Just when we thought the Kings Park Tennis Club Pavilion couldn't possibly fit any more St Georges members in, Brian Kelly has joined the club.

The Committee is currently looking into a better layout within the pavilion to accommodate their growing fellowship.

St Georges International Contest Raises the Bar

Some of St Georges most experienced speakers participated in the club International Speech contest on Wednesday 17 February.

The standard of speaking was very high with Corry Harmer, David Fisher and Dietmar Mazanetz all taking their first shot at competing in the International.

Former District Governor and long term member of St Georges, Andrew Bolotin came in 1st place, with 2nd going to Maree Pickens and Lynette Delane taking 3rd.

Thankyou to our guest judges Pascale Amberville-Colby, Murray Rogers and Dennis Wi (visiting from Malaysia).

We look forward to the Evaluation contest at our next meeting, giving some of our newer members an opportunity to compete.

St georges Toastmasters will host it's International Speech contest on Wednesday 17th February at thir normal meeting location (Kings Park Tennis Club Pavilion) and time (6.45am).

We would love to see you there to cheer on our contestants.

St Georges hosted its Table Topics Club Contest on 5 August 2009.

Congratulations to Rebecca Collins who took out 1st place, with Lynette Delane taking 2nd and Kurt Walmsley 3rd.

Congratulations also to our other club members participating on the day, Chris Cubbage & Eleni Palassis participating for the first time and Bill Milburn.

St Georges New West Perth Venue gives Membership a boom after the bust.

St Georges Toastmasters moved back into West Perth in April 2009 after a year based in North Perth.

The new venue at Next Generation Kings Park Tennis Club has already proven to be a positive experience with 7 new members joining since April.

As our membership is mostly professionals, our West Perth is a great area for us. Many of our members work in or near the CBD, so they can come to a meeting bright and early in the morning and still get to work by 9am.
