The Mark of The Druid is a fantasy novel that explores a past life of the two main characters, Eve McCormick and Andrea McMurray - where they are Druids in an ancient celtic clan. However, the story is not just set 1000's of years ago and our main characters reliving it. Rhonda skillfully weaves their present day activities with their past live experiences. Paying It Forward is based on the concept of the movie "Pay it Forward". It is based on the premise that acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return. The acts / deeds are just passed on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness will do the same. Recently, I was involved in a discussion about what each of us had done to Pay It Forward that day. I loved the responses that were given - as it gave me other ideas on what I could be doing. It also helped me to realize that I did a number of things each day, that for me were 'normal' but may be considered by others as a 'random act of kindness'. Twilight is the first book, in a series of 4, written by Stephenie Meyer. The Twilight novel was released in 2005. Although the movie has received rave reviews, it all started with the book by Stephenie Myers and although I wasn't convinced initially, I thought the basic premise of the book sounds a little cheesey, I have to say I was really impressed! I read the book with little to no idea about it after giving it to my son for Christmas. I 'borrowed' it on Christmas Day and finished it that evening... I really enjoyed it. The 2nd book, New Moon, took me a day to read as well. I'm now patiently waiting to read the other two books -- our local bookseller had sold out! These amazing photographs show the different effects that occur. These photographs are not the result of someones creativity with Photoshop! These were taken by Norwegian sailor Oyvind Tangen from aboard a research vessel. The iceberg photographs were snapped in an area several hundred miles north of the Antarctic.
