		<title>Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus in Clinton County</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Mosquitoes collected in Clinton County tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). Mosquito batches collected in Aviston and Bartelso, are the first positive evidence of WNV presence this year in the county. Clinton County is one of 24 counties across the state to have a mosquito collection test positive for WNV in 2013. In 2012, 290 Illinois residents were infected with WNV, resulting in 12 deaths. Fifty-five of Illinois’ 102 counties had humans, birds, mosquitoes and/or horses test positive for the virus. 		<title>Let the Renovations Begin!</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Renovations began today (July 22) in Outpatient Registration! The department will remain open during the estimated eight to ten weeks of construction and those using the area are asked to follow the directional signs. Hospital volunteers will also be on hand to provide directions and assistance. Remodeling of Outpatient Registration is part of a larger project to give the facility’s first floor public areas an update. The project will include adding a fifth registration cubicle, expanding the four existing cubicles and widening the access way. 		<description><![CDATA[ Taking the occasion of their 45th annual meeting, the St. Joseph-Breese Auxiliary presented $1,000 grants-in-aid to 16 healthcare career students including Clare Chiarolanza, Elizabeth Henrichs, Alyssa Hitpas, Haley John&#8230;son, Alison Kalmer, Shannon Mensing, Sarah Pollmann, Ashley Rakers, Brooke Restoff, Alexandria Robben, Macey Smith, Paige Varel, Kari Wiegmann, Lindsey Wiegmann, Erlca Zurliene and Kayla Toennies. Each grant is given in memory or honor of an Auxiliary member or friend. Funding is from the Auxiliary’s Lights for Scholarship, donations, memorials and a benefit walk.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Women undergoing cancer treatments are invited to “Look Good-Feel Better” when St. Joseph’s in Breese hosts a program by that name at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the hospital HealthPlex. Those attending will receive a make-over from cosmetologists with specialized American Cancer Society training to help with skin care, makeup and nail strategies. The hospital’s new Wig Closet will be open following the session and free head coverings and wigs will be available.
