Hello! Today I'm en route to Richmond, VA. We'll close on our house tomorrow & hopefully move in that same day. Wheee! I'm getting excited.

Today's card is another one that my Up-Upline, Karin, made for me for being in the top 10 in sales in her downline. I really love this card!

The Sweet Pea DSP is such a huge paper pack with so many gorgeous colors! This sheet with the circles is one of my favorites.

The Sweet Pea Stitched Felt is so yummy! I'm hoarding mine, but I have great plans for a gorgeous scrapbook page with the flowers on there, so check back to see them! They will be part of my April Scrapper's Express Club. That paper pack is just awesome for scrapbooking!

Tailgating Wheel Thank You Card

They're loading the moving truck... wheeeee! I can't believe this day has finally come.

Thinking about the moving truck made me think of this card that I made for my son's birthday thank you cards. With the Stampin' Around Wheels, it is a snap to make a cute, very quick card. Literally, this card took me 1 minute to make!

The notecard comes in a set of 20 with matching envelopes, so all you do is stamp & write it. So easy!

The Tailgating standard wheel was inked in Soft Suede. I lined up the wheel so that the truck would be at the edge of the page & just rolled the wheel across the card.

My son's name was inked in Handsome Hunter. He is very sensitive about anything that doesn't scream "boy", so I was thrilled that this card passed his guidelines.

Lovely Flowers

Hello! Things are crazy around here, so my posts over the next week will be short, but I'll still post a project every day! All of my stamping supplies are all boxed up, so no stamping for me for a few days. :-( Oh well, at least I have this awesome swap that my downline, Kim, made. It features the Lovely Flowers Level 3 Hostess Bundle. Aren't those flower stamps gorgeous? And the DSP is so pretty that comes with it. The color combination of Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, & Old Olive is so yummy! Thanks Kim, for such a great card!

Hello Again Tea Party

Hello! Ooh, things are crazy at my house! The movers came this morning & started boxing up everything! And they tried to pack up my stamp room while I was gone! Ack! I have my Scrapper's Express Club tonight (I know, I am completely out of my mind), and they might have packed up something we'll need! Luckily, one of them wanted to wait & see if it was okay, so crisis averted. Tomorrow the will pack up the rest of the house, including my stamp room & computer (ACK!), so my posts might be irregular for the next few days.

But you didn't come here to hear my tales of woe, did you? You came to see & hear about a project! :-) This card is another one I created this week when I broke into my Hello Again stamp set that I got for FREE as a Sale-A-Bration item. I love love love the way they did SAB this year! I got so many new free stamp sets, & I haven't even had a chance to play with most of them yet.

The soft & pretty Tea Party Designer Series Paper set the color combination, so designing this card was a snap.

The flower stamp was inked with Stampin' Write Markers in Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, and Certainly Celery. Pretty!

The purple DSP was given a sweet scalloped treatment with the Scalloped Edge Punch, and the corners of the main image were rounded with the corner rounder punch.

The edges of the main image were sponged with So Saffron ink and a sponge dauber.

Whimsical Words Wine Tag

Hi there! Today's project is one that my friend & downline, Kim, made for me as a going-away present. (There has to be something good about moving! LOL!) How awesome is this? When I saw the Sale-A-Bration DSP, Welcome Neighbor, I couldn't believe it had all those houses on it right when we are moving... seemed meant to be!

Kim took the large house image on the DSP & matted it with cardstock & DSP. The whole thing measures 8 1/2 x 3 3/4. She scored the Soft Suede piece at 3 inches, and used the 1 3/4" Circle punch to make the opening for the neck of the wine (or other beverage) bottle.

She cleverly stamped right on the DSP in the sky in the most perfect sentiment... "You're never more than a thought away". Then she added a tag that says "Happiness Always". Can you believe how perfect those words are for someone who is moving away?

I am so touched my how thoughtful everyone has been with their kind words of encouragement and best wishes, and by the perfect gifts. Thank you all so much! I'm going to miss everyone here in Raleigh, and I'm so thankful that Stampin' Up has brought so many wonderful people into my life these past 2 years. Can't wait to get it going in Richmond! You stay classy, Raleigh! (You did see Anchorman, right?) :-)

Big Shot Scallop Square Quilt Purse

Woo hoo, look what Tia made for me as a going away present! I absolutely love it... my favorite colors! (The photo doesn't do it justice). These quilted bags are all over the place, since the Big Shot was demonstrated using fabric at Leadership this year. Did you know that our dies cut through lots of different materials, even thin metal? Click here to see the list!

To make this purse, Tia die cut lots of Scallop Squares, added a layer of batting between 2 squares, & stitched an "x" across each square to keep the batting in place. Then she lined them up in the pattern that she wanted & stitched them together. After it was all put together, she took her scissors & cut each scallop, being careful not to cut the stitching, so when she washed it, it has that antique-quilt look. Gorgeous!

Hello Again in Melon Mambo

Hi there! Today's project is one that I CASEd from the demonstrator monthly magazine, Stampin' Success. The card in the magazine has the same layout & even uses Melon Mambo patterns paper, but I changed up the stamp set used and the color combination.

It was such an "Ah Ha!" moment for me when I realized that I didn't have to create every project 100% from my imagination. CASE stands for "Copy And Share Everything". Love it!

The Melon Mambo Patterns DSP adds an interesting tone-on-tone look to the Melon Mambo cardstock.

A sliver of Old Olive and Textured Crushed Curry on each side of the whisper white cardstock add a dash of color and pull the whole card together. The Old Olive brad and Satin Ribbon add a nice touch of dimension.

The flower stamp from the Hello Again stamp set was inked on the ink pads, just by inking part of the stamp on Melon Mambo ink, then turning the stamp around & inking the stem side in Old Olive. I cleaned my stamp & inked the flower in Crushed Curry, then cut out the center of the flower & added it to my Melon Mambo flower.

Friends Rock Thank You Card

Hello! Today is my daughter's last guitar lesson before we move to Richmond, so I made this card for her teacher, who we think the world of. It features the Friends Rock stamp set and the coordinating Rockin' wheel, which are perfect for this occasion! I stamped the guitar image on the inside of the card.

The patterned paper is from the Thoroughly Modern paper pack. I love the Bermuda Bay, Black & White combo!

The filigree brad adds the perfect touch of pizzazz to the card, & coordinates with the pattern on the DSP.

Lots of dimensionals were used on this project-- good thing I don't have to mail it! :-)

Good Neighbors meet Bella's Bloom

Hi there! Today's card is one that I CASED off of the internet, sorry I can't remember where I saw it! I changed the colors, but kept the design the same. I loved the tiny tag tied around that wide, striped ribbon with Linen Thread. Too cute!

Good Neighbors and Bella's Bloom are both stamp sets that you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration, which ends March 31st! Stampin' Up really spoiled us this year with such a long SAB period and so many FREE stamp sets to choose from! I've definitely taken advantage of this great promotion, & have lots of new stamp sets to prove it!

The Tiny Tags stamp set and the Medium Jewelry Tag punch were made for each other, and make such a great detail for a card.

Stamping the house, roof, & clouds was a snap with the clear mount stamps. I could place them right where I wanted them!

The project got extra dimension from the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder for the Real Red Card base & for the tree circle that was popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

I had my last local stamp club classes at my Raleigh home on Sunday & Monday, & it was a little bit sad. It is always hard to close a chapter, but I'm excited about the next one! Thanks so much to all of my wonderful Raleigh customers. It has been a pleasure having you as my customers and friends, and I will miss you!
