The two-hour forum, open to the public, begins at 8 a.m. in the college's cafeteria, in the student union building. The event appears aimed at promoting the Obama administration's proposals to change the nation's health care system, and countering those of critics such as Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Strafford..

Posted 5:14 p.m. Thurs. July 16 - On the same day that a big chunk of the world apparently stood still for the funeral of entertainer Michael Jackson, a stamp was issued with the image of Anna Julia Cooper. Although she lacked his fame, she had a greater impact than Jackson, no matter how good his music.
