A couple of weeks ago, I had a "scrapbooking date" with my daughter Chrissy.  She had called me up and said she had a bunch of pictures she wanted to scrapbook.  When she got home she had over 150 pictures and she thought we would get them done in a day. . . well, she arrived home around 6pm and had to leave at noon on Sunday – yeah right!   Well, we got 26 pages done!  Pretty good I thought.  We made a great team, she bunched the pictures, I chose the colors, she helped with layouts, titles and taping in place.   We even decorated the front of her new album using the decor elementsand ribbon.  We cut her initials from the chocolate vinyl available in our catalog and that was the finishing touch.  Chrissy had a great time showing all of her friends her new scrapbook. 

Oh, you might wonder how many pictures were left?  Well, quite a few – no new dates scheduled but, she did leave the pictures home for me to work on in my spare time! 

I am enjoying the great new selections in the Definitely Decorative catalog.  See the new catalog HERE.  It’s a great way to add a new touch or a new look without breaking the budget or the hassle or painting!  I love this quote by Rose Kennedy.  When you attend one of my upcoming classes, you’ll see this addition to my stampin’ spot!  I have 2 other Decor Element projects that I made today as well. . .. more to come on that later. 

Here is another Decor Element that I added above my door.  It’s a great reminder to Dream BIG! 

Have you seen the Blue Room lately?  (if note, then you are overdue for a class in my Stampin’ Spot!)  This is the large Tree, Thoughts and Prayers in Chocolate.   I also added the Direction of your Dreams quote.  It fits nicely on this wall don’t you think? 

Add that to our regular markers and you’re really set in the color department!  I am looking for 2 more customers to join a marker club. . . .let me know if you are interested!

OK, aren’t we all lovin’ the BIG SHOT?   Here are two of the new dies;  Flower Folds and Elegant Bouquet.  Both are exclusive to Stampin’ Up! 

Flower Folds - this die has 4 flowers with folds in them so that you get a 3 dimensional look to your projects.   I can’t wait to use this one on a scrapbook page (hmmmm, that would be a great first set of pages for the scrapbook club!).   On this card, I have used the 3 smaller flowers.  Of course you are seeing a blend of the In Colors (Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo). 

Elegant Bouquet Embossing folder - there are TWO new embossing folders!  We loved (and still do) the Manhattan Flower die – and now we have two more!    Yippeee!  On this card, I used the Stampin’ Pastels and highlighted the embossed image.  Note our new punch with the greeting.  Stay tuned for more with this punch!

I hope everyone had an awesome Fourth of July.  Thanks to those who serve us in our military and their families that provide us with the opportunity to have an Independance Day!  I had an awesome weekend.  It started out Thursday and Friday fishing with my husband, Jim.  Yes, I fished my first fishing tournament. . . and no there was no beginners luck.  Shucks.  On Saturday, we traveled home stopping at several farmers markets and having a great time.  Jim bought me a fabulous basket from an Amish booth.  On Saturday night, we had a "date"!  Well, not exactly as you might think, we sat on our patio, had the candles lit, bonfire in the burner, popcorn, wine and the neighborhood fireworks right in front of us.  Totally awesome!
