On July 20 we welcomed our 3rd grandson into the family. We are crazy about this little guy. I am sharing my joy with all by offering a Baby Theo Special. Easter has come and gone...

What a wonderful Easter weekend we had - despite the below seasonal temperatures, we did have some sunshine. Our family was able to gather on Sunday for a traditional Easter dinner - turkey, ham AND pumpkin pie. I found that rolling the dough was very good therapy for my wrist now that my cast is OFF!!

Our grandsons loved hunting for Easter eggs in the backyard. They shared well and didn't eat TOO many before dinner.

What fun to have my three grown children together, and to see our youngest grandson bonding with his cousin-to-be. My husband took these photos and missed a few of the family members! Oops!

Now I am working on getting the Annual 2022-2023 catalogue out to my customers, planning a very special event in May, and my May and June classes. I am also booking home parties. These can take a variety of forms and are such a fun way to connect with friends.

"Fight4Freedom exists to be an active voice and advocate of justice for individuals and communities exploited by sex trafficking and to further assist them in finding necessary support systems that will aid in their journey to safety, healing, and freedom. " We are aiming to get a Stampin’ Up! Crafting kit into the hands of the survivors so they may enjoy an evening of crafting together. We will host a Zoom night and help these amazing women take time out for themselves.

I spent the afternoon cleaning and organizing my paper and my cupboards in my Studio. Wow, it sure feels better! I am a messy stamper - I need to have everything around me when I am creating, however, my cupboards and shelves are now more organized.

I am getting ready to host my Sweet & Simple class Friday and Saturday. I don't want to give away the surprise by showing the cards - but I will show you the cute little treat box I made for everyone!

Being able to donate brings me joy!

I was asked by a church nearby if I had any cards which I could donate. They have a Missions Team who likes to encourage those in the Mission field by sending birthday and anniversary cards. I wanted to make sure I had cards which would appeal to the different age groups. I was able to put together a box of 37 cards for them to start with.

I love to donate cards a couple of times a year. I have given Christmas cards, Mother's Day and Father's Day cards to Senior's residences. I have also blessed educators with motivating/thank you cards. Do you know of an organization which would love to receive handmade cards? Reach out to me.

Vacation time = coming home relaxed

I decided to take a week off from my Stampin' Up! responsibilities and get away. My husband and I took our trailer for the first trip of the season. We headed north and despite some chilly nights, we were able to stay warm and enjoy biking, hiking and kayaking.

The first day was rain on and off but we got close to loons, turtles and beavers! Then we were surprised by a Hercules Airplane which buzzed very low over the lake!

I do love a good campfire - and of course we roasted marshmallows!

On the next expedition I tried shooting some rapids! First time for that!! Although I got wedged on some rocks a couple of times, I did not tip over or get wet. I call that a WIN!!

I also learned to portage the kayaks. My husband and I were a great team!! We never had to double back.

No matter how much fun we have while away, there is no place like home - - until the next holiday! :-)

Timeless Tulips - Projects

I absolutely love this time of year when the tulips are out in bloom. Often the first bit of colour we see after a long winter. I have chosen the Timeless Tulips stamp set and Tulip builder punch for my Wednesday at 7, weekly facebook LIVE Tea & Cards series.

Here are the first 3 projects.

The techniques featured on these cards are masking and adding sponging a second colour of ink.

1- 6 x 6 inch piece of patterned paper

Adhesive, scrap of cardstock in a coordinating colour to the patterned paper (about a 2 inch square will be great)

I am making a card as well. Here is what you will need

Cardstock base - 4 ¼ x 5 ½

coordinating layer 4 x 5 ¼

layer (same colour as base) 3 ¼ x 8 ½ scored at 4 ¼

Patterned paper 3 x 4; ½ x 3

Basic white layer for inside 3 x 4

Basic white label - (I am using a 1 ¾ inch circle)

I am adding a Scalloped circle die 2 inch in card base colour

Adhesive and stampin’ dimensionals

Set your alarm, gather your supplies and I will see you tomorrow at 7 pm.

Spring is in the air

Well, spring is officially here, rains have started and the spring flowers are sprouting.

I have been making Easter cards, and getting my April Tea & Cards kits in the mail.

For the month of March, I will be featuring the "Playing with Patterns" designer series paper and the stamp set "Pattern Play". These two products are part of a full suite of coordinating items which include resin dots, ribbon combo pack and even dies to cut out all the letters of the alphabet.

There is so much flexibility for this card - - choose the colours you would like to feature from the Designer Paper. Allow the ink colour to compliment the paper strips.
