happened to mention me as a ‘brilliant young fellow” (40 years ago). My relatives proved their inflexibility by saying “how could such a great scholar go so_wrong about PSN?🤔”

A most dreaded dacoit turned into a Rishi Valmiki, and the first step happened in a few hours( epic story). I tried to visualise myself meeting him again soon after he got transformed from a dacoit into an ascetic! My mind's flexibility isn't good enough to sight his transformation 🙏. By myself, I would continue to look at him as ‘still a dacoit’😭. I need to ‘work' a lot more on my own flexibility.

Another astounding thing I discovered is… my flexibility shouldn't become handy for those who try to exploit me like a parasite 😜. This clarity helped me to surmount issues related to social compulsions😂 I could drop off even socially compelling relationships. (Least of the examples was, I quit my job, voluntarily, with 8 more years of ‘cream’ in monetary form, in the pay ‘scale’ 👍. Flexibility helps prioritising priorities pragmatically 🙏. (An Earlier Prime minister confessed his helplessness and lack of flexibility when he replied to a query for tolerating too many scams, and said “ …. because of coalition compulsions 😂 “ ( tax payers suffer, for him to allow scams. I can't replicate his principle in my individual life🙏).

Mind's flexibility did wonders for me, whether it was about myself or my_efforts to help the freshers who “trusted” me for my backup support during my 6 years of volunteering for a spiritual program 🙏. My flexibility increased phenomenally, when the fuel was an “urge to make a difference in the lives of others” 🙏.

I found myself capable of choosing different ways of choosing how to say the “same thing" to the other person, maximizing the reach, and minimizing the scope of misunderstanding my words! ( At work place, I discovered ways and means of keeping aside rigid_rules, when I was sure that I didn't have to compromise on safety, ethics, integrity and moral 🙏. Deserving customers benefited mightily 👍).

Mega advantage of my efforts to improve flexibility is, what I don't need for my spiritual journey gets dropped off by itself… “hard wired habits/karma”👍….( I don't know how to amplify this experience 😓).

A kid(5 yrs) : “Mom, lets buy this!”

Mom : “ This is useless for us dear… not worth buying “

Kid : “why is it worthless mom?”

Mom : “😡”( at times, also within ”🤔 why is it worthless?”

I “found” that…..

Assessing the Worthlessness is far easier than assessing a ‘true & intrinsic worth” of some input.

How I found?... Geography teacher bombarded me ( from the prescribed syllabus, that's the whole problem 😭) with “details of flow velocity, volume and route of rivers like Mississippi and colorado”. What am I going to do with this info? 🤔. History teacher: “Ancient guys slept on even treetops in old stone age”. Wanna me to try that????😡🙏

No way( no tools in the syllabus) to enable to assess the ‘worth’ of something I am supposed to: 1) learn at school, 2) get along with elders at home, 3)abiding stupid_looking traffic rules, 4)get by_heart the Wren and Martin text of grammar ( this was far more tricky, ‘because’ of desi languages where a stupid object like a pen “demands” that I call myself a female 😡😭 “ye kalam meri hai”( “this pen is mine” … in English! How to “assess” the worth of English grammar, where the pen is a neutral guy??? It's a pen, damnit!😡). 5) endless list

Bharat is a reverential culture🙏 ( west is ‘freedom' culture 😜. Easy on my brains👍). Problem is, I need to be reverential to peepals/people, and all forms of life, even stone_idols etc for a very valid reason 😭

The tools to be used to assess the worth, I figured out with great trouble 🙏. And the 4 tools were, I guess the_only_syllabus in Gurukul thousands of years ago 😭.

How about “trying” the Worthlessness??? 😜😜😜

If somebody says “become a great person”,

I look at the following “sample” list:

1). I am not provided with the DIY, or how_to tool kits, ( forget about time_tested tools🙏)

2). No reference point like ‘how big?’

3). Why shouldn't I remain normal. Even a lion, “king of forest” never slogged to become “great”????

4). How am I going to handle the burden of a) maintaining ‘great guy’? I can't hold a noisy_fart, though damn harmless😭, b)pushing down guys around me from overtaking, when I reached already my brim 🙏, c)realignining myself to the ever-changing life situations around? Like, i was damn fast and legible with my pen and processor brain, at manual clerical work as a ledger keeper at bank. The damn digital technology screwed me up😓. Legible handwriting or mental arithmetic is superfluous 🙏. A great_clerk in me is garbage now😭… my true story 🙏, I managed to learn afresh, the crazy advice of becoming a “great data_entry_operator” now, just because others too had to go through the torture of ‘learning' at 40’s a new language of computer_literacy, when our learning ‘curve’ is already flattened 2 decades ago 😭.

Spiritual bijness enabled me to delve into my own Worthlessness, as a human being, doing the same nonsense like other life forms “eating, sleeping and procreating” sophisticating only these 3 , to gloat myself, within only my brand of humans that “I am great… i buy, even things like water, air etc not just food, clothing and shelter”( other life forms ‘tease’ me silently”its still free for us in our free form, without any captivity. Few of us only_hunt, no need to work/earn for a ‘living’).

These innovations seemingly ( only to me, 🙏) are like pointing out our Worthlessness in mutual trust 😭.

Security camera everywhere, one VIP needing a dozen commandos, whole busy street blocked for a VIP, no_fly zone during a VIP plane takeoff, etc

A “second” layer of security for login into my own money in my app of bank account!

Firewalls for my stupid data,

Biometric id verification for pittance of ration shop rice???

Any new gadget faces infiltration by scammers on the same day 😜 ( humans can be proud of Worthlessness in mutual trust).

In school, 60 years ago, I was appreciated for handing over a lost-&-found tiffin box to my teacher. Now, a bomb squad needs to check the silly tiffin box on a road, before an aam Aadmi can go within 15 feet distance near it🤣. IED, likely! Gourmet/Govt. says “don't touch unidentified objects ( we are innovating in insulating mutual mistrust in the meanwhile “😥)

After the recent heroic sacrifice of a pilot of FlyDubai plane saving 174+ lives, a team of high_tech brains will innovate “how to screen pilots”( had this innocent pilot failed, our ‘creative toolkit experts’ would have labelled that pilot as a ‘culprit’ probably 🙏). Mistrust is easier, though expensive, to implement 🙏.

Usually we get bombarded with free advice “do your best”. (Seldom it is accompanied by “how the hell, to implement it?”)

As if this simple version ain't enough, fanciful guys quote famous ones like Micheal Angelo(in “agony & ecstasy” novel) saying “ take infinite pains to create something that looks effortless” 😥

Doesn't really work for normal ones like us.

True exampull: in 1974, my mom complained to my dad about me “this kid is going to a matinee show daily, since a week. Please question him”. Dad quizzed. I said “my final year eggjams/exams, not matinee”. Dad used to trust me. Yet, he asked ‘how long?’ i said “tomorrow afternoon last paper”. Case dismissed.

But mom, though a lower court at home (😓), persisted in vain, saying to me :” that boy, next house, studies aloud till 2 am. Watch, he will score high, and you will Surely fail👍… you snore even during forenoon of exam-day!” ( that's my mom's version of infinite pain, as a non-detachable component of doing best..). Results had something “else” to say😥. I didn't get any second chance to do better😭. I passed with 55% average, almost zero pains. That guy got an opporChutney to write again in 2 subjects, 6 months later, “supplementary eggjams” to clear in failed subjects! My mom didn't like it 🙏

Fortunately, (for me, of course 🙏), one & only one teacher in my entire life, specifically insisted on learning without any pain, whatsoever 👍. Spiritual program boss👍. I liked it 😜.

He gave a FANTASTIC concession as a bonus : on a spiritual path, your own best, at a given point of time is worth 100/100 marks👍( no need to wait for enumeration results 😜🙏). Damn good, i felt 🤣. ( A weight lifter picking 100 kg, though he can lift 300 kg, is a ‘fail’ 0/100 marks, teacher said, while you pick just 10 kg, which is your maximum that_day, scores 100/100. 😳. Strange way of giving marks, i thought, but good enough for me)

Problem with doing our(my)best: my negatives in my mind, holds me back very promptly and unfailingly each time I do anything 😭 ( like : “Oh, this is just a worn out cloth for swiping the floor…. I need not wash it clean like my wedding shirt 👍”. This mentality spreads like Covid19 😜, to almost everything I try to do 😥).

Imagine me(70+ now), trying to run a race with toddlers of 2 years age. 20 feet ‘distance’ to the finish line. I should reach within one_tenth of the time required by all the ten kids competing against me🙏.

Now, if….. me_alone is tied up with stones of 50 kg, to each of my 2 legs???? Kids will reach the 20 feet finish line in 10% of the time required by me 🙏 😭.

This is the real problem. Each of my_negative attitudes weighs a ton, and prevents me from doing even routine+ effortless daily tasks like a breeze 😜. Who else, except me alone, is responseAble for my own dead_weights that I tied on to myself to work against me???

( At advanced level programs in spiritual bijness, i faced only_mind_related problems 😜… Doing my best seldom involved even twitching a muscle. In fact, it was more about getting rid of body_awareness itself 😜. Side effects were enormous 🙏. Handling material aspects of life was effortless. My-mind just says “hey body-of-PSN, your turn 👍. I am supposed to shut_up and be quiet”. Damn thing works 🤣. When the mind does the shut_up, my-brain, the processor, has only one guy to look up_to, in case of kanfuShun/confusion, and that guy sleeps like kumbhakarna inside me, my mustard sized intellect 😭).

We know the ‘look’ on the face of a baby is so attractive, we struggle to take our eyes away from its face.

One of the several reasons could be, the baby is looking at EVERYTHING around Afresh, each time 🙏. ( Baby's mind is not chanting a “label” for everything its eyes are watching. Proof: our eyes would struggle to find out “what's that???” even when we are walking on a road, and our fleeting glance at everything our eyes notice, but our mind ‘fails’ to supply a label for a strange object there😂

That ill_fated apple received a ‘fresh’ look from the eyes of Newton 😭🙏, and mother natures law of gravity was no more a closely held secret 😜

At my workplace, more than often, the error in the books gets sighted within seconds in the opening hours of business. Previous evening, the same pair of eyes had passed over the same error in bank's books a dozen times for hours, successfully hiding itself ….. and the humiliating thing is it was there, all along, WITHOUT any camouflage 😂 ( today computing technology has obviated such manual errors).

One lady writer CONFESSED decades ago, in a weekly magazine, in her article about her aged mother's dementia “I took my mom FOR GRANTED and I missed noticing the early signs of dementia setting in her. I could have arrested the damage earlier”

If…. Only if…we care to look_keenly at the face of an adult who is looking at a vast scene for the first time ( with ZERO idea about it earlier), we can see a glimpse of the innocence of a baby_face in that adult 😂😜🙏. It would last only a moment 🙏. The next moment the mind has managed some stupid label and keeps chanting it each moment (subject to correction by a tourist_guide).

While at a social media platform “speakingtree”, I responded very oddly to a blog by a girl of Indian origin, visiting Mansarovar lake for the first time, coming from the USA. The description included her “inner experience” too 😳 ( otherwise, I would not have bothered to comment 🤣).

I wrote something like this “ are you going to experience it in an equal measure at least, if not more, during your next visit?” I added a punch ”that boy of 12 years or less, who was found washing used tea cups at a tea shop…. he wonders “why do peepals spend thousands of rupees to take a look at this lake?🤔. It's just a water body, a large one, and I wash their used plates and cups with the SAME water”... Can you think of a convincing reply to that kid's innocent question, which won't dare to vocalise???”.( Fortunately, my comment hit the mark 😜. We exchanged a conversation full of value addition 🙏. She got a new_found reason to chase my blogs thereon)

Greatest tragedy is, this “looking afresh” is a vital component in spiritual practices 😭😭😭… If one can't manage a fresh look at the damn thing ( stupidest looking practices), they stagnate at day_2 itself for an entire lifetime 🙏… ( the greatest advantage of the ABILITY of looking afresh each time, even the stupid breath of ours😥🙏, is that subtle aspects of whatever we are observing reveals itself deeper and deeper each time 🙏). Looking afresh happens a tiny bit more than peepals around me. But, the blabber about what I come to notice invites the ire_of_listener invariably 😥 . I resorted to remote, safe and comfortable place to blabber😜🙏. The blogs. Nearby guys spare me with “okay, this ½ mad is keeping shut for a while at least”...

Ancient Kings of Bharat had to hear it directly from the people. Hence, the need for incognito walk around the streets, like an ordinary fellow, often as a beggar 😜

Rishis had direct access to the ‘thoughts' of the people ( of course, only in a non_verbal form🙏). Verifiable evidence is available today, if somebody has uploaded a short_video clip of a spiritual guru who answered a disciple’s question about his source of updated world_news, despite his hectic travel and busy schedules 🙏. The Guru said “I don't have to read or view TV news. You people do it for me. I have to just look at you 😂. And I stay updated”

Thoughts are physical, though subtle.

Having practiced a few tools in my spiritual bijness, I did experiment just once, with an over_excited co_participant in a spiritual program 🙏. He picked me to ‘try' communication via thoughts. We did it. Damn thing worked. He said “never again shall we do this🙏” and I agreed for a dissimilar reason.

Manufacturing defect in me, perhaps 😓. Randomly, I am sensitive to the aggregate ‘nature' of the thoughts in a particular dwelling place ( it is usually a “house”. I call it a “home” when I experience a positive energy 🙏. Of late, a few “houses” defeat even a haunted_building/place, in terms of negative_Vibes😭. Babies might be found restless, or even crying for no reason 🙏). I was tempted to see if I am right, during my teens. I asked my cousin to compare the effect of the ambience in 2 places; his own home, at at his uncle's house. He exclaimed after a few repeated & successive visits, exclusively to test the Vibes, saying “ hey! You are damn right! I NEVER noticed this earlier. Now, I can even ‘relate’ it with my inner experience at both these places all along ….and confirm this👍”( This reference to unprocessed_memory of ‘earlier’ experience was a mega_bonus for me 😜 🙏. I was on the right track).

Copper wire can conduct electrical energy. They can't store it as yet. What we usually miss is the metal_fatigue of aged wires. I changed it after 10 years and the Kwh climbed down 😜. ( If keen…Google this: which wire ages faster, used for AC or DC ?)

Mind assigns the job to worry or plan, alongside a negative or positive emotion.

"Worry" is never without a conflict between two opposing possibilities ( will or will-not happen). A bug in a processor 'heats' it up more, without results in a computer 😜.

Creativity merely refers to the intellect, and proceeds with clarity, feasibility, viability etc ( far less fuel/energy is expended).

If this idea convinces(🙏), I am armed with a better purpose, reason and clarity to keep worries away. 😜

I am full of admiration for the choice of “decision” to name a generation, which is only a fraction of a century 🙏( Every nomenclature intends a purpose 🙏. No other generation even_thought of a purpose as a collective Generation)

Each century had around 5 generations 🙏

We only heard of “Yuga” ( satya yug, treta, dwapara and now kali)

I now look towards hope🙏.

Will this “GenZ” also strive to revive the memory of the purpose of time tested rituals, traditions and practices of the Way_of_Life of ancient Bharat????

Is it worth re_discovering the real+original purpose, of

-having temple, going into the temple, checking for the presence of contemplated subtle energies/whatever?

—Observing the moon's phase for annual rituals of the departed, or for those ‘born’ under the influence of a particular ‘star’

This is my own personal doubt and an evergreen_doubt afresh every day 🙏 , whether it is about seeking or offering a help. ( Other life forms handle even their-own-death very gracefully 😥🙏. Without any help. Inconspicously and eco-friendly way 👍. The carcass of even that huge elephant didn't ‘pose’ a environmental issue in the forest. We need 4 guys to carry my body, and a few dozens to feign crying! Rejoice is suppressed 😜”good riddance”)

A school teacher was “assigned” to teach “being good to others” to her Kindergarten students. Theory won't work on kids of such small age. It had to be ‘tasking only’ when reporting to the princi was “rules”!

Kids scrambled towards a deadline to do “some good deed” and tell the teacher. 3 such kids reported to the teacher “M’am, we 3 together helped an old lady to cross a street 👍”. The teacher felt grateful, that she can write it in her report. As an after thought, she asked very casually “but why did it take 3 of to help 1 lady?”

Kids blurted honestly “because she never needed to go to the other side of the street and we had a ‘task’ to complete somehow 🙏😥”

Offering a seat to an elder in a jam packed bus isn't always without any issues 😭. The elder is shy to reveal that he has ‘piles’ and can't sit without a pain in his “@#*” ( you know where!). The gatekeepers of Vishnu “chose” to be villains for 7 lifetimes ( instead of 14 lives as devotees, doing-Good to worthless idiots in vain 😜). Easier to be realistic as a villain 👍. Quick work. Fast dissolution of karma, and guaranteed moksha/release 😜

My blogs are innocent to some extent 🙏. No compulsions to even read😂. ( AI bot does the hiking of views/hits, to pamper my ego 😜). Only 1 guy reported a noteworthy side_effect ( he tested reading re-reading a blog few times 😥. It did something unnatural to him 😭. But he en_joyed it, mercifully 🙏, and needed six years to muster confidence to privately tell me 😂.
