Probably not even 10% of those who are into affiliate marketing became rich overnight. There may be some who fortunately achieved overwhelming success in just a short span of time after setting up an affiliate program, but not a majority of them can confidently say they only had luck. Anyone who is successful in this kind of business would say he worked hard to get to where he is right now. Success in affiliate marketing takes time and hard work, but it&rsquo;s worth it.<div class="feedflare">

Alexandria, VA - The second annual, national Take 25 child safety campaign will take place during the month of May in hundreds of communities across the country. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) launched the campaign last year to encourage families to take 25 minutes to talk to their children about safety and abduction prevention. A website for the campaign, www.Take25.org, lists 25 safety tips that can help save a child's life. The campaign begins May 1 and continues through National Missing Children's Day on May 25. Nationwide, more than 600 events are scheduled in 266 communities and 49 states.

Every year in America, an estimated 800,000 children are reported missing, more than 2,000 children each day. Of that number, 200,000 are abducted by family members and 58,000 are abducted by non-family members, for which the primary motive is sexual. Each year, 115 children are the victims of the most serious abductions; they are taken by non-family members and either murdered, ransomed or taken with the intent to keep. An analysis of attempted abduction cases by NCMEC found that in 56% of the cases, the child escaped would-be abductors by yelling, kicking, pulling away, running away or attracting attention.

May 25 has been observed as National Missing Children's Day since it was first proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1983. The Take 25 campaign will help parents and others teach children to be alert to potential threats and provide simple preventative steps that children can take to stay safe.

"We know teaching children about safety works. Children's actions enable them to escape attempted abductions more than half of the time. It is important that parents and others take the time to talk to their children about these issues," said Ernie Allen, president and CEO of NCMEC. "The campaign is designed to provide information to make it easy for parents and others to teach their children about safety and prevention. There is no better way to mark National Missing Children's Day than with an initiative designed to empower children and help keep them safe."<div class="feedflare">

The movies revolved around the absurd misadventures of the Kettle clan, a large but loving family of country hicks.

Pa (Franklin Kettle) (Percy Kilbride) was a gentle but slow-speaking, slow-thinking and lazy man. His only talents appeared to be avoiding work and winning contests. Ma (Phoebe Kettle) (Marjorie Main) was larger, raucous, more ambitious and smarter than Pa, but not by much, and could easily be fooled. She was content with her role as mother to a small army of children on the Kettle's ramshackle farm. (At the beginning of the series Pa Kettle won a modern home that the family moved into. As the series continued, various reasons came up to have the family relocate to the "old place", sometimes for extended periods of time.)

Much of the humor came from the preposterous situations the Kettles found themselves in, such as Pa being mistaken for a wealthy industrialist or being jailed after he accidentally set a series of events in motion that resulted in race horses at the fair eating feed laced with concrete.

The Kettles first appeared in supporting roles in The Egg and I, starring Fred MacMurray and Claudette Colbert. After that they starred in a series of their own movies. Main was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1948 for her role in The Egg and I.

Main and Kilbride also appeared together in the 1948 Universal film Feudin', Fussin' And A-Fightin'. The movie also starred Donald O'Connor and Joe Besser. Many have mistaken this movie to be a Kettle film. Main played Maribel Matthews and Kilbride played Billy Caswell.

Kilbride retired after making the "Waikiki" movie; the Pa Kettle character did not appear in The Kettles in the Ozarks. Arthur Hunnicutt played Pa's brother Sedgewick Kettle in that movie. In The Kettles on Old MacDonald's Farm, the last Kettle movie, Parker Fennelly played Pa Kettle.

The eight Kettle films starting Kilbride and Main have been released on DVD, as part of Universal's Franchise Collection series. Volume 1 contains The Egg and I, The Further Adventures of Ma and Pa Kettle, Ma and Pa Kettle Go to Town and Ma and Pa Kettle Back on the Farm, while Volume 2 contains Ma and Pa Kettle at the Fair, Ma and Pa Kettle on Vacation, Ma and Pa Kettle at Home, Ma and Pa Kettle at Waikiki.

The characters of Ma and Pa Kettle also appeared in television's first comedy serial, The Egg and I, which aired on CBS (September 3, 1951-August 1, 1952). Each episode was only 15 minutes long. Ma Kettle was played by Doris Rich and Pa Kettle was played by Frank Twedell. Betty Lynn (better known as Barney Fife's girlfriend Thelma Lou from The Andy Griffith Show) played Betty in some episodes, including "Pa Turns Over A New Leaf" (which aired on May 21, 1952).

The 1980 satire film Loose Shoes (which also starred Bill Murray) included a sketch called "A Visit With Ma and Pa" where Ma Kettle was played by Ysabel MacCloskey and Pa Kettle was played by Walker Edmiston.<div class="feedflare">

Most&nbsp;people&nbsp;think that they can make a quick buck or two. But there's much more to it then that.

Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing partnership between a web merchant and one or more affiliates.

The affiliate is paid a commission for referring clicks, leads or most often sales to the merchant.

An affiliate's advantage is that he can make money in a business where he doesn't have the upfront costs of
creating his own product, and he doesn't have to worry about e-commerce, bookkeeping, or even customer
support for it is the merchant's responsibility.

Now, for sure you want to be an affiliate marketer with all that benefits an affiliate could get. But, do you have what it takes to be an affiliate marketer?

Before you begin your venture into affiliate marketing, you need to decide first which area interest you. What products do you know the most and which products you could do the best job of selling?

Once you discover your specialty, perseverance, patience, determination comes next. These are the qualities you should possessed to be a good affiliate marketer.

Too many online business prospectors lose out because they become impatient. You also have to know what
your strengths are, the things in which you are good at and your capabilities and abilities related to your chosen streak. And the most important thing is you have to have a strong desire to succeed in affiliate marketing.<div class="feedflare">

Are Children the Most Precious Cargo? (original article)

Imagine you're waiting at the end of your driveway or street, waiting at the bus stop for your four-eight year old son or daughter to be dropped off.

It's the same routine every Monday, but today the bus drives right by you without stopping.

Your first thought is that the bus driver forgot to stop, and so you wait for the break lights to turn on, but the bus turns the corner and is out of sight.

As your anxiety increases you call the preschool they go to on Tuesdays and Thursdays, thinking that your child must have forgotten it was Monday; the response you receive is not encouraging, they were not dropped off there.

As your breathing quickens you call the school only to be told that your child was seen heading toward the school buses but that no one can say for sure that they got on.

You try to tell yourself this isn't happening as you clumsily dial the bus companies phone number; fear swallows you as you find out your child was not seen on the bus and that no child has been reported to have not been dropped off.

After profusely the bus driver to check all the buses, for what seems like hours, your child is found fast asleep in their seat, tucked down where no one can see them. Luckily real danger was escaped? This Time...!!!

Tell me what you think! These are our children I'm talking about...our future leaders! Surely you have an opinion, if you have children.<div class="feedflare">

The stimulus payments will go out through the late spring and summer.

The vast majority of Americans who qualify for an economic stimulus payment will not have to do anything other than file their 2007 individual income tax return to receive their payment this year. They will not have to complete applications, file any extra forms or call the Internal Revenue Service to request the payment, which is automatic. The IRS will determine eligibility, figure the amount and issue the payment.

Stimulus payments will be direct deposited for taxpayers selecting that option when filing their 2007 tax returns. Taxpayers who have already filed with direct deposit won't need to do anything else to receive the stimulus payment. For taxpayers who haven't filed their 2007 returns yet, the IRS reminds them that direct deposit is the fastest way to get both regular refunds and stimulus payments.<div class="feedflare">

Sarcoidosis may affect any organ or system within the body including the eyes, skin, bones and spleen.

Sarcoidosis often starts in either the lungs or the lymph nodes (small organs of the immune system). The inflammation causes granulomas - small lumps in the tissue. For example, small raised patches on the face are a sign that the skin may be affected.

The musculoskeletal system can be affected by sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis can cause muscle pain or muscle weakness. In the joints, sarcoidosis can lead to a granulomatous form of arthritis. Sarcoidosis can also cause painless holes and swelling in the bones.

The onset of sarcoidosis is usually gradual - sarcoidosis symptoms normally develop later and many patients exhibit no symptoms at all.

Sarcoidosis is more common in women than men, and more common in adults between 20 and 40 years of age.

Acute Sarcoidosis - about 75 percent of patients have the acute form of sarcoidosis.

About half of these have no long term damage or significant problems. Sarcoidosis is often a mild condition with no permanent damage to the body's tissue.

Chronic Sarcoidosis - about 25 percent of patients develop chronic sarcoidosis.

Sarcoidosis can be present for years causing organ and system damage whilst reducing the patients physical activity. Scarring of the tissue in the lungs, skin eyes or other organs is common.

A number of tests can be used when diagnosing sarcoidosis. A physical examination of the patient may show sarcoidosis symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes, redness in the eyes and red bumps on the skin.

Other methods for diagnosing sarcoidosis include:

Chest X Ray
Pulmonary Function Test
Blood Test
Fiber optic Bronchoscopy
CT Scan
MR Scan
Eye Test
Bronchoalveolar Lavage
Thallium & Gallium Scans

Many patients receive no treatment for sarcoidosis -in up to 60 percent of cases treatment is not needed. When treatment is required it is usually for chronic sarcoidosis which is affecting critical organs such as the lungs, eyes or heart.

Drugs used to treat sarcoidosis include:

Prednisone
Hydroxychloroquine
Methotrexate
Cyclophosphamide
Azathioprine
For sarcoidosis patients, the chances of recovering from this disease is good.

Note: - sarcoidosis can cause other conditions such as hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels ) and hypercalciura (high urine calcium levels). These conditions can lead to kidney stones.<div class="feedflare">

who are interested in going to work.

The Ticket Program is part of the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999 - legislation designed to remove many of the barriers that previously influenced people's decisions about going to work because of the concerns over losing health care coverage.

The goal of the Ticket Program is to increase opportunities and choices for Social Security disability beneficiaries to obtain employment, vocational rehabilitation (VR), and other support services from public and private
providers, employers, and other organizations.

Under the Ticket Program, the Social Security Administration (also referred to as the Agency) provides disability beneficiaries with a Ticket they may use to obtain the services and jobs they need from a new universe of organizations called Employment Networks (ENs).

MAXIMUS, a private company, has been contracted by the Social Security Administration to function as the
Operations Support Manager (OSM) and the Ticket Program Data Operations Center Manager (TPDOCM).

It is MAXIMUS responsibility to administer oversight and process support necessary to sustain ongoing
Ticket Program Operations. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is launching the second phase of a new program designed to help people with disabilities go to work. The Ticket to Work program, which began in February of 2002 in 13 states, is now available in 20 additional states and Washington, DC.

"Today, less than one percent of the people who get Social Security and Supplemental Security Income
disability benefits leave the rolls each year to go to work. We can do better, and we must do better," said Jo Anne Barnhart, Commissioner of Social Security. "President Bush said, 'My Administration is committed to tearing down any barriers that unreasonably prevent the full participation of Americans with disabilities.'

And he said that he will work 'to help disabled Americans realize their dreams through meaningful and
successful careers.' And the Ticket to Work gets us there."

Social Security disability and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability beneficiaries will receive a
Ticket that may be used to obtain vocational rehabilitation, job training, and other support services. The Ticket Program will be in operation nationwide by January of 2004.

Tickets will begin arriving in mailboxes this week. Over the next several months, about 2.6 million Social Security and SSI beneficiaries with disabilities will receive a Ticket to Work. The mailings will be staggered, based on the last digit of a beneficiary's Social Security number. Anyone who wants a Ticket immediately can call 1-866-968-7842 (1-866-YOURTICKET). TDD/TTY users should call 1-866-833-2967 (1-866- TDD2WORK).

Individuals may take their Ticket to any of the employment service providers who offer services in their communities. These providers are called Employment Networks. A list of participating networks can be found at www.ssa.gov/work, by clicking on service providers.

Here's how the program works: a Ticket holder gives the Ticket to an Employment Network. The network
and the Ticket holder together design an individual employment plan outlining the services to be provided to assist the beneficiary in reaching his or her employment goal.

The Ticket Program is voluntary. Social Security and SSI beneficiaries who receive a Ticket are not required to work, but may choose to use their Ticket to attempt to go to work. Likewise, Employment Networks are not required to accept Tickets.

The Ticket Program is designed to provide people with disabilities with more choices and expanded
opportunities to help them go to work. Individuals will receive services from an Employment Network for
free. SSA will pay the Employment Networks for successfully helping a beneficiary go to work. Employment Networks may choose to be paid based solely on helping an individual achieve self-sufficiency, or they may choose to receive payments when beneficiaries achieve different milestones during their attempt to go to work.

The Ticket Program is the cornerstone of the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act, which
was passed by Congress and signed into law in December 1999. Other provisions of the law are already in place to help support people with disabilities as they go to work. These provisions include expanded health care coverage.

Many of the barriers that would force people to choose between health care coverage and work have been removed by the legislation. Social Security disability beneficiaries are eligible for Medicare, the Federal health insurance plan. Effective in October 2000, most Social Security disability beneficiaries are protected by Medicare for at least eight years and six months after they go to work. Medicare coverage continues even if an individual no longer receives a monetary benefit from Social Security. Most SSI beneficiaries are eligible for Medicaid, which is a state health benefit. These individuals should contact the state Medicaid
office in their area for more information.

Beginning in November approximately 2.6 million beneficiaries will receive tickets in the following states:

Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi,
Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota,
Tennessee and Virginia, and in the District of Columbia.

The first phase of the Ticket Program began in February 2002 in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Vermont and Wisconsin.

The final phase is scheduled for 2003 in Alabama, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming, as well as in American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Those who have questions about the Ticket Program should call Maximus, Inc. Maximus, the organization
selected by SSA to administer the Ticket Program, may be contacted toll-free at
1-866-968-7842 (1-866-YOURTICKET). TDD/TTY users should call 1-866-833-2967 (1-866- TDD2WORK).

Digital broadcasting promises to provide a clearer picture and more programming options and will free up airwaves for use by emergency responders.

What is the TV Converter Box Coupon Program?

Congress created the TV Converter Box Coupon Program for households wishing to keep using their analog TV sets after June 12, 2009. The Program allows U.S. households to obtain up to two coupons, each worth $40, that can be applied toward the cost of eligible converter boxes.
A TV connected to cable, satellite or other pay TV service does not require a TV converter box from this program.

Consumers have a variety of options. Options to explore include:
Keep your existing analog TV and purchase a TV converter box. A converter box plugs into your TV and will keep it working after June 12, 2009, or
Connect to cable, satellite or other pay service, or
Purchase a television with a digital tuner.

Italy and Florence, the area where we live, together with the creativeness of its people, had so much to offer to our customers that by the end of 1999 we decided to bring our Internet presence to the next level. And so, combining technology, creativity, and a strong management team, we have created Forzieri.com.

We hope you enjoy browsing our store and please send your comments--help us make Forzieri.com your favorite place to shop on the web.

Andrea Forzieri
Forzieri.com CEO/Founder

Forzieri.com is the Internet Retail division of Firenze Seta s.r.l., an Italy based company located in Florence, Italy which has been family owned and operated since 1994. We offer premium Italian designer accessories at the most affordable prices.
We decided to provide our customers with an on-line version of our stores since many would call and request our products over the phone when they were unable to come to Florence. So we joined the Internet in March of 1999 and the response has been overwhelming. Now we are expanding and adding more departments and more services in order to bring you an even wider array of personal accessories.

The cornerstone of our company is based on being committed to our customers. Rely on us as we rely on
you. We strive to keep the lines of communication open. If you ever have a comment, question, or anything else, we are committed to helping you in anyway we can.
