When Ana & Peter were visiting Spokane over Christmas, they made arrangements for a couples love photo session with wedding photographer Cami Bradley. The couple is making a big difference in the Middle East working in aid and relief. I love how they used pretty touches like the henna on her hands and scarf to bring in that influence and document this season of their life. Cami is one creative photographer and knows how to use vintage & floral props as fantastic additions to engagement and love sessions. Gorgeous! So excited to share this oh-so-fabulous winter wedding by Urban Rose Photography. So many pretty winter & Christmas wedding decor ideas here, girls!!! Arden & Mary were married amidst the rolling Palouse hills at the Evangelical Free Church in Pullman and held their reception at the SEL Event Center. I'm loving so many of the details especially, the giant glittered Mr. & Mrs. reception table, the bridesmaids lovely shawls & of course the beautiful florals done by Marcia Oplinger. Enjoy!

Handmade Tea Bag Wedding Favors Shoot by Violet Hills Weddings & Events

Isn't it so much fun to see local creatives & collaborations at work? I'm thrilled to be showing off a fabulous DIY project with you today created by Ali Marshall of Violet Hills Weddings & Events. Want to know how to make these adorable tea bag favors? Ali, along with Spokane wedding photographer Cami Bradley, graphic designer Amy Franklin from The White Room and some great vintage pieces from the Attic Vintage Rentals, styled the sweetest photo shoot and tutorial to show you exactly how. Read a little about choosing favors by Ali & her step-by-step instructions bellow:

I often times find that guest favors can be a tough one for many brides to figure out. There are so many things you want out of your favors…

You want something creative (translate not Jordan almonds in the wedding dress and tuxedo-shaped boxes).
You want something your guests will look at and say “oh how cuuuute!”

You want something your guests can take home and actually use, and reminisce back to your wedding day while they’re using it.

You want something inexpensive.

And if it’s a DIY, you of course want something that isn’t going to take you unending hours to complete. As if you don’t have a million other things on your to-do list, right?

That’s why I love these little DIY personalized tea bags as a favor idea:

Teaming up with the Attic Vintage Rentals, photographer Cami Bradley and graphic designer Amy Franklin at the White Room, I’ve included an easy peasy little tutorial for you to follow, in case you catch the tea bug and want to make some for your guests too!

Materials:

- Muslin fabric (look for natural, unbleached muslin)

- Any color baker’s twine (I purchased mine from The Twinery, ohhh all those colors are to die for)

- Loose leaf tea (check out Atticus downtown Spokane!)

- Scissors

- Hole punch

- Tags

- Little brown bags

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Cut the muslin into 6” x 6” squares.

2. Fill the middle of the square with 1-2 tablespoons of loose leaf tea.

3. Fold one side of the fabric over the loose leaf tea.

4. Fold the other side of the fabric over, much like a burrito : )

5. Bring the two ends up together, and tap or move the tea around with your fingers so it’s at the bottom of your tea bag.

6. Cut your baker’s twine to desired length, and tie a knot around your pouch, down toward the loose leaf tea.

7. Finish it off by tying your tag to the end of your twine.

And voila! You have adorable, easy, inexpensive, and useful favors! Repeat steps 1 – 7 to make as many as your little heart desires.

I also purchased some little brown bags and stamped on the front of them, obviously optional. These are for your guests to take their tea bags home in.

Now grab a few of your closest pals (ahem, bridesmaid duty), some wine, and your favorite cheesy movie (mine = the Notebook, or anything with Ryan Gosling really), and whip a ton of these out in just a couple of short hours!

Alternative: If you don’t want to have a graphic designer make little tags for you, purchase a $10 heart or circle punch from the craft store and make your own. Little felt hearts would be adorable too. Gosh now that I mention it, I kind-of wish I would have given that a try too - that’s about as DIY as you can get!
