Symbian^3 will not die (atleast soon that is)

Nokia just stated its future plans for the Symbian^3 OS by calling all its developers.
Expect new devices with 1GHz+ Processors running Symbian^3 OS.
Developers will also work on new updates, which will enhance Web experience, better Sat Nav and the most thing of all, better looking Menu Layout( the picture)
But that begs the question about WP7, will Nokia continue with Symbian as its primary Os when the WP7 hits?
Apparently Nokia doesn't want Symbian users to be forgotten, due to which regular updates will roll out of Nokia .... atleast for now.
Some of these new updates will roll out in the T-Mobile branded Nokia C7 (Astound)

Mobiado and Aston Martin are both luxury product makers and they show off a Phone which is powerful enough to run Android OS, BUT, has a sapphire body which is actually a touchscreen LCD but when off you can see through it :S

As they say these days, what can't they do these days :D

The Phone might not be a Power house but you have to admit it is a looker :P

The Phone looks absolutely beautiful, lets see if this concept lives or not

HTC EVO 3D : Official for both CDMA and GSM

This beast of a device will be hitting the shelves in summer, not only that, it will also be available in both 4G CDMA and GSM flavors.
CDMA versio will have internal storage of 4GB and GSM will have 1GB.
Apart from that it will use snapdragon 1.2GHz Dual Core CPU and 1GB Ram.
It also confirms the 1080p recording in 2D movie mode.

So One hell of a phone we are talking about here.
Can't wait to get my hand on it :)

HTC just announced their smoking hot EVO 3D, which has a 3D touchscreen and loads of new enhancments over the old HTC phones.
Main Specs include:
1.2 GHz Dual Core CPU
1GB Ram
1GB ROM
4.3" qHD(960x540) Touchscreen Display
Dual 5 Megapixel Cameras for 3D stills and 720p 3D video
DLNA
HTC Sense 3.0
Android 2.3
and the usual bluetooth, wifi, GPS and the stuff.

The phone is absolute beauty and the specs look promising, Can hardly wait :)

Sony people gave another hint about the upcoming A77, still no word on the specs but hopefully it will be a semi pro class like the old A700, only with a translucent mirror tech to make it stand out from the crowd.

Sony People just gave a hint about their latest full frame Alpha Camera to hit the markets on 2012, they say that it will feature Translucent mirror technology, which should be interesting.

Sony just released the details regarding the NEX-FS100, which is the pro version of the NEX-VG10.
This means a serious tool to the movie makers, with professional audio recording using the XLR ports and a form factor that allows custom built mounts to be used in specific situations.
This Features an APS-C Sensor/Super 35mm Sensor with the ability to shoot in 1920x1080 60p @ 28Mbps
and some other formats too

Sony Reveals the A700 successor (but not the specs)

This will be the Successor to the Sony's really old Semi-Pro DSLR, the A700
But Sony hasn't disclosed the specs just yet.
but by the looks, it will be a translucent mirror camera.

Canon 600D / T3i and Canon 1100D / T3

Canon announced their new entry level DSLRs couple of days ago (I know I m late)
The 600D uses the same 18 Megapixel APS-C sensor as the old 550D
But now it has an fully articulated screen(same res of 1 million pixel)
Pop-up flash has the ability to control wireless flash guns (impressive)
Movie mode still has the crop function but now with full HD (again impressive)
The rest is same, DIGIC IV Processor, viewfinder, focusing, metering the lot.

Canon 1100D/T3 is the long awaited Budget DSLR by Canon.
it has the 12 Megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC IV Processor
Has Movie mode but only at 720p
and gets the same 9 point AF and amazingly the same metering as the 600D/T3i

Samsung Galaxy S 2 leaked

Specs and a pic of Samsung Galaxy S 2 have emerged on the web.

This one shall use the dual core 1 GHz CPU (probably A9 Cortex)
Ram has bumped to 1 GB
and the Screen goes from "Super AMOLED" to "Super AMOLED plus"
Screen Size goes up from 4" to 4.2" but the resolution stays at WVGA (800x480) rather than qHD(960x540)

Camera goes up to 8 Megapixel with LED flash (finally) and capable of shooting 1080p @ 24fps

Nokia decides to join hands with Microsoft

Nokia decided to use Windows Phone 7 OS as their primary OS in their devices.
Not just that, Microsoft and Nokia have agreed upon a lot of joint ventures regarding telecommunication.
Nokia wants to bring the Windows Phone or Windows Mobile OS to the masses by offering cheaper alternatives and expanding the scope of Windows Mobile/Phone.

Pagani Huayra has been revealed

Pagani Zonda was an awesome Hypercar both inside and out and now there is a new version.
It's called Huayra, and it looks like an evolved version of the zonda, the interior looks better than ever and the exteriors looks like a concept car.
it's brilliant!!!

It uses the AMG V12( same as the old one i suppose)
But now with 700 bhp
and 740 pount feet of torque
And it surely will set new standards

My take on iPad

Ok i m not a total Apple geek, so most of you would be like, shut up out cast.

but i wanna discuss this thing called the iPad
But before that, some explanation of the product

OK that's not actually it.

it's this product right here

First impressions, It's a huge iPod .... End of story???? well not quite
You see it has a bigger screen and the same multi-touch technology as the ipod touch except for the fact it's not widescreen.
OK OK it's a huge iPod Touch and it can play all the apps too.
But what's the point of turning a already slim and small product in to a bigger???
Well, it serves as a huge notebook(actual one) where you can write all the things you want or even use it as a folder to keep your photos and stuff.
This is THAT note book.
The size is decent so that it can be used more than just a pocket audio/video player. The size also gives it a great appeal for being used as a newspaper or a book and apple certainly looked into this matter by introducing the ibook.

And I think that pretty much sums it up, it's a luxury product, it's not essential. it's more of a novelty than a must have gadget.
The only i think of is to pick it up and walk infront of my poor friends while swiping images on the beautiful screen and say .... Hi!

It's a heart breaker.

But being a photographic tool, i think it makes some appeal,
So you are on a photo shoot and you take a huge number of pictures, and you have a representative of your client with you, now you don't wanna show your work on a 3" display of your camera don't you?

solution

you take the iPad out, use a dongle to attach you camera via USB or take out the SD card and use a card reader. then show your work on the beautiful screen where the client the pinch zoom in and out to check out the full details, loves it and wants to show it to the boss, so what do you do then, you simple e-mail them or upload to the respective site right from the iPad (or it's what I think you can do)

and in that regard it makes perfect sense, rather than using a dead photo viewer why not use a device that gives a bit of flexibility to your work and that's exactly what iPad is, it's an enhancer to your work, a catalyst to your productivity, a crown jewel that gives that extra shine, a device that makes you look cool :P

But would you be completely lost without it? .... No

By the way i know that Windows 7 can support multi touch so it won't take long rival companies like sony, HP and Dell to come up with a Windows7 tablet, only difference would be ... they will be more powerful and will have full computer compatibility, which iPad doesn't have, but then that means it will have the same problems of big weight and size, and if you reduce that then you 'll get slow performance with the useless ATOM processors.

So fingers crossed all the PC fans, maybe we 'll get a corei3 tablet that we can slide in our bags :)

Long story short, iPad is definitely an innovation but not a must have
