Of Solitude and Solemn, the solo project of talented multi-instrumentalist Joe Hawker (a.k.a. DarkNoctus), has
released a new track called "Illuminance", and it's currently available from streaming at soundcloud. The song's
musical style is a continuation of that in his eponymous EP, Of Solitude and Solemn, which offered an intoxicating
blend of post-metal and doom. Joe Hawker has commented that "Illuminance" is a "one-off experiment" at this
point, unmixed and unmastered, and will not appear in the debut album.

After successfully reaching their goal on pledgemusic.com, Hawthorne Heights have
released artwork, track-listing, and song previews from all songs featured on their fifth
full length album - ZERO, which is set to be released on June 25th.

Drummer Eron Bucciarelli explained the concept of the 15 track album to Alternative
Press magazine: "Just to give everyone a bit of insight on the concept behind the
record — Zero, at its core, is a story of good and evil. The setting is a dystopian future
where a totalitarian corporation has risen to power in the wake of a disaster, "The
Fires". Zero is an account of the events from the perspective of the main character in the
story, "Baker". The album's tracklisting is based upon those events.

The story takes place in 2017 — or so THEY would like you to believe. In reality, the year
is 2015. The people know little, they're angry, and they know something isn't right; that
they've been lied to! Life used to be so nice, they used to be kids - driving around with
friends, listening to music - no cares in the world. And as bad as things would sometimes
get back then, they are nothing in comparison to what the people are experiencing now.
This is only the tip of the iceberg. To delve deeper into the story, you'll have to delve
deeper into Zero."

Washed Out new album

Chillwave artist Washed Out has announced that the follow up to 2011's Within and Without is coming this summer. The new album will be called Paracosm and will be released on August 13th via Sub Pop. A single titled 'It All Feels Right will also be released soon.

Washed Out will be teaming up with producer Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Gnarls Barkley) once again and, according to a press release, he will also be working with a variety of 50 instruments for this new album including samples.

New A Wilhelm Scream Album

In a recent live Q&A session and interview with PunkNews.org, A Wilhelm Scream bassist Brian Robinson confirmed that the band's fourth full length album, titled Party Crasher, will likely be released sometime this Summer, possibly in June to complement a tour with The Flats and Such Gold. It will be the band's first full length release in six years.

At midnight in Tokyo, Boards of Canada streamed a brand new surprise video on a screen in Shibuya. While the actual content of the video is a mystery, it presumably contained new material from their upcoming release, Tomorrow's Harvest.
