Good job on your test today, I haven't finished marking them but I think that most of you have a good understanding of the unit.

Tonight, please watch the Chapter 7, Lesson 1 video for our new unit on Fractions, which we are starting on Thursday morning.
If you have any questions, we'll be doing review in class and you can ask me then or you can send me an email.

Video for Wednesday

Hello Students:

Please view the Chapter 5, Lesson 6 video on Wednesday evening for Thursday's class. I recommend that you spend some time on the IXL lesson for translation, rotation, and reflection, but some of you have already logged a lot of hours so I'll leave that to you.

Don't forget that our test will be coming up on January 18, 2012. To prepare, watch the videos from Chapter 5 and also use the study book that I will be handing out Thursday.

Tuesday, January 10, 2012

Because we had Director's Cut today, you don't have a new homework assignment (as long as you did your homework last night!).

First Monday in 2012!

Hello 6D students:

Today we practised some of the Chapter 5 concepts and skills that we learned before Christmas. If you haven't already, please view the Chapter 5, Lesson 5 video for Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

It's also a great idea to practise up on the skills in this IXL lesson.

Don't forget to visit this blog every evening that you have math! I will be assigning a video and practise exercise every night.

Thursday's Video and Christmas!

Hi 6D:

Good for you, checking the blog today! We didn't even have math class! Over the holidays, you do not have any homework, but before you return after the break, make sure you have watched Chapter 5, Lesson 5, which was assigned yesterday. We will be continuing with our motion geometry unit after the holidays.

In the meantime, if you start to miss math and you get tired of your Christmas presents, check out IXL and try to master some skills. You're welcome to visit other areas that you haven't been to yet.

Merry Christmas!

Wednesday's Video

We didn't have class today because of our preparations for the mass; I hope to see you there this evening!

You should especially check out the video on Rotation, as we had a challenging time understanding this concept for the last two classes (Lesson 3).

You'll be pleased to know that if you did your videos from last week, there is no new video tonight. Tuesday we will be completing Chapter 5, Lesson 2, so please watch that video by following the link above.

For IXL, your task is to complete problems regarding Translation, Reflection, and Rotation. Translation is what we did in class today, Reflection will be Tuesday, and Rotation will be on Wednesday.
