Days' Leann Hunley Moonlights On NCIS

Gena Rowlands will soon be raising hell on NCIS as Joann, an ex mother-in-law of Mark Harmon’s Gibbs—and that’s good news for Days of Our Lives star Leann Hunley (Anna). The suds queen has been hired to play Joann in flashbacks set during the 1980s. Airing March 2, the retro scenes—which feature Harmon’s own son, Sean, as the younger Gibbs—will explain the bad blood between the two characters. “You see that Joann is very angry at Gibbs for taking her daughter and grandchild away from her when his job is relocated,” Hunley reports. That move led to the murder of Gibbs’ family by a Mexican drug dealer.

The guest-stint was a fantasy come true for the seductive, smoky-voiced Hunley, who has often been likened to Lauren Bacall but always saw herself as more of a Rowlands type. “When I first saw her back in the ’70s in A Woman Under the Influence, I thought, ‘That woman looks like me! She has my eyes!’” Hunley recalls. “Ever since, it’s been my secret little wish that I might play her some day. But, seriously, what were the chances? To have it actually happen is just wild!”

A "wicked smart" and acerbic young woman with the perspective of a lifelong outsider, Marti is currently attending college on a full scholarship. An acquaintance of Lightman's, she knows him from those dark nights when his gambling jones overwhelms his better intentions -- but when Orlando is suspected of murdering his female rival, Aneta Maybin, she calls on him to solve the murder. Made aware by Lightman that their "friendship" is tenuous at best, she undergoes his withering scrutiny, insisting that neither she nor Orlando killed Aneta. When Lightman is scooped up by boxing promoter / gangster Reese Kraball, Sonny hopes against hope that Lightman can clear them all and find the real killer...GUEST STAR

He was diagnosed with depression at age 10 and schizophrenia at 16. Andrew lived with his mother, Joyce, until his Psychiatrist, Francine Stanton, committed him to a mental hospital seven months ago after he reportedly raped Mallory Sidwell, a 15-year-old classmate. While there, Andrew fell under the spell of another patient, Jared Robinson, who broke out of the institution taking Andrew with him. Jared and Andrew were living on the streets for seven months, until Andrew killed Jared accidentally while Jared was trying to rape him. During the course of the investigation into Jareds death, the detectives learn that Dr. Stanton has been molesting Andrew since he was 13 and they have a year old child. (GUEST STAR)

Frazzled; exasperated but ultimately loving mother she had four children in her 20s and then, as her marriage was deteriorating, she and her husband had a late-in-life child to try to save the marriage. That didnt work the husband left and Joyce was left with a newborn. She did her best with Andrew, but she just didnt have the emotional or physical wherewithal to raise him with lots of love and support. Shes not a bad person or a bad mother, shes just exhausted by life and circumstances. She loves Andrew and wants whats best for him, but has unwittingly ceded certain parental responsibilities to Dr. Stanton. Joyce is totally unaware of Andrew and Stantons physical relationship.
