About the Retiring Accessories

Earlier this week I posted about the Stamp sets that are retiring. And I wrote that the Accessories list will be out on April 25th. Here is some important information about the retiring accessories:

The Retiring Accessories List (buttons, ribbons, ink refills, paper, etc) is going to be released on April 25th.

Unlike the Stamps list, this list changes daily because the stock sells out quickly and they don’t restock it. So, when their stock of accessories is gone, it’s gone!

You will need to create a Stampin’ Up login and password if you have not done it already to be able to shop and there is a minimum $6.95 shipping charge for orders under $69.50 and after that it’s the standard 10%. You should order quickly or take your chances that it MIGHT be on the Clearance Rack. (retired stamps won’t be on the clearance rack – those will be unavailable after May 31st. )

If you order accessories from me, I will get the order in ASAP and email you back a confirmation so you’ll know I got it. Sometimes things sell out as you are ordering so early is better. To be extra sure that you get it before it sells out shop in my online store.

Tips Video for the Paper Doily Die

The new Paper Doily Sizzix Die from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog (page 7) creates an intricate doily design from single layers of Designer Series Paper or card stock using this newly-sized larger Sizzlits die.

This die is not for the speedy stamper, but the extra effort makes for a beautiful project! As you’ll see in the video below, the bigger pieces drop out by themselves, but the little ones need to be (carefully!) poked out with your Snips or Paper-Piercing Tool.

Mini Pantry-Makeover / Mini Despensa Renovación

So, I was filling up my new glass canisters with flour, sugar and powdered sugar and thought that it will be hard to tell the difference between them all. My first thought was simply a piece of paper taped on the canister as the label. But then I remembered what my friend Linda Mallam was going to use to make labels: chalkboard vinyl and the Top Notes Die. A match made in Heaven!

My first thought was on the left…useful enough, but so much prettier with the chalkboard Top Notes. Plus, if I decide to change the change the contents, then I can easily erase the chalk and re-write it. And the best part? It was AMAZINGLY easy and fast.

Leadership Highlights

Here I am with all my travel companions! We all had a great time and although this photo was taken at 10pm after a NONSTOP 2 1/2 days, we all still looked great! Thanks so much for all the laughs girls!!! (L-R) Carolyn, Linda, Me, Jackie, Lisa, Mandy and Vickie

Each year, Stampin’ Up! hosts the leaders who have achieved certain titles for a 2-3 day conference focusing on business, working with our demonstrator teams and networking. And this year I qualified, and whew, what an event! It was a jam-packed two and a half days with so much information, products, news and FUN! Stampin Up! is an amazing company that really cares about it's demonstrators. This Leadership Conference emphasized this point and I am so proud to be a part of such a wonderful company!

Another wonderful thing about Stampin Up!.....the friendships. I have made so many friends with Stampin Up! and it was truly wonderful to go to leadership and meet new friends and spend some great times with old ones--old being the friendships, not the friends :).

Owl Card
My first project to share with you this month is this Owl card (I’m sorry for the poor picture quality).

I love this punch, which is quite versatile. Besides this cuter than cute owl, the punch can also be used to make a penguin, a tulip, and much more.

Amanda’s Stamp Pad Tips:

~The background texture is created using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

~The owl was punched once in each color: Cherry cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. Use the leftovers to create two more owls.

~Save Paper: Punch the owl out of the center of the Cherry Cobbler Card Stock that is layered behind the Newsprint Designer Series Paper.

Build A Bear Birthday

Amanda’s Stamp Pad Tips:
~This adorable little bear’s clothes were created using the new In-Colors, Concord Crush, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.

~Do you see the cupcake on her card? I used a marker to ink a single cupcake from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set for the perfectly sized card.

This card is inspired by a card I received in a swap by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Abby Biringer.

~Notice the stencil in the background—it is the vintage stencil and Crumb Cake classic ink.

~A great color combination is using the new colors Marina Mist, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.
