Effective September 16th Sprint will no longer allow you to return items after 30 days. Instead you’ll need to return your phone within 14 days of purchasing. Again fueling the debate as to why is that it could have something to do with Sprint possibly getting the iPhone 5.

If that’s true, then we may see sprint do away with the unlimited data plan, and all the other things that make sprint a decent phone company.

Would this have affected your recent sprint purchase and return? Let us know in the comments.

Will the iPhone 5, due out sometime this fall, be heading to Sprint? This report from MSNBC seems to think the rumor is true and is letting us all in on the juiciest gossip of them all. The iPhone 5 is set to launch in mid-October according to all these rumors.

Does that mean that the iPhone 5 will come with a fast network on Sprint, 4G ready, and have a data plan that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? Or will Sprint jump on the band-wagon of tiered data plans just like everyone else?

This will be the biggest question of them all. If Sprint sticks with it’s $69.99 plan and you can get an iPhone ta boot, that would be the ultimate FU to Verizon and AT&T who have been upping their rates to the point of ludicrous speed.

We’ll keep you posted on this gem.

Bad news for RIM has been hitting the airwaves recently saying that the demand for the Playbook is low, so low, that Sprint has announced it won’t be bringing the tablet to it’s network anytime soon. Shall we be the first to start the rumor mill a churning?…

OK, why not. Does this mean that the iPad may spread it’s wings to yet another carrier as it did to get to AT&T and Verizon? Will the iPad come to Sprint’s growing network and happy… er… happier? customers? We’re not sure but it’s fun to speculate.

Or maybe with the new Google Motorolla deal they’ll be looking for some new action in Android tablets.

Instead Mashable.com is reporting…

“The campaign introduces a new tagline, “All. Together. Now,” and uses The Beatles song of that name (performed by another artist). The ad features consumers interacting via Facebook, video chat, text messages and email to underscore how such usage can occur with Sprint’s Simply Everything data plan, which lets customers use their mobile phones without worrying about data overcharges or throttling.”

The Beatles are everywhere these days it seems like.

For the most part it’s the same across the board. Their customer service sucks!

We’ve even had sprint reps land on our pages and on our sprint rants pages and even some of them dislike the service provided by spring so much that they let us know just how much they dislike it.

It appears that sprint will forever be the company with the worst customer service.

As quick as I wrote about Sprint replacing my broken phone easily they’ve gone and taken the option away. Or so I’ve been told in a recent interaction with Sprint.

As you may have read, Sprint allowed me to replace an obviously defective phone. The phone in question was a Moto Q and the screen suddenly went blank on me. I took it in, and $50 later, I received a new phone. I didn’t have to have the insurance which sucks because you need to send the phone to a different location and receive it by mail. Instead, Sprint replaced it with a phone they had in-house.

Well, my phone broke again, this time due to my own causes, so obviously I was going to pay for the replacement, but then I asked about this new replacement service. Just for fun. And to my surprise, less than a year later, they’ve done away with the service. No more replacing of phones for $50.

It must be because this would allow Sprint to have too much customer service. Something that they are definitely not known for. Obviously it must be because they were losing money from it. Right? Losing money or not on the short term by replacing phones is one thing, but what about the long term effects? What about all those customers just looking for a reason to go to AT&T?

Just another thing that you can rant about as a Sprint customer.

Who new sprint was doing this!?!

I walked right into a sprint store after my MotoQ 9c had a screen go blank and 1 hour later got a new phone. Actually it wasn’t that easy, but much easier than my last sprint phones that have gone down.

While on vacation the screen on my MotoQ 9c went blank. Everything else worked, except the screen. I could feel the thing vibrate indicating I was getting email, it would turn on, and very very very faintly I could see the home screen, if I was in the light.

So I went to the first store. They said, sorry we’re not a service center, but if you take it to the service center at XYZ Sprint Store, they’ll be able to either fix it or replace it. Great, gotta pay $500 for a new phone I thought. Nope, the rep told me it would be between $25 and $50.

So I called around, and had to speak to a few supervisors, and sure enough, 3 calls later, I found a guy who said, no problem, we’ll just replace it with an in-store phone if we don’t have a direct replacement.

Sure enough, $50.

So the story is, take your phone to a service center, ask for a supervisor, and hope that the phone gets replaced….

This rant just edged out our previous long rant about Sprint still Sucking. A quick excerpt before you all head over there.

1/30/07 I received a bill for $633 (early termination fee for 3 phones & a late charge). I called Sprint customer service rep (Princess) and explained the story again. After our conversation, Princess said that the account would be closed and I would receive a statement saying a balance of 0. She also said that I could call back after 48 hrs to see if the issue was resolved.

Sprint, who is known for horrible customer service, both on the phone and in the stores, is cutting 5,000 jobs says a new report from Cnn Money.

The cut comes from Sprint/Nextel realizing “lower margins” says the report. A realization that sent shares of Sprint tumbling 8%.

I can’t see how cutting jobs can result in better customer service, not that that’s what they were saying would happen, but that’s what I’d want. And probably you’d want. Better customer service is what they should focus on and maybe they wouldn’t be the 3rd biggest mobile provider behind AT&T and Verizon.
