Action Bronson just put out visuals for "Strictly 4 My Jeeps," featuring weightlifting, cartwheels, and Riff Raff. This video, like many of his others, captures his humor and spontaneous personality as he raps on this 90s-esque Harry Fraud beat. Look out for his debut album, Saab Stories, which will be released in June.

Duzzo x Granata - The Phi$hing EP (Deluxe Edition)

Last year we introduced you all to our fellow stag, Duzzo Dave. Over the past year he has released some very impressive projects that have defined who he is as a rapper. His last solo project, MGLL (mygirlooklike) was a well-crafted concept mixtape using beats by Pete Rock. His use of skits from the indie film, Raising Victor Vargas at the end of each song took us through his summertime and relationship issues creating a very relatable and memorable musical experience. After receiving a lot of buzz from music lovers around the tri-state area, especially from his hometown of Norwalk, he put together another summertime hit with Granata; a Darien, CT native and recent University of Tampa graduate.

In the realm of new rappers that don't really release duo mixtapes, this EP makes Duzzo and Granata stand out. Adding to the trend of the 90s this year, the beats as well as their lyrical content on this are raw and classic. With 7 songs, from their initial April 17th release and 3 bonus tracks from the deluxe edition release earlier this week, both of these rappers have put together a solid project that showcases their skills and puts them on the map in the Connecticut rap scene. Kendrick Lamar - Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe (Official Video)

Kendrick just dropped the new official video for probably my favorite track off of his major label debut album GKMC, "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe". The video's got a funeral theme to it, more than likely "burying" all of the commercial hip-hop shit that runs the airwaves these days. Check it out above, its complete with a Mike Epps cameo.

MisterWives - Vagabond (Salinger Remix)

Looks like we are going to keep the MisterWives train rolling today. Although it's not an original release from the group, we got hooked up with an extremely dope remix of their smash single "Vagabond". Brooklyn native Salinger puts his own original flair that provides an almost throwback nod to the 80's Miami music scene (think soundtrack to the movie Drive). With a mellow and super chill rendition, Salinger arranges a remix that can be listened to while studying for finals or when you're vibin' out during your pre-game.

This relatively unknown producer is someone that has some serious potential if he keeps providing remixes like these. We are also including his super dope remix of Foster The People's "Helena Beat". This remix is more upbeat than "Vagabond" with a trance vibe that has to crush the club scene.

If you dig his sounds like I do, you can find Salinger at the Lit Lounge NYC (located on 6th Street and 2nd ave.) on most Friday nights.

MisterWives - Coffins x Lullaby Video Release

"I don’t believe it! It just continues! My, oh my!". Words dropped by a young wordsmith from Seattle born Ben Haggerty. These simple words illustrate my feelings about the run MisterWives have been on to a T. It began with a little tune titled "Vagabond" that set my belief that this band from the Queens / Bronx could be something special. On it went with every new release. Growing and cultivating an Indie / Pop / Soul sound to perfection. They continue to exceed every expectation for growth with their work.

In essence, MisterWives have reached a pinnacle. With the release of their newest single "Coffins" and their first ever video (for "Lullaby"), MisterWives are about to set the music world on fire.

"Coffins" is a ballad that illustrates Ms. Mandy Lee's vocal capability to the best degree. It's smooth, yet powerful in the way that "Lullaby" is. "Coffins" broaches a subject matter that few musicians touch upon : Death. Not many people would categorize a song about this subject as beautiful, but simply that's what this single is. The verses and chorus each provoke thought. What we have here is a "rabbit hole", an adventure into the unknown. While the subject matter is death, the lyricism leaves the interpretation up to the listener. Is it about suicide, death of a loved one, or something else? The mystery of how you interpret the music personally is the beauty of this song. The musical elements have just as great an effect as the lyricism. The use of piano, violin, and cello stand out to me and add a great dynamic to Mandy's voice.

Talk about a hell of a first video release. Huge kudos to Director Will Lucas. This video is not only edgy, but casts light on the artistic side of MisterWives in an Adele-like manner. The imagery and visual interpretation of the lyricism intertwined with Mandy's voice is chilling. This video captures the energy she brings in a concert, but in a different more solemn and majestic way. Although the video may be in black and white, it does not lack color one bit. If we can expect future videos from MisterWives to be anything like this, the bar has been set extremely high.

Although The Great Gatsby has 21 compelling tracks on their soundtrack an argument can be made that "Lullaby" should be Track 22.

Chance The Rapper - AcidRap (Mixtape)

Chicago native, Chance The Rapper put out the highly anticipated AcidRap mixtape this past Tuesday; it has already been considered one of the best mixtapes of April and potentially of 2013. The tape has 13 songs and features artists such as Action Bronson, Ab-Soul, BJ the Chicago Kid and Childish Gambino. With amazing production, tales from his life in Chicago, and his catchy "AH!" ad-lib we love so much, Chance The Rapper has put together a well-thought-out project. The new album seems like it's going to have a much different sound than what many have come to expect from Mac, but this one has that classic BDE, KIDS feel to it. It's a jazzy, sax accompanied beat produced by Hannibal King and Mac adds in some laid back verses. Check it out below.

Lana Del Rey - Young And Beautiful x Gatsby Soundtrack Snippets

Tracks from the soundtrack for the upcoming Gatsby film are slowly finding their way onto the internet and this soundtrack is going to be packed with brand new material from all of your favorite artists. The full version of Lana Del Rey's input to the film hit the internet today and if you're an LDR fan theres no way you can hate on it. Her voice sounds unreal, and two snippets of other tracks also found their way onto the internet. A snippet of Jay-Z's "100$ Bill" and Beyonce and Andre 3000's cover of the late Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black" have also made their way out. Love this collaboration, a lot was said of Avicii's new material after his slightly off-putting set at Ultra weekend 1 but this track sounds great and Aloe Blacc's vocals are perfect. He is gearing up for the release of his latest mixtape Young Sinatra: Welcome To Forever and has just dropped the first single off of the project. He touches the legendary "Ms. Jackson" instrumental from OutKast and murders it. Lyrically there are no up-and-comers who even come close to touching Logic these days. Check it out below and enjoy.
