            <description>There is suddenly an interest in who and what the Fabian Society is, and how it may or may not affect the policies and principles of Barack Obama in his role as possibly the next President of the United States.

There is a lack of interest in outside philosophies in the US today that I find worrisome. It is frequently useful to examine the thoughts of others to clarify our own thoughts. Sometimes this will help to find flaws or holes in our own logic.

IMHO it is the sign of a small and closed mind to dismiss the thoughts and concerns of others out of hand and without seriously considering the merits of another's point of view.

This is in no way an endorsement of the principles of the Fabian Society, but hopefully will serve as an introduction into their core principles and beliefs.
