Sounds like a slogan, somewhere? No! I just thought to gather some unique, healthy, easy and most especially homemade empanada recipes that you can actually try at the comfort of your home. Empanada is prepared similarly to a pie cut in pieces, making it more easy when eaten.It is made of a thin circular shaped dough patty over stuffing that creates its circular shaped. Just about any food or combination can be made as a filling like meat, fish, vegetables, cheese, fruits and even left-overs. It is a common delicacy mostly in Latin America, the Carribean, Portugal, Spain and Philippines as a stuffed pastry. Empanadas are also known in a wide variety of regional names like empadas or empadinhas in Brasil, empanadas de verde in Ecuador, salvadoreños in El Salvador, paete in Haiti, saltenas in Argentina, pastellilos in Puerto Rico to name a few. Having heard that my sister Natalie is taking up Korean Lessons in her Foreign Language Class arise my deep enthusiasm and curiosity on what Korean stuff is all about. Korean Wave, a.k.a. Hallyu or Hanryu, was first introduced in the late 1990's in China and Hong Kong;referring to the popularity of Korean Culture that eventually sweep throughout other Asian countries like Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia and Philippines;until it paved the way to be known into other Foreign countries like Middle East, South America and the U.S. According to statistic, it has been said that more than 13 million Asians are residing in the United States and made a widely range of a possible market. It attracts other ethnic groups or people who are interested in Korean or Asian culture and entertainment. Here in the Philippines, a lot of Filipinos had been part of the growing number of viewers of these Korean Dramas or Koreanovelas that has been showed even in the prime time and because not all can speak and understand Korean Language the whole drama has been tagalized (Korean dialogues dubbed into Filipino so that the audiences can easily understand). I started squidooing 3 years ago, August 8, 2007. I discover it through the help of my amazing Superhero GramaBarb. At that time, I was on the verge of recovery period after undergoing my 3rd reconstructive surgery so I was completely bum waiting and a college dropout. I was missing school so much that I didn't have any means to cope up the boredom due to my condition called "Idiopathic Carpotarsal Osteolysis", a genetic bone disorder. Through blogging I met so many support and amazing online friends some sort of a 'lifeline'. Somehow through writing I learned to take things into a more clearer perspective that in whatever circumstances you are you have to believe in yourself and make the most of it. I remember my first lens is about the Philippines where I am currently residing. From then on, I created lenses influence by anything that fancy my curiosity from the simple pleasure of life, good food, my enormous pride in Asian culture, a thought provoking book, my eclectic taste in music and listing my dream travel destination. It is never really a doubt that I love writing. I love Squidoo and I love the internet. I love anything that has to do with writing but writing about yourself is never an easy task for me. But as I go along the way, I never thought I'll enjoy sitting here sharing some of the bits and pieces of my life, thoughts, concerns and what it is like being at my side of the world. At last in September 31, 2008, I was given the privilege to earned the Giant Squid Status for having 50 lens and earning some of the spot in the Top 10 list and my Easy Homemade Empanada Recipe Lens making into the overall Top 100 list for almost 218 days. Now I'm keeping up 100 lenses in my lensography list and the ideas never stop. It is what a joy for me to enjoy learning new things and never stop on creating something worthwhile to impart knowledge and to be able to inspire and be inspired. The first time I saw this book I was a bit intrigued. Not because the cover were made of plain black. I'm actually eager to know what's the relevance of the title as "The Road"... Some would say it is depressing. Sure it is! As I came to read a very few lines or two, it caught my in depth emotions and I started to cry. Shameless to say, I cried unstoppable page after every page. And suddenly I miss my dad! If you are a parent just imagine yourself traveling with your child in a long, dark, uncertain road with no food to eat, water to drink, and even a shelter to shield the both of you in a stormy night. In the morning, you will feel restless as the coming of days will all be filled with anguish as if you'll never know if it is your last day on earth. McCarthy's story telling is very much engaging. He writes as a modern day William Faulkner. Totally captivating! His poetic prose and words adds up the melancholic background in a sense that it takes you into a long journey of a father and a son as they struggle to find hope leading to a lighter way out.

Instead of dying, as a doctor predicted, Benjamin actually begins to age backwards. He appears as a very old man and slowly grows younger, but only in body. His mind seems to function as a typical human's mind. He learns, and dreams and experiences. This basically sets up the magnificent story and from then on, you are taken from country to country, from one decade, to another and it is just superb to witness. It is very much a heartwarming movie and makes you appreciate more life as it is not measured by in how many years and minutes we try to live rather by the memories we experience as goes through it.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are as many as 6.5 billion persons with disability today. Sad to say, of this 6.5 billion worldwide population, UNICEF has estimated that around one quarter or 150 million are children. With half of the world's population under 15 years old, the number of adolescents and youth with disability can be expected to rise over the next decades not included the elderly sick people disabled by chronic illnesses due to aging, injuries, and other complications because of old age. In the United States alone, for example, Americans with disabilities constitute the third-largest minority (after persons of Hispanic origin and African Americans); all three of those minority groups number in the 30-some millions in America. According to the U.S. Bureau of the Census, as of 2004, there were some 32 million adults (aged 18 or over) in the United States, plus another 5 million children and youth (under age 18). Adolescents and youth are at increased risk for acquiring a disability due to work-related injuries and risk taking behavior (including motor vehicle accidents, experimentation with drugs and unprotected sex). Furthermore, many chronic disabling illnesses and mental health conditions first appear only during the second decade of lives.

The name "flying mitten" is fitting, since while gliding the squirrels appeared to be completely flattened much like a mitten. Andrea Jane Corr (born May 17, 1974) was the lead singer and the youngest member of the Irish pop-rock Celtic band The Corrs. In her younger years, Andrea was the best student among all her siblings. The city of Manila is commonly known as "Maynila" for Filipinos, is the capital city of the Philippines and the second most populous city of the country with more than 1.6 inhabitants and also in the metropolitan area is the second most populous in Southeast Asia. Manila is the center of government in the country and one of the central hubs of a thriving metropolitan area home to over 14 million people. It is located on the shores of Manila Bay just west of the geographical center of Metro Manila, also known as the National Capital Region (NCR), which lies on an isthmus between Manila Bay and Laguna de Bay in southern Luzon. The city is one of 17 cities and municipalities which form the metropolitan area. From shopping malls to high class sea ports, Manila City got it all, and one of the most visited places here is the Rizal Park where our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, was executed and buried. His monument was made there to commemorate his works for his motherland. The Metropolitan Manila region acquired its independence entity in 1975.
