Acabo de estrenar tienda online en ezebee, una nueva comunidad que funciona además como red social. Me ha gustado mucho que se puedan abrir varios showrooms a la vez (por ejemplo uno para handmade y otro para ofrecer mis servicios como diseñadora), además es totalmente gratis :) que no está nada mal.

ESTUDIO Y ENTREVISTA

Mi estudio es pequeño pero muy alegre, tiene una ventana grande por la que entra el sol todo el año; una mesa hecha a medida por nosotros con madera recuperada sin lijar ni barnizar y una tablón a juego. Un mueble de oficina con ruedas y cajones, recuerdos, ilustraciones, plantas, una estantería enorme y una casita vieja donde guardo algunos materiales.

Es sencillo y práctico, en realidad no necesito mucho más; cuando trabajo escucho siempre smooth jazz.

Si quereis saber algo más de mí podéis leer la entrevista que me han hecho en Hello Matilde, es un blog que me encanta y sigo desde hace meses, Caro publica reportajes de tiendas que va descubriendo con unas fotos preciosas. Ya veréis que entrevista más original y bonita ha preparado, me ha hecho muchísima ilusión.

STUDIO AND INTERVIEW

My studio is small but very cheerful, has a large window through which the sun shines all year, a table made by us as reclaimed wood without sanding or varnishing and matching board. A wheeled office furniture and boxes, souvenirs, artwork, plants, a bookshelf, and a huge old house where I keep some materials.

It is simple and practical, do not really need much more, when I work always hear smooth jazz.

If you want to know more about me you can read the interview I have done Hello Matilde, is a blog that I love and keep for months, Caro published reports that his discovering shops with some lovely photos. You'll see that most original and beautiful interview prepared, made me really happy.

Me gusta la gente positiva, las cosas positivas y las frases positivas como las de las láminas de Little Mars. Ésta venía volando desde Londres y ha aterrizado en una de las paredes de mi estudio :)

Está impresa sobre una especie de cartulina mate que le da un aspecto de cartel retro muy chulo, no os parece que queda muy bonita? "Si nada marcha bien, cambia de perspectiva" gracias Marta!

TARJETAS ESTAMPADAS

Hace unos dias probé a carvar un sello con una pequeña ilustración de casitas parecida a las que dibujé en la tote bag. Ayer me entretuve escogiendo papel para probarlo, la idea era realizar unas mini láminas estampadas.

Et voilà! estoy contenta con el resultado, pronto las subiré a la tienda.

STAMPING CARDS

A few days ago I tried to carving a stamp with a small illustration of houses like ones I sketched in the tote bag. Yesterday I amused myself picking paper to prove it, the idea was to make a tiny printed cards.

Et voilà! I'm happy with the result, soon I'll upload to the store.

Uno de los ejercicios que realizamos en clase hace unos dias fue la creación de un monograma, un logo personal con las iniciales de tu nombre al que se añade algún recurso gráfico que represente tu profesión. Yo usé las letras NG al revés, un par de pestañas y un óvalo: una cara ilustrada.

Me gustó tanto el resultado que he decidido usarlo como logo, así que os presento mi nueva y definitiva (ahora sí) imagen. Hola!

Los últimos diseños que se me ocurren son bastante distintos a los que he estado haciendo, así que tocaba buscar una imagen más adecuada para el blog. Este fin de semana estuve dibujando esta bolsa, unas casitas algo veraniegas, a rayas...me temo que este año vereis muchas por aquí...

NEW FACES

One of the exercises we do in class a few days ago was the creation of a monogram, a personal logo with the initials of your name being added to a graphic resource representing your profession. I used the letters backwards NG, a pair of flanges and an oval: an illustrated face.

I liked the result so much that I decided to use it as a logo, so I present my new and final (now I) image. Hello!

The latest designs that come to mind are quite different from what I've been doing, so I played a more appropriate look for the blog. This weekend I was drawing this bag, small houses something summery, striped ... I fear that this year will see many around here ...

RENOVANDO EL CATÁLOGO

Ayer aproveché para poner al día algunas cosas que tenía pendientes porque durante la semana no tengo mucho tiempo. Ya hay fotos nuevas en el catálogo, he quitado lo que estaba vendido y además he añadido la sección Outlet de cositas que sólo quedan una o dos.

Como me quedé sin batería en la cámara (qué profesional) me quedan por hacer las fotos de los broches, unos imanes nuevos para los enamorados y un espejo :) Pensando en San Valentín, desde hoy hasta el 15 de febrero los gastos de envío para España son gratis!!

Yesterday took the opportunity to update some things that were pending, because during the week I have not much time. Already there are new photos in catalog, I removed what was sold and I've added the Outlet section.

As I ran out of battery in the camera I have left to do some pics of brooches, a new magnet design for lovers and a mirror :) Thinking Valentine now through February 15 shipping to Spain are free!!

Me gusta este 2013, tiene buena pinta :) me han entrado unas ganas terribles de hacer cosas y sufro de acumulación de ideas ahora mismo. Pero tendrán que esperar un poco porque estoy a punto de empezar un curso de animación que durará unos cuantos meses...

A mediados de año creo que ya estarán listos algunos de los diseños, nuevos colgantes de cerámica y packs de imanes ilustrados como éstos. Rhinoterapia será el nombre de la nueva colección, qué os parece?

I like this 2013, looks good :) I have entered a terrible desire to do things and I suffer from accumulation of ideas now. But will have to wait a bit because I'm ready to start a graphic animation grade, that will last a few months...

This summer I think I will be ready some designs, new ceramic pendants and illustrated magnets packs like these. Rhinoterapia will be the name of the new collection, what do you think?

DIY natural Xmas cupcakes

El domingo voy a asistir a un mercadillo y pensando en algo de decoración navideña para animar el stand, después de leer una receta de tarta de zanahorias... se me ocurrió preparar unos cupcakes naturales muy fáciles y divertidos que además no engordan :)

Receta para cupcakes de Navidad
1 caja de musgo natural
palillos de madera
bases para cupcakes
cola blanca o en spray
decoraciones de cartón

1. Cortar pequeños trozos de musgo, limpiarlos de ramitas y hojas secas, formar bolas con la palma de las manos evitando apretar demasiado porque se aplastan las hojitas; pinzar con los dedos con fuerza en la base para que nos se deshagan.

Cuanto más las pinces más redondas y altas quedarán (piensa en la forma de un cupcake para inspirarte). Dejar secar como mínimo 1 h., mejor si es toda la noche.

2. Dibujar y recortar las figuras que vayas usar como decoración (estrellas, abetos, letras...) sobre cartón o cartulina, si usas un papel demasiado fino se doblan.

3. Cortar los palillos según el largo que necesites y pégalos por la parte de atrás de las figuras a modo de soporte.

4. Pinchar los palillos decorados en el musgo antes de que seque, así no se rompe si tienes que rectificar.

4. Pegar la bola de musgo que ya estará seca a la base del cupcake y listo! Puedes añadir harina, purpurina o azúcar glacé a modo de nieve que les da un toque final muy bonito.

On Sunday I will attend a flea market and thinking of some Christmas decorations to enliven the stand, after reading a recipe for carrot cake ... I thought about preparing natural cupcakes very easy and fun also not fattening :)

Recipe for Christmas cupcakes
1 box of natural moss
wooden sticks
groundwork for cupcakes
white glue or spray
cardboard decorations

1. Cut small pieces of moss, cleaned of twigs and leaves, form balls with the palms avoiding overtightening because the leaves are crushed, pinched with fingers tightly at the base for us to fall apart.

The more the pinces rounder and remain high (think of the shape of a cupcake for inspiration). Let dry for at least 1 h., better if overnight.

2. Draw and cut out shapes to use as decorations (stars, trees, letters ...) on cardboard or poster board, if you use a thin paper folded.

3. Cut the sticks to length you need and stick to the back of the figures as support.

4. Click chopsticks decorated in moss before it dries and does not break if you have to rectify.

4. Stick the dry moss ball in the cupcake's base and you are ready! You can add flour, icing sugar or glitter like snow, that gives a very nice finishing touch.

BROOCHES IN SHOP

Esta semana quería subir los broches a la tienda pero me quedan tan pocos que esperaré un poco, no me da tiempo a terminarlos antes de Navidad y así aprovecho las fiestas para hacer unos cuantos más.

Cada foto lleva una etiqueta con el color y las unidades disponibles, el precio es 14.5 € + 3 € de gastos de envio. La tienda estará cerrada del 21 al 2 de enero, si aún no has hecho tu pedido aún estás a tiempo :)

Era la primera feria a la que asistía y no puedo guardar mejores recuerdos, un día inolvidable de emociones y muchas sonrisas. Pude saludar a creadores que sigo desde hace tiempo, descubrír otros y comer pasteles.

Me siento afortunada por tener la oportunidad de participar en la primera edición de We love cats Market y poder presentar los nuevos broches que tuvieron mucho éxito :) tampoco me quedan cuadernos! Muchas gracias a todos los que pasasteis a saludarme (Selma, Inma, Anna...) y a los que os llevasteis a casa un pedacito de mi sueño. Fue todo un éxito, soy feliz!

El sábado 1 de diciembre voy a participar en la primera edición de We love cats Market, un mercadillo handmade solidario a favor de la asociación "El Jardinet dels gats" que se ocupa del cuidado y la adopción de gatitos abandonados.

Me gusta la iniciativa, me gustan los stands que participan, me gustará que vengais a visitarnos. Voy a presentar algunos diseños de la nueva colección Los cafés que no tomo van al cielo.

Crónica de un viernes en la Tea Party

El 19 de octubre es el Dia Internacional del Cáncer de mama, así que el viernes pasado a esta hora estábamos disfrutando de una tarde estupenda en la Tea Party Rosa de Barcelona: había sonrisas, canapés, regalos, emociones, buen ambiente y un fotógrafo.

Esta merienda benéfica organizada por "Artesanas Solidarias" se celebró para recaudar fondos simultáneamente en Madrid, Barcelona y Valladolid. Yo asistí a la de Barcelona, tuve la suerte de conocer a un montón de crafters estupendas y de escuchar a Puri, que a pesar de estar en tratamiento vino desde Tarragona para contarnos su experiencia y su positividad nos contagió a todas.

Además fue la encargada de sacar los números del sorteo y os aseguro que repartió más suerte que el Gordo de Navidad, porque me tocó dos veces!! y soy de las que no tienen suerte en el juego. Los caramelos de papabubble deliciosos, la flor de chocolate de Disfrutessen y mi pulserita de El taller de Noa de terciopelo rosa.

Y como nos había invitado Inma a la presentación de su nueva colección en el showroom de Sietedelonce, nos fuimos de merienda otra vez :) La colección es preciosa, no pude resistirme!

On October 19th is the International Day of Breast Cancer, so last Friday at this time we were enjoying a lovely evening in Barcelona Tea Party Rosa: had smiles, snacks, gifts, emotions, good atmosphere and a photographer.

This charity lunch organized by "Artisan Solidarity" fundraiser was held simultaneously in Madrid, Barcelona and Valladolid. I attended the Barcelona, I was lucky to meet a lot of great crafters and listen to Puri, who despite being in treatment came from Tarragona to tell us your experience.

He was also responsible for drawing out the numbers and I assure you that distributed more than luck, because I won twice! and I am of those who have no luck in the game. Papabubble delicious candies, chocolate flower by Disfrutessen and El taller de Noa pink velvet bracelet.

And as we had invited to Inma presenting its new collection in the showroom of Sietedelonce, we went to lunch again :) The collection is beautiful, I could not resist!
