As in the year of 2009 i went to a group a conferences about Social Media, Upload 2010 was one of the most popular conferences in Portugal.
Wonderful speakers, great for networking and inspiration.
Made me realize that what count nowadays are people interaction and a more warm-full personal relations.

End of summer vacation tests

Hello to all,

I'm back to work and to the on-line.
Last Saturday in been testing C4d R12 and some of its new features.
The course continues and will take me throw the use of mo-graph dynamics.
The following render was made during the breaks of the class!
Just some parametric array fun!

This one are just some test over the classes .

Meanwhile if followed one book on biped for 3dsmax and end up doing this bunny animation.
Some problem with weighted vertices's but it was just to test the motion!

And finally i ended the course of animating a walkcycle in Maya by Digital Tutors.

Soon i will begin producing a corporate movie for a worldwide popular drink, filming with some cg products as characters. It promises to be fun!

What a great month for get a new start...

Hi everyone,
its August and i found myself in the lead of new projects.
Just start to lead Digital Marketing at my current company.

And still i reserve some of my time to read and pratice the black arts of cinema and Cgi.

I have some tests from Fxphd April course but i haven't edit them.
Several new directions have been selected to trial and test.

1. Cinema edit and storytelling, creating cuts and understand the logic of cuts, shots, dialogues.

2. Acting in CG.

with Chris Kirshbaum Dvd

Using Maya 2010 and realtime render.

All great Books, really useful reading, about film-making in general, digital resources,
editing , helping actors to take the best of their perfomances, sound recording...

I´m almost at the end of the April term of FxPhD and working in stereoscopic it´s all the new hype.
Plan to have available soon , some different you tube tests.

Recently i´ve been invited to re-render an old scene , for using in a commercial presentation.
The scene feature a full 3d representation of my head, plus blend shapes ( morph targets ) and hair and fur module.
Was rendered using Mental Ray hair prime and fast SSS skin.(2009 technique )

At my current company were developing some new visual for some of our brands,later some more info on this!

One of several challenges is to have low cost solutions for creating visual appealing content,
the next video illustrates the solution used for the need to shoot a "sexy" invitation
using location in the mood of the project.
A home made Green screen + shotting on Dv Cam + Editing +compositing and color correction was the solution.

Celebrating my daughter´s 3 months old, i´ve create a short film, using a new Canon 550D.
The goal was to produced an emotional piece.
Hardware used: Canon 550D ( shotting at 1080p ,25fps and 720p 50fps ), Canon lenses 18-55mm and a 55-200mm both 3.5-5.6.

Hi to all, its been a demanding project pick up all from the ground, creating job opportunities, updating knowledge and software and creating teams...
Maybe someday i will have some new test to post, or some new movie i have worked to show, until then just give to all this reading tip.

Hi everyone its been difficult to update my blog, since my baby girl as born!
My efforts in video are being apply in motion graphics and soon in a new media department.
As soon as possible i will be updating my video portfolio, with the newest videos from my current company, until that time i leave you with updates in my video portfolio, some exercises in maya , and tracking test.

Easy enough for fast non realistic deformations.

Hello, recently i was evolved in the video capturing process, for my company.
Testing the current material available, i found a Canon Mx1 Pal Dv.

Cool camera that as great quality and fancy lens.

Here's a first test using the camera, a tripod and after effects for color grading.

An oldie, a stopmotion test using my canon 350D 18-55mm lenses

Well it looks like a great mess my study but i have to going on 2 side batle of software.
First Autodesk Maya its my first choise and im transfering all 3dsmax knowledge to it, and then i have Cinema 4D that its use on my current company.

Just finnish reading "Learning Autodesk Maya Foundation", and going on with some Lynda.com Tutorials.

For C4d just got at my work this fancy rigging tutorial:

Hello eveyone, i´ve just settle down.
Work in a project at Arqui 300 ( architecture pre -visualization company)
creating content for a dvd movie and website Picture Portugal .

But now i was hired by a design and advertise company
called Up-Partner.

This new company has a Cinema 4d pipeline, and i´ve been quite happy re-learning this tool.
Soon i will post on you tube.

Also learning motion graphics from Video Copilot great learning tools!

Hi there, recently been very busy, finishing projects at my company, some of then really cool stuff and still have a lot to complete, before setting my suitcases to Lisbon.
The first one is a tree and roots for a shopping mall advertise l in Aveiro, Portugal.
It was model in 3dsmax, and detailed in mudbox.
Quite fun, i have a tutorial about this one soon.
