I was sent two pairs from Uniqso for review purpose. Unfortunately, one pair has some manufacturing faults since it never sticks on the eye ball. It keeps popping out from the eye. I have been told by them that I will be sent another pair at its place. Aww, aint it sweet :)? Anyhow, I will restrict my review to the I-Fairy Hera Brown Circle Lense that has become my ultimate love in all my collection of circle lenses.

I was a bit disappointed to see the packaging. However, you will be glad to remind yourself that in such an affordable rate, you still got something worth beautifying. It comes in a little box that is made of hard paper with bubble mats inside. You also get a free lens kit with every pair you purchase. No lens care card or etc was included in the package. Might be a bit problematic for the first time wearers. There should be a card inside that is intended to make the process of putting on and putting off easy.

They are completely irritation free, soft and are plastic thin. I faced a minor difficulty while inverting the lenses from the vials into the lens case.I prefer that vials should have measured solution that can be transferred easily with lenses. Since the vials had some extra liquid in it, the lens got stuck at the vial bottom whereas all the solution was transferred in the case. I then had to pour some solution back into the vial and threw of the extra amount. Other than this, I absolutely love this pair. See below how do I look while wearing it.

It was my first ever experience to try any circle lenses and I was a bit hesitant at first go. However, the lense care card and how to wear card made every step easy for me. It is a best practice to read the cards and the leaflets very carefully, you receive with your package before giving it a try. I was pleased, that no irritation or redness was observed in the eyes after putting them on. They are in big diameter that are supposed to make your eyes look big. Keep in mind that all the lenses with diameter 14.00 mm are normal eye lenses, whereas all the other with more than 14.00 mm in diameter are big eye lenses.

Fortress: My One Stop Shop for Winter Wear

I used to be crazy for designer made dresses but more than often I found them above my range. I would therefore, prefer copying their designs and would order my tailor to stitch just exactly the same. However, when I visited Fortress Lahore, I jumped up with pleasure and excitement. Loads of dresses, beautifully stitched and designed were available in a very very affordable and easy to reach range.

I wanted to buy each and every dress, but ofcourse no one can empty the banks just in shipping :D. I still bought few dresses I would love to share.

This is Khaddar A-line dress with very intricate thread embroidery that has been embellished with small white beads. It has a very long mustard shawl, perfectly suitable for winters and a mustard pent-style trouser.

The other dress is in white chiffon which I am absolutely in love with :)

This dress is not less than a designer made dress. Pleated with 3 silver brooches make it extra ordinary. Has managed to get special place in my wardrobe. There were many other collections in there, I would love to shop once again.

Hapless Father to Receive Daughter into Pieces- Yells for Help

For me its just another morning, just another day but there are few unfortunate Pakistanis for whom its another beginning of an unending horrific tale. What's their fault? Why are they being treated in every inhumane way? Let's take an over view and try to unveil many faces who claim themselves to be working hard for the common man of Pakistan.

Shamsul Anwar is a poor, unfortunate father of nine innocent children including two twin daughters and seven sons. He has served in Pakistan Army as a Lance Naik for some seventeen years and got retired in 1992. He had everything to be grateful to Allah even after his retirement. However, he had yet to face the biggest trauma of his life in the return of his sincere efforts, and his love for his homeland.According to The News , he caught a terrorist red-handed, who was then busy in planting explosives in Jamia Masjid of Dhoke Gujran at Misrial Road, Rawalpindi back in 2001. The News, further reported that 17 more of the terrorists belonging to the same group were arrested, who were later on shifted to an undisclosed place. After, some five years of this incident, terrorists played a nasty game to avenge this brave man of the nation. They kidnapped two of his sons, Muhammad Yaseen and Faizullah aged 16 and 14 respectively from the school in broad day light.

Terrorists demanded a huge money which ofcourse he was in no state to pay. Shamsul Anwar then contacted police and Army, where he had spent 17 years working for his country men. Sadly, police department shun him away with its traditional humiliating attitude and army too couldn't help him. I personally feel that when 70% of the country budget is being spent on Pakistan Army,then why Army couldn't find any budget to get his son released? Aren't we- The people of Pakistan growing a White Elephant in the form of Pakistan Army? Do we give these many taxes only for generals and colonels of our army? I respect Pakistan Army with all my heart, but this account and several others are disappointing. Army is unable to stop NATO attacks, unable to stop terrorist activities of America & backwater, unable to detect any drones- and so unable to take any suitable action against our enemies. Do we need such an army? An army who has failed to protect its country men?

Shamsul Anwar, got the pieces of his eldest son in a gunny bag. Terrorists had killed his son in the most brutal way. Not even this, they even recorded the whole tragedy and gifted the CD with his son's body pieces to him. This is not the end of the horrific story, brace your mind for even more terror to come. His second son was released by the captors after a long bondage on the payment of a heavy ransom which he paid by selling out his home and some vehicles. Miserably, his second son was injected with poisonous medicines during the captivity and was diagnosed with Blood Cancer. Piteous father had no money left for the treatment of his young son after paying the ransom. He therefore contacted Imran Khan-Chairman of PTI to help him. Alas! Imran Khan who seems to be the apple of all hearts these days, could pay him only Rs 20,000 with a reference chit of Shaukat Khanam Hospital. Administration estimated a bill of Rs 1.2 million!

I just wonder that if Shaukat Khanum has no funds even for this man, then whom for? I don't consider the stats available on his sites authentic that claim to treat thousands of people for free per year. We all know that Pakistan government has failed, but people of Pakistan are expecting a "safe, peaceful revolution" from Imran. All the youth seems to be blind for him, but I always feel confused about him. For me he has a contradictory personality. When he is asked that why does he meet Munter secretly, then he shuns such questions by adopting a humiliating way!

Shamsul Anwar- The unlucky father is these days screaming out loud for the release of her daughter from the same group of captors. Who is going to help him? the so called NGOs, army or the Symbol of Hope- Imran khan?

Let us wait together, for these faces to be unveiled. Meanwhile watch these puppets controlled by agencies!

UPDATE 2: It has been confirmed by various news sources that this guy was a scam and has been arrested. Read here and here. Though its difficult to decide that whom should we believe since the earlier story was also a news story and the later ones too. I am still happy that we all stood for a cause. Its been heard army regiment is trying to send back all the donations.

UPDATE: Few bloggers have given some account numbers to send in donations. However I don't consider them authentic. It might be a fraud, even if it is not- It will activate many other kidnappers demanding heavy ransoms. I would also suggest to not to contact him at the given contact numbers, available at internet. We should pray that authentic NGOs or individuals who have gained enough trust from public, come forward to help this man. IF you want to send donations, contact them.

F or a very long time I was in search of an excellent lipgloss, which instead of making my lips gooey,adorn them with a rich lustrous shine.My search came to an end last week when during shopping I stumbled upon DmGm products in HyperStar Lahore.

I always like natural shades since I donot prefer a face that looks unnatural due to overly done makeup. Therefore, Instead of getting pink this time, I looked for a bit darker,yet neutral shade. I tried coral rose & marble rose. I found both of them totally awesome. However, I picked DmGm Power Shine Color Gloss in Marble Rose. It has a very natural look. Provides irresistible lip shine and high gloss as rightly claimed by the company.

I personally liked the packaging. It has very fine and sharp ends whereas the applicator consists of an extra ordinarily silky brush. Enough to comfort you with an extremely smooth and fine application. DmGm power shine lip gloss gives a natural pout if applied with a single coat. However if you want an ultra high pout you could achieve it by applying three to four coats of it. In this way, you will also receive a mirror shine that will please you without making your lips sticky.

Since after its first use, I have become a fan of this gloss. It leaves your lips shiny and moisturized. If you are a working lady or a party-lady you will definitely want to use it, since you can easily achieve both the looks suitable for office and party just by using this simple gloss. Depending on the number of coats, you can easily attend a party or an office meeting.

Pingos is a light form of snacks. Available in two flavors i.e "Cheese Onion" and "Chicken". They are ring shaped and round. Cheesy flavor is appreciated most by children and teen agers. To be very honest, both flavors are exciting, but I also prefer cheese onion. Having a hot cheesy aroma, with light spices- It is irresistible. Whereas chicken flavor is a treat for spice lovers. Therefore you can say that JoJo foods has once again taken care for both types of people- Those who love light spices and those whose taste buds are always hungry for a food, rich in spices.

Arfa Kareem Randhawa- Counting Her Last Breaths in CMH

Call it a misfortune of Pakistan, or the nature's treachery, after Afia Siddiqui, we are going to lose one another brilliant daughter of our country.(God Forbid) .Due to some unknown health reasons this bright star became the victim of cruel fits and got hospitalized.

It is a point to be noticed, that even after a week of her severe illness, 18 carore people who love her and value her possession are being kept unaware of her immediate health conditions. Arfa, who enabled us to make an eye contact with Pakistan's enemies and raised our heads high with proud and confidence, is now lying hopelessly on a hospital bed where doctors have also given up all the hopes of her recovery. It is being said by some sources that parents have not allowed media to enter or to give live coverages about her. However, i really doubt it. I wish situation isn't as worse as many of us are thinking. Its true that land of Pakistan is now too weak to protect/prevent its rubies and diamond. Agencies around the world come in bright day light and fetch from us, leaving us robbed from our heroes.

According to the news sources, Arfa was under series of fits attacks, and later got caught by epileptic (cardiac) attack, destroying both her brain and heart. It is heart breaking that none of TV channel has reported the event properly, nor the Newspapers have given her illness a two column space. I could find no resutls except in , "The Nation". I demand all the news channels to provide us the full first hand details about Arfa. Currently, she is on the ventilator for last five days. Machines can be turned off anytime, as soon as the parents signal doctors.

Luscious Ultra Shine Lip Gloss - Popsicle (Melon Shimmer)

I had been planning to share my thoughts on Luscious Ultra shine Lip Gloss. I had heard alot about their products so ordered few,online at their website. The one i got for myself was Luscious ultra shine lip gloss in Popsicle- Melon Shimmer.

The packaging- I don't find, something extra ordinary. Still It feels pretty. We all know that buying things online may sometime proves risky. Therefore, I am going to cover all the points I had expected when i saw its swatches at Luscious website. I expected it to be smooth in application, shiny with out the cheap effect of glitter and of thin consistency. Below is the comparison of the swatch on website and on my hand.

I was hoping it to be a beautiful shade of peach, but after application i felt that it has nothing to do with peach. The color is still a pretty shade of pink- a treat for all the pinksters having light specks of shimmer.

To add to my disappointment I found it sticky and of a thick consistency. It possess a smell of sweet bubble gum that is quite similar to its sticky nature. It also feels heavy on lips. I really feel as if my lips are coated with a thick layer of oil or something like that :-/ However, its single coat is enough and lasts long. It will easily stay on your lips for a duration of two to three hours. Moreover, unlike other glosses,there is no need of applying lipstick to form a base for it.

It has a silky brush applicator. I like using it by wiping off all the excessive amount to prevent myself from its gooey feeling. Since the shade is light it is good to be used at work place. If you can compromise on its sticky feeling that this is the lip gloss you should have for MUST! "It nourishes your lips with the powerful antioxidant Vitamin A, C and E", says the company.

Price: I bought it some 6 months back for Rs 395/- but now the company has raised the prices to Rs 465/-

Skin in our body is most vulnerable to the daily pollution, smoke and harmful sun rays. Therefore,many find it challenging to produce glow in the skin. Markets are bombarded with too many products claiming to give your skin a natural glow. I decided to give Saeed Ghani's Face Polish a try. Whats my experience regarding it? I have been using it for two weeks. Honestly speaking i have observed no difference at all. Yet, claiming that it brings an instant glow is highly exaggerated by the company. It comes in 100 ml spray bottle. It is a very runny liquid, more looks like a yellow dyed water. All types of skin can have its safe application. I have a sensitive problem prone skin, but it didn't cause any problem apparently. It has been formulated for a naturally fairer and more even skin tones. Honestly speaking, it doesn't seem to affect my skin, hence neither bringing any positive change nor negative. Massaging sounds most silly thing with this skin polish. Its all liquid, so runs down your cheeks- leaving you nothing to massage your face with. I simply like to spray it on my face when i scrub or exfoliate my skin. It gives a soothing effect after excessive massaging. It may also reveal from sunburn in summers, I reckon.

Saeed Ghani's Skin Polish contains all natural ingredients like rose water, zaffran, multi vitamins and husne yousaf extract. I used to wonder that what really is husne yousaf extract. When I made a search about this term i realized that it has been proved for its soothing effects, concerning skin issues historically. It is collected from the delta of the Nile and revitalizes the skin by removing its dullness. Its been well known for the medication of pimples etc.

Um, since it doesnot show any difference on my face i don't think that its any special product. If you really want to have a glowing skin there are many other things which could show you immediate results. Whereas, According to Times Higher Education-Quacquarelli Symonds, the University of Karachi holds 138th position among the top 425 universities of Asia, said Proff. Siddiqui while speaking to the annual convocation,2011

Even with the high ranking scale, UoK puts its students in the dilemma of considering themselves lucky or unlucky.The students of UoK pursue their degrees under the shadow of guns and in an aura of fear. Regular inside strikes, riots and bomb blasts have become routine visitors of KU for every two-three months. These instabilities affect student's mental health negatively and may harm their personalities. Even in such unfavorable circumstances teachers and students together work hard to achieve good results with combined efforts. However, I don't know that whether being a student of KU is a blessing for me or curse. KU lacks proper management and appropriate planning. Imposing new educational policies without foreseeing the future and its effects is not less than a crime.KU abolished its M.A program few years back. Therefore, graduated students of colleges were forcefully given admission to UoK B.S programe. Students had no other option but to follow the newly imposed policies. You should keep in mind that B.S is a semester program whereas Masters program is annual. B.S being the international mode of studying is not only difficult than Masters but also bears high standards. Students having B.S degrees should be welcomed for jobs, but the attitude of Madre Ilmi is like that of a step mother to B.S students.

I got second position in Mass Communication,2011- but no appreciation for me!

It was a sad moment for me when I acknowledged that due to lack of sponsorships no gold medals will be awarded to deserving students. While browsing on net, I realized that even University of Sindh, Jamshoro that has a total ranking score of 29.00 awards not only gold medal but silver medals too to its graduates. Collecting sponsors and funds is something which should be done by the University itself. When smaller universities are meeting such challenges then why not UoK?

The convocation arranged was the most mismanaged event i ever attended. Students were not called one by one, not even the position holders on stage. UoK didnot even bother to award degrees in the convocation.Degrees are still awaiting to be dispatched via registry.

I on the behalf of B.S students plea to the Vice Chancellor PirZada Qasim and Peer Mazharul Haq-Provincial minister of Education to award B.S students real recognition. They are in no way inferior than Masters students. Look into the matter and provide funds to compensate the emotional suffering of students by conferring them atleast gold and silver medals. My sincere suggestion, that stop corruption and learn something from Punjab government Free Laptop Scheme.Otherwise, we reject this convocation and consider it a mere DRAMA, that was only arranged to fulfil your own hidden agenda!

It contains juniper oil that doesnot only make your skin soft and smooth to feel but the fragrance of black orchid infused,also makes you feel lost within yourself.

Loofah- Easily available everywhere.

If you want to dive into a very special bath, then just get your hands on a loofah and pour a petal size amount of lux magical spell to do the rest of the work. Rub the loofah a bit in your palms to make creamy lather. Donot forget to pre-wet the loofah. Add some more water drops on your loofah to help it preparing a generous lather for you.

My Experience: The major element that helps deciding you in making a choice is "fragrance" when it comes to the selection of products that are concerned with your body. Other factors do play an important role, but this fact cant be ruled out that fragrance is the top most preference. Unfortunately, its fragrance couldnot catch my heart. Its a bit of pungent and smells like rotten vinegar. Though its creamy softness is something to fall in love with, I will definitely not get it again due to its unwanted smell.

Today I am going to review Stripple Chew from JoJo foods. Its a thin rainbow colour chew ofcourse sweet with a bit sour taste. In my childhood i would love to eat such chews.Once again packaging has got all my attention. Just look at the colours of the box and the wrapper of the chew stick.

It comes in a box of 24 chew sticks. A box of JoJo stripples should be every home's need ;) I liked these slim sticks, easy to chew , soft and fun to eat.JoJo stripples has got love from all age groups and both the genders.

Miny Tiny balls are hard candies with sweet and sour center filling. I love them.

Everything from packaging to taste is superb. These round hard candy balls are a blast of sour center and you will enjoy chewing every ball. The colours RED and SILVER selected for its packaging are appealing enough to standout in the crowd of several uncountable candies. The front side is glittery red and the back side of the wrapping is bright silver.

Since I like doing experiments and mini researches for my reviews, I made a little research about JoJo's miny tiny balls too. I threw few of the packets towards my little cousin and found out that as expected every child (both girls and boys) was equally interested on this surprise candy throw. However, the eating habits of girls are a bit different than boys. I noticed that little baby cousins are enjoying them more as compared to boys. You might be well aware of the fact that girls taste buds invite more "sour edibles" than those of boys'. The Daily Science published the findings of the largest study conducted jointly by Danish Science Communication, food scientists from The Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE) at University of Copenhagen and 8,900 Danish schoolchildren on the ability of young children to taste. The study proves, that boys have a sweeter tooth than girls.

If you are a girl yourself, and a teen-age then i bet you are going to fall in love with these sweet & sour hard candy balls. Give it a try ;)

Since the holy month of Islam has started I was thinking to make a post relevant to the month. Muhharmul Haram has equal importance for both the sects of Muslims whether Shiites or Sunnis. Luckily I have got some very rare pics of Zam Zam plant in holy Kaaba. I would love to share these snaps here.

I requested a fellow blogger Ibn Hanif to collect these pictures before Haj season. We all have seen the pictures of Kaaba, Mosque Nabwi and other religious places. But very less importance is given to the Zam Zam plant. I just wanted to see that how it is controlled. To my surprise, it was totally different than what I had in my mind.

I pray that May Allah gives all of us a chance to visit Holy Kaaba and perform Haj atleast once in our lives. Amen

I bought this lipstick kajal from Saeed Ghani (Ravi road Makro branch) and is my ultimate love these days. Whenever i go out, I just run it in my eyes. It makes my eyes look big and beautiful. There are many lipstick kajal available these days, but if you are running on a low budget you might like to prefer Saeed Ghani's Kajal. It will cost you only Rs 150/=

Its quite black, and handy. You can easily carry it in your clutch bag or purse. Take it wherever you want, and redo your eyes whenever you feel like. It feels bit creamy and doesn't irritate. It runs very smoothly. Luckily, it possess no smell at all.

The only thing I disliked in this kajal is that it stays in eyes for just few hours. After that it starts wearing off from its right place and melts downwards. It gets spread below your eyes and eye corners. You will want to wash your face and eyes properly after 3-4 hours.

PTA Imposes SMS Filtration- Practical or Impractical?

After hue and cry of bloggers, social activists and hackers against porn sites PTA has finally taken steps to ban sites promoting obscene and explicit stuff in any form of graphics, images, illustrations or text. According to the officials PTA has already sent a list of 150,000 websites to ISPs, mobile phone service providers and international bandwidth providers to bring this ban into practice. However, ISPs and the other mentioned service providers have shown reluctance to help PTA in this regard, as it may enforce a lot of unwanted-load on the service providers in the form of excessive filtration.

After taking this really solid step, PTA has made one another strong decision of imposing SMS filtration to ensure the safety of the subscribers. The words to be abolished are both Urdu and English Origin. According to the list complied by PTA, English list contains over 1000 words whereas the list of Urdu has some 550 words. I must say if this is implied in its true sense it can help in raising the social and moral standards of our society that is day by day coming towards its downfall. When every institution plays its role sensibly, only then can a society achieve highest degree of standards in the required fields. Earlier PTA banned bulk marketing messages,unsolicited calls and messages. However, PTA should accept that neither the imposed bans work, nor the ever-evolving laws and regulations formed by PTA are ever followed. May be they are too impractical to be followed? Probably PTA responds to all orders and pressures from government , and social activists" firmly" with no homework or planning. If we look few months back, we will find out that Rehman Malik ordered PTA to block unregistered SIMs overnight. Though PTA welcomed the orders (as it had no other option) mobile operators protested against this impractical decision due to several reasons.
There are still a number of unregistered & unverified SIMs working in Pakistan. Still mobile users are getting bulk and spam messages daily in their inboxes.

It is also a surprise for us to know that PTA has got its hands on filtering devices which could filter thousands of bulk SMS' content released the every other hour. Few years back, a ban was imposed on anti-government sms messages including a special ban on sms containing disgracing and degrading words for Mr.President and Prime Minister. We all are well aware of the fact that PTA could not come up with any device or way to control such messages.

At the end, I am of the opinion that if PTA is really determined to place a ban on these over 1,500 words from being broadcasted via text messaging then PTA has a golden chance to collect applaud and appreciation from the mature and educated sector of the society. However, I do wonder that why on earth has PTA thought of banning words like deposit, lotion, kill, killer, taxi, tongue, fairy etc? I also oppose ban on religious terms including JESUS CHRIST. Also ban placed on medical terms may be a big hurdle for medical students. SMS being the most cheapest way of communication, helps all the student in their discussions with each other. However the words that are purely abusive and dirty are good to be banned.

I wish and hope that PTA may really brings good with this step, otherwise PTA has really added to the "Treasure of Mughalizat" as expressed by Faisal Sabzwari on twitter. Moreover, if PTA is really concerned about society upto this extent then why PTA hasn't formed any legislation to stop the vulgarity being promoted due to the circulation of their own-complied lists of banned words at blogs, personal pages and at social networking websites?

P.S: Banning explicit SMS content isn't something new in the history of world telecommunications. China revealed a similar blacklist this year.
