Giraffes are such elegant and beautiful animals. The giraffe is the tallest of all animals, growing up to 18 feet high, with neck's as long as 7 feet. I love giraffes! Don't ask me why. I love animals, so surrounding myself with them in my home is comforting. The giraffe is not an animal you would think of as a pet, but I would love to have a pet giraffe!

I recently went shopping for a laptop computer. I am not going to focus on a number of choices here. I am focusing on the one that I believe you will love and want to get. I did alot of research to decide this was one of the better laptops in an affordable price range for what I wanted. As a photographer I wanted a good amount of hard drive. This has plenty of space on it for me at 640 GB. I'll tell you more about this great computer on this lens and why I think you would love it too whether you are a photographer or not. I love giraffes! I have noticed many cute giraffe things for babies. If I were to have another baby I would do the nursery in giraffe theme. Every time I had one of my children I always picked a theme for each child. One was hearts and for another one I did elephants. Giraffes are such sweet and gentle animals and I absolutely love them. I think they are a perfect pick for a baby them, for your baby shower and to buy for your child as they grow.

Death of a loved one

Death Many of us have experienced the loss of a loved one, the loss of a marriage, a relationship, loss of money, home etc. Most of us will at one time or another go through the grief of loss. I faced loss the hardest at 29 when my stepdad died of cancer. He was only 65. It happened fast from the time they told us he had cancer to the time he died. He had esophogeal cancer. It took him in 6 months. I still remember the day we found out. It was labor day and we were having a barbecue to celebrate as a family. He cooked the barbecue, but as he began to eat, he started throwing up and could not stop. Of course this prompted an emergency room visit where we found out he had a tumor in the throat area- hence the esophogeal cancer. They took the tumor out and told us he would be okay. I had a feeling he would not be okay as I noticed he had trouble keeping his balance. My mom and him had been married 18 years when death came to claim him. It was very hard to let go of him. It was the first major loss I had experienced. My heart ached for a year. After that I still missed him terribly but each year has gotten easier. I guess you always miss someone though and have trouble understanding they are gone in your heart. I know that is how it has been for me. This is my top ten list of reincarnation books. This is a topic I have read books about, explored and believe in. Many of these books have explained much for me. I have been exploring reincarnation since I was 16. I went to a Lutheran School from Kindergarten to 8th grade so I have the roots of Christianity. I love Jesus! I pray many times a day. I feel a good connection with God. For me there is not a conflict between believing in reincarnation and believing in God. I started out reading Edgar Cayce books on this subject. I read Shirley Maclaine's Books on the subject as well. By the time I was 21 I was married and went to someone to be regressed to past lives as a therapy to find answers about my life. It is now 20 years later and I can regress myself and have been able to do that for many years. I can also regress others to a past life. I took a hypnosis class and I have spent the last 21 years or so meditating alone and in groups. I believe in reincarnation. I know of some of my past lives, not all of them. It is not like people think, that you are someone famous always. We can't all be someone famous in a past life. On the other hand some surely have been those famous people. For me I explore reincarnation for the deeper implications, to understand on a deeper level why things happen, why life is painful for some and easy for others, why some die young and others live to old age. Wild Animal Print Dishes

I love animal prints! I have a set of giraffe print plates which is my favorite animal. I have giraffe print in alot of things. I do love other animal prints also especially zebra and leopard, but I recently noticed peacock dishes that I also thought look pretty cool. To me animal prints are cool and earthy. I don't like them because they are trendy. I will wear a leopard print top whether it is in style or not because I just love animal print and to me they don't ever go out of style. I put different animal print items for the kitchen below, some of which are from Amazon and some are from Zazzle.

Nikon 55-300mm Lens

I bought this zoom lens over a year ago and it became my favorite lens right away. In fact I have not taken it off my camera since I bought it since most of my photographing is nature, flowers, birds and landscapes. It has a great bokeh in the photos. It is great for getting pictures of birds, bees and butterflies or anything that is not close to you. You can see my hummingbird picture below. You can also see more photography I took with this lens on my Youtube video I made. It is not a macro lens but I love the floral photography it does take. It depends what you prefer. Some people love bokeh in the images and some prefer to be able to see everything in the image. For me that depends what I am photographing. For landscape images I prefer to see everything. For flowers I prefer the bokeh as I think it makes the flower stand out so much more and it looks much prettier. This lens is not a good portrait lens. I finally got a 50mm lens which I think is great for portraits as well as indoor photography. If you are looking for a macro lens Nikon has ones that are specifically for that. I think this lens does pretty good when I compare the flowers with the macro lenses and this lens. With Macro lenses you have to get closer to your subject so I do not prefer them. Bees like to buzz around flowers so I would rather not need to get so close to them that I am bothering the bees. This lens gives you a nice distance from your subject, so if the subject is flowers, you can get nice ones with the bees. I have taken quite a few with bees especially zinnia flowers and sunflowers.

To me Annie Leibovitz is an American icon. I recently watched a documentary on OWN- Oprah's network and got to know her and her photography better. I love photography so of course I have an interest in talented photographers. To me there is an art, an ability to "see" that is present in great photographers. Annie Leibovitz has that ability to see and her photography is quite poignant. She has photographed many famous people such as John Lennon with Yoko Ono, Meryl Streep, the Kennedys of whom she is shown photographing Maria Shriver and family in the documentary. She has a down to earth way about her while she also can penetrate human nature and see what others miss. She used to photograph for Rolling Stone magazine and now works for Voque and Vanity Fair. I don't know what it is about dragonflies but I really love them. There is something mystical and magical about them. In fact native americans consider dragonfly medicine to be about the dreamtime and what is illusionary or a facade that we accept as reality. Recently Zazzle partnered with a company called American Mojo to offer these high quality hand sewn pillows. I have one and can tell you that they are a very good quality. They are large in the throw pillow size and very plump and fluffy with a strong cotton case. It comes with the insert as well. I actually threw the pillow as is in the washer and dryer and it came out great. It is my dream to one day go to Italy. I love so much about it. From around the world this country charms me. There is so much beauty in their art and architecture. I love the romance of Italian Renaissance art. The entire country seems to have a romantic air about it, like for example, look at the canals of Italy where you can go on a gondola ride, or the hills of Tuscany with it's simple beauty. Cards for Father's Day

My father and stepfather both passed away in 1999 and 2001 so father's day is not easy for me, but it is getting easier. I know there are many out there still celebrating this day and I would too if my dads were still around. My father was a wonderful man. He loved the Angels baseball team and died right before they won the world series. He served our country in the Vietnam War. He went to U.S.C. and got his master's degree. He taught me to catch a baseball with my bare hands and how to throw and pitch like a guy instead of like a girl. He helped me when I needed it. He danced with me at my wedding. He loved me no matter what. My stepfather was also a wonderful man. Everybody loved him. He was fun and loved to laugh. He raised me with my mother since I was 10 years old. He taught me how to drive at 16. He danced with me at my wedding. He was there at the birth of each of my three daughters. He helped me when I needed it. He loved me no matter what. I bought the book Nikon D3100: From Snapshots To Great Shots to go with my Nikon D3100 camera and help me to learn to use it. I am new to SLR cameras and this book seemed like a good supplement to have. One thing he will recommend you do is to set your image size to the biggest size. He writes that quality is more important than quantity, besides at the biggest size you can still fit 550 pictures on a 4 GB card. I bought an 8 GB card so for me that is about 1100 pictures.

I write poetry and have books of my poetry for sale. My love of poetry started with this man: Shel Silverstein I love the book Where the Sidewalk Ends! I got it as a child and would read it over and over. It is full of poems children will love. My third grade teacher used to read it to us during class. That is how I learned about this wonderful author and book at the age of 8. To this day I recite his poems to people. I have loved feather jewelry for a long time. I have a few different kinds such as an ear cuff and necklaces. I wore the ear cuff so much that it wore the feather out. My favorite way to see or wear feathers is so that it falls in with your hair. The singer Jewel did that for a while, similar to my feather ear cuff. You only wear the ear cuff on one ear, though I suppose you could wear it on both. Naturally I love feathers as earrings, but they are just as cool as necklaces and around the waist.

I love teddy bears! This is something that almost anyone of any age wants. They are cuddly and cute and make you feel good. One of my daughters that is a teenager has one of those huge brown teddy bears that she makes sure to have with her. It is so big it is like one of those pillow chairs rather than a stuffed animal which I think is pretty cool. I would rather kick back in the arms of a teddy bear than a boring pillow. This white teddy bear was given to me by my sweetheart on Valentine's day. It just sits in our room, but I love it. It is very soft and cuddly like I think teddy bears should be.

I love Rumi's poetry It has inspired me to like no other poet's poetry. Who is he? Jelaluddin Rumi was born in the region today known as Afghanistan in 1207. His family fled the Mogul invasion to Konya, Turkey where he spent most of his life. Rumi following in his fathers ancestral line became a scholar until his meeting with the wandering dervish, Shams of Tabriz. I am a poet and am drawn to Rumi's poetry like no other. There is something about what he speaks about in his poetry that I relate to, a language in his writings that I understand, that captures me. Checkered squares are a great way to add a touch of color or a line of matching items such as tablecloth, napkins and towels to your home. I love the way they look. The red can give you that Italian bistro feel, the black and white can make you think of racing or to me it has a look of elegance to it. The pastels add a soft elegance to your kitchen or living room. It is believed that animals can be totems for us in our lives. The native americans strongly believe in the power of animals as spiritual allies. Each of us can possess the attributes of different animals. In this lens I will name some animals along with their medicine. See what animal you resonate with, whether it is on this page or not. An excellent book for researching this topic is "Animal Speak" by Ted Andrews. I have had my copy of this book for many years and refer to it often. I am cherokee by heritage but have never embraced these ancestors of mine, though I do resonate with native american beliefs for the most part. I have learned many of the ways of a medicine woman and native american teachings in my twenties. I supported my teacher through her vision quest. Creating Happiness

As the Dalai Lama says: There are two ways to create happiness: The first is external. By obtaining better clothes, better shelter, and better friends we can find a certain measure of happiness and satisfaction. The second is through mental development, which yields inner happiness. However, these two approaches are not equally viable. External happiness cannot last long without its counterpart.... However, if you have peace of mind you can find happiness even under the most difficult circumstances. I love the Dalai Lama. If you ever seen him he is such a cool person. He is happy and childlike in a good way. He writes many books and I love what he has to say as he talks about compassion, kindness, love, tolerance and characteristics like these as being important and a big piece of happiness.

I have spent most of my life not giving myself enough credit. I have been plagued with self doubts, second guessed myself often and not given myself the recognition and credit that I should. Maybe you can relate to these statements. I grew up with a grandfather who did not believe you should be boastful but he took that too far in that he thought you should not believe in your self or feel good about yourself. So, this belief trickled down to my mother and to me. I have had catalysts in my life that have shifted my sense of self, my self worth and my habit of not giving myself credit. I will share what helped change things for me on this lens.

I have always loved and been attracted to bohemian fashion and accessories. This intro picture proves that. It is me as a teenager which is when my love of all that is bohemian started. The top was my mom's from the sixties. The skirt is tie dye and was made by my mom. The year was 1987 and I was 17 and a senior in high school. I still love the bohemian look to this day. I think of bohemian as a free spirit, an artist, one who is down to earth, friendly, easygoing and kind and loving.

I love sunflowers. They are big, bright and beautiful. They were actually named sunflowers because their appearance bears a resemblance to the sun or at least reminds one of it. Much like a sunny day sunflowers with their beautiful cheerful color also brighten one's mood. Don't you agree? Whenever I see a bouquet of sunflowers I instantly feel a lightness. The Story of A Vietnam Veteran

This is a story I hesitate to tell but feel inspired to do so. It is the story of my father. He was born in Pennsylvania in March of 1942. This put him at the right age to be drafted during the Vietnam War. So, in 1968 he had to put college on hold and went off to fight in a war Americans did not believe in. He fought and served our country at a time when people did not honor our soldiers. When he got home no one said thank you but rather they hated our soldiers. (image is of my dad in Vietnam)

When my daughters were babies I used these cloth diapers Natural Baby catalog They sell different earth friendly items there, my favorite was the cloth diapers which are a superior quality to any cloth diapers you find in stores today. They seem pricey but really are not if you do the math on buying disposable diapers. It helps greatly to use cloth diapers and it is not as bad as it seems, especially if you breastfeed which I did. You can buy covers for these diapers at Gymboree and they also sell them at the same company that makes the cloth diapers here diaper covers Disposable diapers is new to this and the last century and is not good for the environemnt. You will also save alot of money using cloth diapers instead of disposable and you will feel good about what you are doing for your child, the future and the Earth as a whole. I also hand a hand grinder to make baby food with, given to me by my aunt when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I also bought organic baby food which was always available in the local grocery store. Put going green on your to do list

I love Johnny Cash! I am a big fan and grew up listening to his music. To me there is no other like him. He was the coolest singer with such a great voice. Johnny Cash was known as the "Man in Black". His lyrics to the song of that title tell you why he wore black all the time. He was a man of so many layers to me, but at the heart and soul of this icon and legend was a man who cared deeply. He related with the common man, the dark side of our psyche, yet he still had a light in him. He was able to touch upon that darkness in humanity and make it cool. He was a proud American, a tough guy and a softy all rolled into one. His big love was June Carter. They even died 4 months apart which to me shows the bond between the two of them. I wish music would manifest another Johnny Cash. To me the world needs this as a part of culture, someone like the unforgettable and talented Johnny Cash. No matter what sort of music is your cup of tea you will usually find that most people are a fan of Johnny Cash.

I am a photographer and a poet. I have a store at Zazzle where I sell my products that range from cards and postage to ceramic candy jars and tea pots. This lens focuses on one design at my store called Poppy Expressions. I have it available with my inspirational "Happiness" poem, with the word "Believe" and with no words on it. I love flowers! I think poppies are so pretty in all varieties. This poppy is an iceland poppy that was growing wild in a field of poppies during summer. Poppies come in many different colors, but one of my favorite colors for them is pink. The poem on these products is one I wrote years ago. Blake Lively is an actress and model. She was born August 25th, 1987 in Tarzana, CA. She is on the T.V. show Gossip GIrl where she plays Serena van der Woodsen. You might also remember her in the movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants In January 2009, Lively was voted one of the top "35 Most Stylish Women To Look Out For" by Glamour UK. Lively was placed at #33 on the Maxim Hot 100 List in 2009 and in 2010 she was number 4. She has a Christian Louboutin shoe named after her. (You can see it in the video below) She has been chosen to front Chanel's new Mademoiselle handbag line. This is how I noticed her. I love fashion and noticed she is talked about alot in those circles so I took notice also.

It is the perfect addition to any holiday table. It is easier to make than you think. You will be glad you made it if you do. I have been meditating for more than 20 years and consider myself to be quite spiritual almost naturally. It is just the way I think and have most of my life, so I think this sense of spirituality and zen attitude comes through in my photography.

Pink is one of my favorite colors. It has a soft loving feel to it. It seems to evoke romance and love, so why not have yourself a romantic Christmas just by decorating in pink. I love Zazzle's doodle speakers. I have actually ordered one. They are very cool. For me I like to use it for my iPod, but they can be used for your computer and iPhone as well. My Family's Christmas Eve Tradition

Since I was born my family has gone to my Grandma's for Christmas Eve. It is a great tradition that carried on when I had children as well. We usually arrive in the early afternoon to visit and play games. My grandmother and whoever helps her cooks dinner which consists of ham and broccoli soup. The family that comes is my cousins,aunts and uncles. We have been a close family. It is nice to get together and see everyone on Christmas Eve. We usually try to get everyone a present and at the least the children get presents. When we open presents which usually starts after dinner, about 6 or 6 p.m. we start with the youngest first to the oldest last. We have had funny times through the years but always it is enjoyable.

I like to follow fashion so I especially interested in fashion shows and fashion week. It is a world that fascinates me and so I find my way to be a part of it online through You Tube Videos and Designers websites. I love the clothes that I see come off the runway. It was on a viewing of this year's (2011) Fashion Week in New York that I noticed some unfamiliar faces. I am used to seeing faces such as Martha Stewart and other well known celebrities as well as Anna Wintour editor of Voque and Nina Garcia. Instead I saw unfamiliar faces and wondered who they were. I did not investigate who they were. I found at that night as I watched E News talk about it and that is how I found out who these ladies were. I thought that was very cool to get invited to fashion week from being a blogger. It goes to show how the world has changed.

I went to the island of Kauai in 2007. It is a smaller island in the Hawaiian islands that is not as crowded as some of the others. It is filled with untouched beauty and nature. I visited a secluded area called Na Pali Coastline which can only be reached by boat. It took a few hours to get there and was well worth it. I saw sea turtles sunning on the beach there and on the way our boat went into a sea cave which was quite an experience. The waters of Hawaii are so blue and they are so clear you can see the life beneathe the surface. These mousepads are from this beautiful island.

Great Ways to Get Traffic

If you have a Zazzle store or website you will want traffic to see it. If people do not see your Zazzle products for instance, even if they are beautiful than they will not sell. Traffic does not guarantee sales, but it is needed. If people don't know it exists then they can't buy it. With that in mind I have been exploring ways to increase traffic and sales at my Zazzle store, Squidoo lenses and Imagekind Store. I would like to share a few of those with you here on this lens. I had 2543 hits in one day for a Zazzle product of mine and have a number of them that have had 400 to 500 hits a day. In this lens I will share with you which sites bring in this sort of traffic for me and hopefully they will for you as well.

I have been meditating since I was a teenager. I went to a Lutheran school for Kindergarten through 8th grade. I learned the Bible and about Jesus there. For high school I decided to go to a public high school, my best friend telling me she was going influenced my decision of course. So, I attended Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, CA, I absolutely loved high school. I spent alot of time at the beach which is walking distance from the school.

Plant for the Cure Flower

This flower and the products it is on that say Plant for the Cure Flower are an inspiration from God. I had a vision of this flower which I did not have, so I went looking for it. When I found it I noticed that buying it donated to the Susan G. Komen- Plant for the Cure for breast cancer awareness. Realizing that the I was inspired and that it led me to a flower that helps with breast cancer awareness I felt further moved to donate a percentage of any sales in this line to the Susan G. Komen. I feel that God inspired me to help. I think of this in somewhat of the same way Oprah always talks about how she tells God to use me. I saw Gwyneth Paltrow talk about this book on Chelsea Lately and it sounded like a cool book, one to rush out and buy. I am a fan of Gwyneth and I follow her website, so I was glad to see this book and how popular it is. This book is personal and heartwarming as Gwyneth shares stories about her late father and how she involves her kids in cooking with her. On Chelsea Lately she talked about how her father instilled self esteem in her as she does her kids by letting them get involved and see that they are capable. She says with pride that her son cracks eggs without getting shells in the eggs. That is an accomplishment indeed! To this day I still get a shell in an egg now and then. Alot of people these days have ipods. I love mine. I got it in 2006. It is much better than walkmans (if anybody remembers those). With an ipod you can wear it and noone knows you are wearing it. Welcome to my "Reflections Series" . These are photos with reflections in it which is something I really love in a photograph. There is something ethereal and almost spiritual about a reflection. It is not surprising that people relate meditating and contemplating with the word reflect. When we reflect we are thinking and pondering our virtues and faults, similar to looking into a mirror but rather an inner mirror. This puts a deeper meaning on reflections in photography then what the image represents but brings to light the meaning of reflection. It puts one in a reflective state of mind. Welcome to my Squidoo journey! I joined this community in 2007 not knowing at all how to build a lens. Four years later in 2011 as I update this lens I have learned, edited, and changed many times how I will build a lens. For me less is more seems to be my modus operandi lately. I have wanted to go to Hawaii my entire life. In 2007 I finally was able to go. This lens about a vacation my ex husband and I took to Kauai in 2007. We went in January. The weather there was sunny on most days, though it did rain. It was my first time to the Hawaiian islands. I fell in love with this place. It is unique and unlike the mainland. Kauai basks amidst the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, about 20 minutes by air from Honolulu. Formed some six million years ago, the island encompasses roughly 550 square miles and is the oldest and northernmost of the main Hawaiian Islands.

A Complaint Free World

I ordered this book after reading about it on Amazon. The thought of not complaining changing your life intriqued me quite a bit, especially since I love affirmation and positive thinking. For all of my positive thinking and affirmation doing I had never tried to stop complaining completely. The challenge in his book is that you stop complaining for 21 days. He sells bracelets you can wear on your wrist. If you complain you must move the bracelet to the other wrist and start the 21 days over. To tell you the truth it sounds quite difficult to me. Part of not complaining also includes not criticizing or gossiping. So, this sounds like a tall order but I am up for the challenge since this is something that attracts me strongly: thinking positive. Maybe you can join me in the 21 Day Challenge and stop complaining too!

There is such a big difference between a point and shoot camera and an SLR camera or single lens reflex. The quality of the photography is such a big difference. If you are at all wanting to get serious about photography you will want to get an SLR camera. You can set the camera to automatic or learn to use the settings on your camera. I took a photography class in high school back in the day of film only camera where we had to buy a black and white manual camera. That was quite a while ago but I vaquely remember setting the F stop and adusting the settings for different types of images. In those days (1984) you had to learn to develop the film in a dark room too.

I did not vacillate much when it came to naming my babies. I usually knew what I wanted to name my babies right away. With my middle daughter I did have to wait until I saw her to decide on her first name but I knew her middle name oddly. When I saw her I knew which name to give her as she looked like the name I decided on. Many have heard the saying "A rose by any other name is still a rose. Celebrities give their babies very unique and different names. It is not just celebrities that do that, they just happen to be in the limelight. I love Gwen Stefani's fashion line: L.A.M.B. As a designer I like alot of her designs best out of many designers. It has a cool yet very stylish look to it that I think is refreshing in the fashion world. Plus Gwen Stefani herself is just cool and I grew up in Orange County same as her. In fact I went to school as a CNA and worked where her grandfather was staying in 2005. He had a picture of her in his room. L.A.M.B. is an acronym for "Love Angel Music Baby." Shei chose this for the name of her clothing line because of her music career. She founded L.A.M.B. in 2003. Fans love her style and that was part of the reason Gwen started this line. I know I think she has great style. She also has a line called Harajuku Lovers that includes more than just fashion. My daughter loves and buys her perfumes and other accessories in this line.

Dr. Weiss, who wrote this book is a graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School. He is Chairman Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. This book is about reincarnation, but it is about the journey we travel with a beloved or what some might call a Soul mate. Some think we have only one, some think we have many and some think it is all hogwash. I am of the belief that we have more than one soul we travel through time with and bond with. I guess I can call these people soul mates. I do have to agree with the title though, that only love is real or at least it is what matters most. That is what I have learned. This book is the story of Pedro and Elizabeth, two patients who have lost each other across lifetimes and now have another chance to reconnect. I believe we reconnect with someone again and again in some form. They can be you husband one time, your uncle another, maybe even your son in yet another and then you husband or lover again. I happen to believe in Reincarnation. One of the first books I read was by author Brian Weiss. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School, Brian L. Weiss M.D. is Chairman Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. He started out skeptical as hypnosis of clients led him to discover that people were going back to other lives. His books discuss the subject intelligently from a skeptics view point. Eventually his skepticism left him of course. This book is about progressions to future lives and how keys to this life could also be found in the future. It also talks about how choices we make today influence what our tomorrow will look like. For me this topic is fascinating. I love his books and his research is proof of reincarnation to me.

All these things have helped me in my life to bring about positive change. Growing up near the beach, Balboa and Catalina Island I grew up near Newport Beach and went to high school in Newport. It was great to be able to walk to the beach from school. My friends and I hung out at 15th st., 17th street, Balboa Island and on a Saturday night we might go see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I spent my youth sailing, catching fish, swimming in the ocean or lying on the sand getting tan. Here is a picture to show how tan I was.

I saw Jenny on Chelsea Lately the other night talking about her new game to help you exercise and look great. It looked pretty fun. Jenny looked sooo good too which makes me want to do what she did to look as good as she looks. I notice that you can get this game for your computer or for your Nintendo Wii system. So, that opens it up to those of us who do not have Nintendo Wii. If you have not heard for Chelsea Lately, it is on every night at 11:00 p.m. pacific time on E! channel which is on cable. It is a fun show with a certain sense of humor that most people would enjoy. I know I do!

If you have a cell phone and love to text then you may already have heard of ChaCha. It is a place to text to get answers to just about any question you might have. I work there as a part time online job. It is self employment. I can do as little or as much as I want to do. It is great to do in your spare time to earn a few bucks or if you want to put alot of time in to it you can earn hundreds per month. Some have earned $600 to $800 in a month. I personally have never made that much in a month. It can be fun to work there. Alot of times I will hear about something as it is happening. For instance the day Michael Jackson died I suddenly was getting questions that morning asking if Michael Jackson died. I love the movie Defending Your Life with Meryl Streep and Albert Brooks, two actors I am fond of. In this movie these characters both die early in the movie and most of the movie takes place in a in between sort of place where people go after dying (according to the movie) to defend and review their lives.It is a witty entertaining movie worth seeing if you have not seen it.

The Matrix is a spiritual movie

Many of us have seen the movie the Matrix. It is a cool movie starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. I see a symbolism or analogy that this movie speaks of such as in the thought of dodging bullets. When Neo dodges bullets I see it as a spiritual metaphor of how we dodge or don't dodge fear in our own lives. The bullets represent fear. Fear can be any negative way of being such as hate, fear, resentment, anger, mean spiritedness. In the Matrix he could not dodge the "bullets" at first. He did not remember who he was or his light or magnificence. As time went by however he got better and better at dodging "bullets" until at the end they or fear could not penetrate him or affect him anymore. Why? Because he remembered who he was. The analogy is that when we remember who we are we too will no longer have to dodge "bullets" or "fear". It will simply cease to affect us as we stand in a place of love or light.

In 2005 I went back to school. I had not been in school in many years. I did not think I could do "the school thing" again. I was nervous if I could pass. This thought process caused me to study hard, pay attention and not only did I pass but I earned Highest GPA(grade point average)in the class with a 96%. What is a CNA? It is a certified nursing assistant or a nurse first level. All RN nurses start at the CNA level. I am also a HHA and RNA. I did all three at once in an accelarated course.

Finding My Passion

The other day I was listening to a friend of mine talking. He was sharing with me how much he loved Mexico and the people there. He would just light up as he described what it was like to live there, how friendly the people there are. I told him he should go back there, it sounded like it would make him happier than living in the States. As I said that to him it dawned on me that lately I don't have anything that really lights me up. I seem to have lost my passion for life. This got me thinking and I made a decision that one of my goals for 2009 is to find my passion and my people. He reminded me as I shared this with him that find my passion and everything else will follow. So.... one of my intentions for 2009 is to Find my passion I must say that 2008 was quite a year for me. My husband had two heart attacks, an open heart surgery, 5 way bypass and we lost our house. I would like 2009 to be a better year for sure!

For a kid to say they grew up 30 minutes from Disneyland is pretty lucky, in my opinion. I grew up in Orange County. I lived in Costa Mesa which was 30 minutes from Disneyland if you take Harbor Blvd. straight up. It was great! I have been to Disneyland more times than I can count. When I had children we took them there a number of times as well. There are so many fun rides and things to do at Disneyland. If you have never been, make it a goal to go at least once in your life. I have been writing poetry since I was 12 years old. I was an only child. Poetry was a way to express myself that seemed to naturally unfold for me. Remembering our Light

I love the movie The Matrix with Keanu Reeves. I tend to see the world through spiritual eyes. I believe that God speaks to us through movies, books, music,poetry, other people etc. So when I saw the movie The Matrix for the first time I loved it! The message I saw in it was.... When we remember who we are... We don't have to dodge bullets anymore. To me the bullets were symbolic of fear. There are only two choices in life to choose. Ask yourself is this decision based on love or is it based on fear. In the Matrix you could see that he did not remember who he was for alot of the movie. But(and this is important for us to remember)when he remembered who he was when he stood IN THE LIGHT of remembrance of who he was fear(or bullets) could not affect him. What a great analogy! Pay attention in your life to messages coming to you... Remember that when you stand in the light of who you are fear cannot affect you or other people's fear. How do we get to that place of standing in the light? That is another topic. But it comes down to knowing thyself which I have referred to in other posts. Let the universe or God speak to you... LISTEN. PAY ATTENTION.

My husband and I have watched this show many times. My husband loves any show on dogs. So, we watch the Dog Whisperer and it is my favorite dog training show out there. Cesar has a special way of dealing with dogs that is incredible and also spiritual. Check his show out sometime and you will see what I mean. He seems to know how to speak their language, makes people understand that dogs think like dogs not like humans and will instinctively do what dogs do not what humans do and so you have to think that way when dealing with dogs.
