On his first night out since his jet car accident in September, Richard was accompanied by co-presenters James May and Jeremy Clarkson, who confirmed that the first episode of the new series is due to air on January 28 at 8pm on BBC2. Lego's Andy Woodman presented Richard with a scale model of the infamous Vampire jet car and a Lego version of the Top Gear studio set, complete with presenters and, of course, a tiny Stig. This followed Richard's recent announcement that playing with Lego blocks had aided his swift recovery. Richard was also crowned one of Top Gear magazine's Men of the Year at the awards ceremony, which saw Jeremy and TG magazine editor Michael Harvey handing out the BAFTA-inspired gongs to the Cars of the Year category winners.

The Awards issue of TopGear magazine, Britain's best-selling car title, hits the newsstands today, with Citroen claiming top spot for the first time in the contest's 11-year history. This is it, my undoubted star of 2010 - the Porsche 911 GT2 RS: insane, blindingly fast, flamboyant and it goes against everything I've ever said about the 911. Which makes me look a bit of a monkey.

Lamborghini Aventador Red bull (no wings)

Lamborghini Aventador Red bull (no wings) - The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show as a replacement for the Gallardo, which had served as an iconic supercar for a decade. The Lamborghini Aventador Engine is no rehash of the Murcielago -- it has an entirely new, lightweight 12-cylinder engine still positioned in the rear, in front of the axle. The high horsepower is coupled with 509 lb-ft of torque and the new Independent Shifting Rods 7-speed transmission.

A chewy question to begin with. Is it heresy to suggest that the car you’re currently looking at, the new Lamborghini Aventador, is... well, too smooth? Has Lambo, traditionally the last ones holding court at the bar while everyone else has called it a night, finally – whisper it – grown up?

Not exactly. As you’re about to find out, the 691bhp Aventador (pronounced ‘event-a-door’, with the emphasis on the first syllable) is a huge leap forward for a company whose flagship model has used an evolution of an engine that first appeared in the middle of a Lambo the same year The Beatles went psychedelic.

All Lambos look pretty much the same and they’re all quite fast. The Aventador might not be a quantum leap in innovation like how the Ferrari F40 did back in its day, but I wouldn’t complain if someone offered me a ride in one.

Porsche shall be announcing of this model within the next couple of weeks time if the rumour is true.

The new GT3 RS 4.0 flat-six engine packed with 500bhp with a 200cc increase and 50bhp more than stock 911 GT3 RS. The price sheet also lists a €150,000 sticker before tax, or €190,000 with a 20% VAT, and details options like a satellite navigation system, ceramic brakes and a nose-lift apparatus.

Excuse our inner cynic for a minute, but Porsche has just released another limited edition 911 that screams run-out special.

Joining the ranks of 911 GTS, 911 Speedster, 911 Sport Classic and 911 GT2 RS is the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 – the largest ever 911 engine, bolted into the lightest and most hardcore 911. Only 600 will be available worldwide from July (with about 40 destined for the UK), which is just in time for the release of the all-new 911 in September.

Still, it’s difficult to stay cynical with Porsche for too long. The 4.0-litre GT3 RS will be the closest a road-going Porsche gets to the iconic racing Porsches, thanks to race-bred tech like the crankshaft from the GT3 RSR, and titanium conn rods.

Look carefully at the pictures and you’ll see the little flic winglets on the front bumper. This is the first time a road-going Porsche has got these aero tweaks, which helps total downforce reach 190kg at top speed.

New Bentley Ice Speed Record Supersports

New Bentley Ice Speed Record Supersports - Bentley has announced its most potent and radically styled convertible ever - the 202mph (325km/h) Bentley Supersports 'Ice Speed Record' convertible. This new model, limited to just 100 cars worldwide, is a celebration of the Company's world ice speed record set two weeks ago by Finland's four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen in a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible.

It’s got Bentley’s FlexFuel 6-litre, twin turbo W12 engine, which runs on either petrol, E85 bio-ethanol (means less emissions) or any mixture of the two. It produces 631 bhp, which gets it to 60mph in 3.8 seconds and 100mph in 9.5. Considering it weighs 2850kg – roughly the same as a cathedral – that’s absolutely staggering performance.

The non-Mulliner Continental Supersports ISR, launched at the Geneva motor show back in March, is just as fast and it doesn’t have the stickers. It’s got the same colour options - Beluga, Quartzite and Arctica White – and you get all-black wheels instead of the red ones. You don’t even have to pay extra - both versions cost a paltry £189,300.

Vauxhall Astra GTC Review

Vauxhall Astra GTC Review - The Astra GTC is officially a production reality. Based on last year’s stunning Astra GTC Paris concept car, the production GTC will feature a three-door body with dramatic proportions, yet will be capable of carrying five adults. And it will sport the very best of Vauxhall’s latest technology, as well as unique chassis features.

On a site where we’re today busy discussing the new Jag XF, the Ferrari 550 Maranello and the Koenigsegg Agera R, news about a new three-door hatch from Vauxhall has its work cut out to grab your attention.

But this Astra GTC, with the usual fettling from Vauxhall’s go-faster mechanics at VXR, will form the basis of a 300bhp hot hatch aimed squarely at the impressive Golf R and Audi’s pricey new RS3. And at a much keener price, although all that power will only be going to the front two wheels.

Vauxhall’s new Astra GTC has kept the sharp styling of the GTC Paris concept, judging by these official renderings of the final production car. Order books for the three-door model will open on June 7, when Vauxhall will also confirm full pricing and technical details of the GTC line-up.

New Porsche Cayman R takes to the mountains

New Porsche Cayman R takes to the mountains - Mallorca has blown a very big fuse. This is my first thought upon spearing out of yet another pretty-but-identikit rural village, because as soon as we leave the immediate environs, the night sky wraps around the Cayman like a black velvet shroud, turning the ice-white Porsche into a faintly glowing, unquiet ghost. Being let loose in the new Cayman R, the lightened and tightened version of one of the most useful sports cars in existence, up a Mallorcan mountain road at night sounds quite cool, but believe me, at this point there’s a horrible, gut-boiling sense of frustration running through me like a dirty infection. And it has nothing to do with dodgy tapas.

The fact is that there are precisely no streetlights to give even the vaguest hint as to which way the road goes. Not one. Any ambient starlight or moonglow is diffused by heavy cloud, and the road is simply too twisty to get any solid idea of direction. The wraithlike little Porsche is fitted with the excellent optional xenons, but it's still impossible to drive even vaguely quickly without risking inconvenient death. Worse, the roads are actually pretty good. But you can sense the doomy drops off the inky edges, and the corners have a nasty habit of tightening at the last moment. Like trying to run across a large room in pitch darkness, you can sense the space even if you can't see it, and you belt along cringing, awaiting the moment when you meet the scenery with your face. It's all about confidence, and I appear to have left mine at the hotel.

Richard in the Ferrari 550 Maranello

Richard in the Ferrari 550 Maranello - I’m not going to mess about here: I love the Ferrari 550. Always have. There are those who will forever associate Ferrari with mid-engined supercars, and yes, there is something spectacularly purposeful about a car in which you effectively strap yourself to the front of the engine. But let’s not allow the appeal of the mid-engined Fezzers distract us from those in which the driver sits behind the donkey. For one thing, you get to admire the engine. Five-and-a-half litres of Italian V12 churning away up front makes its presence felt.
Introduced in 1996, the 550 was an upmarket front-engined V12 coupe of the kind not seen since the Daytona. It shared its platform and 5.5 L (5474 cc) engine with the 2+2 456 (Engine Code: F133) but was positioned as the company's highest-end model. The car used a transaxle layout, with the 6-speed manual gearbox located at the back, in-line with the driven wheels. The model number refers to total engine displacement (5.5 litres) and the model name of Maranello refers to the town where the Ferrari headquarters are located.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI Special Edition

Subaru Impreza WRX STI Special Edition - The 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Special Edition adopts some chassis components from the Japan-market spec-C model. The STI Special Edition will go on sale in the price of 2010 for $32,995 ($2,000 less than the standard version). The Special Edition WRX STI will be about as close as the American market will get to a Spec C from the Japanese automaker as it will also ride on the JDM version’s charcoal colored 18 inch wheels.

A while back we had the chance to speak with some of Subaru of America’s representatives and they ensured us that they had seen the errors of their ways when they numbed down the STI into its hatchback only form, but they also promised us that they were going to take steps to make up for it. However if this is any indication of their intentions it is clear that Subaru is skipping the baby steps and taking some pretty significant leaps to return the STI to its performance oriented rally bred heritage.

Performance purists will not be overlooked by Subaru at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show as the Japanese automaker introduces the 2010 Impreza WRX STI Special Edition. Subaru said the special model is bound for showrooms in early spring with an initial limited run of 125 units.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Review

Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Review - The 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 has a kerb weight of 1,575 Kg (3,472 lbs), mainly due to extensive use of carbon fiber, material which has also been applied to the monocoque structure. Price is less and this new super sports car is also equipped with a Haldex all-weel-drive system, so when accelerating from nought to 62 mph (0 to 100 Km/h) the Aventador LP 700-4 requires only 2.9 seconds. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 price is 255,000 Eurp (201,900 GBP / 379,700 USD / 6,270,000 RMB / 39,690,000 Yen) and the first customer deliveries are scheduled for late summer 2011.

The new Bull God will feature an earth shattering 700hp V12 and the highest power to weight ratio of any car in its class. Yes, this is the new, long waited Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.

Lamborghini is really good at creating sinister super sports cars, but it is equally as talented at naming them. According to the company, "Aventador" was the name of a bull that entered into battle on October 1993 at the Saragossa Arena, earning the "Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera" for its outstanding courage. Having the courage to go up against a new world of super sports cars will be the name of the game for the new Lamborghini flagship. Today’s world is extremely high-tech and many new players have entered the arena. Lamborghini has been promoting its carbon-fiber monocoque technology and the Aventador’s 2.9 second 0-62mph, but will that be enough?

Volkswagen Race Touareg 3

Volkswagen Race Touareg 3 - A desert racer and Price is less. This is VW’s Race Touareg 3 concept, based on the endurance monster that took the top three places in this year’s Dakar rally - the two-week race that’s now run across Argentina and Chile’s roughest landscapes. And as you’ve probably guessed, this isn’t some regular showroom-spec Touareg with the body of a real Dakar winner. This is a real Dakar winner, albeit a slightly cosier one, reformatted for us regular civvies.

The 2012 Volkswagen Touareg is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by German automaker Volkswagen since 2002. It was the third sport utility vehicle from the automaker, after the much older Volkswagen 181 "Kurierwagen", and the Iltis (later produced by Bombardier). One even holds the world record for the heaviest load towed by a passenger car, pulling a Boeing 747 as part of an advertising campaign.

Some concept cars merely glisten in the pinpoint spotlights, others could handle serious business if only some auto exec would get drunk enough to let it loose. Volkswagen's Race Touareg 3 Qatar concept is the latter, minus the drunk exec.

VW calls the Race Touareg 3 Qatar concept a genuine rally motorsport vehicle, much like its entry in the Dakar Rally earlier this month. It's street legal and can get from 0-62 in under six seconds. It's clad in 18" BBS wheels and painted in a goldish white "Magic Morning," which as far as we know is not a euphemism.

It accelerates to 62 mph in 6.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 117 mph.

The 2011 Dakar-winning Race Touareg is powered by a 2.5-liter TDI producing 296 hp and 442 lb.-ft, sent through three limited-slip diffs via a 5-speed sequential gearbox and a ZF-Sachs three-plate ceramic clutch. Presumably, the concept has that going on as well.

First drive New Evoque Review

First drive New Evoque Review - The 2012 Evoque and Price offers the usual Range Rover comforts but with extra sportiness thrown in. The Evoque is the smallest, lightest (under 1600kg in certain guises) and most aerodynamic (Cd 0.35) Land Rover in history. It is derived from the Freelander, but with some serious modifications. All of its major suspension parts (MacPherson struts front, multilink rear) have been redesigned for lightness and better geometry; it is the first SUV anywhere to use MagneRide adaptive dampers; and it sets new standards for traction and chassis stability electronics.

This has been like some ridiculously drawn-out teenage tease. The first glimpse of the Evoque was July last year. It has been breathlessly revealing more of itself since then. Now, finally, there's been the first hurried physical contact behind the bike sheds. I got a drive of it.

As I say, though, it was just a quick furtle. The tease goes on for an agonisingly long time yet, as showroom cars won't be launched until summer. This wasn't a road test, but a short drive of prototypes on a test track.

2012 Volkswagen Jetta Reviews

2012 Volkswagen Jetta Reviews - The right place for 2012 Volkswagen Jetta price performance review, all sorts of Volkswagen Jetta info, as well as frequently updated 2012 Volkswagen Jetta pictures. Perpetuating the standards of excellence it established long ago, the Jetta continues to be Volkswagen’s most popular car. The new and improved 2012 Volkswagen Jetta is no exception. The Jetta GL, GLS, GLI, and Jetta GLX are all new for 2012. 2012 Volkswagen Jetta is in its way for making and showing it to global market, there will be changes made from previous versions and they are in the making of those changes. So estimations and expectations of this Jetta model is going around very fast and recently some snaps of this latest Volkswagen are out and it is in disguised form so limit to some estimations only.

The GLI, which features a turbocharged 2.0-liter and a far sportier suspension setup, will be at dealers early next year. We drove a prototype of the Euro-market Jetta 2.0 TSI, which is identical to the forthcoming GLI except for its cosmetics.

As in its other applications, the turbocharged 2.0 serves up 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, the latter from 1700 to 5000 rpm. Turbo lag is kept to a minimum, and there is instant throttle response throughout the power band. The TSI engine produces a muted snarl that should become far more prominent in production cars than in the preproduction model we drove, thanks to a sound generator that will spice up the soundtrack.

Porsche reveals Panamera Turbo S

Porsche reveals Panamera Turbo S - 2012 Panamera Turbo S is new latest of Porsche. 2012 Panamera Turbo S it's faster than an Aston Martin Rapide, a Mercedes S65 AMG, the Maserati Quattroporte, and even the old BMW M5.

The Ultimate Panamera is the Turbo S, the new flagship to Porsche’s four-seater range. Taking the standard Turbo as its base, Porsche has uprated the 4.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with improved turbos with titanium-aluminium turbine wheels and modified engine management software. The result is 550bhp, up from 500bhp in the regular Turbo. Torque also jumps 50Nm to 750Nm in normal running, but this is increased to 800Nm when the Sport and Sport Plus modes of the standard Sport Chrono Package are selected.

If you were to walk into a Porsche dealer today and demand the best of the Panamera lineup, you would be offered a 500 horsepower Turbo model, but if you can wait until deliveries start in June, a 550 horsepower Panamera Turbo S will also be an option. The addition of the Turbo S isn’t exactly surprising, given the sister 911-range already had a Turbo S model. In the Panamera Turbo S, power was boosted to a very healthy 550 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque from a bi-turbo 4.8-liter V8. The 10 percent power bump from the standard Turbo will surely help offset the added bulk of the four doors.

2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Review

2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Review - The 2012 Boss Mustang is hitting the streets once again in the form of the track-oriented Boss 302 unveiled at the Rolex Historic Races at Laguna Seca. The 2012 Mustang Boss 302 and 302 Laguna Seca hit dealerships sometime in 2011 at a price yet to be determined. Figure around $36000 for the base 302. According to the company, the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 is the “quickest, best-handling straight-production Mustang ever offered by Ford.” It pays homage to its track-star forebears by lightening and strengthening key components, juicing up the engine, and wrapping it all in the vintage color schemes that Boss Mustangs are known for still today.

Ford’s group VP of global marketing, didn’t have to fly to California for the debut of the Mustang Boss 302. No one told him to. He came anyway. “I’ve been driving my own Mustang right through the past two Michigan winters thinking about this project,” he says. “From a business standpoint, the Boss 302 shouldn’t have happened. But it happened. My dream for the car was that it would make a lot of money for a guy street racing. It should be a car that winds up on YouTube doing something illegal. I’ve been waiting 20-plus years to launch a car like this.”

The 2012 Boss 302 couldn’t be less like the original - today’s UPS trucks come with more creature comforts than most track-oriented muscle cars from the late 1960s. The new Boss models receive an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, dark metallic dash and door panels, a black shift knob, and cloth seats with “suede-like” center inserts. The GT500’s Recaro front bucket seats are optional. Eleven pounds of sound-deadening material are missing, to allow more of the engine’s uniquely tuned exhaust sound to fill the cabin.

Porsche 918 review

Porsche 918 review - 2012 Porsche Hybrid Spyder's new hyper car was previously thought to be just a concept but soon after its initial unveiling the company announced it would be putting the dramatic drop-top on the market. It will be a limited edition model however, and very exclusive with a limited run of just 918 going into production. Prices will start at 645,000 euro.

With fuel consumption of 94mpg, but a 0-62mph time of 3.2 seconds, the 918 Spyder is set to blur the line between performance and economy as never before. The price has been set at £678,000, which is nearly three times that of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, and almost £250,000 more than the 918’s
predecessor, the Carrera GT.

BMW X3 REVIEW

BMW X3 REVIEW - BMW X3 2012 is latest cars and first drive. The BMW designers and engineers have clearly taken some of the criticism to heart.BMW might claim to have invented the Sports Activity segment, but their competitors have caught up with some pretty decent cars – like the Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, and Land Rover Freelander. Even Koreans Hyundai and Kia, offering smaller, cheaper 4x2 options such as the iX35 and Sportage, are stealing market share.

BMW managed to sell 615 000 of these ugly ducklings. Shows you how much we know. But I can understand why it sold so well. During 2007 I drove more than 20 000km in a 3.0si. The car was built like solid brick outhouse (it even looked like one) and it went like a rocket. So what if it was thirsty, expensive and the ride as hard as Margaret Thatcher? It was a sports car on stilts and I loved driving it.

THERE’S NO WAY one can give a driving impression of the new BMW X3 by not referring to the much maligned car it replaces. Even though motoring writers panned version one for its looks, hard and uncomfortable ride, premium price and cramped interior, a lot of people all over the world went out and bought one.

Chevrolet Colorado LT Review

Chevrolet Colorado LT Review - The Chevrolet Colorado is Chevy's entry in the highly competitive compact pickup segment. As with most of its modern competitors, the The Chevrolet Colorado comes in two basic trim levels: Work and LT. Work models come with cruise control, tilt steering, air-conditioning and automatic headlights. The LT trim is actually comprised of LT1, LT2 and LT3 subsets. Colorado is closer to midsize than compact, and thus offers a reasonable amount of hauling capability without requiring one to upgrade to a more expensive, less maneuverable full-size truck. The Chevy's affordable price makes it particularly appealing to budget-minded truck buyers and fleet managers.

Although it handles capably on-road and off, Chevrolet's compact pickup doesn't really deliver on the power front, due to its weak four- and five-cylinder engines. As the years have worn on, those engines have gained some power, but they don't hold a candle to the more refined V6 powerhouses of rivals.
In this case we're talking the old-fashioned meaning of HD: "Heavy Duty." As one of two GMC heavy-duty full-size pickups, the 2500HD is a true workhorse meant for big-league power, towing and hauling capabilities.
Mazda Motor Corporation today announced the launch of special edition model of the Mazda Atenza for the Japanese domestic market. All models come with an exclusive body color and interior design and go on sale nationwide at all Mazda and Mazda Anfini dealers from today. The Mazda Atenza includes a choice of three body types: Sedan, Sport and Sport Wagon.

These special edition models are new additions to the Stylish Tone Series, products with a stylish atmosphere and color scheme. Their addition expands the series from the original and popular Mazda Demio Casual, Demio Sport and Mazda Axela Sport special edition models.

These are probably the most popular and desirable wagons on the market. This Atenza 23S wagon is in electric blue with 17 inch factory alloy wheels, fitted with Bridgestone Playz tyres in excellent condition.
There are very few marks or scratches on the paintwork. The odometer is certified by AA as correct. The car has been complied by VTNZ and issued with its WOF. The engine has been serviced.

ISUZU WIZARD Mu Review

ISUZU WIZARD Mu Review - The 2012 Isuzu Wizard is a five-door compact SUV that was produced by the Japan-based manufacturer Isuzu.
An exclusive media test drive was held organized by Honda Malaysia for 10 representatives from the local press media. Being a (lucky) media person, I got my first hand experience of the latest baby from Honda’s stables – the all-new Honda Stream. Our ‘test track’ started and ended at Hyatt Saujana Subang, over a 2-day 1-night stay at Swiss-Garden Damai Laut Resort in Lumut, Perak. Only 2 cars were taken for the test where each car carries 5 media persons. Of course, Honda Malaysia guided the journey along the way with marshals at strategic locations.
Over the next two decades, the two-door sport coupe would become the primary performance car in the Honda lineup. Although it was outfitted with relatively powerful engines in later generations, the Prelude was not a muscle car. Excellent handling in traffic especially over 70 mph. Looks good and has buildable engine, Has a smooth engine and good conering characteristics.
