Give yourself the gift of time and start your own journey of spiritual growth and self discovery by signing up for a Spring session of MOMS. You can learn more about what to expect by clicking the "Get Involved" button above (on the website). Free childcare is available for the morning session so don't delay and sign up today!

There are two sessions. Thursday morning sessions will begin January 27th (meet from 9-11am) and the Sunday evening session will begin on January 30th (meet from 7-pm). Sessions will meet weekly for 8 weeks.

If you think you may be able to help this weekend, please let Alicia (alicia.karolczak at hotmail dot com) know. Again, it is very easy--just wear your MOMS button, meet in the back of Church after your preferred Mass, and then talk up MOMS to all the women you see and hopefully get a few signed up! Would You Like to Share Your Love of St. Joseph's with Others?

Did you know that there is a ministry of welcoming new parishioners to St. Joe's called the GUARDIAN ANGEL Program?

Each newly registered family is matched with a current parish member who becomes their Guardian Angel. Upon registration, the Guardian Angel makes a call to welcome them, answers any questions they may have, and invites them to a new parishioner orientation. The orientations are held on the third Sunday of each month after the 10:30 Mass. The orientation includes a short walking tour and a chance for the new family to meet their Guardian Angel, while passing on important information regarding our parish. Numerous new families have already been personally contacted and welcomed to our parish family since the program
launched last January!

We are in need of adding more Guardian Angels to our program.

If you would like to share your love for our parish with others, we would love to have you join us!
No experience necessary!

Can you spare an hour for the Fall Festival?

We are in need of several women to offer to work at least one hour at the raffle table. I would like to have at least 2 per shift. The good news is, right now I'm completely open! The bad news is, that means I need a lot of help. Let me know what you might be able to do and I will send out a schedule as soon as I get some feedback. If anyone would be interested in setting up or cleaning up, please let me know that also. Here's what I need:

12:00-1:00-- filled (thank you!)
1:00-2:00-- NEED 2 VOLUNTEERS
2:00-3:00-- filled (thank you!)
3:00-4:00-- NEED ONE VOLUNTEER

MOMS-- We Need Your Help!

Each year, MOMS puts together raffle baskets for the Fall Festival to support our wonderful parish for all they do for us. In order for it to be a success, we will need lots of help from all of you. Here are a few suggestions of items we could use:

spa items/beauty items
children's games/toys/books
candles/home decor
restaurant gift cards
liquor/wine
baskets/ cellophane for wrapping
gift cards (Target, Walmart etc.) or cash to purchase items to complete baskets

One suggestion would be to get together with a friend or a group and make your own themed basket. Otherwise, we would be happy to accept whatever donations you could give. If you are in independent sales and would have some donations from your company, that would be really great. Even if you happen to have something in your home that is NEW but you were never able to use, we could definitely work that in as well. This is the perfect time to re-gift! Trunk or Treat is SOLD OUT!

The Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) would like to thank our Parish Family for it’s tremendous support of the upcoming “Trunk or Treat” event. Due to overwhelming interest we are full and are no longer able to accept any additional registration forms.

A confirmation letter will be mailed soon to each family who has received an event parking spot. If you have not received your letter by Oct. 18th, please promptly contact Julie Oppermann at oppermannj@msn.com.

For forms received after we sold out, each family’s name will be placed on our event’s waiting list in the order they were received. Notifications have been sent out to all families on our waiting list.

It is Trunk or Treat Time!

Trunk or Treat registration has officially began.

This is the MOMS group's big (and only) fundraiser.

Registration forms were sent home through PSR and school couriers last week and copies are also available in the church vestibule. Don't delay in registering - this event sells out every year!!! Forms and your payment must be submitted as directed on the registration form (to Julie Oppermann) and may not be sent through the school.

Trunk or Treat DETAILS:

Date: Sunday, Oct. 24

Time: Lot opens at 5:00 p.m., event is from 5:30 - 7:15 p.m.

Cost: $15 per car, pizzas may be pre-ordered for $10 each

We will need volunteers to make this event run ....please email lauraworster {at} yahoo {dot} com to help with any of the following tasks. All of these positions will still allow you plenty of time to enjoy the event with your family.

Positions for which we need volunteers:

~ Parking (pre-event)

~ Ticket takers (pre-event)

~ Pizza table (15 minute shifts)

~ Post-event clean up (If you have a child aged 8 or older, they may earn service hours for helping with this, but a parent or adult must be present and responsible for them. Note: This offer is only open to the children of MOMS members and is not a parish-wide service opportunity.)

Fall Sessions Starting Soon

Fall sessions for MOMS will be starting soon but it is not to late to get involved! As in previous sessions, we will be meeting on Thursday morning and Sunday evening. If you know anyone that would like to be included, please let them know that they have time and to contact Christine Piccioni or Amy Porter as soon as possible.

Also, we wanted to remind previous MOMS participants that they are welcome to attend a session again. You change, your life situation changes. Take this opportunity to re-visit what you loved about MOMS by joining a session starting soon.
