It hasn't been announced yet, but it's a near certainty that Fox is going to launch MasterChef on Mondays again and is going to start that in May to give it a few weeks of Sweeps action to help juice the numbers before American Ninja Warrior and The Bachelorette come on the scene. I do expect a 2-hour The Following run or two at some point, though, since I don't think they want the show to experience a summer run.

I agree that it would make much more sense to preempt Forever tonight to repeat Secrets and Lies than to preempt it next week for a repeat of itself. Strange.

But there is nothing wrong with CBS I think, they needed yesterday's original and they will need another original somewhere to sync it with 2BG. Because 2BG has 22 and not 24 episodes this year according to TVLine.

They'll probably air the next episode next time it's repeated. I think the 2 hour premiere was mostly for scheduling reasons especially since it got switched with AC that got the Thursday slot.

As for Forever, it's still a new show being repeated and it was over the long break.

ABC: After seeing Secrets & Lies pilot is repeated yesterday, I expected they will repeat episode #2 tonight at 10 PM. No, Forever is airing tonight, and #2 won't be repeated at all. Not before #3 airs, which makes no sense.
CBS: They aired Mike & Molly through holidays, presumably to sync it with 2 Broke Girls. And now it's like they're saying: "Oops, we miscounted it.".

I get that new shows are repeated early to get sampling, but by airing two episodes on Sunday and only reairing one last night how much did it really help with expanding reach since viewers will have missed the other ep?

As for Forever's rerun marathon, that was on an end-of-year night when the only original content was the Kennedy Center Honors. I'm just surprised that ABC didn't try for the third hour and the easy win at 10:00.

I kind of doubt NBC will renew it back for summer ...

I don't get why FOX is scheduling Mondays this way. There are 4 (!!!) original Gotham episodes left to air until May and it is only the first Monday of March!

I think Sleepy Hollow should have gotten a two hour finale and The Following a two hour premiere. Those would be 2 additional solid hours of Gotham to air later on. They probably should have also aired one extra Sleepy Hollow in January to force it to end two weeks earlier.

The way they've scheduled they have too many originals to air in the 9pm hour without time to air them all (the following will end up airing the summer) and not enough originals to air in the 8pm hour until the end of the season, which is pretty poor scheduling.

If I have to pick one, Sleepy Hollow if only because 20th Century Fox produces it. The network and studio need to take the show, though, and have it follow the Once Upon a Time/Grey's Anatomy/Scandal route of split-seasons within the year. There aren't big household names attached to it a la Kevin Bacon so they can more easily convince the producers and stars to get more episodes made per year.

In regards to the CBS comedies, TV Line is reporting that CBS ordered just 22 episodes of 2 Broke Girls instead of the usual 24. Before yesterday, 2BG had a 2 episode lead over MM which would make the episode orders synced if it had 24 episodes and MM just 22. But since both have 22, MM was still 2 episodes short. It will still have to air one more time with repeats.

The amount that CBS is rerunning The Big Bang Theory is incredible this season. It makes financial sense considering how much they are paying Warner Bros. for 3 seasons of the show, but it's absurd; it's going to have more reruns than original episodes by season's end thanks to the regularly scheduled repeat at 9:00.

On a related note, I thought that 2 Broke Girls & Mike and Molly had their episode orders synced up. Guess not if M&M had a new episode tonight. I don't understand why CBS didn't decide to double-pump M&M at the end of the season instead of closing up shop early in May Sweeps like usual to avoid a situation like this. At least it clearly didn't faze the veteran sitcom at all.

If NBC is going to give a face-saving renewal to The Mysteries of Laura, then they should shift The Night Shift out of here and give it a whirl here. I would suggest an out-and-out timeslot swap, but considering The Night Shift is pulling mid 1's here with the strongest lead-in NBC has, the drama would surely sink with a local programming lead-in that's way worse and against solid-at-worst competition (The Middle & The Goldbergs, Survivor, American Idol, Arrow) on Wednesdays.

Surprised that ABC didn't go the 3-hour Bachelor route again, but I guess they wanted extra sampling for Secrets and Lies. That would have made more sense if the premiere weren't 2 episodes.

Probably Sleepy Hollow but they must give it 24 episodes or more if possible. They need to make syndication achievable or else is just throwing bad money after bad money. As for the following, it depends on where it settles obviously, this level is still okay for FOX but it won't hold.
