USC has gotten the commitment of 13 year old David Sills, who some are calling the Tiger Woods of football… straight out of junior high.

There’s been a public outcry over this signing but really, if the kids good, and the parents are fine with it, and USC wants him badly enough… what’s the problem?

Carina Damm is a bit of a butterface as Busted Coverage points out, but the rest of her more than makes up for it, as these photos show. Apparently Damm’s called the “Barbie of MMA” which you’d think would be the same as being the skinniest kid at fat camp, but some of these MMA fighters are actually really hot. Possibly the most famous NFL injury of all time, this has seen a lot of renewed interest lately because of the movie The Blind Side which leads off with this clip.

Tyrone Prothro Broken Leg

I remember seeing the replays of this the day it happened and really wishing I hadn’t.

Willis McGahee Blows Out His Knee During National Championship

I’m an Ohio State fan, so saw this one live, but didn’t really realize at the time how horrific it was.

Ryan Powdrell Broken Ankle

Just don’t watch this. Powdrell’s ankle ends up pointing in the wrong direction. I have no idea how I’m going to let my sons play football, watching these videos was a bad idea.

Patrick Edwards Broken Leg

Usually these injuries seem to happen much like Eric Wood’s today, a huge human being rolls over a guy’s leg at an awkward angle, but here we have a WR running full speed into a metal cart that was placed just outside of the end zone for some incredibly stupid reason that hopefully still haunts whoever put it there to this day. The result was a compound fracture and rod in Edwards’ leg.

Napoleon McCallum Breaks His Leg In Front Of The Entire Country

This one gets brought up a lot, because unlike most injuries the entire country saw this one due to it happening during a Monday Night Football game. I probably wouldn’t recommend watching any of these, but this one made me cringe as hard as I ever have in my life. This injury ended McCallum’s career. Have to love Dierdorf’s “Don’t look at this if you don’t want to see it”.

Eric Wood breaking his leg is one of the more gruesome NFL videos you’ll ever see, so if you’re at all squeamish I’d recommend not watching. Real shame, this is Wood’s first professional season and I can’t even begin to imagine how tough it’ll be to come back from something that looks like that.

I was watching DirecTV’s RedZone channel when this happened and Andrew Siciliano said the injury was so gruesome CBS wouldn’t be showing replays, so this is probably the only way you’re ever going to see the injury.

Brady Quinn performed a pretty brutal looking chop block on Terrell Suggs last night, capping off a miserable performance for Quinn and leaving Suggs injured for at least the next few weeks. Ray Lewis called it an “illegal blow”, and saying “When you’re running down and you’re looking at the quarterback going at somebody’s knees who doesn’t even have the ball. I want to see if [Quinn] gets the same fine I got or even higher. Now [Suggs] is out four or five weeks because of some baloney like that.”

Brady Quinn was pretty apologetic, saying “I was trying to make the tackle on [Chris] Carr. I would never wish that upon anyone. I was upset about it on the field. He was someone I worked out in Arizona with. I will be praying for him.”

What do you think? Should Quinn get fined? The ball carrier was definitely in the area, just looks like some bad luck to me.

WTF has Sammy Sosa done to his skin? Sosa’s claiming it’s from a skin treatment, but it looks like he’s got some serious issues. It turns out Florida’s Brandon Spikes is something of a dirty player. CBS ignored it at the time, but fans didn’t, getting this video of Brandon Spikes eye gouging a Washaun Ealey against Georgia on Saturday.

Spikes has been suspended for one half of this weekend’s game against Vanderbilt, a punishment which doesn’t seem all that harsh considering the opponent.
